I love this shoe. Adidas purchased the climbing shoe brand called Five-Ten a few years ago specifically to get the "Stealth" rubber technology from Five-Ten. I am totally and profoundly perplexed that Adidas does not put this Stealth rubber on ALL of their outdoor shoes. So the next few sentences of my review are directed at the marketing / design team at Adidas. Seriously fire anyone in your company that resists putting Stealth rubber on your outdoor shoes. No one, and I mean NO ONE in the outdoor community cares about "Continental, Terrex, Ax2, adiPRENE, "Super High Traction", Traxxion, or any other BS marketing name/term you use for your shoes. It took me way too long to actually find an Adidas shoe that actually was straight in it's communication that Stealth was the rubber on the outsole. Anything but Stealth is garbage. I would prefer Stealth C4, but I will settle for regular Stealth Rubber. Now, to the actual review of the shoe. Great fit, great cushioning, Stealth Rubber, super comfortable, nice lug pattern, and the gray shoe with the orange trim looks great. I didn't actually like the style from the photos, but it looks really good on foot. Also, the heel folds down so you can slip them on like a sandal if using to belay at a climbing crag or just going to run a quick errand outside. I highly recommend this shoe.If an Adidas outdoor shoe does not say stealth rubber then don't buy it.

These shoes are awesome, I don't know why it took me so long to get a pair of approach shoes. I wanted a flat, sticky, and stiffer soled shoe for hiking, steep talus approaches, and slacklining and this shoe does a great job of accomplishing all 3 of those. The stealth rubber is great at sticking to rocks where other shoes wouldn't have a chance. The shoes also are just extremely comfortable to wear for long periods of time. My only disappointment is that I almost always fit perfectly into a size 10 and the size 10 that I ordered fits just large enough to bother me just a little bit but not large enough to where it was worth returning them for a smaller size. When it comes time to replace these though I am going to get a 9.5.I do wear these shoes with a superfeet blue insole and haven't had any problems with the insole interacting with the shoe at all, I don't know how the stock insoles compare to superfeet insoles but my guess is that if you are used to wearing insoles just stay with the ones you have and if you don't usually wear them you probably won't notice any difference.

I was looking to replace a pair of Vasque Rift approach shoes that are no longer made. While these **look** similar to the Vasque Rift, they are very different shoes. The Swift Solos are very flexible and very light weight. The toe cap and faux-leather toe has some reinforcement. The outsoles mark up light colored, polished floors, but are super grippy and use Stealth rubber. The uppers are a heavier duty, poly-lamenated mesh. Not super breathable, but not hot like a fully padded trail-runner either. There is little to no insole padding which reminds me of Vibrum Five-Fingers. The inside of the shoe is a stretch-neoprene style sock instead of a more common tongue. You definitely want to experiment with socks.Overall I hesitate to call these "approach shoes". They aren't bad but they lack some stiffness. They smear well. Really these are a minimalist trail shoe and I like them exactly for that. They also double as nice shoes for flat pedal MTB use. The outsoles grip pedal screws really well. So there are much better approach shoes out there. But these aren't bad all-arounders.

I bought these to use on my mtb through winter and so far after several rides I am very happy as not much air runs through them and they seem to take a splash of water OK so coupled up with waterproof socks or shoe covers when it really gets wet I am sure they will be fine. Grip on the platform pedals is also good.As far as sizing goes, I am a 7 with a narrow foot and when I first put them on they felt tight almost to the point where I thought they were going back for a half size bigger BUT i laced them to fit and wore them round the house for a few days and realised they are exactly the same size as my other Adidas trainers it's just the moulded toe box which feels compact because there isno give at all but I can push my toe to the front and still slide my little finger down the back just like my others. My advice is to measure your foot in CM (draw around it) and then match to the Adidas size chart for accuracy (Although a wider foot with a thick sock may want extra room)Very happy with this purchase.

I felt disappointment when opening the box and seeing that the shoe I ordered was not the one I was shipped. I received Glow/black. Upon further inspection, I see that someone, somewhere, put another label over the original Adidas label with another description on it. No idea how this happened, so I will reserve judgement. However, now that I know this happened and I see other reviews about "wrong color", it makes me leery to order this again with hopes I actually get the color scheme I want and what is represented in the picture. The shoe itself is beyond expectation with finish and potential durability.Haha, just an update that I ended up keeping these because even though the color was way off,my wife and kids all thought they were the coolest color and worth keeping. In all honesty, these shoes feel like they could last 10 years of abuse. Definitely the most solid shoe Adidas has put out.

I was looking for a trail running shoes. Due to my weight (I guess) and the fact that I walk a lot and I wear one pair of shoes everyday until they die, normal running shoes don't last long with me. I found that trail running shoes provide the perfect balance between comfort and durability. However, once I tried this pair it fitted my foot perfectly, I loved them. The sole isn't as flexible as I am used to, I am not sure if they will perform if I take them to a run, but for walking in the city they are very comfy so far.The build quality is exceptional, even for an Adidas.I had to go a full size up (from 10.5 to 11.5) from my previous Adidas.I find the chinese made Adidas to be half a size smaller than the Indonesian made !!I may update the review after I put on a few miles on them, but I am optimistic they will be just fine.

Love these shoes. Moved to the desert last fall, and completely tore up a brand new pair of fancy running shoes climbing around the sandstone of Red Rock Canyon and similar environs. Decided to look at rock climbing approach shoes, since they are made to handle that type of rock scrambling, and these bad boys are perfect. They look amazing, which helps. But the soles are giant and sticky and I imagine they'll be very hard to damage. No wear at all after my first few hiking/scrambling trips on the rocks. And, given the flat, relatively hard sole, I've found these to be great shoes to wear at the gym for weight lifting and stationary bike riding. So it turns out I'm wearing these way more than my new pair of fancy running shoes. Will definitely be buying these again someday, but I'm guessing that'll be a long way down the road.

one of the best pairs of sneakers/shoes i have ever bought. they are so comfortable even after hours of walking. i am planning to buy another pair in the same color so i have another pair when my current ones wear out. these are somewhat minimalist in feel - not loads of cushion, which is the feel i prefer.a note to my fellow Adidas wearers - these fit just like any other non-Adidas sneaker you would buy. Adidas have a rep for having to go up a half or whole size when buying them. for me, i went up a half size as usual when buying these and they were too big. so my advice is to buy your regular shoe size and not go up a size. if it helps, i wear an 11 usually.i wear the Adidas Tivid in an 11.5 and i wear the Kanadia 8 in a size 12. that might give perspective.

Go 1-1.5 sizes up. Rubber soles, if like me you wear trainers daily don't appear will last too long, quite thin, but the rubber used is harder than normal so we shall see. These will be used as gym shoes so I will get extended use as compared to daily walkers. Very comfortable, though quite rigid new. Look great. Weak spot appears to be the front where the sole meets the rest of the shoe. I will update as time goes on.Had a different terrex pair previously, gortex model and was very pleased. If this model is like previous in terms of construction I will be very happy.

I'm a roofer and bought these to maneuver steep slopes. The rubber is not as soft and sticky as expected. But that means the soles will last longer than the evol shoes I had before. There is a lot of support and structure to the shoes all around. The only drawback to breaking them in was the very stiff tongue at the top. It is almost too stiff and leaves a pain in the front of the ankle after the first two days. After that, they seem to be fine. They definitely look great though.

I bought these shoes as a pair that I could specifically go MTB riding with and do some walks... well I can only say that the rubber is ultra grippy and the tread pattern is perfect for gripping flat pedals. This said, given the tackiness of the rubber sole, I presume that under normal walking use, the sole will wear quickly. Shoe is definitely small fitting, I am usually a 43 ( 43 1/3 in Adidas) and I got this shoe in 44 and it's perfect!...

These are the comfiest outdoor trainers I have ever owned.. from the moment I first put them on they have been perfect. Normally I find trainers can take a few days to feel right but I honestly had none of that with these.. they are so good that I am now ordering a pair of the updated solo swifts as a backup but I do prefer the looks of these.. I have changed the laces to a toggle tie for quickness.

Well made and durable. I have flat feet and the shoes fit great. I used them for a 2 mile mountain hike. Walking up hill and down hill my toes and heels felt fine. My feet were secure inside the shoe with little movement. Climbing was easy, grip was great. After the hike I removed my shoes and had very little sand and dust on my socks.I will defenitly buy them again.

Unlike some reviews I found the sizing on there to be just right. I actually tried to cancel the order after reading some reviews and wasn't able to thankfully because these shoes are great. Comfortable and I think they look good too. Haven't tested out the water resistance of them yet but I will be doing that as soon as possible. All in all I'm very happy with them.

So good that when my first pair wore out bought another pair to replace them. Word of advice I usually wear a size 9 but in adidas find i need a 9.5. Great shoe and really comfortable and far more hard wearing than a normal training shoe, ideal allround activity shoe, have worn them in all weather conditions, mainly walking the dog, not had wet feet yet.
