Word of warning that the gardenia white is not a bright white, it's a yellowish white. I exchanged my order for a black one as the colour just made the jacket look old/yellowed/worn, it just didn't have that crisp and fresh appearance that bright white has. That being said, I'm really happy with the fit. The size chart is accurate on this one, and the fit is a thousand times better than the old evolution ii (which I also tried and returned due to no elbow room and abdominal bagginess).I also own a cirrus jacket, and I must say that you can tell the difference in quality between those two coats. That jacket, as just a shell without a fleece, is the same RRP as this one, but then you have to buy the fleece. So I understand this one may have some cost cuts involved. This 'bonus' fleece isn't as nice as the glacier 100 fleece that I ordered as a zip in for my other coat. This one has a strange polyester-like lining along the entire inside of the sleeves, which I'm really not so fond of because if feels weird against my skin. It also has an elasticated waist and wrists, which just don't look as nice or flattering as the normal fleeces when worn separate. It's a bit thinner too.Another bit missing is the pit zips which come standard on most of their shells, and also a spare waterproof zip pocket or two. This jacket just has the normal two hand pockets. The shell felt lighter, even though it's still hyvent, and somehow the construction just wasn't as nice, but maybe that's just the lack of detailing. My cirrus with glacier 100 I can wear happily in the snow, but I think this one is more of a plain old rain coat with a lightweight fleece.Anyways I'm happy with it either way as the quality is still better than most brands, and I don't always need a super fancy coat to pop down to the local shops. It's perfectly suited for that purpose, and so as long as that's all you need, it's a brilliant and figure flattering coat. Still totally waterproof and more lightweight. If you're after quality and special features though, I'd recommend checking out some of their other jackets that have the zip in option and then buying a compatible fleece separately.

Slightly smaller cut than expected. It's a very basic North Face triclimate jacket where there is no front pocket, no pit zips, and no zip to zip the hoodie behind. The shell is made from Hyvent and the inner layers is just fish-net mesh. The fleece's cuff are elastic and holds well to your wrists. So if you want a more "relaxed" fit from your cuff, this might not be the right product. There is only 1 zipper (as opposed to two where you can unzip from bottom up). It might not matter to most people, I reckon, but I prefer to have 2 zips so I can unzip partially from the end of the jacket when I sit in the bus commuting to work. That way, the jacket won't feel too bulky around my waist.Otherwise,it does what it needs to do, which is to provide warmth and shield you from rain and wind.

Lovelly jacket just what I wanted an the colour is much better it's more emerald green than it looks in the pictures..... Inner fleece is grey an not navy like in the pictures but it goes better anyway an I'm really pleased I'm usually a 12-14 an so went for a large and it's a great fit an I still have room for a thick jumper under it if needed......the price is unbeatable I searched everywhere an this was by far the cheapest at least £70 more everywhere I looked anyway! Bargin.

I bought this jacket in medium and found the size fine - It would fit anyone who is a size 12 or 14. I'm a size 14, but bought both the large and medium so I could get the right fit. I ultimately kept the medium and returned the size large. At this stage I've washed the jacket several times without any problems. The jacket has a slight tailored look without been too restrictive around the waist or arms. It's a nicer looking jacket than in the picture.

After a rain-sodden half term last year, this year I wanted to be prepared so after lots of research bought this North Face jacket to keep me dry and warm. I must admit I like the outdoors but I'm neither a hiker nor a mountaineer! The jacket looks great though and certainly kept the wind out and I stayed toastie. Luckily for me (but not for the review) I didn't experience any rain in it yet so I can't comment on the waterproofness.

Another TNF replacement (Hyvent) after 12+ years of great wear (the outer remains great but the 'lining' has disintegrated) This one doesn't have pit zips or the hidden pocket between the zip and the inner- but is a good fit and with the inner fleece gives lots of flexibility for use. The hood has been improved since my last one -but doesn't seem to pack away as well as before -maybe just need to refold it to get a smoother result.

Product arrived exactly as described and in time. Quality garment, in perfect condition. I'm a little disappointed North Face no longer design jacket with a front pocket and the fleece seems thinner, so not sure if it will be as windproof as my last one. But my shopping experience though - the item and price and efficient delivery, I'd recommend and would use again. Thanks!

This is the best coat I have ever owned! It's so comfortable and with the detachable fleece it's brilliant for most weather conditions! Fantastic price too! I've seen the same coat on the high street for £200. Absolute bargain!

I couldn't believe the quality of this product for not much more money than the cost of the fleece that comes with it. I went back to order one for my Daughter but the price had almost doubled so mine must have been on offer.

Totally satisfied from the product. I definitely recommend it.My size is medium. I ordered L size cause I was afraid the medium size in case of too cold when I want to wear extra layers. Otherwise I think medium is fine

It is a very light yet warm jacket and it does what it claims .it's really waterproof .l was a bit concern that if it 's fine for the harsh North winter .l think will do with a one extra warm layer underneath.

It is not jacket daughter capped in terms of insulation, as it lacks primaloft, feathers or other insulator. But it fulfills its function in a day of skiing in which the temperatures are not very low.

Just what I was looking for a rain jacket that is functional and also smart looking with the added extra to have the fleece with you can add for extra warmth. Really good waterproof jacket!!

Beautiful quality from north face, as always. Looks great, fits great, very convenient having both fleece and jacket able to attach/detach themselves (makes it very versatile). I love it.

This is my 2nd North face jacket and just love them, the 3 in 1 jacket is perfect wearing them on there own or all together, keeps me nice and dry and cosy in the wet cold months.
