The good news about this particular Wahl Micro Groomsman is that it is well worth the money spent. I'm glad I purchased it about a year ago, because it is still working! I'm a big user of these types of micro-trimmer type systems. I'm willing to go into a corner drugstore and purchase one for under ten bucks. These types of trimmers rarely last me past 4 months ... and even if they last me that long ... by that time, the flat blades are dull and unusable, needing replacements. If there's no 2nd blade in the package, I'll usually toss the unit because the base is ready to go too.This unit is very different. It is made with quality, and like I have already said, I've had this one for a year,

You can take it anywhere with ease. The heads are easy to install, remove and clean. Like that the trimmer is wet/dry. Cleans up in a snap. Just rinse under warm water.The trimmer head trims my sideburns and neck real close to the skin and I never have to worry about getting cut or nicked. The nose/ear hair attachment trims unwanted nose and ear hair with ease. Planning on trying to trim my eyebrows next with the attachment.It would be great to have a small case to put the trimmer and attachments in to prevent them from getting lost and more easy portability.

I have no idea how this product is not 5 stars. I have literally bought every personal trimmer on the planet and every one of them has disappointed me. I am a little unique in that the primary reason I am using it for it to just give my sideburns a quick buzz so I don't have to get a haircut every week. I don't like my greys so I like to keep the sideburns tight without fluffy greys.I also use it for my ear hairs, unibrow :), and nose hairs.This one has the power and strength to do it all where most of the trimmers I have purchase just feel and sound weak.Not this one! Even the sound of it instill confidence that I know I have a strong trimmer.Most of the other ones get stuck in my sideburns which just tells me that they are very weak.Thank you,

After a couple of weeks trying it out I've found it to be a capable little trimmer. It is very light weight and uses a single AAA battery. This leaves it a little weak on power, but one really wouldn't expect to use this type of a trimmer for anything but the lightest jobs. It worked great round the face - trimming beard edges and around ears and eyebrows with ease and without any pulling or tugging on the hair. Very painless trim. The nose hair attachment was not so effective, catching only the largest hairs and requiring follow-up with the regular trimmer. Material is light and it feels little unsubstantial, but in my time so far it has proven to be up to the job. Time will tell.

Unlike those trimmers that rotate, this one buzzes back and forth. It does not catch and pull the hairs (OUCH!). Eventually the attachment may get to the point that it is difficult or impossible to clean - maybe fouled with tiny hairs (but that will likely be after the 3 yr. warranty). Then just buy another. Great quality and well worth the price. Nicely engineered.Despite the outside packaging warning of a lithium battery, the trimmer comes without a battery. Easy though (if you follow the directions & drawing i.e. put on the indicated attachment so that you can pull the battery compartment open). It takes an AA battery. I LOVE this product (b/c I'm lousy at trimming ear hairs).

I would recommend this product. I give it a five star rating because it is lightweight and easy to carry around with you. It looks like an ink pen. It cuts hair thoroughly without cutting your skin. It’s a very powerful and cuts the first time. It’s also very quiet. The only thing I did not like about the product was that there is no instructions on the box or on the trimmer it’s self in reference to locating the batteries. Therefore, if you were to lose the instructions that are included in the box you would never locate the batteries. On the instructions them selves it does not say to lock the trimmer head before pulling down to separate it in order to get to the batteries.

Most of the electric trimmers I've used over the past 10 years or so have been inconsistent, easily jammed with hair, and pretty much a pain in the drain because of their weak motors. Such is not the case with the Wahl. It powers up first time, every time and right from the start you can hear and feel the increased RPMs of it small engine which is a very good thing.No jamming here as the whirring sound it makes provides confidence to the user. I'd estimate its speed as at least TWICE the power of the other trimmers I've used in the past. Result? It cuts quickly, gets the job done with far more efficiency and you don't have to worry about it jamming up. Excellent unit.

I bought this "pencil size" trimmer to replace my (much bulkier) Remington. The Remington required periodic oiling, and the last time I oiled it, it broke nastily and received a burial in the circular file. In addition to nose and ear grooming, I use my trimmer to shave areas of my body where I must apply a bandage. Bandages do not like my bod. Before dressing a wound I clean the area with an alcohol prep pad, then give it a quick shave with my trimmer. The bandages love it and they stay in place! Simplicity of design plus excellent performance make this trimmer a keeper! (Even without the included AAA.)

Really like it. Was tired of internal batteries failing or gradually getting weaker in more expensive models. This model is tiny, about the size of a pen. It takes one AAA, which I only pop in when I'm about to use it. Although the plastic attachments feel and look cheap compared to the nice aluminum body, they cut and work remarkably well. Very easy to clean and disassembles into about three parts or so. Can't really beat it for ten bucks and I expect it to last a long while (will update this post when it eventually breaks, so if you don't see an edit at the bottom, it's still ticking)

At first, I did not think that this pen trimmer would work like many others said it. I thought that because of how small and fine the teeth are, it would snag and rip my hairs. After using it several times a week, my opinion was changed. It never once snagged, or bogged down or pulled hairs. It trimmed my neck and cheek hairs right down to the skin. The guard that comes with it works really well too. For the money and size, this thing is definitely worth the money. I love this little trimmer. Anyone looking for some precision trimming, this is the tool you need. Wahl makes great stuff!

I purchased this product for trimming nose and ear hair. It does both of these well. The blade hair trimmer does make some noise but works as expected. I really like the size and believe it may be the smallest of its type for what it does. I have not needed to travel with it but this would be easy to pack in an overnight bag or dopp kit. I’m removing one star because sometimes it will pull a nose hair. This is not enough for me to not like the product but wish the blade was a little sharper. If you are looking for an inexpensive, simple, easy to use and clean trimmer this is it.

This is a very sturdy and good-looking trimmer. The steel case (which slips off the plastic innards to replace the batter) seem sturdy and looks nice. It's a very masculine, sleek trimmer. The swappable heads and the two-sides / two-lenth trimmer guard give you alot of versitility, and it seems to work well.The only ding is it needs a small case to hold everything, there is no "AAA" battery inclosed in the packaging (how cheap is THAT?!) and it would be nice to have a brush to clean it (though it says you can run the heads under water - but not submerse them).

This is a great product for trimming one's beard around the mouth where an electric razor is simply too large. It is also good for eyebrow, ear, and nose hair trimming. Nonetheless, it really shines when trimming a mustache or goatee. It is simply the perfect size to control, with or without a guide, to make the shape of one's facial hair design look perfect and neat every time. The batteries last an extremely long time unless you are trying to use it to shave your entire beard--and that isn't what it is for. Use it as a trimmer, and you'll be 100% satisfied.

This the second personal trimmer we have purchased from Wahl. We had the first one for 4 years before it started to get worn out. For the price we are very pleased with the amount of time we got out of it. I have predominantly used it with the nose trimming attachments. It never pulls and it gets all of the hard to reach spots. I have occasionally used it for eyebrow trimming as well. It works fine but it doesn't have a guard or anything. You just have to be careful not to shave off too much otherwise you could end up with a bald spot.

I'm a lady and I use this all over my body to get rid of body hair.I can't really shave/wax/Nair my pubic region without getting gnarly ingrowns (people always try to give unwarranted advice, but I swear it's just my skin type down there) so I use this to get rid of everything.Shaves down to nearly bald with no issues with nicking or discomfort.I could use this in the dark if I had to. Super user friendly and lasts forever. My last was over 2 years old until I randomly dropped it hard af-- leaving it shattered.
