My wife picked up an extendable lead from a well know large regional pet shop for £16.99.....it's larger and more cumbersome than this flexi lead and also a lot shorter.....a full 5 meters shorter!!We do a lot of walking in the North Yorkshire moors and a lot of places require you to have your dog on the lead at all times due to lambs and sheep....this lead still gives him the freedom to roam around while still being under full control. It feels nice and strong and at no point have I felt it was going to fail....for reference my dog is approximately 10 kilos. The trigger stop mechanism is feather lite as well and so easy to operate, it only requires the lightest of touches and you can stop the lead from running out any more very easily. My dog can't outrun the cord return speed either which is good. It very rare any line is dragging on the floor. At £8.49 this is an absolute bargain for what you get. Plus the fact you can add accessories to it if required is great too, my next purchase is the soft stop lead just to give my dog a little more comfort if he runs out of line.Just a couple of points to consider. 8 meters of cord gives your dog plenty of time to get up to full running speed so I would suggest only using this with a body harness and the soft stop lead. Also if you are planning on using this around a lot of people watch out the cord getting wrapped around peoples legs, as the cord is so thin it's like a cheese wire and can leave a nasty friction burn on bare skin.

The other Labrador reviews are what convinced me to buy this brush, we have a 6 month old Labrador, and even though we knew they shed, nothing can prepare you for the loss of the winter coat. It was like it was snowing dog hair indoors everyday. We bought the Ferminator and it does a great job maybe once a week, but it does make his coat ever so slightly rough and while he puts up with it, I doubt he enjoys it. We also struggle sometimes to get the hard to reach areas (his man-ly bits get in the way of the hair built up on the backs of thighs and anyone knows with the furminator it's not the most gentle tool)We don't have any of these issues with the Kong brush.I just wish we'd have bought it slightly earlier in the shedding process, its fantastic. The dog loves it, he rolls over so I can get his belly too! The video I've attached is after shedding season which is why we don't get as much as we once did but it makes his fur far softer than the furminator. My only dislike, and it's a very small one at that, is that it doesn't pick up the fur in the brush, it leaves it on him so it's a struggle to keep in one clump together. I actually just let it fall off in the garden for the birds. But, if its raining and we want to have a quick brush inside it's a no go.Best brush I've had yet though. Works far better than I'd have ever imagined on a double coat. I had judged it poorly on the way that it looked previously, but the performance speaks for itself!

This is a review for the “flexi VARIO Cord, Small, 8 m, Pink”I purchased this lead via the Amazon Warehouse deals. I’ve always used a fixed length lead but decided to give this lead a go as I wanted my dog to have more freedom on our walks along canal paths or pavements but still allow me to have control should a bike come whizzing past or the dog see’s a cat and decides it will be fun to chase it.The lead itself is really comfortable and ergonomic. The grip has plenty of space for your hand and has a rubber feel texture which is soft and great should you have cold hands on early morning walks. The retraction of the extending cable works well and I've had no issues at all with it getting tangled. There is also a great feature which allows you to customize the lead with different accessories such as poo bag holders, LED cable etc. All of these you have to purchase at an extra cost but it’s nice to have this feature should you wish. The lead also came with a safety collar strap which you can attach alongside your own dogs collar which works as a back up should the D ring break on your own dogs collar. Personally I don’t use this as the lead/collar combo I’m using feel really robust for the size of dog I have but again it’s a great extra feature which I’ve seen some others don’t provide.I've recommended a friend get one of these leads too as I’ve been so impressed. I own a Jack Russell and I'd say the Small for me was the perfect size.

These are fantastic brushes, if you have a dog or cat then you really need one of these. My little chihuahua x Yorkie wasn’t meant to shed but does, all over. She normally hates being brushed so I was resigned to extra hoovering and clothes brushing until I tried this. She will happily stand for ages while I brush her and that’s just as well because the hair just keeps on coming out. I’m constantly surprised she’s not bald at the end of a session. The brush doesn’t collect most of the hair, so be sure to try this outside unless you want your house to be super hairy. I also make sure the wind is blowing the hairs away from me and not onto me - it really does take out that much dead hair. The soft rubber cones (can’t really call them bristles) seem to give my dog a massage and she’s always happy and relaxed at the end of a session. The difference in her coat is immediately noticeable as she feels softer and looks shinier. The only negative is that the cones do get a bit stained and don’t clean up particularly well. But compared to the positives this is a really picky little negative. I’m now getting this as a gift for friends and families with pets. Very happy to recommend.

Finally replaced an inherited model that must be 15 years old (donated by Mum!) and there is no doubt that the 8 metres length, instead of the previous 5, is well worthwhile. I also ordered the ‘soft stop belt’ attachment and that is, in my oppinion, an essential purchase because of the lack of jolt that it delivers when my dog reaches the end of the line at full speedWell thought out design ... the adjustable hand grip to ensure that your thumb is in the right position to halt or lock the cord ... and an internal spring and guide mechanism that always achieves a rapid re-wind when it is requiredMy dog is quickly learning that she has 8 metres of sniffing before she has to leapfrog me to the next spot ....while I just continue ambling along without constant stopsYou will see that I have added an extra small length of lead to the end of the lead .... this means that, at It’s shortest reach, it does not tangle others with nylon cord

Simply outstanding! I've have searched and searched and searched for 2 whole years for a brush/comb that will work on my short, thick haired bulldog. His hair has always been a nightmare to deshed which it come to malting season. On the raving recommendations of this product on one of my dog chat groups on Facebook, I brought one to try not really thinking much of it.I've bought hundreds of combs and brushes of various brands and styles, all of which have failed to get his undercoat. Its would take hours before even half of of fur was sorted. With the Zoom Groom, it's just took 5 minutes! Its removed a hell of alot of his shedding undercoat and I'm thoroughly impressed! My doggo loved it aswell,He particularly enjoyed being brushed around his neck, it was like a nice massage for him.I have never been this happy with a product before! If your thinking of buying a ZoomGroom DONT HESITATE! You wont regret it!

We have a black Labrador and I was beginning to tear my own hair out over the amount she moults. The Zoom Groom is Absolutely amazing, far better than the expensive dog brushes we have previously purchased. Our dogs hair gets EVERYWHERE. I have had to Hoover several times a day on some occasions and, then I brought the Zoom Groom. I now get away with hoovering once every other day. We end up with handfuls of hair with each groom and, I can now see why my floors were so hairy. My lab gets excited every time I get the zoom groom out and often falls to sleep whilst I groom her. She gets a through massage and I get a nice clean house again. Will be giving her a good wash this weekend and will see how it works while her coat is wet. This was recommended to us by our vets so, well done Kong we shall be looking at all your other pooch products. :0)

I have a very nervous dog who takes time to adapt to new things. It took months for her to be comfortable with her other hedgehog-type brush. She has a long and fluffy double coat and it's shedding season and the other one just wasn't enough to remove the undercoat. I didn't want to get a sharp undercoat rake or deshedding tool because I knew it would probably frighten her so I thought I'd give the Zoom Groom a try after reading all the good reviews. Not only did she find out that she enjoyed being brushed by it immediately, she's actually pushing against it when I use it and rolling around on the ground asking me to brush her belly. It's like a little massage for her. It does remove a good amount of undercoat too!Probably still need the other brush for occasional tangles but this is our new go-to. Get one. You won't be disappointed.

Great item, had been looking for a while for a small sized lead that was long. I'd ordered the medium version at Christmas but it is a bit big for me hand wise and for carrying so finding the small 8m lead was ideal.I also purchased the dispenser which attaches into the back of this, which is ideal for making sure you are never caught short for poo bags. Another purchase was the soft lead attachment which gives bounce at the end rather than the ridged end included, if your dog is eager to get going it softens the pang on his neck and the pang on your arm. Would definitely buy another one of these when mine is done but hopefully that wouldn't be for a while.Makes walking the dog more pleasurableas when I need to keep him on the lead I know hes got good length to sniff about.

Our Jack Russell regards it as a game for the first few minutes of any walk to attack the lead resulting in the nylon webbing near the hook being finally detached. He has even bitten through the cord in one bite which then retracts inside and they are not able to be dismantled to repair them.It was getting expensive on retractable do leads and the ones from Poundland were not good enough. This one now has a first line of defence as the piece he destroys first can be interchanged. I also bought the elasticated end fitting which he seems to accept more and is more comfortable on both of us in the first couple of minutes.Oddly he walks perfectly on a lead once we have gone through this pantomime routine and even advice from dog trainers have failed to cure.

My dog has a very thick coat. It's short hair, thank goodness but thick and difficult to actually remove the loose hair. Most dog grooming tools seem ok and go through his coat but this is the business when it comes to dog grooming. The rubber just grips the hair and it falls off in clumps. My dog has never been to fussed on brushing but really seems to like this. I brush with the hair, then against the growth then I even do a scrubbing, back and forth along his back and legs. It gets off more hair than I thought possible. I usually go to the bottom of the garden as it starts to float around.I do use this on my Frenchie who has a thin coat, not much comes out but she doesn't really have much coat as it's so thin, but she likes it. Highly recommended.

My husky has been a bit hit or miss with grooming and she can be a little mouthy with some brushes, so I was a little sceptical she'd co-operate. I needn't have been - she loves this one! She happily lay on her side falling asleep as I used this (once she stopped demanding I do her belly for the third time!). It did a great job as unearthing some dead undercoat hairs when used in a circular/figure of 8 motion.Definitely try and use it outside - it doesn't hold onto the hair as much as other brushes so there are some airborne bits of fluff, but it does accumulate a fair bit and it's easy to peel off. Looking forward to seeing how it does during bath time!

When I got this I thought omg how's that going to get hair off my dog. Now my lab/collie HATES being brushed, so I did the round movements it suggests to massage and worked my way to his tail end and omg the amount of hair that comes off.The bonus is it brushes off the dog so doesn't get caught in the comb itself. The amount of hair it got off was amazing. He's still not sure about brushing, but at least he lets me do it without a fight now which is fabulous in itself. So I would say for my dog it was well worth the money. My dog has smooth hair, not sure if would get tangles out of dogs, but if only for the massage to chill your dog out I'd get it.

Having already had two Flexi leads, both with the material leash I was left disappointed with them, they both ended up not retracting as they became twisted on the recoil. I decided to opt for a cord version to take away the potential of cord twisting. So far it's had two uses and seems to work well. Only time will tell though. The cord does seem really thin. My sister has a fake flexi lead from the pound shop with a thicker cord. I am hoping that its a stronger material though. You can purchase different attachments for this lead and I have bought the poo bag box, the soft stop attachment and the duo belt. All work well and are really handy.

The dog loves it and sometimes brings it to me for a grooming or leaves it in the garden! Doesn't scratch so no danger of hurting the dog. Was originally recommended by our trainer. Our labrador suffers ffrom dandruff and the ZoomGroom stimulates her coat and loosens the scurf. It doesn't collect the hair, like a brush, but leaves it on the surface. Best tool I've had but recommend you use it outside, otherwise you'll need the vacuum to clear away the hairs. Labradors have thick coats and some moult twice a year or like ours drops hairs most of the time. Haven't needed a grooming comb at all, which can be harsh.Dog pleased, I'm pleased.
