I waited for this coat to be back in stock in the Eggplant color. I'm very glad I did. I really like it. This is a very nice coat and warm. I live in a colder climate and I feel it is sufficient for the -5 degree weather we can get. This is the first coat I've had where I really like the hood. It has an elastic around it and stays on my head. All coats I've had in the past blow off and I would keep having to put it back on. As for the size, I am 5'4" and 165 pounds. I initially ordered an XL and I felt I had too much wiggle room. I ordered the Large to compare the two. I kept the Large because even wearing a sweater/sweatshirt underneath, I still had room. I had no issues sending back the XL.

Beautiful Red color! Fur trim is realistic and perfect with the red. I wear L- XL juniors in sweatshirts because of bust, waist smaller proportionately. I love the fit because it cinches in. Could be a little smaller though. I purchased it the first time a Large through another place. This one I bought was an X large and I'm happier! It's exactly the same color and quality wise. The reason I bought another one was, family member loved it so much and because I said it was a little snug on top. Glad I got another! Some people's reviews said feathers popping out. I haven't had this issue. I mean maybe one, but it's a down jacket! I wasn't surprised! Washes up nice, just remember to take off fur trim!!!

I love this jacket! I get cold really easily; I have to wear a jacket even when being in an air-conditioned room for a long time. This jacket was warm and lightweight, and great for 50F weather, with only a cashmere sweater and a thin t-shirt underneath. I always heard good things about NorthFace, but could never bring myself to spend that kind of money. However, I ended up on a trip without my jacket, and out of desperation, I bought this on Amazon and had it shipped in one day with my Prime account. And I do not regret my purchase! I traveled around a lot, and the lightweight aspect was so helpful! I loved this jacket so much that I bought one for my mom, too. For reference, I am 5'2", 110 lbs,

IMMA START BY SAYING THIS BCSE I READ ALOT OF PEOPLE REVIEWS AND I WASNT PLEASED WITH THEIR COMMENTS ON THIS COAT WELP IMMA SAY THIS I JUST RECEIVED MINES YESTERDAY AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT I BOUGHT AN XL I WAS SKEPTICAL ABOUT THE SIZE BCSE OF MY ARMS IM 5'9 250LBS SOLID WEIGHT, BUT WHEN I TRIED IT ON IT FITS PERFECTLY NO TIGHTNESS IN THE ARMS VERY COMFORTABLE AND I LOVE THE BLACK FUR HOODIE,IF YOUR JACKET RIPS ITS BCSE ITS NOT BEING TAKEN CARE OF THE RIGHT WAY U CANT CONSTANTLY WHERE THIS TYPE OF JACKET EVERY SINGLE DAY OF COURSE ITS GOING TO GET DAMAGED SO STOP BLAMING THE COMPANY I BEEN ORDERING OFF AMAZON FOR YEARS AND I NEVERRRR HAD AN DAMAGED ITEM FROM THEM SO I KNOW READING THESE REVIEWS

It's a very nice coat. Every once in awhile I'll see a small feather poke out. No big deal. The logo is sewn onto the front. The tag also says north face. The material is like a matte black compared to other coats I have purchased. The fur on the hood is very soft. It's got a zipper on the hood so you can actually take the fur off if you don't wanna wear it. There are locking draw strings on the hood as well. Pockets zip up so I don't lose my keys or phone. I do wish it had a hidden pocket on the inside. I can't complain about it at all. I did order a large because I plan to lose more weight before next winter. I'm 5'0 180 lbs it does zip up but it's just a tad tight.

I bought this coat for my daughter and I accidentally bought a size too big. So I tried it on and it fit great! This coat is designed to fit a little snug. I suggest if you want to layer a sweater or sweatshirt underneath buy 1-2 sizes bigger. This coat has kept me very warm in sub-zero weather. This coat is made well, as I have had good luck with the quality of NorthFace items previously. I have a NorthFace Parka Coat that is 15 years old and is still in great shape! I still wear it! I am hoping this coat lasts 15 years as well. The only quality difference I have found about my older coat and this new coat is the zipper.

First of all, I love Northface products because they always seem to be well made and this coat is no exception. My husband surprised me with this because I needed a new coat for this winter coming up and I was thrilled with the surprise! The red is a really nice color and I love that it has the fur trimmed hood for extra style. It’s fitted but not tight and it is very nice and warm. The hood is removable which is nice for when it needs to be washed since the fur should not be washed and dried. (I dried a jacket with a fur trimmed hood in the dryer once and the fur came out melted, matted and ruined.) Overall, I am very very happy with this jacket.

This jacket is beautiful. Im not one to purchase light colored outerwear however, this color is great. It is blue then as you move has reflections of a light purple. They even thought of the zipper color as well- It is a blue/ light purple. This is not a light weight jacket. So if you need for light rain, it will be extra warm. Snowy and cold weather is perfect. It also has the fur around the hood- which looks and feels real. Zippered pockets. I wish this jacket had banded wrist area. Form fitting. I purchased a large, im hoping it will stretch out a bit? If you want your jacket with room, i would go with XL. Otherwise- great coat.

Beautiful, girly, warm stylish. I'm 5'5 180lbs I brought a large. I tried it on with my thickest sweater then i tried it on over a tee shirt and hoodie and it fits well. I wore it today for the first time with a long sleeve blouse and cardigan and it's very comfortable. I was worried that the collar would touch my face and get makeup on it but it doesn't which is a huge plus for me! This coat isn't as thick as my other North Face coat that I've had for 2 years but it still gets the job done. I needed a warm coat with a hood that didn't make me look bulky. This coat does the trick. I'm pleased with my purchase.

Great jacket! However when I opened it out of the package and tried it on for the first time, I put my hands in the pockets and there was a USED GUM PACKAGE in the pocket. Not just a single wrapper, but an entire pack of half eaten gum, so I’m obviously not the first person to wear this which is pretty upsetting. However the jacket is great and I’m going to get great use out of it. I am in a huge time crunch otherwise I would ask for them to send me a “new” one (I thought this one was supposed to be new too haha). This jacket is way too expensive for that to happen. But great jacket!!! Size up.

Daughter loved this. Was a Christmas present. Runs extremely small so order at least 2 sizes up. My daughter usually wears a small in north face and we got the large. The large gives her some breathing room where it's not too tight but not too loose. For reference she's 4ft10", 130lbs. My other daughter who is 5ft1", 108lbs had helped us with sizing. Originally I ordered from somewhere else in the small and we put it on her since it was a xmas present for my other daughter and needed to see about the fit and the small was so tight. If you are paper thin the small might fit....

This is a really cute coat and very warm. It’s cinched at the waist but only in the back, which gives it a very flattering shape. The fur looks exactly like in the picture so will not be using it. It’s NOT like a super soft rabbit fur and has a very obvious faux look to it so if you really care about that part this isn’t the jacket for you. Otherwise, it’s exactly what I need for a MI winter. I’m 5’2” 120lbs and got a size small - will be able to fit a sweater underneath without feeling like Michelin man. Also the price is great.

This jacket is so comfortable, warm, and gorgeous. It's true to size. I'm a 2x and it its perfectly so I probably should have sized up 1 so it can be more loose. It's good for me because I'm losing weight so I'm looking forward to it being loose. I can wear it right now but it's snug. and can't sit very comfortably, but that's all on me. It's great quality. Nicest jacket I have owned. It's thick but not overwhelming. It's absolutely gorgeous and I would love to own more colors in the future. This will definitely last a lifetime.

I wish I had bought a North Face years ago, it’s so nice. The jacket is so warm but not to puffy and heavy.. It is lightweight as in how many lbs it weighs. I don’t feel like I’m stuffed into a giant heavy coat. I didn’t find a lot of reviews about size fitting, so I’m 5’1” and weigh 100 lbs. the XS fits perfectly. However if I wanted to wear several heavy layers underneath I may want a Small... however it’s not so fitted that i couldn’t, just maybe a little snug. Plus, It’s warm enough that I don’t need to.

Such an incredible jacket... the best quality jacket I’ve ever worn in my life. However it is meant for a taller and thinner body type. As much as I loved this jacket I had to return it because I’m 5”3 with a big chest area and curvy body type. The medium fit me perfect but the puffiness of the jacket was really unflattering. It hurt me to let go of such a warm and great quality jacket. I highly recommend this jacket for everyone, just didn’t work for me.
