Arrived ahead of time and well packaged. Bought primarily to use as a quick go to waterproof outer layer to put over my hiking kit when the weather turns...It's made of 10,000 hydrostatic head waterproof/breathable fabric, plenty for the British weather, got a very good hood, fully adjustable. Only downside is it Could've done with a "Napoleon" Map pocket and have the pockets slightly higher so they don't interfere with a climbing or Rucksack harness/belt, all in all for the price and style I'm very happy with my purchase......EDIT: I thought I'd add to the review after I've had the jacket a year...1: It is a lovely jacket, stylish, waterproof and Ideal for EVERY DAY USE!

I like this jacket. It looks good and I gave the waterproofing a good trial the other day and it kept out the rain well, comparable to my North Face Gortex jacket. It's light (which it good for me) and fits comfortably. Because it is unlined I found the inside is a little uncomfortable on bare skin (say if you're wearing a T-shirt), but with another layer underneath, it is great, good value for money. The only real downside for me (hence the 4 stars) are the hood 'lapels', which, when the hood is down and the main zip is not fully fastened up, seem to sit at awkward angles; but this shouldn't detract too much from the quality of the jacket.

This jacket is a lovely piece of clothing! Not bad for under £50. I recently bought another Berghaus jacket which I was also pleased with that cost over £200. This led me on to buy two fleece jackets and then this last jacket. It's quite thin but what would you expect for under £50. Fine with the fleece underneath.My only grumble is that you are supposed to get a bits and bobs bag with it, which I did not get, watch the video and you shall see you should have received a bag with this lovely item. It's not in the pocket so I shall be contacting Amazon with regards to this. My original 5 stars has now become 2 as I am feeling cheated.

I have worn this in the rain a few times now and does seem to do the job well for keeping the rain out but a bit disappointed in the 'breathability' side. I bought it to replace a previous running waterproof which has now died and reading the spec thought it would do the job. So far I've worn it once on a run and I may aswell not have worn it because it was so wet inside from not letting the body breath and I'm not a particularly sweaty person. As a general waterproof-seems good! As a breathable waterproof-not so sure.

very good jacket. was a replacement for my old goretex paclite jacket.very good fit and feel to the jacket. it is waterproof and does a very good job and is pretty windproof too.only downside is the lack of breathability and ventilation. after a while it can feels very warm and sweaty wearing it...a bit like a boil in the bagbut for the price its still very good value for money

Good quality outer shell. This is great for low-medium activity but wouldn't recommend it for anything strenuous as the fabric isn't breathable leading you to being soaked in your sweat. Something to note is that the hood does not fold away or zip in the collar but as this principally designed to be used in rain/wind that shouldn't be an issue.

When I ordered this item I assumed it was like the Berghaus jacket I was replacing, however this is much better quality than the old one (even when it was new) and already tested as shower proof. My only slight gripe is the description "breathable" doesn't mean you don't get sweaty when wearing it but nothing unique to Berghaus

Brilliant jacket.Went for the Black one.Completely waterproof,comes with a proper hood and not one of them stupid fold away ones.Washes really well and can even tumble dry on low heat.Probably one of the best jackets I own.With the winter coming up you can easily slip a fleece on under it.bargain price too

Decent coat. Have worn in a few heavy downpours and it’s kept me dry. People have complained about perspiring and being soaked from the inside but I’ve never found that at all. The cut is quite ‘bikefit’ however. Longer at the back and quite high against the waist at the front and longish arms.Bye.

Doesn't keep you warm but if your running it will heat up a little. Nothing major, considering the UK weather being currently cold. If it warms up and rains I can imagine it being a little too warm but nothing opening up the zip a little wouldn't solve. I like it.

Reasonably priced waterproof jacket from a leading brand.It does an excellent job, and the material is strong yet lightweight. 2 zip pockets as advertised and a toggle on the hood to tighten it.It will make noise if you wear it hunting, however

As I’m using this for a cycling trip. I was disappointed not to have the carry bag. It states in the advert that it comes with a carry bag. This would of been ideal for my trip. Though I can’t fault the price or the jacket. Excellent value.

This is a amazing lightweight waterproof jacket for the price. Keep it in your pack just in case the heavens open up. As good as jackets at least twice the price, and it’s Berghaus. I’ve have no leaks and the breathabliity seems to be good.

Great light and waterproof - no excuses not to go running in the rain with this on your coat rack. You will sweat like a teenager on his first date though as it has no wicking properties at all (as you'd expect being waterproof and all!).

Love this jacket, the color fit, but one would be as well advised to get waterproof pants as well, as by my reckoning the jacket is a bit on the short size, I use mine all the time with either Colombia trousers or Berghaus trousers.
