My dog loves playing fetch, infact I would say he's the dog from Dr. Dolittle with OCD, 'throw the ball, throw the ball'. He's large, got large powerful jaws and most toys don't last long. I bought this 2 years ago, along with the Kong Flyer and it has to be his favourite toy. Its a quick way to tire him, which says something as he can outplay most people and can walk the feet of most. When he's had enough [his legs are going on him], he'll grab the stick and not let go, so it becomes a kind of lead.Pleased I've found it on Amazon, cos the Air Kong is starting to lose its felt and I'll be on the look-out for another one in a few weeks. That's how good it is, its going to be replaced, along with a floating Kong.

There are two Air Kong's on the market and my dog loves to fetch both. Originally I purchased the smaller thinner one which didn't last long before it ripped apart; I am partly to blame as i would play tug-a-war with it which it clearly isn't designed for. I then bought the large one and so far it's still in one piece my only criticism is that it's big, heavy and a bit big for my dog; I suggest that you only get the large one if you have a big dog. Both are good fetch toys and if use for fetch and not chewing or tug-a-war they should last. Alternatively Wilkinson's sell a tough ball on a rope which is by far the best fetch toy I have bought and very cheap!

As with all Kong toys, these are very well made and quite tough (as long as your dog isn't a chewer). The only issue I have with this toy is that the rope is nylon and can be quite sore on your fingers when you throw it. I'm not sure why they didn't go with a more skin-friendly material but I have to wear gloves or limit the number of times I throw it in a session. I know this isn't down to just the one I bought because I was also lucky enough to find an older one in a field and it's every it as sore.I'd still recommend it for a dog that is motivated by playing fetch, especially one that likes to track the 'prey' through the air.

We bought this for our Labrador when she was just a pup, she's now 16months old and the only reason we had to buy her another one was because our neighbours' dog stole it. I have to admit by that point it had seen better days and the felt was starting to come off, but this was her 'walkies' toy so was used 3 times a day minimum not only as a throw toy but as a tuggie toy with said other dog pretty much every day. Other toys came and went (usually in minutes) but this one lasted the distance, great value for money and really easy to throw a long way for the dog to get a good run.

Great toy to play with for our 18 month old vizsla, he's got tons of energy, so the rope helps us throw this extra far. He loves to fetch it and if he's feeling particularly cheeky and wants to play hard to get, the rope also offers a handy grip to catch him by.Would say that the green 'fur' is prone to be pulled off rather quickly if it's being chewed though, would recommend one of the rubber toys if you're looking for something to leave with your dog.

My dog has gone through three of these toys in recent years. One was"lost" up a tree the other one was torn apart by jealous dog and the present one has been rescued from a tree where the knotted end had snagged on a branch but was easily dislodged by shaken the tree with vigour. The dog just loves the toy and looks for it everytime she goes out for excercise. It also floats and is readily visible against all backgrounds. Well worth the money.

This replaces another floating toy that didn't float very high in the water and so was hard to find. This is is smaller for my cockerpoo's grasp and she finds it better as she swims. The nylon rope has quickly started to show signs of wear (from teeth) and I hope that it lasts. It does float too, but I can't see how to replace it just now. The toy is also a great dry-land chuck about on the beach etc

Dog loves this toy, it's easy to throw and clearly visible.I have previously bought this item on several occasions - only downside is the strength, whilst playing tug with my dog, the stick broke in two! Therefore, I don't think it's made of very strong material.....?! Hence the need for several purchases of the same toy! I would stop buying it, but my dog enjoys playing with it too much!

This is a reasonably strong product - unless of course you give it to a Staffie...It was going fine with our Dachshund, who could shake it and run around with it etc., but sadly the product died when then Staffie joined in - it took him less than three minutes to tear it to shreds and he's not an aggressive animal but, he does like a good old tug, shake and tear.

I bought this to use to train my springer to fetch and bring back. He is so used to the usual tennis balls that he will fetch them but not drop, so I thought I would try this. I will just use this for training only and get it out for that purpose and hopefully he will get the message, only time will tell. Its large, seems good quality and can be used in water.

This is a great toy for dogs who love to retrieve but not if they love to chew, it wouldn't stand up to a hard chewer for very long. Because of its shape it is safer than a ball and is not going to get stuck in a dog's throat, the rope means you can throw it a decent distance without touching the soggy bit and the shape means it is easy for the dog to pick up.

I've had this for a few weeks now and it's still in one piece which is the longest any toy with a rope has lasted. The first thing my dog does with any toy is try to destroy it. I've had him at the beach and he loved it but even using the rope to get momentum on it for throwing up the field works a treat and tires him out. Would definitely recommend this.

we're BIG fans of the 'KONG' products in general, but especially like this range, as the fuzz doesn't cause wear on the dogs enamel on there teeth! My boy particularly likes the knot in the end of the rope..... I ask ya! If ya could buy those in packs!!!! But great for rug-a-tug and fetch :-) and general rolling around.. Good value for money 5 stars

Just arrived in record time - thanks Amazon. My 18 month old black lab loves it. Only used it indoors so far but dragging it around for him to follow or throwing for fetch has been a delight. He already has the Air Kong squeaker tennis balls and rugby ball generally loves Kong products. I have found them good value, well designed and durable.Fab.

Had a similar toy before, but he let it go out to sea! That's the problem with floaty toys.I was disappointed that it's covered in tennis ball fabric; not good for his teeth! Also there's a knot at the end of the rope- when I threw it, it nearly tore my hand open. Ouch. So, yes the boy likes it but I don't think it's as good as the previous one.
