The professional reviews for this device are very positive & it seems to be a very strong, secure D-shackle. Hopefully it will never be put to the test in the real world & will prove itself to be enough of a visual deterrent & keep what's mine, mine - although I think that if it were coated in a hi-viz colour instead of black all over that could only help deter the thugs.... and if it also had an integral anti-tamper alarm fitted into it's innards similar to the Abus disc lock I'd have given it 7 stars...

This lock has earned its money, I used to use a chain on my scooter until it was bolt cut and the scooter stolen, bought the abus this time another theft attempt but this time they was foiled by the lock, ok they damaged the brake disc trying to bend it and it seems in a strop they smashed the wing mirror and the speedo glass but the bike survived so it’s paid for itself

The lock arrived earlier than the estimate provided.The D-lock lock is as described 3KG weight, delivered in a simple box.The D-lock feels very secure, reviewed test on locks to destruction videos prior to deciding on this lock over others.The D-lock is not cheap, factoring in the cost and hassle to replace my bike it is worth while.

Fits the front wheel (120/17 tyre) and so makes it easy to lock the bike securely. This lock is heavy and looks to be one of the most secure u-locks available. I also purchased a Givi M6M plate as this plate allows you to slide the lock through it so that you can carry it around.

I use this on the motorbike and pushbikes. Solid, not too heavy and gives protection against casual theft.This will not greatly deter the professional thief but it will require extra time and effort, so if the scumbag is lazy, they may hopefully move on to an easier target.

Very strong lock. Downside is the weight and as with all ulocks, you’ll be looking for how to lock your motorcycle with it, in a meaningful way. Even if they can’t cut through the lock, they can cut through parts of your motorcycle.Will update if a theft attempt happens.

very expensive but it gives me peace of mind that I can leave a very expensive bike anywhere.thats busy ...that doesn't mean be stupid and leave it in a very dark quite alley where no one will see someone with a petrol still saw or a professional bike theif ......

A great U lock, though it is rather heavy. Only negative point was that I had to remove the plastic coating on the shaft to make it fit into the carrier of my Givi rack as it was too thick to fit through the holes.

A heavy but still sturdy lock that gets the job done. I've had a similar Abus Granit U lock for year's and it has coped admirably with the British weather securing my motorcycle. Let's hope this one does too.

Heavy but feels strong. Fits through the yoke and disk brake so looks secure to the casual thief, if improvements are need the U lock could do with being bright in colour.

I like the feeling of security that this lock gives me. It is heavy but seems robust enough to deter all but the most determined thieves. Would highly recommend.
