I’ve been carrying in slings and carriers for 2 years now and definitely come across a few problems with other brands as he grows up – with the sling it was fantastic until 12 months but then he could get his arms out so I couldn’t back carry safely and the Babybjorn carrier I was using created problems back carrying because I’m still breastfeeding which was incredibly uncomfortable where the straps came into contact with the chest and using the chest strap. It also had issues with making sure his legs were in the correct position. This one has definitely taken some getting used to but it’s very comfortable and there’s so many different ways to customise it so that you can get the perfect fit for you and your child.I love that this one isn’t just a front/back carrier but also suited to hip carrying. If you do go for this one, get a doll/teddy and practice with it or stand next to the bed but I also found having a mirror to see what I was doing helped a lot. The instructions are picture based and not always the easiest to follow so I found the Ergobaby YouTube channel videos really helped go through it step by step. I like that there’s a lot of mesh around babies back because in hot weather it can get a bit sweaty. With this one though there is nothing between you and baby so if you get sweaty then so will they. I love that this one has a hood to keep baby dry but it’s not very usable while back carrying as you can’t see them to ensure it’s safe. Back carrying at 2, he is obviously getting heavy but I can still go walking up hills etc for a good few hours while he enjoys a bit of a nap in it although the shoulder straps may not be the comfiest thing to lie on but they are well padded. I’ve found that every time I’ve put him in it, his legs are in the correct M position so we’re not having spend time adjusting the carrier each time he gets into it (and now he’s walking he’s in and out of it a lot). I like that it comes with a detachable pouch but they’ve forgot about us back carriers who wouldn’t want to have valuables on our backs as the pouch doesn’t fit on the front of the waistbelt. I then have to put it either on the strap at my hip which isn’t a great fit or over the chest strap which covers the clip – if only the Velcro flap wasn’t so wide and it could have attached to the centre of the lumbar waistbelt. Is it worth the money? Considering I paid around £50 for the sling which I had to stop using at 1 year, I’d definitely say so as I’ll be using this one up until he’s age 4/45lbs – I do wish I’d had this one much sooner to really get the most out of it from newborn to age 4. It has definitely worked for us and makes life a lot easier than worrying about where we can take a buggy.

Wow - this really is the Rolls Royce of baby carriers. The thought that has gone into the design is superb - aimed at making it both ergonomically sound (supporting baby and your back) and totally practical for the needs of both the growing child and the parents. It is comfortable for parent and child - and supremely versatile, so that it can suit everyone's needs and preferences. So baby can be in front or behind, and can either face forward, which is great for seeing what's going on when out and about, or face towards the adult, which is great when cuddles and sleepy times are needed. My 6 month old granddaughter loves being snuggled up to mum or dad - she is sleeping much better as a resultof that extra time of closeness - and she's an absolute bundle of joy when she is being carried around at adult height and able to see what's going on. It took a bit of faffing to work out the right technique for getting her in and secured, and also for getting her out - but once mastered, it is a quick and easy process.. Her parents are absolutely thrilled with the carrier and both say it is something they would definitely have considered buying (had they not road tested this one) because, although it's expensive, this is not something that will last for only a few months - it will be in use for a couple of years with each child, and the quality is such that it will last for years, so it is an investment that ends up being cost effective in the long run.

Many a new parent may be wondering whether to get an Ergobaby or BabyBjorn carrier. I have tried both, and unfortunately - or fortunately, depending on how you look at it - there is no clear winner. Both are solidly made, washable, breathable and comfortable to wear. Both take a degree of getting used to - finding the best ways to get the baby in and out, the best way to adjust it while it is on - but after three or four uses you start doing it without thinking. The differentiator between is that the BabyBjorn One is better for younger babies, in my opinion - by which I mean 0-9 months. I find the Ergobaby swamps a newborn, whereas with the BabyBjorn it is easier to see their head.At 9-18 months,I find little difference betweem either carrier, but from 18 months onwards, when babies are getting heavier, I find the shoulder and waist straps on the Ergobaby offer more support than the BabyBjorn One. The BabyBjorn One claims it will work with kids of up to three years, but I really found that I could not use it beyond 18 months, once my child was about 24lb. My child is now nearly 2 and I am using the ErgoBaby. Not sure how I would feel about having a 45lbs child in it (which is what Ergobaby says it will take), but I think it definitely outlasts the BabyBjorn.

This baby carrier is lovely- good to look at and comfortable on the back, with good waist and shoulder straps, which distribute the weight well. However, there are a few drawbacks. Firstly, the material is a bit scratchy for baby's head, so take a muslin along to protect the head. Secondly, the sling is very expensive for what it is. I have used a baby Bjorn for my first babies and these are perfectly adequate and comfortable, particularly the more expensive and newer models. You can easily breastfeed whilst carrying baby and the newer versions are comfortable to wear for long periods. These models are much cheaper than the Ergobaby sling, especially on the current offers on Amazon.I have also tried pieces of cloth, which can be used by wrapping the cloth in complicated knots to hold baby. These are very lovely to wear and comfortable for baby, but not easy to take on and off so I gave up, despite the many benefits.Overall I'm not sure if the benefits of this sling (comfort for the person carrying, attractive design) are worth the extra cost. Perhaps instead get a baby Bjorn or similar plus one of the yoga cloths, for times when you have an extra pair of hands to help.

Having used pretty much every type of carrier going I have always gotten on well with ergobaby. From the ergonomic point of view (for parent and baby) is works well and carries your child in a hip neutral position regardless of the way round your baby is facing. I see what others say about the fabric and think that a previous non cool air version is definitely softer hence dropping a star - also and this may be less relevant but I feel you have a small frame as I do you may find the straps don’t sit quite as well on this model. It’s a good idea I think to try to attend a slim library to try out before you buy as it is a large outgoing however honestly one of the most comfortable to carry especially larger babies for longer periods of time, especially for men (larger frame)I think the belt support makes a big difference to reducing the strain on your back overall. The cool air idea is better for you and baby but I have to confess I found the normal ergobaby a better fit.

This carrier is pretty easy to use even not using the instructions - there are 3 coloured velcro patches on each side of the belt for different weight babies. I am trying this with our 1.5 year old so using the biggest setting. I find getting her in and out of these types of carriers near on impossible without laying her on the carrier on the sofa or bed but had a lot more success with this one, I even got her in the carrier, on my back, ON MY OWN! Okay so getting her out we had to resort to the sofa method but that's precautionary more than anything. There are however two big drawbacks to this carrier - 1) the price tag (there's no way I could justify spending c.£150 on this unless I knew I was going to use it ALL the time),and 2) the fabric - its so rough and scratchy which is a real shame! Thankfully our toddler is tall enough in the carrier that her face isn't rubbing against this abrasive fabric but if she were a newborn I'd have to adapt it somehow.

This is my first ergobaby carrier and I really like it. It is lightweight and comfortable and can be worn with baby in various positions. The best things about it are the bum bag at the front (never thought I would say that!) but ideal if going on a short journey ie school run and you just need to take a purse not a full change bag.The rain hood is also amazing! I got caught in a sudden downpour and it saved baby getting wet.The negatives : it is very fiddly compared to another leading brand of carrier. Lots of straps and stringy bits hanging down. I don’t find it that easy to put on or get baby into.I also don’t find it that easy to adjust baby on the go.I had her at “kissing” height as recommended but over a few days the straps have pulled and loosened and it is hard to readjust them whilst walking. My other carrier you can just tug and it is done. That said, baby does seem more comfy in this than my other one and is now our main mode of travel.

A fantastic carrier, our preferred option over the otherwise very good Baby Bjorn we had originally. We've now given our adult daughter these and another Ergobaby for her new one. She says this is the most comfortable carrier she's tried and even took the baby to see Blackburn play in the Championship!Rosy finds, and we agree, that the fit is very easy to personalise and that once on, everything feels super secure. You can walk very long distances with this carrier. My partner regularly hiked in our slightly older version with our son up to three years old.The one challenge is that it can be hard to put on when on your own. There's a clip that just feels out of reach when you have a balancing baby.My partner can do it but Rosy struggles. I would also say that for whatever reason, possibly the hip-belt arrangement, this carrier seems especially suited to those with smaller waists and wider hips.

I like the idea of this carrier but the cost concerns me. It’s also not as great as you think. There’s some not-so-soft edges near the baby’s face and you have to be careful – maybe even pop in some home-made padding. I’ve also reviewed the 3 position carrier which I thought was better made and more comfortable. From a comfort (for the user) point of view it’s pretty good. You can carry the baby around for quite some time, but like any load you carry, there’s a comes a point where you start to ache. Most times it will be used on your front but you can “back-pack” it if you want to. The product details say “Baby carry positions: front facing you, front facing out, hip and back” though the back position was awkward.I love the fact that you can carry a child up to 45 lbs in weight. What?! What sort of child is that to carry? I can’t even imagine it. (“Keep still Toby. We’re going up Ben Nevis now”).

Love it! Really supportive for the babe and looks super comfy. so happy with my purchase fits great and looks fab! I love the ease of getting it on and off. Also quiet when you need to put the baby in the crib without waking them up. Went for khaki green for a change to black and so glad I did it’s nice and neutral. The mesh sections are fab too as I get quite hot walking around. Also the hood in the pocket is amazing and tucks back in nicely with a zip. I think the bag attached is a nice idea however it’s a bit tricky to find the zip as it’s just below the baby’s bottom so you cant really see what you’re doing. Can’t wait to try the back and hip positions when he’s a bit bigger!

I tried many carriers and my baby only liked the Ergobaby but I had an old original which I bought second hand that wasn't outward facing. With this I can have her facing outwards or inwards which she loves. Switching between the two is super easy. Recently used this carrier on holiday and it was a life saver for when baby was fussy or if I needed to pop out but not take the whole stroller with me. We're both comfortable with the carrier. I love that it's mesh since we live in a hot climate a breeze should keep her body cooler. Wish I had bought this from day one and not bothered with the other ones I had. Plan on using it for all my future babies!

Some things make life easier and better - this is an item that has made my life easier - actually improved it by quite a margin actually as I can now go to the supermarket with a fighting chance of doing some shopping. Easy to put on, quite secure, subtle colour so I don't feel like a children's tv presenter whilst wearing it. Does not put too much pressure on the lower back - quite easy to adjust, appears suitable for most weathers and it does put the baby in a good position to observe the world (or at least your local supermarket). This is great - I wonder if I can take the little one out to the pub now...

It's the best baby carrier! When our baby was born we bought the Original Ergobaby with the Insert. We did not like the material and at the first wash the color faded and retained lint. My wife also started to feel pain in the back with the Original model, because it does not have support in the lumbar. When the summer arrived the Ergobaby Original began to warm our daughter who was sweating. We decided to change for the Ergobaby 360 ° Cool Air. We just loved it! The quality is much bigger, it is more comfortable for our baby and for the parents, it has support in the lumbar and it allows ventilation.

We tried all sorts of carriers for our son and he just refused to sit in the wraps, or the baby slings and even the predecessor of this version. We gave up looking for a carrier that our son would be comfortable in. When they released a mesh version of the omni 360, we took a chance and ordered this and have had found this to be the best! Finally we are able to carry our son around in a carrier that he feels comfortable in. Easy to put on, and remove, pack away, travel with. Love the colour too. It’s comfortbale for the us and the our son. Winner!

I bought this for my grandson - well his mummy's use really. She rarely uses the buggy now, as she loves the freedom of him being strapped to her, but having her hands free to shop, and not bashing into everyone when out and about. Expensive, but well worth the money after several weeks of use. Oh...and there is a little zip on the sling which she thought she would keep her mobile phone in while they were out. When she unzipped it, she found a rain cover for Finley! Brilliant addition which we hadn't read about before buying.
