My 3 year old daughter over night started a fear of the bath, we tried numerous ideas and different advice to try and figure out what about the bath scared her as she has had no bad experiences in the bath and when trying to talk to her about it she would shut you off and was unwilling to say. Finally after awhile and different ideas we got to the bottom of the problem when she finally opened up (bit of a surprise as i always lie her back to wash her hair so no water has ever ran onto her face). I bought this hat in desperation as her fear was terrible and even the mention of a bath or hearing a bath running she would get extremely upset and even lash out, the behaviour was awful and all advice and tips had all failed.I told her i had bought it and it was a special hat so she got quite excited for its arrival. Started with her just wearing it normal around the house to get used to it and built up from there. Now a month later and she loves her baths again, it is wonderful to have my lovely sweet little girl back again at bath times. She even pours a little water on herself as we have made a game to make it rain with the water coming off the peak of the hat. Thank you and would reccomend to any parent having a similar problem.

My daughter is just over 2 and half and I've been using this since she was about 12 months. She screamed the place down every time I washed her hair so thought I'd give this a try. At first she continued screaming even with the shield on, but after 6 or 7 uses she finally realised she was no longer getting water in her eyes and bingo! No more screaming. We can't do without it now and she loves wearing it, even putting it on herself when it's not even bath time. On the few occasions she's had a bath at her Nan's house and we forgot the shield she's reverted to screaming. I'm finally about to replace my original one as it's just started to get a few black mold spots, but it is almost two years old so certainly had my money's worth out of it. It's kept its shape well too and doesn't leave any marks on her head after use. I found it easier to pull it right down over her head so it's loose around her neck, then pull it back up to her hair line and tuck it over her ears. This prevents most of her hair getting trapped underneath it. Water does still go in her ears a bit but she's got used to that now although she wasn't happy about it to start with. Overall I'd say give it a go but be prepared to persevere.

Purchased item to deal primarily with the nightmare that is bath time for both me and my toddler. It fits well and its foam material lends itself to a little stretching if the bigger kids don't like shampoo time either! It protects the toddler from the majority of water that would usually run on her face but it can be difficult to wash the hair that lies underneath the foam head shield itself as its design means that it covers some of the hair line. It can be mostly remedied by pulling it farther down the face underneath the hairline but my toddler in particular is not a big fan of it lying across her ears and face so not as effective as maybe the picture advertising indicates.I do like the design however - it is very simple and could be effective with a child that is not quite so terrified of water in her face, and its price is fantastic. Would def recommend giving this product a try before investing in the more expensive alternatives as may work for the less terrified and fussy!

Brilliant and cheap. My daughter who is 2yrs old and has a small head put the hat on before the bath and I told it was special shampoo hat for the bath.Once in the bath i pull it all the way down to her neck on dry hair and then pulled it back up again making sure to cover the ears, move all the hair up onto the head and the fit was good.I checked the picture for the correct angle and we started. On the 1st go, she was worried that the water would splash again in her face but didnt and she didnt pull it off, after a few words and water of reassurance she was happy as a pig in.... water!Laughing and singing till the end. There were no leaks and all was good,I would recommend this product and buy again. As it's made of a wetsuit type of material i have left it to hang (air) dry so that it doesnt go mouldy.Happy days are here again.

My 3 year old has always hated having his hair washed - he screams and tries to get out of the bath so we bought one of these and gave it a go. He still doesn't like having his hair washed but he cries a lot less and doesn't try and escape.I thought the shield was going to be stiff but actually it's soft and spongey. It stretches well and fit's my 3 year olds (quite big head!) fine - becuase of the stretch I think it would fit quite a large range of ages. The only awkward bit is trying to get some of the hair lower down up through the shield so you can wash it. It kept the water from going in his eyes and ears which was great. You just have to be careful when lifting it off as some water may drip off into the eyes.Cheap as well and doesn't take up much space. Also as it's soft, will be easy to take on holiday.

Thought this was pricey initially- especially when taking into account negative reviews where product falls to pieces after few uses but bought it in desperation to try anything to stop my baby screaming when i washed her hair and although she screamed anyway (she doesnt like baths at the moment) it worked! The water hardly ran into her eyes and i could wash all her hair. I am so pleased at the thought of giving her some relief a its heartbreaking to see your baby scream and if the water did go into her eyes as it used to without the hat, she would have been so hysterical. I cant thank the seller enough and also the person who invented this marvelous idea! Will knock off a star if it does breakafter second use but will still buy asany as it takes to keep baby calmer

I bought this after having first tried the Shampoo Jug with disastrous results. Thinking bath time would never be the same again, I was rather skeptical about this floppy, very simple looking 'cap'. However, after using it the first time, I nearly cried with relief! My son didn't even realise I was washing his hair; he played on happily while I was able to gently rinse his hair with a sponge. It is a bit fiddly to stretch over the head, but it has to be tight to hold out the water, and my son doesn't mind when I put it on him. I was willing to try every product on the market, but am so pleased I tried this shield as one of the first things. Don't waste money on the jug - buy this instead!

We had terrible tears at every bath time between the ages or 1 and 2. We tried this shield a few times but my daughter just pulled it off. We hated washing her hair! She wriggled so much it was impossible to avoid getting water in her eyes. When she was 2 we tried ithe shield again, saying it was a 'magic hat', and all of a sudden she loved it! It then worked brilliantly and bathtimes became a joy. She loved her magic hat, which totally stopped water getting in her eyes. Regular use over the last 7 months has stretched it out a bit and it is starting to become less effective, so I'm now ordering a new one. It's very cheap though so that's ok. Overall an excellent product.

I have been looking for a solution for water entering my 15 month old twins' eyes and ears while washing their hair. This always made the experience stressful for all concerned. I decided to try this product at least to stop water getting in the eyes. To my surprise it not only solved the eyes issue, it simultaneously solved the ears issue too.!!! This item is an absolute bargain for what it does. I am not sure what some reviewers meant by it is tight. It fits my kids well and there is little room left so will still fit as they get older. I am going to buy some more just as backup for the future and to give as gifts to family and friends with babies

My 7 month old hates getting water in his eyes when having a bath, which made washing his hair a job I dreaded as he would throw a tantrum and writhe about in the water no matter how careful I was, making it very difficult to keep hold of him. I decided to buy one of these to see if it would help. I must admit I was a little skeptical when it arrived as it is very flimsy and made from a foam/rubber material. As I tipped the water onto his hair I watched in anticipation and to my delight, not a drop of water on his face. I am thrilled with this product and highly recommend it, especially given the price.

Clippasafe Shampoo Shield is absolutely brilliant at a very reasonable price.I was in fact looking for one that would be suitable for adults as well as babies and originally this is the only one that I found. It is a little bit of a struggle to get it on but once on no water gets underneath which is a really great help to me personally as I have a very rare type of cancer and cannot get the facial area wet.On this occasion I have in fact purchased 2 as I am so happy with them.Perhaps if an extra inch could be made on the head circumference it would make it perfect.

Bought this due to my youngest who has a freak out when water goes on his head.A serious freak out which makes it all worse. But since getting this last year, omg its been amazing!High quality.Fits very snug on, which is obviously what you want. Can adjust up and down on forhead until comfy for the kid.It has stopped ALL tears and freak outs, and even more so has made him gain confidence, and when my 5year old wears this he is now happy to pour jug of water over his own head as it keeps the water outta his eyes.Iwish i bought much sooner than i did.

My husband is a bit nervous when it comes to bath-times for our son and this helps to give him loads more confidence and he really enjoys the time now without worrying about getting products in or baby's eyes. However he's nearly 9 months now (the baby, not my husband)and doesn't have a particularly big head and it leaves a mark around the top of his his forehead after use. I'm not sure how much longer I'll contunue use of it as it does seem quite tight. This may be a slightly different product and bigger but the picture certainly looks the same.

I always hated when it was time to wash my daughter's hair. It was very traumatic for me and her! She hated the water going in her face and in her ears.Saw this product on Amazon and thought I'd try it. I put it on her head for a few minutes and told her this would stop the water going in her ears and face. The first time I tried it I couldn't believe it - no tears/screams - she sat there while I washed and combed her hair through. It fits perfectly around her head. Excellent Product - does the job.!Would definitely recommend it to anynone.

Our 2 1/2 year old simply hated having her hair washed (to the point of actually making herself sick in the bath!) but we have just experienced the first ever tear-free hair wash. I was scepical at first but thought it worth a try for the price. It's a very simple product but it fits fine on our toddler's largish head (and Daddy even managed to get it on his head!). Our toddler was unsure but then quite astounded when we poured water on her head and it didn't go near her eyes or ears. She happily let us wash and rinse her hair. What a relief!
