Fantastically designed baby carrier with brilliant back support.Packaged well. Arrived beautifully presented in a little square box. This is a gorgeous design. It comes in two parts. The material straight away, you can tell the quality and the thickness. A dark navy blue, thick mesh type, soft material. This is all well made, no loose threads anywhere. This baby carrier is simple to use. There are easy to follow instructions in the manual provided. Everything feels really nice and secure when wearing. To use -• Put on the back piece so the criss cross is on your back, place this just below the shoulder blades, make sure this is comfortable and fits well, using the adjustable straps.• At the base of the baby carrying area, attach both sides of your back piece, to the centre clip. Using the measuring guide, make sure you adjust the size accordingly, to the size of the baby. To release these afterwards, you need to press in both clips at the same time.• Place the baby in the carrier, using both sides, at the top of the carrier, attach the pieces to the two circular clips, on the front of the back piece, either side. To release these afterwards, you need to hold in both sides of the clip at the same time.• Either side of the baby's waist, are two other attachments, one red, one blue, these slide into and lock into place, using the clips on the back piece, in their designated spot. These need to be released also, to undo them.As the baby grows, the base can be adjusted in size. The baby can also face frontwards when they have grown too. This feels very comfortable to wear. The secure clips are brilliant and having 6 of them in place, makes me feel the baby is safe. The only thing I didn't like was bending over somewhat, the baby stayed in place but the head didn't feel as steady as before.I would recommend this. You can get cheaper elsewhere but I think this one is 100% worth it. The baby feels very secure and comfortable. The whole thing is also comfortable and easy to use. I love how the clips work, safely locking into place at the base, side and top of the baby carrier. It's a brilliant design.

We are already BabyBjorn fans and have another carrier (One) that we used lots with our daughter (now 2.5). Although our trusty One carrier has a newborn setting when I tried it with my 10 day old baby boy he seemed swamped by the material and I wasn’t confident that he was securely held so I was having to hold him at all times. This defeated the purpose of using a carrier and I decided he wouldn’t go back in it again until he was bigger (I now remember feeling the same way with my daughter and being comfortable with her in it around the 4 month mark).I was initially reluctant to spend the additional money on another carrier (especially as it has a much shorter life than the One carrier)but after my husband went back to work and having been on my own for the first couple of days with an active toddler and a newborn who wants cuddles constantly, I decided to order it.We have now been using the Mini carrier for 3 days and it is really comfortable to wear for both me and my husband, and easy to adjust when swapping over. It is quick to put on and the fabric is incredibly soft - baby definitely enjoys snoozing in there. He is a baby who enjoys being cuddled on your chest in an upright position so this is an ideal carrier for him.Unlike the One carrier he sits higher on my chest so I can kiss his head and can hear and feel him breathing. I am confident that he is securely held so I get two free hands to entertain my toddler, make her some lunch, etc.As the material section is quite small I wouldn’t anticipate using it beyond 6 months (my baby is already sitting at 75th centile but I would imagine it would last longer for smaller babies) but I’m confident that it will be well used in that time both in the house and out and about.

The quality of this item is excellent- it is strong and easy to get into, both for you and the baby. However, I would caution any new mother against buying this particular item. It is rated for babies up to 10 lbs, so you are only going to get three months out of this on the assumption that your baby is average size and growth rate. That seems quite a sum to pay for a very short use. The good news is that Banybjorn make different models, and you can for very little extra get a carrier from them which is say birth to three years. Take a look at their website or maybe their is adequate explanation on Amazon. The material in contact with the baby is soft and strong and the fastenings seem very up to the task.If you have not tried one of these before, you might struggle with the illustrated instructions, which frankly, I did not find of the best- however, again, help is at hand and if you go to YouTube you will find various videos which will get you up and running in no time at all, much quicker than looking at the instructions (you should do that anyway) So if it was not for the quality of construction, I would rate this much lower on value for money due to the fact that you can only use it for the first three months. but other models are available and I would go for those. Money is always scarce when you have a new addition to the family, so better to get something which will give you a longer life.

My wife and I have been using this for 24h. Our initial experience have been very positive! We have a 1month old baby who wants to cling on to us all the time. We have tried the soft sling but it was very fiddly and the baby didn't like it.This product is a godsend. I can now type on the keyboard, do some reading, or some (very light) housework with the baby sound asleep in this carrier. The carrier is very easy to put on, and required only 10mins of me reading the manual. It is also machine washable! There are some disadvantages though:1. It's not cheap2. Baby cannot be too small - the lower limit of the official manufacturer guidance is 3.2kg. Our baby is on the smaller side, and we found that we had to really pull our carrier tight in order to keep him snug.3. The head guard is a little fiddly - if I pull it too tight the fold might be too close to my baby's face. So I had to really adjust it/fold it down so that it doesn't obstruct my baby's airway.Note that this product is not on the 'Hip Health Products' list of the International Hip Dysplasia Institute. It might be because the product is quite new. We found that our baby's hip when in the carrier is in a good 'M' position though so i think it's fine.Overall this product is awesome, and I think worth every penny.I would recommend everyone who wants to try baby wearing to read up on the 'TICKS' baby sling safety tips first.

I can see now why Babybjorn is classed as the Rolls Royce of baby carriers, every stitch speaks to high end quality. The material is a nice soft jersey, in a neutral grey colour, and the clasps and clips hardware are made from a durable heavy plastic. It took a minute to work out what bits fasten to where, but once you work it out it is quite intuitive and easy to remember. I say this as someone with dyspraxia so it's probably even easier for most people. This model is designed for newborns up to 17 pounds and I preferred this mini version to the bigger baby model I tried in store. The fabric is nice and soft and the design makes it relatively easy to slip your baby into it.I felt that the clipsand clasps were solid and secure so I felt confident that my baby was safe in this backpack style carrier compared to the cloth slings we had used previously. This is no mean feat as my not so.little one was 9lbs 11oz at birth.Pro tip - there is a cloth tag tucked into the front of the carrier one side shows a ruler so you can adjust the sizing as your baby grows and the other has pictograph instructions on.how this all comes together. This is well worth the money, and I don't know what I'll do when the baby outgrows it. A great baby must have, especially for urban parents relying on public transport as it means you can leave the pram at home.

I already have the Baby Bjorn Carrier One, which is suitably for kids from 3.5kg, according to the manufacturer. In fact, I couldn't use it with my child until he was 4.5kg.This Baby Bjorn Carrier Mini claims to work from 3.2kg. I can't say whether that it is true, but I have tried a newborn nephew of 3.5kg in it and it works fine. The problem with the Carrier One was essentially that it was too large, with the back coming way over the baby's head. That doesn't happen here, as the carrier is smaller. The Carrier Mini also has a softer, jersey-like material, while the Carrier One has a tougher mesh - the material on the Mini feels more suitable for delicate newborns.I also have a seven-month old son who can fit comfortably in the Carrier Mini.He is about 18lbs, and the manufacturer says this should take kids up to 24lbs, which seems accurate. As with the Carrier One, you can do inwards and outwards facing for the child - outwards if from five months on (similar to the Carrier One again). The Carrier One also allows carrying on the back. That is not possible with the Mini, but this is because of the age of the child it is designed to carry.Overall, this is highly comfortable to wear, easy to adjust, and very secure when carrying babies. I prefer this to the two-part material slings, primarily because it feels more secure for the child.

Out of the box you are ready to go in just few minutes, the jersey material is supper soft and I like the light grey colour, I’d have my concerns about its ability to wipe clean but I’ll test that when the time comes. After simply putting on the harness you then clip the carrier element on, the clips are big and easy to use but very secure and would only release when required. I was concerned about the next part but found it quite easy to load baby into the carrier, with a second pair of hands. After a number of uses I’m now confident to load baby on my own. The clips that hold baby in place are colour coded red and blue and again are big and easy to use,at no point did I feel concerned about the secureness or support offered to baby. Wearing this with a new born is comfortable, we have been on a couple of long walks, it’s less good for day to day jobs around the house as bending over and doing jobs is difficult while ensuring baby is supported comfortably. This is quite a high priced carrier compared to the rest of the market or even other BABYBJÖRN carriers, this is my only concern (especially as you can only use between 0-12 months)

We initially bought cheap and regretted it - a basic carrier from Mothercare. It did up around the back which made it impossible to put on and take off yourself, and the material was stiff and uncomfortable. So we decided to plunge for this carrier instead after having previous Babybjorn carriers and we're so glad we did.Someone has actually designed this carrier, you can single handedly put your baby in and take them out without having to contort your arms around behind your back like a contortionist climbing into a washing machine. You can adjust the main carrier bit too accommodate your little one as they grow, and there are 2 extra safety fasteners around the legs for when they're a bit smaller. The head part of the carrier can keep your little ones head steady so their head doesn't flop all around the place, or you can fold it down for when you have them facing outwards. The key thing being that it can still fasten down to keep your little one secure. And to top it off, the material of this carrier is so soft and comfy, it's a joy to wear and our little one is very happy in it.

This is a great hybrid between a sling and a carrier for young babies. It's more comfortable to wear than a sling (for mum and dad), and the soft carrying material is also comfortable for baby, more so than a carrier. It's very easy to put on and take off, and the structure ensures that baby's back is in a good position. I'd also say mum and dads posture is better when wearing this vs. a sling. I feel confident our baby is fully safe and secure in this which gives me the freedom of both arms to get things done. We bought this when our little one was 3 months old and I wish we had bought it earlier. There is extra material under the 'seat' which can be easily adjusted into the carrier as your baby grows. It says the carrier is suitable for 0-12 months and I think that's relatively accurate - 10 months is probably more realistic. My little one is 6 1/2 months, tall but slim (40th percentile) and I can see us using this until 10 months but I think after that we will be onto the next size carrier. It's pricey but worth it.

I had the original baby carrier one version (The most expensive) before this version, so it was great to compare the two. I truly feel that the BABYBJÖRN Baby Carrier Mini is perfect for newborns. The softer material is what really makes this win in my eyes. Previously with other carriers I've found the material to be really tough and actually quite smothering, however this is not the case with this carrier. It allows you to feel safe walking with your baby as well as not feeling like they're smothered against you, which is one of the biggest fears I had with the other one.The support of the criss cross at the back is excellent and means that it doesn't hurt your back.I would say that this should be one you'd consider right from day one with your baby. It's material is strong but breathable. The other plus point to this is that there aren't a million clips to clip in with this, it's easy to assemble and doesn't take you half an hour just to get your baby in!Well worth the price point for this fab carrier.

It took me a few tries before I could get comfortable wearing this before putting the baby in to make sure it was all untangled and the right way, I was quite surprised at how evenly it felt though, the weight was well disreputes and easy to carry. The carrier is really easy to adjust to fit each person, even my husband wore it for awhile and said it was comfortable. My only concern was falling while wearing it and hurting her in it, but after a few minutes you find your centred balance to help with that. I had to sponge wash it after my daughter was sick as I’m unsure if I can put it in the washing machine whole but it turned out well, the breathable mesh not only helps keep you and baby cool it also drives quite quickly. It’s pretty small so ideal to keep in the car or in a bag for last minute carries if you don’t have space for a Pram, but my daughter is so content in it I’ve been wearing it in the house to comfort her and keep her close while pottering with housework

Fantastic purchase - easy to get baby in and out on your own and she loves being in it. I bought this when she was three weeks old and can't imagine life without it now. I "load" my baby into it in the car so we don't get wet or cold - I push my seat back so that I can get her out of hers (which is in the back behind the passenger seat and then strap her in while we're still in the warm dry car. She can even breast feed in it if I loosen the straps off - although I wouldn't want to walk around like that for long cause the weight isn't in the right place. Talking about that, a word of advice - make sure you follow the manufacturers advice for placement of the straps rear cross over point - Ididn't bother at first and found myself with a stiff upper back and because other reviewers had mentioned this I assumed it was normal. Once I'd adjusted it properly the weight moved down and the pain went away :-)

We bought this when our baby was 2 weeks old but couldn’t use it until he was 4/5 weeks until he met the minimum weight. We bought it due to us not being able to put him down as he suffered from reflux/ colic so in those early weeks he was pretty much in this all the time. It was the only way he would sleep. It meant I could get things done around the house and he would get the sleep he needed. Honestly this was a life saver - I’m a first time mum and never thought I’d use one of these but this is the number one thing I’d recommend anyone having a baby. He’s now 4 months old and we still use this on a daily basis, we take the dog for a walk and still use it around the house. We chose this one as the fabric is super soft and it is the most comfortable for us to wear too.. it’s really easy to put on, you can do it on your own, i watched a video on YouTube for the best way to wear this for a newborn.

Needs a little figuring out with putting the straps together, but the instructions are very clear and simple to understand, being in large and simple picture format. However, once the straps have been attached to the main body of the carrier, it is a dream to use. It is easy and intuitive, so you don't have to fiddle around wondering which parts go where or how to get them undone. Moreover, nothing is stiff to use from the outset, as is so often the case, so you don't need to wear anything in before it works smoothly. It is soft for the baby, but above all it is very secure and certainly feels it, which is also important. There is a large 'pin' that hooks into a secure lock which you have to squeeze to unlock. It is robust so one feels safe in using it. Baby can be put in two positions: facing you or facing out. I am very happy to have found this product.

Wish I'd bought this sooner! My little one is 3 months old and we bought a much cheaper one which we were happyish with bit found she was very smushed against our chests, with very little head support and owww the shoulders! The baby bjorn offers much better head support and the cross over straps are much better for the back, shoulders and neck. It's doesnt stop the pain completely but then again you do have a baby strapped to your front so there's bound to be a bit of a pull!Wouldn't say it's the easiest carrier to get a baby in and out of by yourself but it is do-able and gets better with practice. With the adjustable length my daughter is able to sit lower and doesn't wack me in the chin when I walk which is a bonus.Basically,it's obviously more expensive but is definetly worth the money and I wish I hadn't wasted my money on the cheaper version.
