Thin but warm Berghaus fleece. The fleece is a microfleece and comes up quite large. It has a cleverly stitched "skirt" around the back near the bottom of the fleece which gives the material some movement. The hems around the bottom and the arms are finished with an elasticated binding that is very stretchy which also gives the fleece movement - so size wise it is very forgiving. This stretch also makes it very comfortable to wear as it fits snugly around the arms and hips but also has stretch and so is not restrictive like other fleeces I have owned. Under the zipper there is a well finished inner layer of fleece to keep out the wind and a collar which can be turned up to protect the neck or keep it warmer. The colour is nicer than in the photo it is more of a teal blue with a marled effect than the royal blue it looks to me in the photo. As it is a microfleece it folds down quite small and is light - so easy to pop in my backpack or attach to the front if the weather turns in the spring and autumn - also useful at night time when it is cooler in the summer. It also seems to keep the rain out - well at least squally, thundery showers that I have been caught in lately. It washes and dries in a few hours. I have had a polar Berghaus fleece for about 8 years now that still looks good as new despite the wear and tear it gets and being kept in a box in my boot for walks - I hope this one lasts as well. The microfleece material is soft and not as synthetic and scratchy as some cheap fleeces I have had in the past, The size is roomy - it fits my 6ft2 frame with room to spare (over a thick t shirt). I usually wear large or Extra Large in T shirts, jumpers and jackets and a 17-17.5 inch collar in shirts from retailers such as M&S. It is baggy on my 6ft son who is fairly skinny. A really useful piece of kit for our family of keen walkers

This is a great lightweight fleece from a trusted brand. The material is only a few mm thick, yet retains warmth as well as deflecting wind relatively well. The front zips up to produce a raised collar covering chin and neck to the nape, which provides protection in mild conditions, but not ideal for colder or wet climate, without extra protection - this does fit to . The pockets have zips. For me the cuffs were not tight, but comfortable and unobtrusive. The bottom is elasticated to ensure a snug fit. An extra lining protects from the wind or cold from entering via the zip if pulled up (a bi-product of the modular design). I haven't washed it enough to verify the anti-bobbling,however this is an issue with my other fleeces, so is a great feature. On colder days this is a great way to stay warm and I've also found it cosy on it's own when an evening draws in, since it's not rough or itchy on the skin (not it's design, but a win).Medium blue is a colour (in my opinion) that's suited to sports or popular with outdoors activity and doesn't really complement fashion-ware at all. If you wish to utilise a lightweight fleece socially, choose another colour.

I've had a few Berghaus items of clothing and shoes/boots in the past, and could always rely on them to perform well, and this Spectrum Micro 2 Fleece is no exception. This is a thin, and very light full zip fleece, with 2 good sized pockets. The material is anti-pill, and the care instructions show that it is pretty easy to look after. If you have the right Berghaus jacket, the interactive zips mean that it will zip right in.This is a great Spring, Autumn jacket ... and combined with an outer layer, perfect for Winter. As I found out on yesterday's yomp, it may be thin and light, but boy, is it warm. Cooler evenings or mornings would be fine.It looks good on, and if you do get too warm,it will either pack away without taking up too much space, or you can tie it around your waist without too much bulk.If I had 1 very minor quibble, it is the arms seem a fraction too long ... the flip side of that is that it would be great for the Winter.

Berghaus Men's Spectrum Micro 2.0 Full Zip Fleece JacketThe fleece. This is a bright blue fleece from Berghaus with a fully zipped front and elasticated cuffs.Construction.This is a lightweight fleece but the fleece material is very tightly woven. This makes it very warm and wind resistant. The quality as you would expect from Berghaus is very good and the zip works well and appears very strong. There are two front zipped pockets which can be used to put your hands in to keep them warm or carry items.Wearing.I am over 6ft tall but the fit is generous and feels warm and comfortable when on. It will also integrate with their jackets as the main zip is compatible so it can be used as a jacket lining if required.Overall.It is quite expensive but this is a quality product that will last.I am very happy with it.

For a lightweight fleece it is very warm and without the bulk I was expecting. The actual colour is nicer than the picture shows as well. I thought the colour would be a sort of royal blue, but it's more of a petrol blue and the material is very soft to the touch as well. It fitted perfectly. The two pockets are zipped and nice and deep. I really am rather in love with the softness of it. Perfect if you need something warm and light.

A decent enough quality fleece with elasticated cuffs and hem and good warm fabric, but thinner than other Berghaus fleeces I own. It fits extremely well as it is well tailored, but the collar, which is nice and high to keep your neck warm, is not as well supported/stiff as my others. Happy for the money and still better than cheaper alternatives, but wouldn't be so if I had paid full retail price.

Having worn this fleece for about a year now, I can honestly say its a fantastic zip up. The pockets are nice and deep and you actually put a phone in them, unlike some pockets I've come across on other fleeces. Honestly speaking it doesn't bobble after having worn it in on regular basis for over a year. Its a perfect jacket for when the weather isn't to cold. I'd highly recommend this product

Great quality product, which fits perfectly and I'm medium build. Light and warm, not bulky. Already tested it on my recent hikes in Scotland, great middle layer in case you wearing hardshell on top, enough combination for almost freezing weather conditions when you move. Great to wear by itself. Got the blue one and love the way this colour looks.

Bought for my boyfriend as a replacement for another Berghaus fleece he had lost and used to wear all the time. I was a bit worried about ordering online without him being able to try it on, but it fits perfectly and he says it feels just as good quality as his old one and likes the finish on the seams. Great price, very pleased!

This will be prefect for spring, autumn and the cooler summer days and looks like it can pack quite small. I went for the grey at the bargain price of £19 so it was extremely good value. I have worn it in winter on days where it was unseasonably mild and found it very comfortable.

Comfortable, lightweight fleece. Ideal mid layer for skiing. Fits well under my ski jacket. Pockets are useful and the zip allows you to cool down easily. Very happy with this product. This is not a thick fleece, the clue is in the name - 'micro' fleece.

31.1.2018

Fairly thin material, more of a base layer than an actual fleece. You would need more than this under a waterproof layer to keep you warm in colder weather.Okay for milder/summer weather and for the price I paid but nowhere near worth the RRP

Nice. A bit insubstantial feeling and I don't know how hardwearing, but been an ideal jacket in recent couple of chilly but crisp sunny days. Rolls up nicely to stuff in a bag.
