If your dog has ear problems, please buy this! It will save you a lot of time and trouble, and your dog a lot of discomfort. One of my dogs has had an ear problem for roughly three years, it always seemed constantly wet, squishy, smelled bad and all the vet would do is prescribe expensive ear fluid for removing mites and fighting infection. We were just considering going to a more free-form vet that was willing to perform an operation for 700 pounds where the dogs ear canal was widened through cutting away quite a lot of the loose skin, to help the air soothe it.Anyway, three doses of this and her ear problems seemed to have stopped completely.I would honestly recommend using this product with some mite/infection clearing fluid but not both at the same time, just to kick whatever ear problems your dog has into oblivion. One thing you might not expect is that when applied, this fluid seems to froth up quite a bit, which can make massaging it into the ear somewhat difficult..but no more than is to be expected when holding an animal still and inserting objects into places they shouldn't be, anyway.Do your dog a favour and buy this. You won't regret it.Oh and the bottle is massive too. It's not one of those little scam things where you get a bottle the size of a food colouring bottle or something.

I have two adopted Shar Peis. The ears of this breed are often too small and closed to allow for a natural cleansing and drainage process and this often leads to life-long ear problems, stubborn and repetitive strep. ear infections and much discomfort overall.I have previously had to spend £600 for one dog, for diagnosis and treatment of one ear infection - the treatment did not work and some of the medications prescribed by the vet for the infection, caused a lot of pain to an already raw and inflamed ear canal.Within one treatment of Virbac Epi-Otic, both of my dogs appeared to be more comfortable and the treatment itself clearly did not cause them any pain.I will be continuing with intensive treatment for one week to help resolve their ear problems, followed by a weekly treatment to keep future infections at bay - early indications for the viability of this product in both regards are very good and I'm hopeful that we have found a real solution at last.I do transfer the liquid to a smaller dripper bottle to aid dosage as I found that it came too quickly out of the bottle provided to be able to do this effectively - quite a lot was wasted on our first use!

I was prescribed this cleaner by my vet for my beagle who suffers from chronic ear infections and it's essential to keep his ears as clean as possible, this is a excellent cleaner if used correctly, whilst this product is by far a lot cheaper than you can buy from your vets the instruction of use is in a foreign language but it is a simple cleaner to use without an unpleasant odour. For best results gently stretch the ear upwards and outwards to open the L shaped ear canal in your dog, fill the ear canal with the cleaner and gently massage the area below your dogs ears and wait for your dog to shake his head and then simply wipe away any discharge or debris with a cotton swab if ears are really dirty just repeat.I use this cleaner once or twice a week but for healthy dogs once a month especially during the summers months should be ample. I find this process to work best with two people one to hold your dogs muzzle and one to administer the cleaner. Hope you found this helpful if not there is a great tutorial on YouTube.. My staffie has atopic dermatitis caused by multiple allergies (e.g. grass). He suffers from chronic ear infections. Since we started using this once a week, the frequency of ear infections has decreased markedly. He does still get flare ups, but they are brought under control much more quickly now. I find it's especially useful after he has a flare up and is in need of ear antibiotics etc - usually, there is so much gunk and weeping crust down there that you cannot get the antibiotics to where they need to go. With Epi-Otic I find that this isn't a problem. We put this in his ears and massage the ear canal one hour before putting in his ear drops (prescription) and the combination of the two works brilliantly. Thanks Virbac,I have a much happier, more comfortable dog.

This product was, by far, more effective than the one promoted by my vet. I don't need gimmicks with spouts designed to reduce the shelf-life of a product, I just want a happy dog and this works for my poodle and her unfortunately persistent waxy build-up. Not overusing perfumes, it dissolves the wax well and it isn't full of alcohol which will really sting if your dog has been scratching, just make sure you follow the instructions for the best effect. It definitely works if you also moisten the wadding and this reduces the time it takes you to clean your dog's ears which makes a big difference for my poodle's endurance levels. The only downfall is the spout which is a little bit drippy - but this won't stop me buying this ear cleaner again.

My dog suffers from recurring ear infections, which inevitably results in costly vet bills.I tried other ear cleaners with no success, as the infections just kept coming back. Epi-Otic seems to clean my dog's ears much more thoroughly than previous products. I still need to clean her ears on a regular basis (every other day for her right ear, as per trial and error), but now I am able to prevent infections by doing so. So far, at least. It has a pleasant smell and does not seem to bother my dog any more than other ear cleaning products on the market. In addition, delivery form this seller was very prompt: it took a little more than 24 hours for the product to arrive once the order was placed.Very pleased overall.

My spaniel frequently gets yeast infections in his ear which causes him a lot of discomfort. I am elderly and self isolating in this COVID 19 emergency so unable to take him to see the vet, they are only seeing emergency cases so might not have been able to see him anyway. Amazon being still able to deliver some medication has been a god send. The delivery man was careful to respect social distancing and it was great to be able to have a very brief conversation with him from my garden gate with him in his van. The parcel was left on top of my bin, at my request so we had no physical contact. Thank you Amazon...please take care of all your workers who are exposing themselves to risk to keep ussupplied.

Our Basset has had numerous problems with her ears since we got her from a rescue centre 5 years ago. She had always been treated by the vet, usually every few months, and she had become quite nervous of this.I tried Epi-optic ear cleaner and within a day her problems cleared. It is easy to use and she doesn't suffer any after efects. I use it once a week and it keeps her ears clean and free from obnoxious smells and heavy wax build up. I haven't had to visit a vet for a year since trying this out. If anyone owns a dog with similar problems then I recommend they give this a try providing they are sure the dog doesn't have underlying health problems with its ears.

My dog hates the bottle coming anywhere near his ears as the nozzle is too hard, so I use foam sponge pieces to soak up the cleaner and then put the foam at the entrance to the ear canal and squeeze so the liquid drains in. Lots of ear rubbing at the base until the classic 'squelch' noise is heard so I know it's got down, then a last wipe round the outer ear with the sponge. I've found this method doesn't work so well with cotton wool, as fibres are left in the ear and it also uses up too much cleaner. The product works well and I'm a repeat customer, but I'd give it 5 stars if the bottle nozzle was soft rubber rather than hard plastic.

My Vet used to prescribe this for my late Cat, she kept getting ear infections and use to have awful massive build up of black gunk, my vet used this on her weekly for a good few months then I would continue the process at home.It certainly stopped ear infections, so is great value for money. You gotta have a strong stomach tho as this stuff brings out stuff that you would rather not see. LolIt is easy to use, tilt pets head, squirt in ear and gently massgae behind ear for a few seconds working in all that liquid, then use a swab to gently clean out gunk, don't go too far in, get a vet to show you if you are not sure or confident.

I have 3 spaniels so there is often something wrong with at least one of them regarding their ears. I've previously taken one of them to the vet and we got given this so once it started to happen with my second dog I thought I'd have a look on amazon and see if they had this and they did! It cleared up my dogs ear instantly and the redness definitely settled within 12 hours, my poor pups ear must have been agony for her! I usually keep pads to wipe their ears but this does come in handy for cleaning the ears too when I've ran out. This is a great product and will be buying again when I need more.

We use this on our Cocker Spaniel who swims regularly and suffered from discomfort as a consequence (rubbing ears on the ground and scratching them). I was initially told to try this by our Vet, after voicing my concern about the long term effects of the frequent ear problems. One solution is to stop the dog swimming, but this would destroy his quality of life (the Vet was strongly against stopping the swimming for the same reason). This is a great maintenance product. We clean his ears every time they have been submerged in water which has completely stopped him getting ear infections.

Spent a small fortune on vets bills for my frenchies ear problem, tried this after seeing a vet use it onU tube, would never of filled her ears with any sort of liquid before seeing that, but make sure u warm itFirst before putting in ear I just put my bottle on radiator for few of mins it's brilliant, I've also sent for theEpi - otic ear drops haven't received them yet but would def recommend this stuff saved myself quite aOf money £30 before vet puts her on table then £20 / £30 for a treatment that doesn't really do the jobAll I will say is try this stuff , it really works !!!!!

If you have a Cocker Spaniel or similar with floppy ears, prevention is better than cure. By using this product regularly it keeps the ears clean and prevents problems. This is our second Cocker and this has been our cleaner or choice. You just drop a few spots in each ear and rub so that it penetrates. Our is a bit of a coward and runs off at first sight of the bottle ! He knows it doesnt hurt but obviously doesnt fancy it. This is the first time I have bought on line but it was such good value compared to the vet. Highly recommended.

My dog has suffered with ear infections for years that we just couldn't get rid of completely no matter what the vet prescribed us but since using this we've managed to keep them clean and infection free for months. Just squirt a little down the ear canal and massage in then wipe away the excess with a cotton ball. It keeps the ears clean and smelling really nice and my dog enjoys it so much! I highly recommend this if you are tired of going to the vets for ear drops that just don't seem to clear up the infections.
