This is my second ErgoBaby carrier. I had the older style and wanted the 360 version. I do love the Ergo design which supports bub's bottom like a seat rather than hanging from the crotch. Switching from front-facing to back-facing is so simple with the buttons. If you're buying one for the first time, my first little tip would be to always loosen the two side straps and the back strap before each use. It forces you to ensure it is fitted correctly, and it's easier to get the back clips together. Get this carrier on right, and you'll feel nothing; get it wrong and your shoulders and back will feel it pretty quickly. My second tip would be to remember what I consider to be the number 1 rule: always make sure the back strap is across the middle of your shoulder blades and never across your shoulders. I showed this to one of my friends and it changed her experience for the better immediately. There are a couple of downsides with the design which I just got used to: the velcro strap around the waist is just plain annoying. The old style had a double clip and was so much better - doesn't wake your baby up and doesn't stick to your clothes! The other downside for me is the dribble issue when bub is facing forwards. I bought the very over-priced cover but because it isn't water-proof on the underside, the dribble goes straight through ... which kind of defeats the purpose. You'd be better off tucking a cloth wipe over the front.

After hearing from many friends about how wonderful their Ergobaby Original carriers were, and after lots of shoulder pain with our BabyBjorn Active, I took the plunge and bought the 360.It is possibly the best purchase of baby-related equipment we've made. The one thing holding me back from getting an Ergobaby was the lack of a forward-facing option, which my son absolutely loves and is now very accustomed to. But honestly, I enjoy having him facing toward me, too, and he doesn't mind as much, since he can see around much better than he could in the BabyBjorn. He is also obviously much more comfortable. And wow - after feeling the pain in our shoulders and backs after carrying our son for any substantial period in the BabyBjorn, switching to the Ergobaby is like a revelation. If he's on my back, I can hardly feel the weight at all. Since the weight is distributed to the wearer's hips, it's no worse than carrying a backpack. We don't even bother bringing our stroller along anymore on day trips, and I'm honestly wondering when we're ever going to use it again. The straps are a little fiddly at first, and it's not quite as easy to use as the BabyBjorn, but I quickly got used to it. Plus, one of the buckles kept popping out on our BabyBjorn, and that just isn't an option with the Ergobaby. Our son is much more secure, and he loves being in it.

I have had two previous slings (baby Bjorn and a baby way) and could never understand how anyone could be comfortable carrying a baby in a sling. This one is so different. I didn't have any pulling on my neck or back and my baby could be comfortable faced out to look at the world or in for a cuddle. He's now 10 months and we've used the ergobaby almost every day. It's incredibly easy to put on and adjust without anyone to help and there are YouTube videos that explain all of the positions really well (the info booklet is a little hard to decipher when you have a baby screaming at you!)I've seen negative comments about the Velcro on the waistband and I honestly don't understand why.If your baby is asleep it's so easy to undo the sling without taking it completely off to put them down and I feel the Velcro strap feels really secure when carrying my son around, whilst placing most of his weight on my hips rather than my upper back. All in all this is a great sling to have comfortable, versatile and my son is now so attached to it he gets excited when I put in on, he knows it's time for an adventure!

I used to have the babybjorn miracle baby carrier but as my baby got bigger he would hate being in it and it would hurt my back after five minutes of use. My baby has reflux so a baby carrier or sling for a reflux baby really is a must because the baby's love being upright and close. After reading reviews I bought the ergobaby, I must admit I was a little sceptical because I thought I was just wasting my money again. However, my baby seems much happier in this and now can be carried in this without crying. The most he has spent in it so far is 45 minutes but it is much better. The velcro is pretty loud and when my baby is tired it does set him off so that could probably be improved. The clip at the back is a little tricky if you are on your own but when I am wearing it round the house I just leave it unclipped. I did not have the old version so can't compare and can't commit on whether it's worth the extra money. I have only used it in one position which is facing outwards so can't comment on the other positions. Overall I would recommend this product.

I have wasted too much time on cheap fabric carriers such as a Mei tei and a shoulder pouch both costing about £20. My baby never particularly liked being in them and after about 30 mins of wearing my shoulders always hurt! The thing that made me look for something else was that my second baby only wanted to face forward and I knew the famous baby bjorn wasn't advisable for their hip position. So I bought the ergo 360, thinking how can paying this much more money make that much difference to the comfort pr quality of the carrier? I was so wrong, it is worth every single penny! It's like I am not wearing a baby at all, she is lighter in the ergo 360 than she felt when I was pregnant the weight distribution is just perfect!!It's a pull to fasten the back clip but I manage it. I can carry her for hours and hours, she loves being able to see the world from my perspective and I don't ache at all during or after carrying her all day. If you are in doubt, be assured this will be the best investment!!!

My baby loves being in this carrier. When she sees us get it out, she bounces with excitement. It's comfortable for her and for me to. It spreads her weight very well. The tucked away sun and sleep shade is very handy and really well hidden when not in use. Its also great that you can get get baby on your back from 6 months, unlike some of the others, which need to be a year old.Sometimes it feels like it's slipping off your shoulders which is annoying and I didn't get that with the others I've tried but the other benefits outweighed this problem. It would be lovely if it came with some sort of carapaces or way to fold up (like the Babybjorn One).I use this when travelling and it would be good to pack away easily. But my baby loves it and it's the healthiest position she can be in for her growth and development. So that's why it gets 5 stars. My chiropractor recommended this brand to me. It's the best.

We purchased this as we often visit towns and other places where using a buggy is impractical. My husband loves it, finds it comfortable and supportive, can carry our son (now 10 months old and over 20lbs in weight) all day in it. Our son will happily sleep in it and enjoys going in it (he gets excited when he sees Daddy putting it on). It's ideal for allowing our son to face out and see the world (such as a trip to an aquarium) but also to cuddle him facing in when tired (he inevitably falls asleep promptly). On me, I find the should straps quit wide and I never feel they sit quite right somehow, but I am top heavy so it could be a fit problem with myself rather than the carrier. The colours are lovely, the hood is neatly tucked away but handy if baby is sleeping. Overall I would recommend this carrier, and feel it was one of our best purchases for baby.

I bought this when my wrap-type sling became too unsafe and uncomfortable. I love it, so does my 6 month old daughter. The easily-adjustable seat means that she is comfortable facing forward and inward. I've noticed how other similar carriers let the baby's legs dangle but this offers the correct support they need at the hips. My two irks are that the back strap can be difficult to adjust/release as it's just at that awkward point between your shoulder blades. It's also a lot more difficult to get into the back-carrying position than I expected. You need to have the waist belt done up quite snug to spread the baby's weight properly, which makes it difficult to move the baby and sling around to the back.Maybe there's a knack to it and I just haven't got it yet. In any case, I can walk for miles now and my feet ache, but not my shoulders or back.

This baby carrier is good when they are little and big. Although it can be uncomfortable on your under arms if wearing a vest top and can rub against your skin making it sore. When your baby's bigger it can support their weight but after a while it did start to hurt my back. This could be because shes heavier now or it could be the carrier needs more support, it's hard to tell. It can be used where ever you need to go and is handy if your little one needs a nap and you want to get on with the housework! So it is a good buy just be prepared to layer up a little to cover your skin where the straps will be.I have only used this a few times so it doesn't seem worth buying such an expensive carrier but if your going to use it all the time than it would be more cost effective.

Great support for baby, my son loves facing outwards. When he was younger it was the only place I could get him to nap (facing inwards). Never used a newborn insert so cannot review that aspect. My only issue is there appears to be a slight asymmetry with mine in the seat/leg support, so sometimes my son's legs don't sit at exactly the same angle. It doesn't pose any risk of injury to him but when he was younger and before I realised it was the carrier I thought he had one leg longer than the other! It was after the return period or I would have returned it. However I am assuming that this is an isolated incident which is why I'm giving four stars.

After researching a lot of different baby carriers I decided to take the plunge and get this one. Although more expensive than other baby carriers you get what you pay for and the quality is great. My baby seems very happy in this and it is comfy to wear. The weight is evenly distributed and the waist belt feels sturdy. It has a variety of different ways that you can carry your baby (haven't quite worked out the side/hip method) but the front and back are easy enough. There is a decent weight limit on this too which our first baby carrier only lasted a few weeks and we had to look for another. Very happy with this.

Brilliant carrier. Very comfortable. We had a Baby Bjorn to start with but, from about the age of 3 months, it started to really hurt my lower back as the weight wasn't evenly distributed (too much on the shoulders). No problems at all with this Ergobaby carrier, as most of the weight is on the hips. My baby is now 6 months old (7.8kg) and it's still super comfortable and I can see it remaining just as comfortable until she is much heavier. I even managed to carry my baby on a flight from Australia to the UK on my own with it and my baby took good naps in it (the shade cover is invaluable!). Worth the money!

I've been using this carrier since my baby was two weeks old and it's great. Other carriers made me nervous with her being so tiny but the infant insert kept her in place perfectly and I never questioned her safety. You DO obviously have to make sure your baby is in the correct position (Google baby wearing TICKS) so check on them often. She's now 9 weeks old and 13lb but we are still using the insert pillow but not the wrap (in the leaflet it says 12lb or 4 months, a very odd combo as they are clearly not one and the same) because without the pillow she sits far too low and it isn't safe despite her weight.

Love my new Ergo 360. I have a bad back and painful pelvis following pregnancy. I have previously used a Baby Bjorn which I found put a lot of strain on my back and shoulders. The Ergo 360 doesn't give me any of these problems, I can easily carry my baby without strain or pain.I was concerned that it would be a faff to put on but after a couple of times it's really easy. I like that there are four positions so it'll will last us for a few years. My baby seems really comfy in it and I particularly like the hood bit for when she's sleeping or it's sunny. All in all a really good purchase!

We have both a stretchy carrier and this one and the ergo baby is definitely the favourite of both me and my baby boy. It is easy to put on, comfortable and seems to be built to last. We used it with the newborn insert when my son was small and now use it without. My only criticism is that it can be a bit hot to wear in the summer, but I would expect this to be the case for most carriers to be honest, as their design means that the baby and parents bodies are touching when a carrier is in use.
