I was pleasantly surprised with this jacket and how well it performs, given the budget price tag. I have worn it in several heavy showers and have remained perfectly dry. The breathability out performs some higher end jackets I have, and not once has this coat got damp on the inside, even after prolonged use and after running. The fabric is incredibly thin and lightweight but also very hardwearing. I agree with other users about the pockets letting it down. I find the rear entry pocket design tends to gape open when walking. A popper or velcro strip would have been good idea. I felt mean dropping a star for this as I am so impressed with the material.I purchased the Magma Orange colour as I fancied a change from the usual black. It is just as shown in the image and also bright enough to improve visibility when walking/running at night. I am a pretty standard medium size and this fits perfectly.I am so impressed with the jacket that I might be taking this on my next hike, around the SW Coast Path, as it is lightweight and performs excellently.Little tip: Following use, zip it up and pop it in the dryer on low for about 5 minutes, and it comes out like new.Very happy.

A few people have mentioned that the pockets let in rain. They are absolutely right. I believe this jacket is flawed as the pockets seem to have been added back to front. This doesn't bother me too much as I bought the jacket for the twenty minute walk to the gym if it rains and I can pack it down into the small pouch it comes with and stick it inside my kit bag. It's important because with the gym locker room being out of bounds due to covid I need to have my bag with me in the gym and don't want to carry too much. The jacket's thinness allows for it to be packed down to a small package. I've been caught in torrential rain a few times and the jacket is fairly waterproof.I seemed to think it felt a bit damp inside but don't know if this was sweat from my sweatshirt or condensation. The hood fits snug and you can adjust it round your face to stop the wind blowing it off. I bought XL size as L might have been too close fitting over my sweatshirt. The jacket is not perfect due to the points made, but it's still a bargain at £15 as you'd be hard pushed to find perfection at that price. I would buy it again.

This is exactly what I needed for my daily training outdoors every morning. Recent weather in the rain, snow, ice and wind was becoming problematic with soaking me to my pants!!So I wanted a relatively cheap waterproof to go over my many layers (under-armour, 2 t-shirts, hoodie, gilet) and one that doesn’t restrict movement. And this is it. Obviously you can feel it’s presence and hear it when you move, it’s a plastic bag essentially, but I’m still able to do all the exercises I need to and it 100% keeps me dry. Job well done. For reference I got a Medium and I’m a fella 5ft 9, 70kg, and it goes well over the many layers I wear. Good fit. Some don’t like the wide cuffs but I do because it means I can quickly take it off without removing my gloves, with a decent pull. Half way through training when it gets too hot this is good to be able to do.Hope that helps.

This performed excellently on a walk up Snowdon. Packs up small and lightweight when stowed, but kept me dry in light rain and sleet. It also did well keeping keeping me warm; I could definitely feel the wind proofing when I put it over the fleece jacket I was wearing. I didn't get too hot wearing it, though I'm not sure if that is down to the jackets 'breath-ability' or the chilly windy conditions of the day.I think it did a good job of keeping me dry in a downpour on another day, but I'm not 100% as the rest of me was soaked and probably put some damp on the inside when I took it off. I certainly wasn't soaked through where I had the jacket on.The only thing I would say lets it down is that the pockets could be a bit better. There's no zip etc and it is easy for rain to get into them.

I bought this product because of the COVID19 crisis. I normally wear AQ2 or Goretex. But those expensive jackets aren't as easy to wash than the one I just bought because Goretex and AQ2 requires a special cleaning agent for washing machines to maintain the waterproof aspect of the material.I bought this jacket because it was reasonable priced at £13.99. It was waterproof to an extent and I could shove in the washing machine after each outing. At the time, I didn't know the surving rate of the virus COVID 19 on clothes or waterproof. So, I needed something that was easy to wash. Delivery time - excellent under the height of COVID19 period. Well done seller - you deserve this 5 star.

This jacket is ideally suited for my requirements, that is a jacket that will keep my dry when the weather takes a turn, on the mountain bike trails, but also not too heavy that it becomes too warm and sweaty. This pack it version is ideal, in that in our climate it can be cold, wet and windy one minute and warm and sunny the next. In which case your gonna want to shed a layer and this jacket folds up neat and tidy so can easily fit in a pocket until needed again without becoming cumbersome. Without having to be the most feature rich or expensive jacket this is the perfect solution as an over jacket for the great outdoors so you can carry on enjoying whatever it is you love best.

Having enough of getting soaked this winter, going through a ton of broken umbrellas I decided to make a change. So i researched some ponchos, and portable jackets which could go into my leather coat pocket, i wanted something portable that i could put over my main coat, only when the heavy rain started.Ill be honest, I gave up trying to find something portable enough, most jackets came with bags that were a good 10" x 5" x 3" which isnt really portable.I bought this item, and when unboxing, realised that it came inside a portable bag, and this package totals about 7" x 4" x 2" so can fit into my jacket pocket.Fantastic stuff. Thanks Regatta.

I purchased this jacket for a February trip to New York knowing that it could get windy and rainy during that time. I have to say this jacket stood up against the elements extremely well, I never once felt cold or battered by the wind or rain whilst wearing it (really held up nicely on the Liberty Island ferry and downtown open bus tour). Folds up very nicely into a bag which, if you're worried about crinkle lines once out of the bag fear not, the jacket seemingly fills out the lines after about 5 minutes of wear. I appreciated the snug fit and opted for a size large (I'm a 6ft 1" male) which fit perfectly.I now wear this jacket most days!

Can't fault this one bit for the price. Has been put through it's paces now and it's more than exceeded expectations. The pockets will let enough water in to get what's in them wet though so bear that in mind. Other than that it's super compact, lightweight and has kept me personally absolutely bone dry in some awful rainstorms. It's not really a breathable jacket but it's been fine for hiking and walking in, probably would get too hot for running while wearing though. Goes with my absolutely everywhere now in my bag and has saved me from being soaked several times.

Went on a 5 hour hike with this coat & was generally impressed. Fit well, I'm a slim 5'11/6" & decided to go for size M which was perfect for me. Got caught in some really tough conditions - flash raining & high speed winds, and this coat kept me dry & warm! The carry bag was an extra little bonus that I liked, easy to travel with. Only reason I won't give this 5* is the pockets aren't zipped so can't really keep any belongings safe. Also one of the pocket seems had teared slightly.Overall pleased with the coat & will use it on my next hike.

I have several waterproof jackets for different purposes when hiking, bikepacking or just out and about. This jacket for £15 is unbeatable for its purpose, I tend to stick it in my backpack or bike bag if I’m not expecting raining but it’s a possibility, keeps you dry and packs away easily in its little stuff sack. It would not outperform my gore tex for breathability for more active use, but at a 10th of the cost of gore Rex when the rain starts and I stick this on I’m happy with the fit, quality and product overall

Comes in its own pouch and it folds up small enough to re-fit easily. V light weight and rain proof. While billed as breathable I did experience some perspiration during heavy walking. However for the price this is a great 'don't get caught out' protector. Well made, good zip and seams. Only minor thing, as I think also reported here, was it tended to be over-size, ie fine with a thick pullover underneath but too big with just a shirt. But probably better that way. Am buying another to have in the car.

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Lightweight, keeps the rain out and packs away. This is a perfect Spring to Autumn jacket. It is one a layer - no lining- jacket for carrying with you for unexpected rain. It isn’t designed for warmth but adds no weight if you chuck it on over a fleece or jumper. If you are planning to climb Everest or rain forest rambling in monsoon season then it’s not the kit for you but for hiking, cycling or just going shopping it does the trick.

For winter cycling I have padded hi viz coat, and for the other seasons I have this. Bright yellow for good visibility, good for light to moderate rain - hood keeps head dry without stopping your helmet from fitting. Zip seems good quality. Compact and light for keeping in bottom of backpack on dry days. This was a replacement for my previous coat which lasted well over a decade, I wasn't expecting to find one as good as that but I may have done with this one.

... We had the rain jacket with us for hiking and had to use it several times. The jacket is tight and protects against external moisture, but you shouldn't expect this jacket to be breathable. But this should not be the claim, because it is only pulled over for the moment of rain. Not suitable for 12h rain hikes because you get wet from your own sweat. A great jacket due to the small pack size and the external tightness.
