We initially purchased one BabyBjorn Safe Step - after having bought other items by the same company previously and being more than happy with the product purchased - for our nearly 3 year old son, who is currently potty training. The step is very safe as it has rubberised feet so that the step does not move around whilst our son is standing on it (he is a tip toe walker) and the rubber top surface reduces the risk of falls and slipping due to spilled water - which our son loves to splash every where when washing his hands. Although, he is a tip toe walker and thus, stands on his toes to get onto his toilet training seat and to wash his hands,I feel that even if he wasn't a tip toe walker he would have to do so in order to reach the toilet and the sink. The BabyBjorn safe step is more expensive than other steps however, it is of a high quality and it is the best product I have seen on the market so far. It is Iight in weight and can be moved by my son easily and when not in use it can be stored safely to one side. I have since purchased a second step for the upstairs toilet.

Similarly, to other reviewers, we used a different brand step before getting the BB one. The John Lewis step barely has any grip at the bottom (so I only use it on a bath mat as it slips on our lino bathroom floor), doesn't have any space for picking it up from beneath (the whole bottom surface touches the floor), the top is so slippery even if dry and tips over very easily. At the moment we use a BB for our toddler to get onto the toilet and the John Lewis step by the sink. But now that my boy has a swollen lip and his nose was bleeding after his second accident on the darned JL step, I've ordered another BB one and don't care how much it costs. The BB step is worth every penny-its incredibly stable, never slippery (even when covered in water) and has a very useful space beneath the stool so its incredibly easy to move around. Would very highly recommend it. It will last you years so its well worth investing in this one and it will keep your child safe, unlike cheaper versions.

This Babybjorn foot stool couldn't be better. It's for my own use, not a child, although obviously it's ideal for children as well. I needed something of a particular height so that it would store under a kitchen chair, and it had to be strong enough to carry my weight (9 st). It's extremely strong - the sides and top don't "give" at all, and as you can see in the photo, it is reinforced underneath. I've tried to show the top in the third photo, which is rubber. There's not any possibility of slipping on that. Here are the measurements: Height 16cm, maximum width of base 35cm, maximum width of top 30cm, max depth at base 24cm, max depth of top 20cm. There are certainly cheaper foot stools on the market, and there are hinged varieties that fold up (and consequently probably break after a while) but for quality and durability I doubt there's anything to beat this one.

My application is quite unusual. I use it as a foot rest for a 8 year old in the car. For some reason child seat manufacturers think it’s ok for kids to have their feet dangling - has anyone tried it for more than 15min? It’s very uncomfortable. So if you look at your typical kid sitting in a booster they will be twisted with their feet up etc. I am pretty sure none of those seats would pass crash tests of tested the way kids would actually end up in accident in real life.I had special adjustable device that Amazon sold intermittently to help my kids with resting their feet from 3 years old. That is now out of range for my 8 year old do i needed something that would go lower. This is perfect and is small enough to go into footwell. Just buy your car badge and cover the existing one to turn it into an OEM.

Most important thing is that it's not bright pink or otherwise horrific to look at. Bought it for our downstairs loo ( that visitors use) as it goes with the slate floor and white loo, black loo seat etc. One side has a teddy image, the other is plain so you can turn it and make it not so kiddy kitsch. It is sturdy, nice non slip top, not too many recesses and cavities that collect urine from splashy little boys. It is expensive but if you have to live with it and look at it/clean it everyday it might as well be a nice one. (just reread this and it sounds snooty, i don't mean it to be - just want to move on with my life away from bloomin bright plastic stuff all over my house!)

A great buy which compliments the toddler toilet seat also. The stool does exactly what it states. It is actually a decent height which is a bonus as my little boy is able to climb up into the stool and then straight onto the toilet, he then moves the stool to the sink himself to then wash his hands. He has it down to a T. Lol. Both the stool and trainer seat look fabulous a lot more expensive than cheaper makes but in my opinion well worth spending the extra to get a great set which in the long run helps children gain confidence using the toilet and sink themselves without slipping all over. I would Definately recommend.

I've bought several items made by BabyBjorn and I still hesitate when clicking 'add to basket' because of the price. Everything seems just a little too expensive, but the quality of manufacture and fitness for purpose is hard to beat and I'm always delighted with their products. The step is no exception; it's a well designed, high quality item that allows me not to worry about it slipping or buckling in use. There are no sharp edges, it's easy to clean and it looks good too. As another reviewer has mentioned, it finds lots of uses beyond the bathroom; I'm going to buy another one!

Cannot recommend this step and the toilet trainer seat highly enough. I did my research into both steps and trainer seats and despite the extra cost compared to others I was swayed by the good reviews of both and I am not disappointed. My 2.5 yr old was not interested in using the potty so I thought we might try and go straight to the toilet and the stable step and seat have made that very easy and natural. She also loves the picture of the teddy on the seat and the step so calls it the "teddy toilet" when she needs to go.

We have three different little steps for our 2.5 year old dotted around our home. This step is used to reach the toilet which is next to our shower in our slate tiled bathroom. Out of our 3 steps, this step has the best grips both on the floor (which is often a little damp as next to the shower) and also good grip for little feet (we think better than other as the whole area is rubber rather than just dots or stripes). On the downside this steps is more expensive than others but we have found it is a better product.

I love it but the one I got from Amazon was super dirty and it looked like someone had used it, tested it and returned it. I was no impressed by that and returned it. My husband decided our daughter was still too young for it and thus I didn't ask for a replacement.I have to say it is uncharacteristic of Prime to send items in the state we got our step and I sincerely hope this was a one off. It's a very sturdy and well built step (but then again it is BabyBjorn and you get what you pay for).

This is an excellent safe step for small children. Bought this for my 2 1/2 year old son while he was training to use big toilet as we have laminate bathroom floors. It is very sturdy and he is confident using it and doesn't slip or move at all. My son (now 3) also drags it around the house to help me do baking in the kitchen, etc. I also use it myself as a step to reach high cupboards in the kitchen.

This step is well made with excellent grip. We had bought a cheaper version which does the job in terms of providing extra height, but would tip up if my daughter leaned too much on one side. Although this is more expensive I think it will last longer - also the range of colours are more likely to fit in with your average bathroom colour scheme. It also doubles well as a little bathroom seat for her!

We love these steps. They are truly non-slip - the rubber on the bottom ensures the step doesn't move and the gap in the middle allows for slightly uneven surfaces. The rubber on the top of the step covers the whole surface which makes them particularly good for little ones who aren't thinking about where their feet are going when they're reaching for the sink! These steps are well worth the money.

I chose this step stool mainly on the strength of previous reviews. In short, it is very well made, it has none-slip feet and a none-slip standing surface. From the floor it stands just under 16cm tall which may not be tall enough for smaller children. One of our older (teenage) children who sometimes uses it to reach the high shelf in our bathroom weighs over 9 stone and this stool copes fine.

Just arrived today and very impressed. We have either wooden or tiled floors in our bathrooms so it was important to buy a step that had good tred to ensure the step didn't move once our little girl stood on it. This seems to do just the job, looks well made and doesn't look out of place even though it is plastic. Have looked at wooden steps but they all seemd to heavy for her to move herself.
