If you are looking at this cable, you've probably got an iPhone or an iPad with one of the new, smaller, lightning connectors. This would be a great replacement for the one supplied with your gadget (it's about 6 inches longer than the one that came with my iPhone) or as a spare, although to be honest, it would be a shame to consign this to emergency use only as it actually looks pretty cool. It's a pale gold colour - probably with the gold iPhone in mind. Unlike the Apple versions, each end has aluminium connectors, rather than plastic ones, and the cable itself has a braided outer coating rather than a plastic one. I suspect this may be more hard wearing than plastic.I've used the cable to charge my iPhone from the official Apple power charger and it works fine. I've also used it to connect to my Mac, and once again, no problems. I've also tried it with the most recent version of the iPod Touch, and again it works well. This is a quality item, which looks cool, with the bonus of it being tangle free, and a bit longer than the Apple version as well. If you are looking for a new lighting to USB cable, you could do a lot worse than this one. It feels like it will last a long time, which, in my experience, the official Apple ones do not.

All my Belkin products have a proud pedigree of being quality items which are well finished, durable and designed to give long service. I am delighted with this latest acquisition. Colour coded to match the new iPhone 6 finish range, I have tested it on both my phone and iPad mini with no problems. Both charge fast with the lightning connector tried both ways and all connections fitted perfectly. If you travel about much and normally shove the Apple cable into a pocket or a bag, it will tangle. This cable does what it is supposed to do. Remain fankle free. This is clearly due to the braided finish. It should prove less frustrating than the Apple version which, although good, does manage to get itself into some queer knots! The Belkin version also does seem sturdier and is 1.2 metres long which falls in between the 1 and 2 metre replacement cables Apple supplies. It is, likewise, priced in between and, looking less fragile, would seem to be better value for money than replacing with an Apple version.

This Belkin cable is similar in price to the official Apple product but in fact is far more durable. The closely woven gold wrapping is very smart looking, as are the gold toned lightning and USB connections. On using the cable to connect an iPhone 5c for charging the connection was instant and trouble free. There were no messages indicationg use of an unauthorised product as can be the case with some unofficial Apple cables. The cable comes very nicely presented in a magnetic closure book-style box with cellophane window. The box indicated that the cable is for an iPhone 5s but all the 5 and 6 series lightning cables can be used interchangeablyThe 4ft cable isn't as long as some - cables of up to 10ft are available but is longer than the official 1m cable and considerably tougher.Typically the official Apple cables break at the point where the wire enters the lightning connection, this looks as if it will last for many years.

Unless you're buying an Apple cable it can sometimes be difficult to find a charging/sync cable that doesn't call up the dreaded "accessory not supported" or "unauthorised product" message on your iOS device. No such trouble with this offering from Belkin though....This cable, at 1.2m just a bit longer than the stock Apple one, comes in a very attractive bronze/gold colour and is also braided, which should reduce snags and tangles. It isn't snag or tangle proof though and in use I have managed to get it knotted and twisted. So don't expect miracles! The connectors look a little more sturdy than those on the Apple products too which is a very welcome enhancement over stock.I've used the cableto charge my iPhone 6 and my iPad without any trouble at all - and ultimately that's all that matters. So I've no hesitation in giving this fine quality, attractively coloured cable 5 stars.

I've been using the cable for about a month now and it works as expected. Charges reliably just as my original lightning cable. The cable itself feels much more durable than the apple original and the braiding does help to avoid the cable getting tangled. This is very useful since I usually just keep the cable in my bag as I go to/from work. The cable is slightly longer than the standard apple cable, but with only 20cm extra I don't notice any benefits. I still can't use my phone on the sofa while it's charging. The only really complaint with the cable is the price. Being 3rd party you would expect it to be cheaper, but it is a few pounds more. It is a slightly better quality cable, but I don't think the improvements justify the price.Overall - if durability is key then go for this cable, otherwise the apple version is cheaper and does the same job.

This is by no means a cheap Lightning cable - Apple MFI certified versions can be easily acquired for under £10 - this does have a couple of special features.1. It is gold! With a gold iPhone it does look very special, and it might well be worth the premium to have a matching set, bra and pants style2. It is braided to prevent knotting. This really works. I also have a set of headphones with a braided cable and it is amazing how much difference it makes. As for its basic function as a lightning cable, absolutely fine. I have tested it with several charging points and 3 different devices, with no problems encountered. So, an extra £9-10 for gold loveliness and anti-knotting.In this case value is very much in the eye of the beholder.Nice cable. Five stars.

I love this latest acquisition. I have tested it on both my daughter's iPhone 5s and my iPad with no problems. In both cases, they charge fast with the lightning connector inserted both ways and all fitted perfectly. One of my (and especially my daughter's) bugbears is the way that the Apple cable tangles so easily. This cable does what it is supposed to do, it remains tangle free. This is clearly due to the braided finish. It also does seem better made and more robust and, at 1.2 metres long, falls between the 1 and 2 metre replacements from Apple.Due to it's obvious strengths, I would suggest this is not a bad price and it would seem to be better value for money than replacing with an Appleversion.

This Belkin cable is a high quality product, which served me for more than 3 months now. I am very happy with the product because it is durable, has a very nice design and comes in different colours matching your iPhone colour. Also comparing it with other cables I would say this is worth more, but it also is going to last more time. The cables I previously bought didn't last for a long time. This is because either they were not Apple MFI certified which means that once the firmware on your iphone was updated, the cable just didn't work, or the cable would just come apart right at the end before the plastic part of the connector.

I've only ever used the Apple cables in the past, but am so impressed with this offering from Belkin. First of all it looks amazing, so much smarter than the original Apple one. It's a lovely pale gold colour that perfectly matches my IPhone 6, the cable has a lovely corded texture, and even the connector ends, have a smart metallic finish.Have tried it with both my iPhone and also my iPad Air and it works perfectly with both. The cable really is less tangly than the apple cable, and feels sturdier and more robust. Will definitely be using Belkin from now on!

The Belkin range for the Iphone is usually of a very good standard and this is no exception. The Tangle free cable does feel a little bit of a gimmick but it's sturdy and screams of a good well made cable. It is a bit expensive however and that is concerning - I have purchased similar chargers and cables from Belkin for the iPhone 5 at a more competitive price and whilst I acknowledge that this is a good product I'm struggling to see what the difference is. Yup, it's good but Belkin do more competitive chargers/cables if you do some investigating....

That good I bought 3! One for the car one for home and one for work. They are more durable, slightly longer, better quality and seem to charge quicker than the standard cable provided with my iPhone 6. They aren't the cheapest to buy but they are worth every penny. I do normally look for a bargain however I have lived and learnt when buying aftermarket chargers that you get what you pay for. In this case great quality and far better than apples own cables. They should take note from this and produce the same themselves.

This is a really good quality charging lead for your iPhone or iPad. The wire is braided, giving the item a luxury feel and it come nicely presented in magnetised box. I'm not a huge fan of the champagne-gold colour, but other than that it' so great item. The lead is 1.2 m in length, giving you plenty of length to play with. The braided wire means that, not only is the cable tangle-free, it should last longer than an Apple lead which can be prone to weakening and falling apart where the wire joins the connectors.

The Belkin lightning-to-USB cable is a lovely piece of kit. It works perfectly with my iPhone 6 and iPad, looks stylish and most importantly is highly durable. The cable is a good length and the tangle free element is very useful, especially when travelling.Although a little on the expensive side, the Belkin cable is a high quality accessory which seems to be stronger and more hard-wearing and than the Apple equivalent.

Decent cable.Nice length.Good braided finish.Excellent colour match (my sample was gold and my wife's phone is too).Only useful for lightning compatible devices.Handy to replace the Apple version which always loses itself like errant socks in washing machines..But at just a penny short of £19 there is no way it is worth the money, but if you really need a cable that matches the colour of device then this is it.

BETTER======It's much better than the original cable. It's solid, untangle-able (if there is such a word) and well made.COMPETITORS===========There are a lot of competitors making these replacement lightning connectors.I have the original one from apple. There are also the ones you can buy here on Amazon or the well known auction site. They typically are about one pound and don't last very long (if at all.)
