Although the lock itself is of grt quality , the lanyard that links to the brake lever is of proportions less then it's needs do suit.It does no justice to the disc lock and is too short to reach lever, plus a flimsy clip that attaches to the lock , is alike the strength of the metal used for carbonated drinks.The pros of this lock however , are the fact that it is rechargable and comes with its own tools to access the battery/alarm unit.The alarm has different chirps , two for when disabled and locked closed for storage and a single chirp for when active.When lock is placed on disc ,it give a single loud tone ,to let you know it is active.When alarm is triggered it gives off quite a ear blast

Bought the Oxford XA5 Disc Lock and it works well on a Vespa GTV300 (Sei Giorni)The reminder tether cable is a bit short (but still reaches) for a scooter as the handlebars are a lot higher than 'normal' sports bikes.You can just purchase another cable and loop the two together.Alarm is loud enough to be heard within 25m and/or 15m with a few lightly insulated walls and no other background noise.The lock is best placed between arm and suspension on the disc rotor to slow down any 'tampering'.All Oxford Disc lock keys are blue, so you'll have to mark them if you have other locks like the XA6/XA14.Good lock/deterrent which'll hopefully do it's job... touch wood/fingers crossed.

So far so good!Took me a moment or two to figure out how to transport the lock without the alarm activating (leave the key in the lock for about five seconds when locking so that it doesnt sound the “arming” bleep).Fitted this to a 2018 Vespa GTS and the cable is just long enough to reach from the lock to the handle bar.Pretty loud when it goes off, and doesn’t seem so sensitive that the slightest knock will trigger it and the rechargeable battery apparently on needs charging every six months!Initial signs are very positive.It doesn’t come with a case or holder, which is a shame as it can just roll around under my seat but certainly not a deal breaker.

Well made, very loud alarm and versatile due to it's small size, it will also lock onto my rear sprocket which would be harder for a thief to get at, it probably isn't super strong but I dont think that is the point of it, really best to use it while you do a bit of shopping or pop into your local town, that's what I use it for. And it fits easily in a cubby hole under a bike seat or in a jacket pocket, this is the benchmark inexpensive disc lock so dont bother with anything cheaper,and most are priced well under the MRP anyway.

Needed a small disc lock for a scooter as the pin size on normal disc locks is too big for the holes in a scooter disc. This little lock punches out a massive alarm when disturbed. Advantage over others, is that you can choose whether to arm or not, meaning when not in use, you don’t need to leave the key in. It is also handy that the battery is rechargeable via a usb lead.

You can’t miss the alarm when it goes off! A bit sensitive when unlocking , but it’s overall ease of use means it is an added deterrent to would be thieves. I like the fact that it can be recharged and this is easily down by accessing the beaters with a hex key.

Perfect deterant for my mtb. Well made, weighty and loud. Along with another alarm/light and the ABUS BORDO folding lock i feel confident enough to leave my bike secured anywhere within sight. *Please note * these locks do NOT have a "sold secure" rating.

Does the job but not as sensitive as I would have hoped for. Videos show simple wind triggering, nah.... It needs a good tussle on the wheel/handlebars.4 weeks later.... I can pass wind close by and it goes off now ?

Up to now it has been working as expected. I like the way it is not too sensible. You have to really move it or push it hard or touch it to trigger the alarm. It is the smallest I have purchased after getting 2 more.

Really easy to fit to scooter disc, makes an awfully loud (in a good way) scream when bumped. don’t forget to use a reminder cable incase you forget to take off before riding!

Perfect fit for Peugeot Speedfight disc brake, easy to use, compact and gives off 110dbl alarm. Well worth the investment to deter would be theives!

Fits a PX disc no probs.Also fits between the swing arm & shock.Solid lock and only takes a couple of hours to fully charge from flat..

Thankfully haven’t had to use it too much but fits and works well. I would recommend this alarm to an scooter rider with a disc break.

Good product, very loud, does what it’s supposed to do. But the instructions are sh1t! They literally tell you nothing!
