I have owned a Philips OneBlade now for just over 2 weeks and have had the pleasure of being able to use it on several occasions to trim, edge and shave my beard.Product packaging- comes in a small, well presented Philips box- in the box comes - OneBlade handle, replaceable blade, 3 shaving guards (1, 3 and 5 length) and a charger cable- it would be nice if there was a way to convert the OneBlade holder in the box into a shave stand that could be used to store your OneBlade in your bathroom cabinet- another thing that owed have been nice would have been a carry pouch as you have various accessories that would be good to throw into a carry pouch for travelling or throwing in your gym bag so youdon't lose accessoriesI must note though that the last 2 points are not a negative and devalue a great product. They are just my opinion of what would add even more value to an already great product!Design- the OneBlade itself is a simple yet very effective design- it is much smaller than I thought it would be and is very lightweight- it has excellent weight distribution which allows ease of movement when trying to trim, edge and shave your beard- the gripped handle gives excellent control when using wet or dry- love the colour scheme and certainly catches attention when using it in the changing room- I've charged it once since purchase and have now used it 6 times for an average of 5-10 minutes with no drop in performance. This will make it ideal for travel or going on holiday and allow me to travel even lighter than normalPerformance- You can use the OneBlade to shave any length if beard, which is great but I do not thin you would use it on a long bushy beard for shaving as the 1,3, 5 guards would take it too short. I have a short bear and the 5 is the longest I would keep my beard which is idealTrim- I have used the 3 and 5 guards so far and they are easy to attach and remove and feel sturdy when using. i have other razors with movable guards and the amount of times they have fallen off and cause you to take too much off your beard is a nightmare - i do not force this being a problem with the OneBladeEdge- the OneBlade is so small and light and is easy to manoeuvre so that you can edge your beard with straight lines- The head is so small you can work under your nose to trim moustache and goatee to your desired length- it is easy to cut some great lines on your neck to finish your styleShave- using the OneBlade to shave your neck is one of the best features. It gives a close shave with very little effort that will last 2 days before you need to go over it againOverallI previously used a combination of an electric beard trimmer, a smaller electric razor for edging and then a wet razor to shave my neck. The OneBlade has replaced my need for all these other items and with the only requirement to replace shave head once every 4 months I know that this will save me money in the future as well as enabling me to travel lighter!Overall great product and would highly recommend

Having used other trimmers for a number of years, I was looking for a replacement product as it rusted and the battery capacity had depleted. I scoured the web searching for a replacement when I found the OneBlade. I would forgive you for being sceptical about this product since it is touted as a revolution in the trimmer/shaver market and there are some discouraging reviews around but the product truly is great. Having used it for a number of weeks now I rate it highly. For the pro's and con's please read below:Pro's- I use the OneBlade with a guard to trim my facial hair which is kept relatively short. It does so quickly and evenly and better than my previous trimmer.- I use the unguarded blade to do my neck as I like to shape my facial hair up to my jaw line.It cuts much closer than any trimmer I've used before and much more efficiently. Some mention here about irritation etc but if you use the blade as instructed, in continuous sweeping lines against the hair it does not catch or irritate (at least myself). - The OneBlade is great for edging as it cuts a sharp and easy to control line and I can reach a previously fiddly place, directly underneath the nose, to trim my moustache. - I have been using it for a couple of weeks now and haven't had to charge it using it every other day or so.- It comes with a plastic clip cover which keeps the blade dry in a moist bathroom environment which is what dulls razor blades quickly.- Can be judged both a pro and a con but the purchase of new sharp blades does mean the OneBlade will last longer (albeit at cost) and issues like rusting or dulling of the blades are less significant.Con's- (For some) have to buy replacement blades- Does not have a 'vacuum' function like certain other trimmers which would be nice but not essential. I imagine the OneBlade and indeed any other trimmer will have to sacrifice functionality to allow a vacuum part.

The Philips OneBlade combines a traditional razor with a beard trimmer into one neat device.Using the device without the guard allows you to get a very close shave and mimics the result you would get from a razor. Personally i have avoided having to use a razor at all since i received the OneBlade and i have still kept a very nice clean neck line without the the usual skin irritation i suffer from using a traditional razor. The small size of the blade also allows for easy styling and cutting in of the neck line, beard line, soul patch etc. The blade cuts when using an upwards or downwards motion which also aids in performance and ease of use. When one of the various length guards are added the OneBlade becomes a very able beard trimmer. The trimmer leaves a very nice cut and does appear to leave a better and more even finish than the beard trimmer i was using previously. The small size of the OneBlade compared to most trimmers is also a major bonus as this allows you to trim the hard to reach areas such as under the nose with ease. The struggle of getting an even trim on the mustache area under the nose with previous trimmers was something which used to be an annoyance. The OneBlade does take a little longer than previous trimmers i have used to get the desired length but that is probably due to the small size but as the finish is more even and the hair appears to have a cleaner cut this is a more than acceptable trade off. The battery life is also excellent so don't worry about the extra time meaning plugging the device in all the time, one full charge lasted me during my 10 day holiday with daily use and there was still charge left when i returned home.Since using the OneBlade i will not be going back to using my razor and trimmer combo and will be sticking to using the OneBlade as my one grooming tool.

Philips Oneblade 2530/30 Review. This shaver comes with 2 Oneblade heads, a head cover, 4 combs for the Oneblade, a 2 pin uk shaver plug, manual and warranty info. The Oneblade charges quiet quickly (in about 2 hours for me) you will need to charge it before first use (mine came completely dead) but you would expect to have to charge it before you use it. You will also need to have a 2 pin adaptor but I’ve never had a shaver that came with one anyway. The one blade works quiet well if you have short facial hair. It cuts quite close almost a close shave. I tried it when it came and I had an out of control beard which took quite a bit of time on the first shave as I have quite thick facial hair, but after the first shave to keep it short it works really well without any problems. It’s nice and comfortable to use. I have used razors before and wasn’t keen on them, so for many years now I’ve been using hair clippers to shave as I’ve tried other beard trimmers/shavers and they were not up to the task of cutting comfortably without ripping some hairs out. This shaver doesn’t do that so that’s a win for me. I use this shaver every day at the moment to keep the sides short, I find it really easy and quick now to get the desired result. The Phillips Oneblade is nicely weighted for the size, quite when in use and has good battery life. It has a textured rubbery coating on the handle for extra comfort in the hand. It seems well built and robust. It’s also water resistant. For the money I think this shaver is good value for money. The blades are expected to last 4 months if you shave twice a week, I use it every day so I will need to buy a blade once a month maybe, but only time will tell maybe they would last a bit longer. I'm not fond of shaving, so previously only shaved on a weekly or fortnightly basis as I hate the razor rash and tended to trim the beard instead.I tried this razor and found that the shaving was really easy and didn't give me the razor rash I got when I have a wet shave. I normally use a beard trimmer without the guard when I wanted a close shave, however the oneblade provided a shave that is as close to a wet shave I have had without any of the soreness.I have used the oneblade to trim my beard with the different guards for varying length of beard which works well (comes with 1mm, 2mm, 3mm and 5mm), however was a little awkward to always shave against the beard on the swirl patches I have.As there is no open blade you can just keep on going over the same area in different directions until you get the completed result. Using the oneblade on the single edge does not provide as good a result as using the blade flat on the face, but it is more than acceptable. When I opened the box I was a little unimpressed that there was only a 2pin razor plug and no adapter supplied in the box - so make sure you purchase an adapter separately if you don't already have one. The razor is a little noisy, however it is very lightweight, easy to use and ideal for those travelling. The additional blade cover is very handy to protect the blade when not in use and for travelling. Inside the box you get 2 blades that are supposed to last 4 months each, so you have 8 months' worth of shaving at no extra cost. As I have only had the razor for a few weeks I cannot advise how long the blades will last, however it is still cutting as well today as it did when I got the device. I've been shaving since I was 13, now touching my mid 30s, which means if I've averaged shaving for just 5 minutes every day I've spent more than 600 hours shaving, scary now that I think about it! What that means is that getting the right blade matters to me, and good quality is equally important, but if I can save time and effort when shaving then all the better. I find the OneBlade isn't the best shave I've ever had, but it's definitely not bad, and the ease of use means it's up there as one of my preferred shaves. The OneBlade comes ready to use out of the box and after a quick charge I had this thing running in no time. The guards snap on and off in seconds and I like that there are only 4 and they're all tiny, meaning this thing takes up hardly any space in my shaving jar which means it's probably great for travelling. It's also ridiculously quick and easy to charge and they've done a good job with the charger and battery. I'd compare it to the likes of charging a phone, just with a 2 pin connector. The shave itself isn't the closest I've had and my previous kit, although it's a lot heavier and chunkier, does a far more consistent job. The reason I still like the OneBlade is that it's ultra quick and easy to use and so great for day to day shaving, but it does leave a lot more patchiness and "mistakes" than other electric shavers I've used. So it's my go-to when time is important and whem I'm just heading out the door I can't beat this. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Have used this shaver for well over a week now and can say I am really pleased with it.First off there is the sleek and clean design, doesn't look out of place in the bathroom and has some nice contrasting colours. The design aesthetically is equal to that of the ergonomic design, it fits nicely in the palm of the hand and is a nice size; not to chunky to get a good grip but not to small that its awkward to hold. The OneBlade comes with 2 easy to fit and change blades along with several comb guides to get the right length you want on your beard. Very simple to change and small enough to not take much space in the bathroom or in the suitcase if you're using this on your travels. It got a niceclean cut when needed and it cuts effortlessly without causing any irritation to the skin (which usually i tend to suffer from). 9 times of 10 the blade cuts hairs first time round without any need to constantly go over the same area to get a low cut.Battery life is excellent, approximately 45 minutes use after a 8 hour charge. When you consider how long you actually spend shaving this means you can use the OneBlade several times without constantly running for the charger.Overall i am very pleased with the shaver, both for a clean cut and that of being able to style those harder to reach areas. I would not hesitate to recommend this to friends and family. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

In short this is the best razor I've ever owned. I own the Pro version, which was priced very modestly in my opinion, so I cannot comment on the cheaper variants. It comes with a dial-adjustable height guard (no more separate guards for different lengths!), spare heads and battery level indicator. I have owned 2 mechanical razors before: A 3-head circular one and a trimmer because the first couldn't handle very long hairs. I also have my wet shaver for closer shaves. Both mechanical razors chargers broke within a month. But even before then I was having to practically dismantle each one to clean and OIL them weekly! It was crazy. And whenever they ran low on charge after 2 or 3 days they would start to pull and tug on hairs.I reverted back to the wet shaver in the end. Then I got the OneBlade. I've had it for 1.5 months now. What can I say? It does the job of all 3 literally in one! The picture attached was done with the single Oneblade - from cutting my hair to length on the sides, trimming and shaping my stubble to clean shaving my neck. It was phenomenal. And the crazy part? I haven't even had to charge it for 2 weeks!! I know it's not advertised to but in my opinion it can get just as close as a wet shaver, with zero razor burn. Plus the blades last for months! (comes with 3 spare anyway) Easily the same cost or cheaper than the more frequent replacing of my wet shaver head.

Surprised at how small it is. Unexpectedly comfortable on moving across my skin in any direction to hair growth. Found it a little bit awkward to effectively cut moustache hair due to having to have the blade flat on skin and not being able to use the edge very well. The same for getting a clean edge on sideburns. It was a pleasantly close shave in general and quick to cut through hair. Didn't have any use of the blade attachments.Would recommend to anyone that goes a good few days without shaving to then go back to a close shave as it seems to cut through any length hair with ease. Perhaps wouldn't necessarily recommend for someone with very clean lines as the cutting edge is set back fromthe edge of the blade (but that's what makes it comfortable on the skin).Only really used my dedicated electric foil shaver before but often leave it too long to shave, therefore having to use the edging tool on the shaver first. Using OneBlade easily cuts and gets a reasonably close shave, good enough to go to work. The edging tool on my dedicated shaver is better but OneBlade does it all good enough. OneBlade has benefits of being suitable for travel and isn't nearly as expensive as my electric shaver so I would be less worried about it breaking or getting stolen. I've been using the OneBlade for several weeks now and when i first opened the package and held it in my hand, i honestly thought that this was not going to be all that great. Boy! was i wrong!! The Philips OneBlade is a Godsend! If you see the advert on TV where the guy is just gliding it across his cheek and the beard disappearing, that's what actually happens! I couldn't believe it. I'm still trying to find something wrong with it!? No Luck!Right, so, the OneBlade itself is perfectly made, rubberized side grips, rechargeable, extremely light, different comb lengths and replaceable blade (which i thought would be the only downside) that can be rinsed off under the tap. Being able to replace the Blade is great, especially if you are trimming or even close shaving with the OneBlade and you start getting the odd nip or tug, BUT...i have been using this one blade for roughly 5-6 weeks, every 3-4 days just trimming my beard and clean/close shaving my neck! Not one nip or tug and still going strong. All in all, this is a great purchase, would make a great gift for any person who likes to keep a tidy beard or even dry shave with wet shave results in the half the time.Extremely quick and easy to use! Highly recommend. Thank you Philips.
