Brilliant everyday jacket suitable for any occasion. I love the Cera jacket and own a number of them. I have spent a fortune on softshell jackets over the years and own a few from a lot bigger (and supposedly better) names than Regatta that cost 10 times what this one cost. Yet it is the Cera jacket that is my "go to" everyday jacket, whether i'm wearing it for work, to go shopping in town, to the gym or to the pub. Or even out climbing mountains and walking in the lake district. It is lightweight but offers a good degree of warmth and it is very water resistant. I have been caught in quite a few downpours while wearing it and it holds up really well.

I have to say 2 years on and with very regular use this soft shell jacket is still going strong from my original review. It seems impervious to just about everthing! every spill that has been thrown at it, paint hardly sticks to it, it doesnt appear to stain or even fade, I have laboured in the garden for hours in bushes and brambles, hiked, climbed over things, into things, decorated, moved countless things, knocked and scraped and it still looks basically the same, even after lord knows how many goes through the washer and dryer. Infact I really cant live without it, it isnt too warm or cold to wear, its as hardwearing as nothing I've had before and it still looks good,

Bought this specifically for walking/hiking, for which purpose it's ideally suited; lightweight, reasonably windproof and certainly warm for its weight/thickness. With thin base layer underneath I found this the ideal combo for active long distance walks. Packs away fairly small (wasn't quite bulky enough to make a satisfactory pillow!) Outstanding value and quality easily comparable to more expensive brands. Sizing is quite generous, I'm 40" chest and found the Large a tad baggier than I'd have liked for active walking, this is nit picking though, and would allow for an extra layer underneath. If you prefer a closer fit for more active pursuits (bouldering, scrambling etc)

It is a great jacket for the price. Warm, looks good and all the pockets zip up, also includes inside pockets which im very happy about.The only flaw I would give it is that there is an occasional jam on the zip which is very minor and can probably be eliminated on a closer look.SIZING (Important): I find that the item is a very good fit, however beware if you have rather large fore-arms. I probably have slightly above average sized fore-arms and I find that when I roll up my sleeves they can just about feel tight around the top of my inner fore-arm so I would suggest picking a size-up if you train for size or strength.

This Regatta soft shell jacket is well worth the money, people often knock the quality of Regatta say it’s cheap and not well done but this is not always the case, in fact this is my second jacket from them after the zip broke on my first the other day but only after years and years of wear my other half wanted To throw it out ages ago When it was quite serviceable but I wouldn’t let her and I’ve been wearing it for work ever since until the other day when is it broke, So I simply bought another one to replace it and its excellent.

Bought a version of this from Regatta years ago and wore it lots, however a recent accidental incident with the tumbledryer meant it didn’t quite fit me in the correct way. Maybe if I looked like the Rock I would have gotten away with it, but as I look more like Shrek sadly it looked a little odd!Anyway, I spent ages searching for a suitable replacement and found this one! Actually slightly better than the original one, the logo is stitched instead of glued, the zips have stronger toggles and its a nicer overall fit.

I'm not usually a fan of Regatta clothing due to bad experiences in the past, but thought i'd try this one as I needed a fairly smart jacket for going on business trips. I must say this jacket exceeded my expectations. The fit is great, the material is very smart, it's soft and comfy on the inside, and looks good over a smart business shirt. Other's have commended about the long sleeves, and yes they do seem longer than they should be, but I think this is to allow better articulation at the elbows.

Purchased second hand for £12.50. Bought as a running / sports jacket for the colder months. It does the job perfectly. I have other Regatta jackets and so I knew going in that the design is basic and functional. The softshell material does a good job of cutting down on the effects of a cold wind while still breathing a bit... If you're sitting / standing / gently walking around in the winter then this is suitable as an under-jacket; if you're running then this plus a t-shirt is enough.

Normally I wear XL clothes but other reviews said that that the sizes are on the small size so I went a size bigger.But I must`ve lost more weight than I thought as this is just a bit too big.The sleeves are too long and loose at the cuffs,so they could do with some elastic on them . Other than that it`s got a great high collat that keeps out the wind and the jacket kept me warm on a recent chilly walk. Plus you don`t get the bulk of fleece and it`s light to wear.

The fleece lining inside the jacket makes it very comfortable. And it is "breathable" too. Very suitable for 10-20 degrees weather. I am 168cm tall, chest size of 100cm, and waist of about 82cm. M size felt a bit tight (and short), but looks better for those who cares about looking good. L size was more comfortable, but it looks slightly baggier. In the end, I chose comfort over looks. Only minus point is that the sleeves are too long, so had to get it altered.

I have always been a big fan of soft shell. It fit prefectly and is prefect for my job where I can be working in alsorts of weather, it has definitely kept me warm this winter. I have use the jacket regularly for the past few months and it still as good as new, which show its durability and for such a good price. I have recommended to all my friends and work colleagues, and I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a lightweight coat.

I already had an XXL older version of this jacket, but having lost some weight, wanted a smaller XL size. The arms are slightly long but I was expecting this was no problem. The jacket is of good quality and works as smart casual wear. It's also comes with a water resistance coating which works well at present but, if my older jacket is anything to go by, won't last forever. Overall, this jacket is great value for money.

It arrived today maybe 1 day late but as it came from Italy I didn't care it's a genuine regatta jacket really lightweight beautiful material fits me perfect a little long in the sleeves maybe 2" but really nothing to be concerned about I paid £15 which is a bargain not sure about its waterproof qualities as not tested yet but I didn't buy for the waterproof qualities, it's a great looking top quality jacket very happy

This is now my third Regatta soft shell and I love all of them. Wear them daily to work. Got my first one of these 6 years ago, still have it and wear it. After wearing it for 1-2 years almost daily you get some shiny patches on the elbow (computer user) but that’s to be expected. As i said I’m now on my third, for the cost you can’t go wrong! And 6 years on after almost daily use they are still good to go.

I wear one of these under my work coat as we work in the cold and its well suited to this, adds a layer of warmth without being over the top and stuffy, works just as well as a light jacket to keep out the cold, bought to replace an old one because the zip broke after a few years service, zipped pockets are very useful, and the lining is very comfy and warming to the touch as well, would recommend.
