For any new parent, a baby carrier is the item I would recommend – especially if you love to get outdoors and off the beaten track where a pram/pushchair just couldn’t go – even negotiating your way through baby streets and shops is a doddle. I used the Close Caboo Lite for my child up to 14 months – I just loved the closeness of a wrap over a more structured carrier but now he can wriggle his shoulders out of it, it just doesn’t feel that secure so using the Babybjorn One was the perfect transition to carry him on my back instead of my front. With any carrier, I feel the instructions are just so confusing – this one isn’t up to the point of back carrying but there are plenty of videos on YouTube which takes all the confusion away.I would recommend practicing with a big soft toy though rather than baby to begin with. I don’t think I would have liked using this for a newborn though. For me I feel happier using it from 12 months as it doesn’t have the same flexibility to move their hips into the correct position as much as a wrap carrier. Having carried on my front for 14 months (plus 9 months of pregnancy), my centre of gravity is way off so this wasn’t something I could just put on and use straight away – it took a lot of practice with his slightest movements throwing me off balance. Once you get the hang of it though it’s so easy to use and I do feel a lot more durable than a wrap. I don’t like the back yoke being totally attached as it does make the carrier harder to use and because I’m still breastfeeding I need to make sure it’s not digging into the tissue. My partner too finds it very restrictive especially in the colder months when he has several layers on as even when loosened as far as it will go, it is very tight with the weight of the child pulling it back. If we get 18 months or more out of it (up to 3 years) then even that would feel good value for money – if you use it from newborn to 3 years then even better.

We've tried a number of different carriers with our little bundle of joy - including the Ergobaby 360, Stokke MyCarrier, Close Parent caboo+ sling and quite possibly the entire Babybjorn range - and the Babybjorn One Air is the best on the market. The carrier is very easy to use; it can be put on in seconds and within a minute you can have your baby secured. Manual adjustments are straightforward to make and there is good support for baby's legs and hips, with no need for a separate newborn insert, as the Babybjorn One Air has an easy-to-use zip instead which raises the height of the 'seat'.The carrier is also really comfortable to wear with its soft, lightweight cotton and mesh fabric. It is lightweight enough to be warn through even the hottest summer days and gives good support across the back with its adjustable strap. The material dries really quickly if it gets wet, which is perfect for our little boy who is teething and he loves to chew on the front of the carrier. The downside to this is that the mesh fabric makes it a little more difficult to clean up any sick, so we have to put it through the wash on occasion to ensure it is hygienically clean. It also doesn't allow access for breastfeeding - which will be a problem for some - and doesn't have any storage space, but this helps keep the weight down (and from what I've seen the storage on other carriers is always so small that it is invariably useless). These minor issues aside, we love our Babybjorn and rarely leave home without it.

Baby carriers are a fantastic invention - perfect for parents on the go, and even for parents who want to keep baby close by in and around the house. The problem with many baby carriers is that they can make you and your baby quite warm, especially in summer. This baby carrier is very well made, as you would expect from the brand Baby Bjorn to be, and the design of the material used means that air can circulate through the carrier, so your baby and you stay comfortable and don't get overheated and sweaty. It's very versatile - can be worn back or front - and easily switches from one to the other. It is well made, and well padded,so comfortable for your baby and for you to wear. The design is International hip dysplasia institute certified - so you know using this isn't going to harm or hurt your baby in any way.I have seen some of the other reviews saying this isn't suitable for a newborn baby - I cannot comment on this because the baby we used it with is 6 months old, so the baby fits well and comfortably in the carrier. So please take the time to read all the other reviews on this item.It is on the expensive side (the brand isn't the cheapest), as many items aimed at parents of babies are,but it is well made and sturdy. Sometimes you get what you pay for.I hope you found this review helpful.

We were searching for a baby carrier which would be a good quality product for a reasonable price. And this BabyBjorn carrier was the one we choose. First of all, then taking a carrier straight out of the box it looks a bit confusing as it has so many straps. However, it is just the first Impression as it is really simple and requires just a few adjustments. So, what would be one of the first pros for this carrier. Secondly, with a baby safely inside it, the back does not feel any excessive pressure which is perfect for someone who is active as us and likes long walks. Moreover, we got a 3D mash version which provides good ventilation and keeps me and my baby cooler even on a hot day,as well after washing it dry’s very fast. Although it looks very small, after all, adjustments it fits me perfectly as well comfortable and I am 6.7 feet. Finally, there is a 4 different positions it can be worn, which will be an amazing feature in future with a bit older baby. As a baby could enjoy the scenery while having walks as well. Overall its is a good Scandinavian quality I was hoping for. And this kind of quality is worth this price.

I’d tried a few baby carriers at the NCT classes before my first child was born. The only one I found really comfortable and easy to put on was the BabyBjorn. Having used them with my children, I strongly recommend them and regard a good baby carrier as essential. I much prefer using one and a small rucksack (for the nappies and wet wipes) whilst shopping or travelling, than lugging around a pram or pushchair – easier to stow in the car as well. The ability for the child to face forward in the carrier is also a boon – my kids have loved this and it’s kept them quiet and still whilst I shop. This version has a soft, quick drying breathable mesh, it offers a variety of positions and size adjustments, and is easy to put on and adjust. My youngest feels very secure in it, and all the clips and buckles are easy to use and feel very solid. These are expensive, and from my experience, using one until the child is three would be pushing it somewhat (my older children were a bit too big and heavy for me to carry them in one comfortably by the time they were three), but for younger children, these are excellent.

I got this for my new baby, who was 9lb+ when born. We tried to get a different carrier before this but it was just impractical. I’ll simplify my review with a pros and cons list, but just buy this amazing thing. We got the black air version.Pros:- It’s easy to put on: even if you are new to the world of baby carriers, which we were having previously had twins, it’s amazingly easy to put on. I can put this and baby in carrier and be ready to go in two minutes.- It’s supportive: I have an awful back, thanks to previous jobs and pregnancies and epidurals but this puts no pressure on that. I don’t struggle at all.- Baby loves it: Our baby goes to sleep whenever we put him in it.He must be comfortable.- It fits over my excess body: kinda strange wording but having just been pregnant and having gained a fair bit of weight, I’m not the thinnest person and I can use this.Cons:- The Price: As with a lot of baby products, when you look at the prices and the materials you are actually spending it on, it’s ridiculous but it’s been worth the money I suppose.

This is my favorite carrier and I tried 2 other carriers that I did not care for but this one was amazing. It's so easy to get on and off, has great neck support for little man, and is comfortable on my back! My husband even likes to wear it around and says it's a must have. My baby falls asleep within minutes almost every time. My husband who is 6'3" 250 pounds and I who am 5'3" 140 pounds, can both wear this - so it also has a wide range as far as who can use.I love the straps crossed on the back! Such a simple design but it makes a huge difference, weight is being held by your entire back and shoulders instead only by your shoulders and this is MUCH easier. It’s made out of comfortable fabric,it’s soft and hugs the baby while providing support. Much different then the other carriers which are tough, rough and bulky and kinda force babys body into certain position.I’ve been getting lots of compliment by wearing this baby strap when I take my baby out for a walk in the park. It’s very safe and secure.

The main positives of this carrier, for me are :Excellent fabric choice for all year use (in cold weather you can overwrap the carrier; in hot it is nicely vented)Extremely well made with high quality finishing and components.Your baby can sit in multiple positions - when we used the more basic BB carrier with my daughter she grew from liking facing us to facing outwards - starting a much longer trend in general! The lumbar strap is a great addition for longer duration comfort and protecting you from strain. All that said, this is a very expensive model. I can see if having good resale value but nevertheless there are plenty of good and much less costly designs. There’s also the ongoing question over whether this kind of carrying puts undue pressure on your baby’s growing hips. For my money, this is a false concern unless you are spending very long durations carrying them. But worth considering and interesting that BB now include an endorsement from a hip specialist organisation...

I’ve had my niece in this baby carrier for the last few days. She’s only just over 3 months and about average size. She felt really secure in there and her head came to about just a few inches from my chin. Quite amazingly she was really quiet in this one. Seemed to be loving the view. The quality of this looks really top notch. I love the 3D mesh and it was perfect for cooling these last few hot days.Everything seems to be stitched really well, it’s lightweight and comfortable to wear as there’s loads of padding. It has a good amount of back support too. It’s designed so the baby can face both inwards and out, but my niece was more suited to facing inwards for her size.As she grows i'd expect she’d be better suited facing outwards.I wouldn’t say it’s recommended for new-borns as advertised, defiantly more suited to older/larger babies. And finally the colour is amazing, lovely silver.

So far I have nothing bad to say about this product. I did the research before purchasing and have gone through other carriers with other children. This carrier ticks all the boxes so far. Light weight, breaths well. More importantly, and one of the reasons I selected this carrier, is that once you put on the belt and pick up the child all the clasps and adjustment is done from the front, no twisting round while holding a child to adjust straps or lock clips. It can be resized to fit male and female shapes very easily and very quickly, making it easy for carriers to be changed mid activity and size adjustment for the child is also very easy.As it's winter at the moment the little-un is wearing snow and winter suits and she nods off as soon as she's in it.The seat adjustment and gussets for smaller/younger children and their shorter legs works really well too.

The mesh style of this baby carrier makes it perfect for a warm climate or for holidays as it helps keep baby cool. It is also machine washable which is great as our little one is a bit sicky. The carrier is nice and light and feels comfortable to wear. My little one also seems quite happy in it and sleeps whenever we go for walks. It is hip displaysia certified which is reassuring and why I would always go for a more expensive branded carrier such as this as opposed to a cheaper non branded one.It has 4 carrying positions: new-born, baby facing-in, baby facing-out and back carrying. These are all well detailed in the instruction manual and it is fairly easy to operate. It is suitable from 0-3 years (3.5-15 kg).It is well designed and ticks all the boxes but it is a very expensive carrier.

Baby hasn’t arrived yet, so this is just a review on the product, not on its actual handling of the child, once it has been used, I will update the review. On opening the box, everything seemed neatly packed, and the instructions were easy to read. The material, has tiny holes in it, like a mesh, which allow the carrier to breathe, cutting down on moisture, and making it more comfortable to wear, both for baby and parent. The fact that it is machine washable, is also a bonus. The shoulder straps and waist band are very padded and comfortable to wear, but obviously haven’t tried with a load on yet, the stitching throughout looks very good, it looks well made. Also the fact you can face baby in or out,or have baby on your back when older, is a plus.Looking forward to using it.

Genuinely love my Babybjorn. I was never jealous of my fiancée carrying our child while pregnant. Seeing how hard it was actually made me realise how easy men have it. However, as soon as I tried the Babybjorn I felt a whole new degree of connection to my daughter. She loves being in it, and I feel really close to her. We have an obnoxiously large a Bugaboo pray that’s great for taking her places but it’s so fast and convenient to use the Babybjorn I find myself using this a lot both at home and going places. A friend gave us an original version that’s fine but, you can see and feel the improvements made on this latest model. Maybe your kid won’t like it as much as ours. Maybe it won’t be as comfy for you but,I find myself recommending this to all other new parents. Love it.

This is a brilliant carrier. I bought this after trying two others, one of which was the ergobaby 360, which is meant to be great. I found that the other two felt like the were permanently on verge of slipping off my shoulders and the load never felt evenly distributed across my back. No matter how much I tried to adjust either, they just didn’t feel right. This carrier feels so much more comfortable, the load sits evenly on me and my wife with very little adjustment. It’s also so easy to put on get baby into by oneself, which is probably the most important thing. I really love it.Just one star knocked off for the price. Bearing in mind it’s physically very similar to a backpack, with a few more straps and a little more fabric, the price just isn’t justified.

We didn't buy a carrier for our daughter before she was born but because she likes being sat upright so much we thought it would be worth it. We went for this and haven't been disappointed. We have used this to settle our daughter when she gets agitated and it works a treat. We have also used it on long walks. She is comfortable and its comfortable to wear for the parent. Our baby isn't the smallest even at 9 weeks so I think the support that this carrier offers is fantastic. I'm 6f 5" and so wanted a carrier that would provide me the best fit and the straps tailor the support to my height perfectly.Would certainly recommend if you have a baby who likes being upright and looking around a lot.
