I ordered mine back in may 2016 for £175 which is a good price as elsewhere they were £230 at the time. Unfortunately before mine even arrived it dropped to £156 and as Amazon wouldn't offer a partial refund I returned it so my review is based on a very brief ownership.Quality felt 10/10. At 1.7m it was long enough to loop through a ground anchor and through a small 125 Honda CBF motorbike frame. Lock cover felt a little plastic and will definitely get very scratched from use but workings inside were very heavy duty and offered a high security rating. Sheath on chain was heavy duty and protects against marking paint etc.

Paid a lot of money for this because I wanted the best. The chain is long enough to wrap around the front wheel/forks, while the lock itself is very smooth and lies snugly against the wheel rim without knocking it. Whole thing feels extremely robust, solid and secure -- the two keys (one with light) turn smoothly and positively in the mechanism, and hopefully should prove reliable over time. Definitely money well spent . . .Only drawback with this lock is the weight: in my opinion, it is too heavy to be easily portable and seems best used to secure the bike at regular locations such as home or work.So, unless you have substantial luggage fitted,

A good chain... as we all know if a thief wants to nick our pride & joy they will take it... I wanted a chain to carry touring, and this fit the task, it's around 4-5kg but it will fit into my topbox... it's a good enough deterrent along with a couple of disc locks... its strong & suitable... I would recommend this but would suggest adding extra security such as disc locks etc... I'm feeling confident this will help deter some of the scum bags.

Excellent. Very robust, easy to use and a great price for this. The longer chain works well as it goes through the wheel twice and this enables the chain and lock to be kept off the ground (better for resisting attacks). I use it with a concreted in ground anchor and have high confidence in the bike still being in the garage when I go to it.

This is a very good bit of kit and I do believe you get what you pay for. I know the rats will take your bike if they really want it. But with the and some other devices hopefully they will pick on the next guy. If your the next guy you would do well to have an Abus Granite

I am using this Abus chain to secure my new motorcycle to a data tool ground anchor now i can relax when i am away from my house....really pleased with the quality of this Chain,,

So far so good, accepted by insurance company bought a zipped bag as well to carry it for use at journeys end. Light in one of the keys is a novelty but has been useful.

Determined thieves will find a way but they would need some good equipment to break this lock! Too heavy to carry around but provides re-assuring security at home.

I have always chosen Abus products this is a superior quality chain, super tough and extremely heavy therefore it doesn't lend itself to being carried,

more for home security of the bike as the integrated padlock and chain are heavy, expensive but what price peace of mind.

7kg of German Steel. Hopefully it'll work better that the last one (Abus Granit) which the thieves ground through easily.

A seriously heavy chain feels solid and secure. Nice feature that the chain doesn't full out of the lock once unlocked.

Can improve by reducing the weight as it is very cumbersome to lock but I guess that is the price for security.

Excellent quality. Really well made. The lock is very nicely secured against weather conditions.
