I was looking for a warm all-around jacket that stays warm even at lower temperatures. Not least, I decided to use this jacket because it has the following features: 1. the brand name is relatively sparing and discreet, and 2. is equipped with an additional fleece jacket, which can be zipped with the (upper) jacket. The jacket I have been wearing for three weeks at temperatures between 10 and -1 ° C. It keeps very warm; In particular the wind does not whistle through, which I noticed very positively. Fit: With a body size of 176 cm, a body weight of more than 80 kg and a man's clothing size between 42 - 44, the jacket fits in size XL excellently (prima cut with arm-freeness),even a thick sweater can still be put under it. The jacket is slightly waisted, I also like that and makes "a good figure". The high-closing collar protects against wind, is very comfortable and does not scratch. The hood can be adjusted by three rubber straps. Jackenklima: Even if it gets warm in the jacket, I have never sweated in it! So: The material seems to provide for a good balance or a good air circulation. Equipment Bags: With pockets, the jacket is somewhat too economical for my requirements: there are only two outer pockets with zipper, which are relatively spacious and inside - but only in the fleece inner jacket - two slots that can hold a mobile phone and wallet , I miss, for example, Eg a further zipped pocket on the sleeve top and / or a zipper pocket at chest height outside, next to the main zipper. The fleece material of the inner jacket sometimes hinders the fitting of the jacket a little, as the lower hem of the fleece jacket can not be connected to the lower hem of the outer jacket and slides upwards. Sometimes the fleece jacket has to "couple" or pull down. For processing and other: The jacket is very well and solidly processed. The zippers are very good and easy to use. The fleece inner jacket can be worn prima solo and has two spacious zipper outer pockets (and inner pockets, see above). Conclusion: Very good, high quality and nice looking jacket, which I very much like to wear.

Word of warning that the gardenia white is not a bright white, it's a yellowish white. I exchanged my order for a black one as the colour just made the jacket look old/yellowed/worn, it just didn't have that crisp and fresh appearance that bright white has.That being said, I'm really happy with the fit. The size chart is accurate on this one, and the fit is a thousand times better than the old evolution ii (which I also tried and returned due to no elbow room and abdominal bagginess).I also own a cirrus jacket, and I must say that you can tell the difference in quality between those two coats. That jacket, as just a shell without a fleece, is the same RRP as this one, but then you have to buy the fleece.So I understand this one may have some cost cuts involved.This 'bonus' fleece isn't as nice as the glacier 100 fleece that I ordered as a zip in for my other coat. This one has a strange polyester-like lining along the entire inside of the sleeves, which I'm really not so fond of because if feels weird against my skin. It also has an elasticated waist and wrists, which just don't look as nice or flattering as the normal fleeces when worn separate. It's a bit thinner too.Another bit missing is the pit zips which come standard on most of their shells, and also a spare waterproof zip pocket or two. This jacket just has the normal two hand pockets.The shell felt lighter, even though it's still hyvent, and somehow the construction just wasn't as nice, but maybe that's just the lack of detailing. My cirrus with glacier 100 I can wear happily in the snow, but I think this one is more of a plain old rain coat with a lightweight fleece.Anyways I'm happy with it either way as the quality is still better than most brands, and I don't always need a super fancy coat to pop down to the local shops. It's perfectly suited for that purpose, and so as long as that's all you need, it's a brilliant and figure flattering coat. Still totally waterproof and more lightweight.If you're after quality and special features though, I'd recommend checking out some of their other jackets that have the zip in option and then buying a compatible fleece separately.

I ordered the jacket because I needed a new trekking jacket, which can be flexibly adjusted depending on the weather and will last a little longer when wet. I am very happy with the Evolve II in autumn weather. The outer layer keeps wind and rain well and is not too heavy for sporting activities and still functional. After reading some recessions, it was said that this jacket can be used even at low temperatures. Unfortunately, this is not possible. The supplied fleece jacket is relatively thin, but rather designed for trekking tours in spring or autumn. However, this can be replaced by other (warmer) jackets from North Face that can also be zipped in. For winter temperatures (5 ° to -10 °)I recommend a different inner jacket or a winter jacket. Otherwise this is a very well made trekking jacket!

Slightly smaller cut than expected. It's a very basic North Face triclimate jacket where there is no front pocket, no pit zips, and no zip to zip the hoodie behind. The shell is made from Hyvent and the inner layers is just fish-net mesh. The fleece's cuff are elastic and holds well to your wrists. So if you want a more "relaxed" fit from your cuff, this might not be the right product. There is only 1 zipper (as opposed to two where you can unzip from bottom up). It might not matter to most people, I reckon, but I prefer to have 2 zips so I can unzip partially from the end of the jacket when I sit in the bus commuting to work. That way, the jacket won't feel too bulky around my waist.Otherwise,it does what it needs to do, which is to provide warmth and shield you from rain and wind.

Excellent coat, I love it. Is exactly as discribed. Only thing I have to say is that I am usually a S/M or size 8 to 10 (In UK Size) but got this in a XS and I would still like it just a tad smaller but still looks fab, I wear it all the time. I did the size test on the northface website to dicide what size to get and they said a small but I gambled and got XS and am very glad I did as a small would have been to big. This coat looks awsome and is so snug I love it.

This is my second purchase of the same jacket. Bought the original one over 5 years ago and have worn it pretty much everyday for dog walking. It works in all conditions due to the removable fleece and is also very convenient for travel.it also looks quite smart. I was also very impressed with trekkin who I’d never used before. Cheapest price I’ve found and easy ordering and fast turn around. Very pleased all round. Would recommend both jacket and Trekkin.

I bought this jacket in medium and found the size fine - It would fit anyone who is a size 12 or 14. I'm a size 14, but bought both the large and medium so I could get the right fit. I ultimately kept the medium and returned the size large. At this stage I've washed the jacket several times without any problems. The jacket has a slight tailored look without been too restrictive around the waist or arms. It's a nicer looking jacket than in the picture.

What can I say? She loves it! The size 12 fits her perfectly - although apparently it could do with being just a little bit longer to cover her bum!! There are some things a bloke will simply never consider when buying for a girl. The colour is very subtle and under indoor light she actually thought it was grey. Usual high standard North Face jacket that she wears to defeat the cold North Sea wind while walking the dog on the beach. Perfect!

My North Face Evolve II Triclimate jacket arrived in time, I was surprise by the very fast delivery to Greece! The size was perfect for me and the jacket itself is amazing! It is warm and cozy and it keeps me dry when it rains. And of course it is light, unlike other jackets of the kind that look heavy and bulky this one is elegant and stylish! All in all an excellent purchase and that too in much better price than my country!

I love this jacket. It's everything I wanted. It's quite warm (I'm in London, not the Arctic circle, but it's been vile recently), protects from rain and wind and looks lovely. I have the cherry one. So far I've only ever used the whole thing, never the individual bits. It's totally worth the money.I do recommend to go to a shop and try it on before ordering, as the sizing recommended would have been too small for me.

Jacket as expected, very good quality and comfortable. I was wrong the first time asking for an S, I saw in the comments that it gives a lot of size but I wear an M and the M is my size in this jacket, I like it to be a little baggy, since with an S if I put on a sweatshirt I was very fair. As for the shipment, the first time to be Christmas took two weeks, but the second time, four days. Overall, delighted!

During the winter and spring months I have relied heavily on this jacket to keep me warm and dry, using with and without the detachable fleece jacket inside. I love long country walks and this jacket is ideal. It looks smart and is lightweight. It fits very well and has clever pockets and attachments to fit the fleece inside the outer waterproof jacket. The length is just right for me to clamber around in.

An outstanding purchase! Not only perfect for hiking, but for day-to-day use. Can be used in fall, winter, and spring... True to size, inner and outer pockets with zippers, fully machine washable, under-arm zippered openings for ventilation, waterproof, quality finishes, and I love the color... and I've received quite a few compliments on it. I'm a completely satisfied customer.

Was bought as gift and was initially too small, but was pleased with smooth switch to new larger size. Slight disappointment with second item as the bottom press stud has already come apart from the material as it appears to have been glued on?! unsure if this is reflected in what appeared to be a great buy?, wondering if item can be replaced due to holiday delays?
