My cat as very sensative ears and suffers with yeast which is black and is very itchy causing your cats ears to twitch and head shaking .. she had earmites prior to the yeast and an indoor cat, she got them from a friend who she liked sitting on there knee. I have tried all sorts of products to free her of the yeast ...yeast as devoloped from over treating her ears due to ear mites. I am giving Pro Pooch 5* plus.First i tried a little bit on in her ear ... shown no signs of distress...I then did a full ear clean but gentle massage let it sif for 2 mins the let her do her headshake, gently wiped her ears... what i liked was the big ear buds they sent with it, as they r so soft and kind to the inner ear,I tilt her head up while the bud is gently there so any wetness as absorbed from the ear cannel... then with the swobs you recieve a light clean with those also with the swobs when they do the head shake and you wipe the ear you can see the colour of what is coming out of the ear cannel giving you evidence of what is going on..... Dark brown crust is not good .... visit vets get checked for earmites .... deep yellow ear infection .... slight blackess or gowy blackness yeast..... dark black crusty possible blood from ear mites .... little light yellow healthy ..... cotton bud balls i find can cause irratision so i am not just saying this the large buds and them swobs are the best to use. i am so pleased with this product. she always itched after i had cleaned her with other products and verbac from the vets and on line seemed to be to harsh for her ....acucan rex wasnt good for her as think this must have some oil bace in there which doesnt agree with yeast but contributes to the irratation. if there is a lot of distchrage coming from the ear but the cat seems settled just dry gently if there still head shaking after this maybe good as the build up of debri is working loose..... 7 hrs after a few more drops and gentle wipe out ... bare in mind no harsh rubbing or pressure to the ears just gentle clean ..repeat every day till our happy with nice clean ears. Once aers are clean leave for 7 days see how they go before putting any more in as over cleaning is very sore for the cat. if soft skin is coming off then maybe you have over cleaned with another product before using pro pooch. This product is very kind best i have used i am so happy and the most important part of all this my cat is happy her ears standing to attention... she is happy i am happy ...i hope this helps you guys as me and sooty have beeen through the mill with her ears ..... Pro Pooch Dog Ear CleanerPro Pooch Dog Ear Cleaner is so different, to begin with, the price is very reasonable and after the first time of use, when I ask him if he wants his ear cleaned our dog actually comes and sits in front of me. Pro Pooch Dog Ear Cleaner uses natural ingredients like citrus extracts and oils which seem to work very well. The previous ear cleaner contained solvents (alcohol) so I expect it stung especially on his sore ears.Unlike the previous ear cleaning solution supplied by our vet, which I was never very keen on using, because I could see that it caused our Golden Retriever some discomfort, maybe not a lot but enough that he would try to hide when I got the bottle out,on top of that it was very expensive as are most vet medications.In the box with the bottle are several large cotton buds, some cotton wool and a nozzle top that opens and shuts to screw on in place the screw-cap. In fact everything needed to clean your dog’s ears.In use the cleaner works very well in getting the wax and debris out of the ears. Golden Retrievers have droopy ears so they need pulling up in order to get inside, the large cotton buds are perfect for cleaning inside the ears and large enough (with care) to avoid pushing them in too far.I used a cotton bud first followed by some cotton wool with plenty of cleaner on. The included instructions suggest pouring the solution directly into the ear. I did this on the first try but I could see that he wasn’t very happy with that so subsequently I just soaked the cotton bud and cotton wool to gently wipe in as far as I thought was good. That way some of the solution would inevitably find its way into the deeper ear recesses for him to shake out afterwards. Any solution left soon dries away leaving the ear free of moisture, a good thing with drooping ears.Results were as good as and probably better than the old treatment, improvement was showing after just a day and the problem was cleared by the third or fourth day. I have used the cleaner regularly since and there is no sign of any problem returning.The smell is mild and quite pleasant and as mentioned earlier, it dries quickly. With all the extras this makes a good and complete ear cleaning kit.I would definitely recommend it.

My dog had an ear infection to which we took him to the vet, he had an injection and they gave an ear cleaning solution which was used twice a day for a week as recommended. However as the days went on the odour from his ear continued, the itching as well as the wax from his ear, and for days and days on I kept using the ‘vet recommended’ product. To the end of the bottle. At this point his ear infection was still not gone and I had to buy another one. Which is where I found this product, now reading the reviews of people saying it works so well and it worked so quick, I didn’t think it was so true but I was still compelled by the reviews. So after ordering and receiving this product I can happily say I am so satisfied with this product!I have used it on my dog twice a day for two days and once a day for the following couple. I left it for a few days as it seemed like it went. But by now with the other product, the infection in my dogs ear would have come back and it would have been the same cycle over again. Yet I was amazed to see very little excess coming out of his ear! His ears have become so clean and after trying to clean his ear repeatedly with the other cleaner for as long as I can remember, as the vet recommended it wasn’t working. But this one is truly amazing! I will continue to use this on him every other day or every week because the solution has honestly worked wonders. I was shocked to see that a bottle given to me by the vet didn’t work as well as this one. But I would 100% recommend this product my dog hasn’t been itching his ears as much, it doesn’t smell, it is 10 times more cleaner. I’ve gotten the best results from this product I am a happy customer!

This stuff has given us a rapid improvement in our GSD-mix dog's ear problem. He's had Surolan from the vet after being diagnosed with "not a true ear infection" that would "heal more quickly with some help". His ears stayed the same, with greasy, brown stuff in the crevices and flakes of what appeared to be brown skin but which left clean skin underneath, just very pink or red. We had tried wiping them with non woven gauze moistened with blackseed oil/oregano oil/neem oil/pumpkin seed oil/vitamin E, we tried witch hazel, we tried diluted hibiscrub, we tried the prescription Surolan....but the ears never stayed whitish pink for long. We took chicken out of his raw diet,we took beef out.....and were at the point of a second vet visit for tests to see if there was an allergic or yeast/bacteria responsible that we needed to identify.I ordered this to give his ears a real opportunity to 'start again'. He's very concerned at things going in his ears so I decided to just use cotton wool soaked in the solution rather than filling the entire ear canal with it and after the very first application he was a lot more comfortable - the next day I repeated that, and fingers crossed, we have sorted his mucky ear problem! His ears have returned to their proper colour and he is also now very happy letting me look at them and wipe them, which tells me they FEEL better too.If your dog has had similar brown flaky waxy stuff in their ears, I think it's definitely worth trying this stuff to remove all the residual junk and medication as it's definitely made an incredible difference to our boy and we will use it routinely to maintain a yeast/bacteria unfriendly environment in his ears.

Very gentle ear cleaner, my dogs love it and actually get very excited when I get the bottle out. Loved the giant ear buds and wipes that came free of charge, just makes everything very easy. Both my dogs were shaking their heads and rubbing their ears but there was an 8 day wait for a Vet appointment, I saw the reviews for this product and thought it was worth a try to see if it could ease their discomfort. Product arrived next day, carefully packaged so no leaks. I also got an email from the seller giving full instructions and offering their telephone number if I needed any help! Wow what great personal service! Now to the product - it’s absolutely fabulous!I’ve got two Labradors who’ve always had quite dirty ears and I thought that was just the way they were made. However after just the first use the amount of dirt and wax that came out was quite horrific but it gave immediate relief to the head shaking and rubbing of ears. The second treatment the next day also removed some wax but my labs now have absolutely pristine ears. I’ve reduced the use down to weekly but I think I could go fortnightly now but not really a chore and I can do both dogs in five minutes. Wish I’d heard of this product years ago, please give it a go, I’m sure you won’t regret it. George and Harry say a great big woof of thanks.

This product is amazing! My friend has a 10 year old labradoodle and she unfortunately gets very bad infected ears which needs drained from the vet or steroids or any other antibiotics they have gave her in the past, obviously all this costs a fortune and my friend was struggling to keep up with the bills and with not much success to the problem either, I found this and seen the reviews and thought I would give it a try for her and I am not joking when I say within 48 hours it had all cleared up, the smell from the dogs ears was gone and the dog wasnt even shaking her head anymore, we couldn't believe it and I have now used it on my own labrador and recommended it to another friend who had a shiatsu with a bad ear infection and again within 48 hours their dog was so much better,and so was the owners after the amount of money they had spent at vets also....In a nutshell I would say this is so much better than the trips to the vet including the bills on top of it and for the price of this product its a no brainer, I would highly recommend this. It doesn't have much of a scent, it's easy to use (although I would say it's a 2 person job) depending on how well your dog sits for you that is, but simple to use.Forget the vet bills and give this a go!

First time I have purchased any ear cleaner for my dogs so even after reading the great reviews I was dubious as we all are with our precious pets, so much so I used it on my ears the day before yes crazy maybe but I know if I get a reaction then its not suitable for them .No worries very soothing and cleaned out some ear wax (only draw back was I banged my head on the cupboard when I shook my head ) My dogs can tend to play up when ears, eyes or mouth are messed with especially my German shepherd who's a giant softy ,but to be honest after the first ear they just sat there and loved it ,they both enjoyed the massaging and after a good shake (glad I did it outside )they were both happy it hasn't had any diverse effect removed a fair bit of gunk and both seem to have stopped head shaking. Watch a video first .great customer service great item with natural products and no alcohol .Good price (can't believe how much my vet was charging for 125 ml of ear cleaner) I sent for 2 saves on postage making it even better will certainly purchase again .10 Oct update have been using this now every 2 weeks dogs seem to enjoy it not had any ear trouble since using it ...Still exceptionally pleased !!!!

Low scent but quite chemical though not particularly unpleasant.Easy to use as in tip and drip, not so easy to keep your dog from moving during the process.The dogs have become accustomed to it after once weekly use over the course of 5 weeks and no longer respond badly to it, making it slot easier.Much easier if two people do it, one to comfort or distract the dog and one to pour the liquid and massage the ear.Instructions extremely simple.Simply swap the cap with the nozzle provided and drip into the ear until fluid collects at the top then massage around the ear.Would be improved by providing some sort of attachment to attach pouring nozzle to bottle as it is easily lost.Compliments dog earwipes very well.Has proven very effective in bringing up what I can only describe as horrifying stuff from my dogs ears.Packaging solid, no leaks from top of the bottle.Happy to pay this price to look after my furry friends so I consider it a bargain.Dog is likely to get up and follow their instinct to shake themselves off after treatment, be prepared for spatter by doing it in a room without carpets or soft fittings and furnishings.Also be prepared to duck.Delivery was acceptable.

My 16 month old gsd has been having recurrent ear troubles for ages, itchy, red, sore & inflamed with nasty brown stuff on the cotton wool when cleaned. Been trying loads of home remedies and other products, some helped a little bit but nothing made it better. Tried this as a last resort before an expensive vet visit. It says to use for 3 days, in which we saw a massive improvement but still some itching so took him to the vet just to check. On examination the vet said wow his ear looks really good, and only detected a very small amount of yeast when tested; she recommended we continue to use this cleaner once a day and gave us some stronger ear drops to hopefully get rid of the infection for good.It is so gentle on the dog (unlike some other ear cleaners I’ve used before!) & so non evasive my boy will happily come and sit to have his ears done. A few treats help but it clearly doesn’t bother him at all. A super product I will definitely use this above any other & so glad to have found it, would definitely recommend. After only a few more days his ear is now the normal light pink colour & no longer inflamed, or itchy! Impressed with the results.

The fact I'm on my 2nd bottle speaks for itself. A great product that comes nicely packaged with a few nice ear swabs – I've not used these and stick to cotton balls or pads incase the little man gets crazy and seriously hurts himself. The product has a very 'natural' smell and has never irritated him.Cleaning the little gargoyles ears turns the kitchen into a scene from The Conjuring, I couldn't hold this beast still with half a rugby team and a shaman, through no fault of the product might I add. He's petrified of having the ears cleaned and I see the fear of god wash over him as I approach with a cotton pad. I swear he started speaking in tongues once and made the lights flicker and the TV explode before going supersonic and vanishing.After I've called a priest in to calm the little demon I find the best way to get it done is so roll up a cotton pad tightly, saturate it with liquid (warmed on radiator), and poke it into his ear before squeezing the ear from the outside. This dumps some of the fluid in there and allows you to get a first pass before letting him shake it out and going in with another dry pad to clean up. Jobs a good'n!

My white lab girl suffers with recurrent otitis externa/media and has had an aural haematoma in the past which caused a lot of discomfort not to mention making her very poorly. The problem starts with a little bit of wax and then the irritation results in her constant scratching and shaking leading her ears to bleed, become infected and worse case the haematoma. It's unpleasant for her and results in expensive vet bills. The issue we've had until this product was her sensitivity to many ear cleaning products. We have even tried several on prescription. The result always the same. Her skin is so sensitive that the cleaning itself has the same result- irritation, scratching, shaking and so on.This product is kind and effective. It doesn't cause any irritation and since buying it we've kept on top of any wax with once weekly cleans. What had been an ear infection a month has now become no infections since we started using this. She doesn't scratch or head shake anymore at all. HIGHLY recommend for anyone in a similar situation. Only one suggestion- would just like more gauze and buds in the pack as they are really helpful.

After much deliberation I decided to order this product based purely on the positive feedback left by others, and after using it for just over 2 weeks I am happy to say that the reviews did not let me down and my experience this far is 100% positive.The ear cleaner contains no chemicals or additives that may irritate the ear and make the problem worse and has no unpleasant chemical smell like many similar products have.I began by using it every day for the first 5 days by filling the ear canal and massaging the ear to loosen any debris followed by cleaning the ear and lobe the following day with one of the bamboo buds before repeating the process.By day 5 no signs of any debris or wax deposits were visible and I will now use just once weekly to keep control of the situation.The communication from the seller/ manufacturer just goes to show how caring and genuine these people are, and how much pride they have in their brand and customer satisfaction.Nice to deal with a British based company with fantastic quality and customer service.

My dog Fliss had a lot of brown in one ear and some in the other, but not as bad. I could not get a vet appointment until the following week, and this was a Friday and my dog was distressed, shaking her head almost continuously. I searched on Amazon and found this ear cleaner. It came the same day by evening delivery. I also had an email from the seller with a contact number and email address offering personal advice if needed. On the first application what came from her left ear was awful, the right ear was very little. I have used it for a week now, and Fliss no longer shakes her head and seems much happier. I have had nothing more from the right ear for several days,but the left ear still has slight discharge so i will continue till it is fully clean and then, as instructed, will use the cleaner on a regular basis in order to keep the ears clean. Fliss and i are very pleased and impressed with the result. After the first use she came to accept it and just let me get on with it, which made the job even easier.

My Border Terrier has always suffered with VERY sore ears. The only thing to work was Canaural which is prescription only. My vets will only give me this for her if I make an appointment making it a very expensive tiny bottle. I came across Pro Pooch by chance, having tried so many other products the reviews were mainly so good I thought I would give it a try. I had to use it twice a day for over a week before she was totally happy. I then went to twice a week and now once. I only put it in the one ear she had a problem with. I recommended it to another Border Terrier owner whose dog Maggie suffered much worse than my Tia but it worked for her too and now has trouble free ears for the first time in her life.I have just given my spare bottle to my boss whose French Bull Dog is really suffering so hopefully it will work for her too. I appreciate it may not work for every dog but please try it for yourself for Tia and Maggie it has been a God send - 2 VERY HAPPY GIRLS Cannot recommend highly enough !!!

I have a goldendoodle with floppy ears-easy to get bacteria and moisture trapped. She had dark brown ear wax/discharge + foul smell+ more-than-normal ear scratching + head shaking...so I first tried grooming-slowly & gently pulling hair out of outer ear canal, and this loosened wax making it easier to clean with these dog ear wipes. Wipes didn’t really cure the problem and dark brown wax returned daily and ears were dark pink/red. So then tried putting diluted distilled vinegar in her ears and massaging and cleaning with cotton ball. This kind of helped but same symptoms returned after like a few days. I tried that again a few times and didn’t really help the problem.But this product is class.I did it for the recommended 3 days consecutively, and all her symptoms disappeared-no dark brown wax or foul smell or obsessive ear scratching or shaking. AND the cleaner doesn’t make your dog smell like a pickle with irritated ears as the diluted vinegar did. Super gentle and neutral smelling.
