This Deluge Pro (was there an amateur version?) jacket from Berghaus is a really good meeting of practicality and style. The quality is excellent, as you'd expect from the brand, and the jacket's really well finished - for example all the internal seams have been sealed over to make them waterproof. It's very lightweight and rolls up into a bundle small enough for your backpack and although being unpadded means it isn't going to keep you very warm it'll keep out the wind. The inner lining appears to be bonded to the outer fabric in most places and it's a cute pink colour, a nice feminine contrast to the sober navy blue outside. It does make a bit of a rustling noise as you move around, mainly because of that lining but although it feels a bit plastic-y it breathes and avoids getting clammy inside, unlike a lot of lesser waterproof jackets. The fit is slightly tailored so it's got a feminine silhouette yet still covers you up and keeps out the weather. You can tighten up the cuffs to keep the draughts out and adjust the hood with mini bungee cords. Zipped up fully there's a high neck that covers your chin too, so your upper half should stay happily dry on wet days. The pockets aren't huge but they're enough to stow your smartphone and they zip shut to keep it dry and safe - there's no pocket on the inside. Overall it's a great quality and stylish way to keep inclement weather out. Amazon's prices are currently all over the place depending on which colour and size option you choose - hopefully you'll get the one you like at a good price but you're getting a quality waterproof jacket either way.

A lovely turquoise hooded jacket that recognises that being warm and being waterproof need not be mutually exclusive.Sizing:The sizing is true, it's a generous size 12, but not so generous as to be big on someone who is that size. It will fit a small 14, if you are nearer a 10 than a 14, you'll probably want to go a size down, rather than a size up.The colour is turquoise, which is definitely a Marmite shade, you either love it or hate it.Good points: There's a sturdy hanging loop, so you won't wreck this, hanging it from the hood. The zips are all concealed, including the which is great for a streamlined look, but you do have to be slightly careful not to catch the fabric as a result.A small con: I slightly jammed both the front zip and one pocket zip testing it out,by catching the fabric. They released with no problem, but it was still something I will have to watch.Draw cords help you to keep the jacket snug to the body, and the concealed pockets are beautifully deep, deep enough to hold your phone. Finally manufacturers seem to be noting that we need deep pockets to hold phones, and not something barely big enough to hold car keys and a debit card. The padding isn't heavy, but it's enough to keep you warm and snug, and the fabric will certainly keep you dry. This genuinely is waterproof, without the stiff shiny look of plastic waterproofing.Summary: Will keep you both dry and warm. Ideal for all but the very coldest winter days - and if you are smaller in build for a size 12, you can always fit some thick jumpers underneath it, for thiese.

Berghaus Women's Deluge Pro Insulated Waterproof Jacket is a good quality jacket which though not very heavy still holds the heat in. Perfect coat for the Autumn/Winter where you want to stay warm and dry without resorting to a heavy coat which can be uncomfortable. It is a coat I personally like as it keeps me warm without making me overhot or sweaty which I personally hate to feel. I like the lightness of the coat as well as the texture of the material. It is a great coat to wear in the car as it is comfortable to wear without feeling overly hot or uncomfortable or even tight around the arms. It is warm enough to wear on school runs and with the added advantage it is waterproof makes this coat a great buy.The waterproof comes from the fact it is made from a waterproof hydro shell which keeps you dry while holding in the heat. The material is double layers which helps to hold in the heat, therefore, a perfect coat for those cold days when you have to be outside but you do not want to suffer too much while doing so.Berghaus Women's Deluge Pro Insulated Waterproof Jacket is a great coat and one I am happy to recommend. I love the colours it is available in as the colours are bright and vibrant enough to brighten even a cold dark day in winter when the days are short and the nights are long.Happy to recommend.

This Berghaus jacket is waterproof (guaranteed 100% waterproof for all-day protection). It has an adjustable drawstring hood to protect the ears and hair in blustery showers. Plus the sleeve cuffs can be made to fit the wrist with adjustable velcro fasteners. The fabric of this jacket is ‘hydroshell’ which is not just deluge-proof but it is also breathable: keeping sweating to a minimum. The advantage of this jacket over others currently on the market is its portability. It is incredibly thin and lightweight which makes it useful for packing and travelling abroad in warm but wet climes. There are two zip side pockets which are capacious enough to store my iPhone X and still have room for other necessaries. The bright pink, inner ‘lining’ and accessory toggles of this product contrast beautifully with the navy blue outer and lends it a much appreciated feminine touch (as in the photo). There is no stretch with this jacket: I am usually a small (size 10) but this size 12, medium actually fitted and flattered well. Plus in taking a slightly roomier size, there is the added advantage of being able to layer up and wear a jumper or warmer fleece under it.

Firstly, I love the colour of this jacket - it is absolutely gorgeous and it attracts lots of compliments from friends. It is a brilliant jacket, being both a waterproof coat, but also warm and snuggly on the inside - so that it is lighter weight than many other jackets, but it is really warm - even on a cold day.It has a really useful deep pockets, which have a fabric cover, so that the zips are protected even in pouring rain and there are tags attached to the zips, for easier opening (either in the wet or if you are wearing gloves - this is a really useful feature) and the pockets are useful for tissues, a small purse or mobile - which you can then retrieve easily when needed and when they are not needed, they are kept lovely and dry!The shape of the coat is a nice fitted shape and I particularly love that the coat does up high at the front - so that when it is very bitterly cold, less of your face is exposed, but also in windy weather, the hood doesn't blow back and off as the hood surrounds your head when fastened. The stitching is excellent all over the coat and it is comfortable to wear. Such a lovely jacket!

A hooded, waterproof jacket that is actually warm! They've thought of everything at last! The pockets are beautifully deep and solidly made i.e. not made of mesh, so you can be sure that whatever you put in them is not going to slip out inadvertently and that the pockets should last a while. The little flap that covers the pocket zip is good for keeping the rain off, but can be caught in the zip from time to time. The zips themselves all have a tiny, matching chord attached to them to allow easier handling. The base has two points where you can draw the elasticated chord to tighten the jacket. The hood is similarly made, but with an added elasticated chord at the back to shape it better to your own head, which I find really clever.I also like the top of the main zip where fabric has been turned over to stop the zip from coming loose, but also reduce chin chafing. Lastly, I absolutely love the colour! The price, I find, is rather high (hence only 4 stars), but Berghaus is a good brand, so I suppose that is what one is paying for.

I spent months looking for a what I deemed as the perfect jacket and this is close as I could get to what I needed. I am so happy I purchased it.Compared with similar jackets on the market, this one is very reasonably priced and I love the two tone colours. Personally, I think it makes it look more expensive.I've owned this jacket now for 6 months and I find it so practical as it is lightweight and definitely waterproof. I have taken it away for a break in a Motorhome and as it so lightweight, it is perfect as it takes up no space at all. If I lost it, I would certainly buy another one.The only thing I would say, is that I purchased my normal clothing size and it is a snug fit.If you wanted to wear a thick jumper underneath, then I would recommend buying the next size up.

I really like this coat, it is light but waterproof without having the weird rustling sound that you get with cheaper coats. It is also breathable so it does not make you sweaty inside. There are adjustable sleeves with velcro ties, and the hood is adjustable at the back. There is also an adjustable hem and two pockets that zip up. When it is done up the coat finishes very high up to cover the mouth, and the hood then surrounds the face tightly.Apart from the practical design features the coat also looks great. The contrasting bright pink lining makes it stand out, and it also has a tapered waist which is brilliant and much more slim-fitting than usual raincoats. The coat looks great when worn, which is not what can be said for most waterproof coats. I love it!

Having use Berghaus clothing for many years, I can say that there is no doubt about the robustnessand effectiveness of their products. This is again the case of this Women;s Deluge Pro Waterproof Jacket.Fist the most important I can verify that it is shower and rain proof. I have used it over the past sevendays and there has certainly been lost of opportunity to put that particular feature to the test! It passedthe test!It is lightweight, attractively styled with what I would describe as a fuchsia pink interior and minimalcolouring on the zips. I particularly like that you can adjust the fitting of the sleeves merely by movingthe velcro at end of the sleeve. There are no shortcomings to this jacket -waterproof,attractively designed and robust.

This jacket is waterproof and with its fleecy lining is warm to. The jacket has several deep pockets with zips which have a pull tag which makes them easy to open especially on a dog walk and you need poop bags, your phone or hanky. It is well made with attention to detail, tough robust zips and neat and tidy stitching. I love the turquoise colour which brightens up the dullest day, it does make me feel better to wear a nice jacket when out on my dog walk each day. The jacket is hip length on me, I am 5` 4" which makes it comfortable for driving to. The jacket keeps me toasty warm with making me sweat like a dripping tap.The jacket also has a hood so warm and dry all round, love it.It is true to size but is quite fitted.

I haven’t had the chance to try it out in poor weather yet (it’s a spring/summer coat, not designed for Scottish winters) but having had a Berghaus waterproof 3-in-1 for the past seven years I trust its quality, and it’s easy to see how well put-together it is. It’s impressively lightweight but still feels tough and hard to tear. It’s probably not particularly warm – so an ideal jacket for summer showers – but does feel windproof. All the seams are taped and the finishing looks great. Most impressive is how smart it looked. All my previous packable waterproofs have looked boxy and purely functional – this one’s really nicely tailored.

This item arrived nicely packaged with a plastic bag and tag that were not recyclable. The jacket is very good quality, it is totally waterproof, has two external zip pockets, has a stringed hood to cover your head properly and has adjustable wrist straps. The fit is very good (size 12 - medium). This jacket is very lightweight, meaning you can carry this round with you for those days when you are never sure what the weather is going to do. All in all an exceptional jacket.

I purchased size 16 in this jacket with the intention of wearing my padded waistcoat on colder days underneath as I do with my Berghaus Gisslade, also size 16 but this jacket is more fitted and cut slim over the hips. No good for layers unless you go up a size. I kept the jacket as it is smart so will come in handy for those warmer wet days, and will look to replace my trusty Gisslade coat for winter in due course.

Excellent waterproof jacket, kept me bone dry during 6 days of walking a torrentialy wet West Highland Way. This is a waterproof "over jacket" meaning it is designed to keep you dry but not necessarily warm so in colder weather you may need to add a few extra layers underneath. Otherwise superb quality, and extremely impressed with this jacket.

Looks good and worked brilliantly in the recent storms. As a biker, the jacket was brilliant, an effective hood and the wind and rain were kept out effectively.Berghaus has always been a brand you can trust and nothing has changed here,Coat seals brilliantly, and there are lots of useful pockets. Highly recommended.
