I used this for the first time today, so I’ll update when I’ve used it more if necessary. But so far it’s been a pretty groundbreaking product for us.I suffer from several chronic illnesses that mean hypermobile joints, aches, pains, general fatigue, weakness and low stamina are all part of the daily struggle for me as a new mother. Until today, bathing my son (now two months old) had been just barely manageable even with help from his daddy or grandma, and always resulted in a significant amount of pain and stress for me. We’d been bathing little one in a baby bathtub with a support cushion but that is a bit difficult to manage as you have to support their necks the entire time whilst trying to do everything else a bath entails.Bathing him with me in the normal bathtub was a little better but still a bit scary now that his kicking reflex is strong enough to cause a potential issue and it still left me exhausted from trying to juggle everything, and wash the baby whilst making sure to keep him secure.I finally got fed up and ordered this bath seat. Thank GOODNESS I did. Today at bathtime I could actually wash my baby with almost no trouble. I sat in the bath with him and revelled that I didn’t have to wash him whilst struggling to support him one handed, and I didn’t have to stress about him slipping as much, which allowed us much more bonding time with plenty of eye contact and giggles, not to mention being much much safer. Less struggling and holding meant less stress and pain for me too. My shoulders are very thankful. Thanks to this seat I’m suddenly so much more confident with the thought of having to bathe my son by myself in future. My only issue with this so far is that it’s a bit hard to get into the underarms and neck crevices with a flannel whilst baby is in the seat but I’m sure it will get easier with practice.I would gladly marry the creator of this product for the help it’s going to bring my baby and I for the next couple of months. My only regret is that I didn’t discover this seat sooner! Every new mother should have one in their arsenal, in my opinion.

I was unsure whether to buy one of these when expecting my baby, but I would definitely say it is one of the items which has made a real difference. It gave me confidence bathing my newborn especially when I had to do it alone. She loves bathtime and I think using the Angelcare seat has definitely helped - instead of worrying about holding her head up I'm able to focus on washing her properly (try washing under an unwilling baby's arms one handed!) and enjoying bathtime play.We used this from her first bath at 2 weeks old and she has never cried or made a fuss. Being able to sit unrestricted in the seat means baby can gain confidence kicking around in the water independently. The seat is robust, doesn't move around in the bath and is easy to clean (there was an explosive poo incident which the seat survived!). The hook is useful for storage (it's a little larger than I expected but it is designed to be used by babies up to 6 months) - I bought a waterproof adhesive hook and attached it to the wall next to the bath so it's out of the way and can drain.I did wonder if baby would get cold as you only fill the water to the max fill line which reaches around their thighs, but she never seems to be. We gently pour water over her throughout the bathtime and it seems the silicone net retains warmth, even as the water temperature drops. Because of the holes in its netted design you can be sure that the back of baby's head, neck and most importantly bum is getting clean too!The only downside of this versus a traditional baby bath is that you have to be crouched down by the bath and you have to fill the whole bath, so you're using quite a lot of water. However, because you have both hands free, being on the floor isn't that uncomfortable, and being able to enjoy bathtime as quality time is definitely worth it!

I wish I had bought this when pregnant and preparing for the baby! As a first-time expectant mum, you are bombarded with products to buy and it all gets a bit mind boggling, you never really know what to get.I started out with a baby bath built-in to our changing table, trouble is that we found it awkward to bathe our newborn, it ended up always being a two-person job with myself and my partner trying to wrangle with a slippery baby, so scared of dropping her. Bathing our daughter was never a pleasant experience, so much work filling up the bath with a bowl, loads of trips to and from bathroom/nursery to fill/empty bowl, etc. etc. Most importantly, our daughter always cried during a bath, probably feeling insecure in our arms and sensing our fear of dropping her!I bought this recently, at my wits end really as bathing your baby, you are told by the books and websites, is supposed to be a positive, bonding experience and relaxing for the baby. I never felt ours were so, for under twenty quid, thought I would give this bath support a whirl. It's been brilliant! My daughter really enjoys her baths now and sleeps almost through the night after one at less than 10 weeks old with no more tears. She is well supported, comfortable with the flexible mesh and the support warms up with the water so no bums on cold, hard plastic. It's easy to clean and you can hang it to dry/keep it out of the way as it has a hanging loop. Also, most importantly, I feel confident to bathe her alone without help ... and no more time wasted filling and emptying a baby bath! Much more convenient with smiles all round in our household! So expectant mums confused of just what to buy (or new mums that are having the same problems with baby baths as I did) - buy this! You will find it indispensable.

I am a disabled mother and my husband has recently had spinal surgery so working out how to bath our newborn was a question that had been on our minds for a while and probably one of the biggest headaches during pregnancy looking at all the options. We knew that we would never manage a traditional baby bath and the sink wasn't really an option either. I discovered bath supports and they seemed ideal however they were all ridged hard plastic and that didn't seem like it would be comfortable at all, I then came across the Angelcare bath support. It's a lovely design. The sides are a good strong solid plastic but the bit that supports the baby is a silicone and is a mesh sort of design which allowsthe water to come up through so it's never cold for your little one.My baby is very comfortable in it. It sits lovely in our bath and then there is room for me to get into the bath as well so I don't have any awkward twisting or bending. To clean it just rinse with the shower and prop it up to dry.It is obviously something that needs storing and does take up a bit of room, but less room than a traditional baby bath, it can be hung from the wall as there is a hole to hang it from a hook, however I tend to just prop it up at the end of the bath when not in use, we still have plenty of room to use the shower with it in there. It was a considered purchase as I felt it was a little expensive, however waiting meant I was able to get it at a lower price than what it normally sells at (I paid £16).The green colour is gorgeous and something a little different, I'm sick of pink for a girl and blue for a boy (though having seen the blue in the shops that is also a nice colour so I would have been happy with that).Quality product that will last.

With our first we had a conventional baby bath which once full are really heavy. You need to support baby using one arm whilst bathing them with the other. You have to tip it away into the bath or sink which can lead to some pretty messy splashing. And to be fair they aren't in them for long. Last time we then progressed to a hard moulded winnie the pooh seat which suctioned to the bottom of the bath, we still needed to use a hand to support baby and she kept slipping down. Not to mention the fact that she never looked comfortable.Fast forward to baby number 2 at 4 weeks with me pulling my hair out trying to bath both my little ones by myself while my shift worker husband was out and a friend of ours also with 2 under 2 saying why aren't you bathing together with an angelcare Support? This has been a huge game changer. I am now able to bath both together or bath my youngest first take her out and be getting her ready in the bathroom while my toddler plays with me still supervising. It allows me to have both hands friend to wash her. Her to stay warm and be able to kick her legs and wave her arms without feeling so cooped up in a baby bath. I think I may shed a little tear when she grows out of it.I love it that much I tell everyone I know who is pregnant that they have to get one!!! There are only a few products that I have regretted not knowing about sooner and this is the one I wish I'd had from day one with baby one.Update: I have since bought these for 2 more mums who have fallen in love with these and said they would not be without them

I didn't particularly want a baby bath as a lot of people had told me that they're expensive, babies grow out of them quickly and they take up a lot of space, but I had terrible SPD and reduced mobility for months after birth so didn't know how I could bathe my son safely. This was a great solution! The rubber base prevents the product slipping on the floor of the bath and also means it doesn't scratch the bath. My bath does have a slight taper so the seat doesn't sit perfectly on the floor of the bath but doesn't move at all thanks to the rubber and is still secure with my son sitting in it. I was concerned that the plastic part between his legs might be uncomfortable but he's fine with it and happily kicks his legs in the water. The base is also a helpful indicator of how much water you need to put in the bath for complete novices like myself and my partner!!It's lightweight and the mesh back is comfortable for him, plus the bucket shape means he can't get out of it himself. There's also no assembly required. We were bought another bath support after my son was born which looked a bit like a bouncer in shape and was fiddly to set up and was easy for my son to fall out the front or sides, so this shape and build works much better for both practicality and safety. We didn't have a great deal of money when I got pregnant and I'm really glad this is one of the things we spent our money on.

I love this product. I was always petrified of bathing my first child. I found it uncomfortable holding her in the water and was always worried I'd drop her or bang her head. If my husband said he would be late and wouldn't be back in time for bath time I would feel quite stressed out. So this time round I decided I'd get a bath support. I looked at lots and chose this one mainly because it looked easy to keep clean and mould free and looked like the hammock would be comfy for baby. I am not dissapointed, it lived up to my expectations (which were high) and makes bathing my new baby a real pleasure that I now look forward to. It's very sturdy and stable in the bath.I put him in at just a few weeks old and felt happy about his position. He is now 2 months old and still has growing room. He loves it and goes calm when I sit him in it in or out of the water. Before I bought it I was worried he'd be cold, but he doesn't seem to be and loves having water poured over him. I don't see why you couldn't fill the bath more as the baby gets older either. in my opinion t dlol this is a well designed and helpful bath time aid.

I can't fault this bath seat. We've tried a few over the past three years so when our newborn arrived, we wanted something sturdy, especially since he was sharing a bath with his 2.5 year old sister. Well, its much sturdier than expected but to be fair, it's bigger than I anticipated. If you have a small bath, its likely to be fine providing there is only one in the bath at a time. The seat is rubbery so moulds to the childs back. The holes let the water past too so its warmer and when you wash them, they are not laid in the suds. The rubber seat also prevents your child from slipping around. The seat is generous in size and depth and is plenty big enough for our 2.5 year old to sit in it.She shouldn't but the moment her brother gets out, she is in it!One in place with the child in it, it won't move due to the rubber feet. There is no need for suction cups like others we have had and because the base is wider than the seat, it's impossible to tip it over.Overall, this is a much safer and more comfortable seat than most others. Definitely worth paying the extra for.

I used this for our son from the time we took him home from the hospital so it’s the only bath seat we’ve ever had. It’s only been until we purchased a sit up bath seat because he’s nearly grown out of this that I realised how much I LOVE this seat! It’s a simple design without loads of parts or crevices for water to get trapped in so you don’t have to worry about the potential of mold. It’s got a convenient loop at the back to hang it though we just prop it against the back of the tub and it dries just fine. You wouldn’t think the amount of water that gets into the base is very much (there’s a max water line on the seat) but it’s just enough. Our little one would get a little chilly so I’d just used an extra flannel that I’d periodically dip in the warm bath and lay it on his body and he was happy. It’s a bit cumbersome to get to his back and bum but that’s the case with pretty much any bath seat. He likes it too. I put some bubbles in the bath and he loves to kick around in the water. Any time he’s got a bad belly from gas, we pop him in it and he’s great

I used a baby bath when my son was first born as I loved the closeness but he soon outgrew it. I personally do not want to share a bath with my son so searched for something suitable and SAFE to assist with bath time ..... Angelcare Soft touch Bath Support was the answer! The seat is very robust and well made. The mesh is high quality and very comfortable for my LO. He sits in the chair about a 30 degree angle, the leg separator is far enough forward so he can sit comfortably and be cleaned properly. The chair is none slip and has never moved in the bath, even when he is kicking. The material warms quickly to the temperature of the water (was worried that he may feel cold at first)so you LO will feel secure and happy during bath time. The chair wipes clean and has a hanging hook so air dries quickly. I am so pleased with this purchase! My back has not been the same since having a epidural and this help so much. I don't have to bend to hold my son, meaning I can enjoy playing and splashing safe in the knowledge he is secure.

We are on our third baby after quite a big gap in-between (12 years), needless to say 12 years ago this product wasn't around. 12 years ago it was a plastic bathtub on the floor or a shallow bath in the main tub, carefully supporting babies head and body at the same time (very awkward). This product solves all bath time issues and leaves parents and baby safe to just enjoy bath times. It’s very well constructed and the plastic / rubber mesh has enough flex in it to support baby but not be too harsh. Our boy absolutely loves bath time and what was a chore 12 years ago is just brilliant now all thanks to this product. After use a quick shake and then a dry with a towel and you are done.We havefound that our boy loves this seat so much that when he’s wrapped in a blanket in an evening he goes off to sleep in it before going upstairs into his cot.I've got two friends at work also expecting soon, out of all the gadgets we have bought there was only this and Ewan the Sheep that I advised them were must buys.

As both my husband and I have bad backs on a regular basis, we found that our traditional baby bath was too awkward to use as we had to keep a contestant supportive hand under our son's head whilst bathing him and then trying to get a hold of his towel to bring him out to dry was extremely difficult.I was then recommended this angelcare bath support and was very pleased and it has saved my back!Using this support means that I can have both hands free to get his toys to show and play with him.I also love that it has a loop at one end so I can hang it on the wall-the traditional baby bath is so cumbersome and the only place to store it is on top of my boy's wardrobe which isn't ideal.I like themesh surface on this bath support as it means that that his bum is sat in the water during the bath and his legs can still splash about in the main bath area too.If you've found my review useful please vote it as helpful.

I had to write a review of this bath as it is so good. We were given it as a gift after we complained to my brother that baby was really hard to hold onto in the bath and absolutely hated every minute of his bath time. We had a baby bath and one of those foam supports but neither was working.A few days later this arrived in the post and i can honestly say it's one of the best things we've had for the baby. £20 for a baby bath seems a lot but it's transformed bath time for us. Baby is as happy as Larry in this seat. He kicks his little legs around and we have lots of smiles. I feel reassured that he is well supported and I'm not worried about dropping him. It's surprising how slippy and wiggly they get at Bath time.I can concentrate on washing him while he feels secure.I can't recommend this product enough. Worth every penny. He even sits in it fully clothed while I'm cleaning the bathroom. Love it.

Unlike her big brother, our three month old daughter decided she was not going to stay put on the simple toweling covered bath support we had used for him. Instead she would writhe, wriggle and kick constantly - with her attempted 'dismountings' leading to uncomfortable parents though constantly leaning over the bath to keep our hands on her.We bought this support as a hopeful solution...and it's worked. She still loves the bath and can kick and wriggle away, but we can watch rather than have to constantly have hands on her. We do fill the bath further than the 'fill to' line as if we stopped at that point she pretty much would just have her bum in the water.Instead we fill a bit higher so she can still splash (we would never take our eyes off her so we know she's safe). This support looks so much more comfy for babies than the rigid plastic ones and it drains well too. Bit bulky but worth it.

This is one of those simple products that makes things that little bit easier.I got my first bath time smiles the first time I switched to this bath support. I had previously bought a regular baby bath and a large bath sponge support. Neither of these allowed me to take my hands off the baby which means a lot of awkward, one-hand manoeuvres!Obviously I still don't leave baby unattended but this support means I can take my hand off my little boy to get the shampoo on my hands etc.I tend to put a tad more water in the bath than the max fill line. This is not endorsed by the manufacturer so I can only tell you what I feel comfortable with as I think it keeps him warmer. You might not be able totell from the picture but the baby lies in a firm plastic mesh and is very comfortable. The only slight difficulty is washing baby's bum but that is even more difficult without a support!
