I almost ordered a Small, and it's a good job I didn't ! Medium is the perfect fit to wear over a sweatshirt or small jacket. Feels roomy and comfortable with just a T-shirt. Very lightweight, and folds up small (but doesn't fold into its own pocket like some, and there is no storage pouch).Feels excellent quality, as you'd expect from a premium brand - it's the softer style of cagoule 'outer' layer, with a comfy internal mesh. Note there is no padding/insulation. The collar is cloth-coated to give a nice feel against your face, and hopefully it won't go 'bobbly' after rubbing against a stubbly beard.I have yet to wear this in the rain.2 rather odd things - the plastic 'pulls'for the hood drawstring become lost in the lining (maybe to stop them bobbing around your chin), and also the zip is actually on the wrong side, on the right ! (Not a deal breaker, but a bit annoying. After a quick google, this appears to be a North Face design choice). 4/5

I was looking for a jacket that would offer some wind and rain proffing but without being heavy or too warm.I have had lots of TNF stuff before so when I saw this I had a fair expectation as to quality etcAt a shade over fifty notes this jacket represents good value in my opinion. It is well made and light weight.I opted for bright blue for a change and it doesn't disappoint. Size is about right, I'm normally an xl and this leaves enough room for layers under neath.Wind and rain were handled with ease with this jacket. theres a mesh lining to make it more comfortable and its ideal for the school run or a hike, whatever.Being tall I wish the jacket was a bit longer but thats me not the jacket and I'm not unrealistic about that. The hood is good but does obscure peripheral vision a bit.Handy amount of pockets and it rolls or folds flat nicely.Really like this jacket, its great value.

I bought this jacket as a Christmas present for my fiancé as he needed a light weight waterproof as he's always getting soaked when out on the golf course. He has said it's really comfortable and keeps him surprisingly warm for how thin the jacket is. He is 5'9" and of average build and I wasn't too sure of the sizes so I got him a large which looked huge in the packet but when he put it on it fit really well and left enough room for good movement even with a shirt and golf jumper underneath- possibly a little roomy under the arms but overall a good fit. He loves it so much it's now become his everyday jacket especially as the weather has been terribly wet recently.A really great product and excellent and prompt delivery service by Amazon... Although the packaging was HUGE and the item inside tiny!

I originally ordered S but M arrived which was huge so decided to try XS. My son is 5ft6 & 28" waist XS perfect fit & roomy enough to wear over layers or hoodie. His fave coat is Northface resolve jacket which he wears all the time & is looking quite tired so i decided to buy a replacement. This new jacket is genuine with original labels, tags & holographic label. The brands are woven. The hood rolls into the collar. Although the hood has elastic cord i dont know how to hold the cord in place if tightened. Hood is big. The coat & pockets are lined with mesh. 2 zipped pockets. Zip and velcro at front with 1 stud at bottom. Adjustable waist

I previously have had the Large size for the past 4-5 years but after all these years it is slightly worn out. I had been searching for a while so I could buy at a decent price. I paid around £55 which is about right for this jacket. I opted for XL size this time so that in the winter months I can wear a fleece or a hoody underneath and still be able to move around in the jacket. It's also very good in the summer months when u need to wear something in the evenings, it's very cool and never makes u feel hot. Upon arriving I compared everything with the previous one and it's just the same. I hope this will also last me another 4-5 years.

Very, very pleased. If you're a big guy, you can always get a waterproof that fits around the waist, but it will be too long, or the arms are correct for an orangutan. This is a great fit. Breathability is fine (I'm wearing it right now in a July rainstorm) and there's enough room to get a fleece on in the winter months. Just a couple of outside pockets, so there's no extra stitching to let rain in. Loses a mark because the hood can't be adjusted and looks like a monk's cowl. It does fold into the collar though.

Was cheap (I purchased this for £43.74) and is great quality. The jacket fits me perfectly as expected (I purchased small.) This does have the American style zip which some people may dislike, I don't really mind, although it did take me a while to get use to it.I usually wear this jacket with the The North Face Men's Etip Outdoor Gloves (Navy blue) which goes extremely well together. It's important to remember there are no pockets in the inner layer of the jacket.

I am not a review after you buy type of person. I was going to have this item for more than 1 year if I had it now. I was wearing daily basis, almost every day. My father got it now for 8 months and I'm sure he is enjoying as much as I was.Highly recommended! No wind, no rain, no heaviness on your shoulders. You might feel really cold if you just wear a t-shirt and this together in January. But if you looking for wind-breaker type waterproof jacket go for it!

During its first month in my possession this jacket has been worn through some of the wettest and windiest weather autumn could throw at it, and has protected me well from both. The only (very minor) criticism I would make is that the pockets aren't as deep as I would have liked. There has been a tendency for some things (like my spectacle case) to fall out, particularly when sitting down, but that problem can largely be resolved by use of the zips.

Quality product that should last over time, a good light hardshell that allows you to stay dry, while being comfortable, without internet and external humidity, to use summer on stormy weather while not really having too hot, for fall or winter hikes, possibility of stacking layers (t-shirts, fleece, sweater ...) to be warmer without being hampering our movements. A great product The north Face at a very reasonable price, I recommend.

Yes very good , as expected coming from North Face. I feel the jacket is breathable , and even when running in this jacket I am not too hot . I regret not getting large , instead of X large . Great price , and let the richer sheeple in UK get the more expensive , less striking NF jackets from the high street to wear on the crowded trains in the morning on the way to the office .

excellent lightweight rain jacket, I bought this for a trip to center parcs for when the weather wasn't at its best and just as it promised it kept me bone dry when the rain decided to come, the overall quality of the jacket is excellent as you except from north face products and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a jacket to keep them dry in the wet weather.

Bought for my son who seems happy enough. Don't get all the hoo-haa about brands personally - just an excuse to hike prices often. Difficult to tell with items like this whether it really makes a difference. But that said there's nothing wrong with this jacket. But I do wonder if one half the price would have looked just as good - just no North Face logo...

A waterproof windbreak of good quality, tested during heavy rain for 2 h. No problem. Wide design, it is little adjusted in size M for person of athletic build of 1.68 m and 72 kg. The hood is large and can only be adjusted laterally, but has no back adjustment. I recommend it for travel and hiking, but not for high mountain technical activities.

Good product. It keeps me warm and dry even when heavy rains in the UK. It’s warm enough for autumn and early winter but I recommend wearing a sweater in side just incase. Overall it’s a very good product. I’m 185cm height, and 75kg weight and the size M completely fits me well.
