I bought this to replace the "normal" disc lock. And am I glad I did.This unit feels solid in hand and in build quality. Great addition of the mounting bracket a well, so you don't have to fill the pokets with.Thatcham approved is a bonous too.However, do not expext to fit this in the small holes of the brake disc as it won't (14mm thick) but I found it works best on the rear sprocket and chain.( It will also lock two links of the security chain)So if you want a solid lock then, don't think too much; just buy it (providing you know where you are going to use it).My opinion: Brilliant piece of kit.

Excellent lock- good materials, design and construction, provides a highly visible deterrent and a good level of security. Can be used on it's own as a disc lock, or can be used with a chain as well if you prefer. Came with a bike mounting bracket and a reminder cord, and 3 keys. Replacement keys are available. Take all this into account and add the fact that it was substantially below normal price, and it's an absolute winner. And as an added bonus it carries the "sold secure" tag, which for motorcyclists should have a favourable effect on insurance premiums.

Somebody tried to steal my motorbike a couple of days ago and this lock was probably the only reason it's still here, they smashed the outer casing which is just plastic anyway and they had a good go at this luck but they couldn't get it off and I'll happily keep using the lock (I have bought another one though) couldn't recommend this enough is super strong, they tried to cut through the u-shackle(or whatever is real name is) and apart from ripping the rubber casing they didn't even get close. Brilliant lock, anyone looking at this should Definitely buy it.

No room anywhere for storing a lock on the bike. This is a neat and functional solution. Bolt the bracket almost anywhere at any angle and you have a good strong disc lock always to hand ON THE BIKE. I can also get the lock bar through the helmet ring. The lock fits (locked) onto the well designed bracket. No need to remove seat/side panel it is there! Highly recommend it.Good value at £25 from M&P. I haven't bothered using the warning lanyard, but it is supplied with the lock if you need it.

Brought for my cbf125 but was too big.. still given it 5 stars however as that was my own fault. I gave it to my partner for his mt700 and it fits perfectly.. Very strong lock and stands out enough to deter any potential thefts.Update.. my boyfriend's bike was almost stolen.. this lock didn't stop them unfortunately they sawed straight through it. (Pics attached). thankfully a neighbour caught the guys before they made it away with the bike.

Whilst nothing will deter a determined thief, we can try to make it more difficult.This does exactly that.I have 2 fitted to my bike, on the front and rear and it is my bit to make it less inviting to the casual thief. I never say never as we live in a country that doesn`t properly punish the scum that takes what it wants, so it is always a gamble that it might get taken but at least I made an effort.

Bought it to get a bit of money off my bike insurance.Not sure about the strength of it when put through its paces (my bike hasn't been burgled from me yet, thank goodness! ) it certainly looks sturdy, but it is probably more of a big yellow visual deterrent than anything else really, but better to have no robbery at all than an attempted one!

Bought this a while ago after buying my Zontes. I was going on some of the reviews saying how good it is. It seems well built. Tried fitting it today and gave up in the end. Not sure how to go about it and where to put it. Same with the bracket. Where are other people putting both of these ? Are they universal fit to every bike ?

Very visible, very solid. This lock would deter the opportunist thief. Only issue is with the reminder cable - the loops are very small and consequently barely fit around the lock or clutch lever. No problem for me as I have a spare from a previous disc lock. Overall - very please with my purchase.

I needed an easy to use security lock for my sthill tools. This lock fits the bill perfectly. Quick and easy to lock and unlock and with the high quality motor cycle chain secures these expensive bits of kit to an anchor bolt in the trailer. Peace of mind when out and about.

i read review about lock saying having problems unlocking the lock. First time i used it i had problem unlocking. realized i had not put key alway in to lock tried again a little bit tricky but ok. used for about 2 weeks now no problems and a good lock

Great value, doesnt fit all discs so if using for that be aware... it does fit mine however and noones getting away with the bike unless its carried (its a heavy bike).Coupled this with a decent anchor and a fat chain, max protection for decent money

This is a very substantial lock that will easily fit any disc, or chain. Having three keys and a holding plate for the bike are very useful additional features. The lock would deter all but the most aggressive thief equipped with an angle grinder.

Fits a MT-07 nicely, not too heavy and fits under seat. Got one for my sons YBR125 2012, the shackle is 16mm wide with the plastic on it, cut this off and it fits a YBR125 14mm shackle bare chrome, 16mm with sleeve on it. Nice lock bargain at £20

2nd one I had over the past few years good solid lock and bright to see .it make anyone trying to steal your pride and joy work a bit to cut through it.But would recommend buying bike alarm to back it up
