I was rather hoping that this did not have a strong scent because I was convinced it would upset my cat. Relieved to find that any smell is very subtle indeed. This is a mousse which you shake vigorously and squirt a bowl of foam into your hands before putting it on to your furry Friend. My cat absolutely hates getting wet and I was wondering if I should put my full body armour on, the thought I usually where to wash her if she gets a dirty bottom ( she's a long-haired cat).Anyway I squirted the foam and Pusscat was not bothered in the least. I will put this gently over her her and she did indeed become quite wet. Because it is a foam it did not penetrate the long hair layers,so I don't think she actually knew what was happening, . So the foam bath was indeed a success.Being a long-haired cat she did take quite a long time to dry and I simply brushed her.Her hair was nice and silky and I couldn't detect any after smell at all ( from the product that is, my cat doesn't smell). This will be very useful for those old times when she is poorly and gets a bit of mess around her rear end. I usually have to bath her in the sink but it is a very dangerous game to play, and I usually get ripped to shreds and she does actually draw blood! ( yes sometimes I am scared of my cat!).This works well, and smells in offensive to me and my cat and I would probably buy more when this runs out.I found this useful when we had a heat wave and I could rub this over her fur and let her outside wjth wet fur, too cool her down

We have a small crossbreed wire haired terrier that suffers from a skin rash every year between early August and late October. This causes her to scratch herself furiously and it's quite upsetting to see her in such distress. We thought at first it was harvest mites, but the vet now thinks it is an allergy to some type of grass or plant that flourishes in late summer. Over the years we've tried all sorts of remedies to ease her irritation, but nothing has ever worked. It's been particularly bad this last week or so with the very hot weather so we applied this shampoo all over her body, paying particular attention to the areas that seem to itch her most and almost immediately her discomfort and scratching reduced. She still scratched herself but nowhere near as much as she was and generally no more than she might at any other time of the year. We did use a lot of the shampoo on her, almost half the bottle in two goes over the course of a few days, and at first we were really pleased with the result, but unfortunately after a couple of days she was back to scratching herself furiously. Really disappointing because the shampoo does make her fur feel softer and smell nicer. Easy to apply, much easier than trying to bath her, just rub it in, and I'd say it's worth trying if you've got a pet that suffers from skin irritations, but otherwise I'd still recommend it if you'd like a cleaner, softer and sweeter smelling pet

This product has to be taken with a small amount of faith really. The idea is you pump out some of the shampoo (which, in consistency is more liquid than foam) and rub it all over your furry friend of choice. You then let it dry and brush it out to leave your pet with a glossier looking coat. The only issue I have with that is, I've never brushed our cat or dog and not had them look cleaner and shinier as a result. Ergo, there is part of me that feels this could be a little bit Emperor's New Clothes and not really doing all that much.On the other hand, the dog in particular (short, wiry hair) has looked pretty sleek and shiny for over 48 now so, equally, I'm not willing to say it doesn't work.It has a smell to it much like any other type of cleanser, so the pets certainly smell cleaner which is worth a star or two in itself.Neither the cat or dog seemed to mind being hand doused and both still cleaned themselves as normal so I guess it doesn't smell or taste bad to them!It only took a few pumps to give out, admittedly small, dog a good soaking so I would think this would last quite a while so it's pretty good value for money. Plus the dog HATES being showered so this is more kind hearted option when she gets a bit grubby and stinky! So, all in all, and giving it the benefit of the doubt, this is handy little bottle for any pet owner to keep around when the urge to give the animals a quick spruce up strikes!

The downside to babysitting my granddaughter's guinea pigs when they go go away for a fortnight's holiday has always been their smell. Cleaning their cages and changing their bedding daily only helped so far as the animals themselves smelled. I saw this and decided to give it a whirl. The bottle of shampoo has a lotion style pump which dispenses a dollop of shampoo. All I had to do was have my daughter hold one of the guineas on her lap, on a towel, and rub this into their fur. Then we simply had to brush them. I found that once we had the shampoo on, placing the towel on the floor and giving them a honey and fruit stick to chew while my daughter kept them from scampering to far worked best for brushing them.Afterwards, their coats gleamed and most importantly, they did not reek of that pungent small animal smell that they can get. It made it much more bearable to keep them in the dining room and they only needed a repeat bath once the following week. I like it well enough that I've gotten a bottle of the cat version to use on one of our cats who is prone to dry itchy skin that causes her to lick a patch off on the same area on her back each time. It's helped keep her clean and the flaky skin seems to be healing nicely. I also sent a bottle home with the guineas!

I'm reviewing the Small Animal version of this Animal Bath spray, as Amazon seems to lump all the different products together.Bathing guinea pigs can be a struggle. They don't like water or fuss all that much (at least none of mine ever did!) so this 'dry' wash is a great idea. It's a light foam type liquid which is pumped out of the top and massaged into the guinea pig's fur without the need for water. The scent is very faint, sort of like baby wipes, I guess because it needs to be kind to their skin. It still managed to make them smell fresher. though. The biggest improvement was to the look of the fur. It did make a difference to grooming, though to be honest, they don't need all that much anyway but being indoor piggies, it's just nice to give them a little brush and wash and far easier than with water. So well worth it for general spruce ups for small animals.

After reading reviews on this product I thought it would be ideal to use on my older dog. He can no longer get in and out of the bath and struggles in the car when going to the groomers. This is so easy, I just gave it a shake and squirted the foam sometimes directly onto my dog and sometimes onto my hand so that I could reach his tummy. It was much less stressful for him.I let it dry and then gave him a brush and he looks fresher and smells fresher to. A great product not just for small animals but larger ones to.

Seems to work ok on my rabbit although I obviously can't tell the difference myself but given the fact that nature hasn't given rabbits any better way to clean themselves, I think it's a great way to clean your small pets without having to make them feel like you are planning to drown them. My rabbit doesn't look any cleaner to me than he did before but he doesn't object to it either. Seems a bit less itchy though.

This is easy to apply to my Netherland Dwarf rabbit, however if your bunny is not a fan of being covered by anything damp or wet foam he or she may hop off at times. It drys quite easy, my bunny also groomed himself after and he seemed ok with it, it didn't leave a bad taste in his mouth. It doesn't leave a smell as such on there coat it just smells fresh which is nice. His coat is very soft and fluffy too now.

I have a short-haired rabbit, and he can get quite smelly now and again. To bath a rabbit in water with soap is dangerous, as rabbits can go into shock so I thought this sounded perfect. We have used grooming wipes which seem to leave him smelling fresh, but don't really clean his coat. I found this waterless shampoo, which leaves him looking cleaner and smelling fresh.

I have to admit, I've never given my cat a bath because the vet always told me that cats bathe themselves. I bought this for his dry flaky skin and after one use, it has worked wonders. I took a star off as I didn't see much moisture or brightening in his coat after use.

It took a while, but we finally tested it and the cat liked it well enough (or rather liked it as much as a cat that's not a big fan of being washed can do)The smell is fine and the fur was clean and looked healthy afterwards. We're happy with the results

So easy to use on my long haired cat. He doesn't like the squirt of the foam so it just goes into my hand, then spread and massages, which he loves! Have to brush and hold him before he tries to lick it! But it does dry quickly.

19.1.2019

works great, I wouldn't want to stress my guinea pigs with water, and I can't say that they like being shampooed but this is quick and painless and keeps coat shiny and fresh natural smell, lasts 4-6 weeks easily

10.8.2016

We are happy with the cleaning properties. It leaves our guinea pig's coat in good condition. No signs of irritation or distress. Not a unique method as claimed.
