They say:‘A palatable gel containing a multi-enzyme complex that supplements and improves the animals own natural salivary system. Contains a surfactant which keeps in contact with teeth to help break down existing plaque. Contains a finger brush to aid application; but can be used with or without brushing.’Verdict:I had researched and read up on enzymatic toothpastes and gels and felt this gel has the perfect balance of good reviews and a decent price. Though results are promised without brushing, it is obvious the gel is going to have a greater impact if the teeth are actively and consistently brushed.Palatability – my dog absolutely loves this stuff. He goes nuts when he sees it,even though he hates having his teeth brushed. It’s a job getting it on his teeth before he can lick it, and in this regard I prefer to use a Lintbells Microfibre Tooth Cleaner which gives better results than regular toothbrushes and finger brushes. I feel it is simpler to use and reliable, as you can make sure every tooth is cleaned and problem areas can be focussed on. The consistency of the gel is a bit more runny than other toothpastes, but I haven’t found this to be much of a problem.I would like to add that this is used as part of a more complete oral healthcare routine, which I will touch upon. As it is the combination that has given results, the exact power of the gel alone is difficult to gauge. However, I believe it works and my dog loves it. His teeth are brushed daily and I use ProDen PlaqueOff granules which are added to his food every day. He also has a daily DentaStix and has plenty of chew toys and dental toys which promote gum health and help prevent tartar build up.Given how this has improved PJ’s attitude toward teeth cleaning, I will definitely stick with it.Positive:- Great palatability- Can be used with and without brushing- Teeth cleaning has a positive spin nowNegative:- Tube can get messy if stored improperly

I have toy dogs, and keeping their teeth tartar free is a constant battle. I have tried many products, giving each a fair trial of several months, and have come to the conclusion that the Logic gel gives the best balance of effectiveness/palatability. To compare:Petzlife gel - very effective but the dogs hate it (even the salmon flavour) and I was uneasy about long term use of some of the ingredients.Tropiclean gel - effective, but very runny, hated by the dogs, and again I'm uneasy about some of the ingredients.CET paste - the dogs like it, but it was difficult to use, I couldn't see much effect, and it set like concrete on ears and any other fur it touched!Supermarket pet toothpaste - useless, except as a pleasant taste to get a puppy used to the process.Logic gel - effective, good consistency (I particularly like the narrow nozzle for small dogs) and palatable enough that the dogs look forward to it as a bedtime treat.None of the effective ones are cheap - Tropiclean probably works out cheapest per ml, but I wasted a lot as it was so sloppy. And wasted even more throwing it away because I did not want tooth cleaning to become intolerable for my dogs. I combine daily use of the gel (brushing or rubbing onto the worst affected teeth) with a tiny daily dose of PlaqueOff and regular RMBs and other suitable chews. If I ease up on any part of this routine even for a week or two the difference to their teeth is noticeable, and there will be a build up of tartar that even the PlaqueOff may not be able to soften. The total cost of the PlaqueOff and the Logic Gel for two toy dogs is under £40 a year - much less, and much safer, than dealing with the effects of tooth and gum disease.

I work in a veterinary practice and spend a lot of time talking to clients about the importance of daily dental care for their pets. Then I go home and completely forget to look after my own dog's teeth. To my embarrassment, it was pointed out a few weeks ago that some of her teeth were badly stained and tarter was beginning to form. Since then I have been using the logic gel daily and have been surprised and impressed by the turnaround. Within the first few days. the staining had noticeably reduced and now 2 weeks later about 50% of the tarter has disappeared too.er breath is a lot fresher now too. I use a closed mouth brushing technique where the dog's mouth is closed and you just brush the outside of the teeth and gums.I started just with the toothpaste on my finger, smearing one dod down each side of the mouth - making sure to get all the way to the back, and then an extra dod for the teeth at the front and the big canine teeth. This toothpaste is enzymatic so it does work without brushing. It works best with prolonged contact with the teeth so is best done when the dog won't be eating soon after, last thing at night is ideal.Brushing will help get it into all the nooks and crannys if you can manage it. Once my dog was used to the procedure I started using the fingerbrush that comes in the pack, she happily accepts (she loves the taste and will do anything for food) this now and I will soon move on to a proper brush. No toothpaste will remove thick tarter or save rotten teeth - If things have gone this far then you need to see your vet about getting dental work done. But this will help prevent the build-up of bacteria and stop problems developing in a healthy mouth.

Have been using this every other day on my greyhound cross. He's only ~2 1/2 (adopted 4 months ago) but I could start to see the early signs of gum disease, and he had tartar build up especially on his back teeth. Within two weeks the black tartar around the top of his teeth has turned to a light brown and the rest of his teeth are very white, tempted to use the stuff myself.Taste wise, he seemed ok with it at the beginning but I do have to hold his head against me when I use the little blue finger brush, bit fiddly as with one hand your brushing and the other holding dog jowls but that would be the same with any dog toothpaste. He's not a huge fan of teeth cleaning time but it only takes a second, you don't have to brush just make sure he eats/licks the toothpaste. He always gets a duck strip treat after so he's happy. In terms of value for money I'd say pretty good. I was sceptical when it said use 5cm daily for my size/weight dog. And its a 70g tube, but there is plenty left, and when pricing it into a monthly dog budget the cost is quite minimal (compared to food/flee and worm etc).Definitely a must for owners whose dogs don't like chew toys or bone treats. I can also recommend filling a Kong with treats as they use their teeth to get at it. Seeing as dental hygiene for greyhounds specifically is very important, as they seem to have more dental problems than other breeds, I would highly recommend this toothpaste. As did my vet on our usual check up. Best price I've found so far!

I have used this product on our cat Opal. Opal is a small cat, with not much of a bite so she is not the hardest pet to deal with. Mind you, the claws on the end of her arms are something else!!It is difficult to apply this solution (or paste yourself) for one reason or another but other users here have found ways and means. Our cat has a very small mouth being a very small cat.If the teeth are scaled, the enclosed brush is useful. The rubber nubbins on it are very gentle indeed but you may still see a little bleeding on the gum. Just use a very gentle massaging motion with the finger brush.I also gently massage the lotion/paste in to the gum wearing a rubber glove. As for the results, it works.Inflamed gums DO calm down and return to a nice pink colour; bad breath also seems to be abated. The flavouring works in your favour too so even if the cat is grumbling at you or even spits, he/she will also be licking its lips. The use of the paste had never made our cat sick.Yes - they will lick it off their paws if it is put there. You may also need to apply wipes around the facial/mouth area too as it is a bit sticky as it drys in the fur.I have applied it once for 3 days a week when something flares up, then once a week to keep things as they are.It works so I recommend it, but watch what you feed your cat - some of the biscuits out there are a bit hard and we have found that smaller cats get on better with softer biscuits or those designed for older cars.

I don't often take time to write reviews but on this occasion I feel this product is worthy of a few minutes of my time. As a dedicated, lifelong and devoted dog lover, I would always try to keep on top of our dogs' oral health and of course wanted the best for them all. I have tried many different pet toothpastes and products over the years and have found Logic Oral Hygiene Gel to be the best. Yes it may be slightly more expensive than some others but the results are more than worth it and only a very small amount of the product is needed to maintain good oral health. Our dogs also liked the flavour and while I mostly used a dog toothbrush, the finger brush included with the gel is very useful too.Used regularly, none of our latest 4 dogs ever developed any dental issues and this gel really did keep plaque at bay. During regular check ups, a number of different veterinarians within the practice we use would all remark on how healthy our dogs' teeth were, particularly given the age of some of the older ones. I wouldn't use anything else and would highly recommend it. Hope you find this informative and useful.Read full review...

Recommended by our vet.Our 16 year old collie dog's breath was an issue when we took him with us in our car. "Shandy" our pet's body was in the best luxury seat in our boot, but his breath was up our nose.....The worst time is in warm/hotter weather even with all our car windows wound down; the smell permeated the cabin! We were offered this product, firstly, after visiting the vets with another problem that Shandy was suffering from. Our vet noted his teeth and condition of his gums and gave us this 'malt flavoured cream coloured gel' to use.It works. Shandy likes it and that's all that matters, so we aren't too bothered due to his age to try experimenting with other types of teeth cleaner for dogs. How do we apply it?With a finger toothbrush. If you don't want to tackle your pet (dog or cat) in fear of losing a digit...... then just apply a blob into their mouth/onto their paw and they will lick it off - due to the 'pleasant for pets' taste.Give it a go and save yourself wearing your thick coat, hat and gloves whilst driving with your halitosis pet.....in Spring or Autumn.

I have 3 cats and a 10 mth old puppy. The eldest cat loves this and each morning is anxiously awaiting his 'dose'. For the puppy I use a toothbrush, she doesn't mind and licks any remnants off the brush afterwards. For the cats they aren't impressed at my poking around in their mouths with anything, so I simply let them lick it off my fingers, the 3rd cat doesn't like so she gets it on the paw to lick off.I've had pets for years and in my ignorance didn't know to brush their teeth, vets had never told me it's an important routine and I have been to a few different vets over the years. This year at my vets they stressed the importance and said insurance companies have started to refuse claims for dental work unless owners can prove looking after their pets teeth. The vet said in fairness vets have themselves traditionally not been good at stressing toothbrusing, but the world moves forward... I await all 4's next annual check up and jabs and hope to hear how beautiful their teeth are and that signs of plague on the cats has significantly improved or gone!

I spent a bit of time comparing toothpastes and trying to decide which to go for. Based on the high amount of positive reviews this Logic toothpaste I had I decided to give it a go and I'm not disappointed. My puppy is only 6 months so she has no problems with her teeth yet however her breath was starting to go from pleasant to typical 'dog breath' and I also want to prevent gum disease etc. I've been using the toothpaste for a couple of weeks now (once every evening I rub it along her gum line) and I've noticed a big improvement her breath doesn't smell of anything I'm impressed. I can't comment on anything else the toothpaste should be doing i.e.removing plaque etc because I haven't been monitoring that but her gums and teeth seem fine so it must be helping. The paste came with a small finger toothbrush which I try to use some of the time but it is a bit awkward to use on her. Puppy seems to like the taste a lot and is keen every time she sees me get the product out. I do recommend giving this toothpaste a go.

Fantastic stuff! My eldest cat has had teeth out twice and has had thick tartar build up again since, plus redness around his gums. I've been rubbing this on the obvious tartar in particular for about 4-5 weeks now just with my finger (he's not keen but lets me, just) and the biggest bit of tartar on one tooth (and we're talking seriously big chunk - about the size of half a cat's tooth) has just come off this morning with a bit of help from my finger nail!!! So pleased as this has got to reduce his chances of needing more teeth extractions. There's still more to come off the other teeth and the redness is still present but I'd been focussing in particular on rubbing it on the biggest bit and that has paid off magnificently.I know now that it works so we'll be continuing to get rid of the rest. I'd recommend it to anyone whose cat is showing tartar because I've just proved that it really works to reduce the tartar's hold on the tooth. (It's quite sad how excited I'm feeling about this breakthrough!)

I was advised to try this toothpaste for my dog after speaking to several people in a Facebook page I belong to called 'Oh ShihTzu'. My dog is 13 now and the thought of him being put under for a teeth clean is worrying due to his age as I feel it would kill him. I did initially try their chews but they were far too hard for both my Shih Tzu and Jack Chi to even bite into. So after much discussion, I was advised to try this toothpaste. All I can say is in a month, I have seen changes to my dogs teeth and he lives the flavour. It come with an extended nozzle to apply direct to the teeth and a blue coloured finger tip rubber toothbrush. It's been a challenge to get it on the teeth in the first place but we are getting there.I now do a combo of attempted brushing and squeezing the extended nozzle. My Shih Tzu has an unusually layout of minimal teeth which he has had since we rescued him at 3 yrs old but now he is finally accepting the regime ?. So far no fingers lost but his teeth are getting better.

I searched and searched for a treatment I thought my cat would tolerate as she is starting to get gingivitis. The vet recommended something using enzymes, but at first I discounted toothpaste and there was no way my cat would let me brush her teeth! I looked at powered stuff to go in her food or drink.. but it was hard to find anything using enzymes.I circled back around to this toothpaste as it had good reviews and uses enzymes, and I was very happy to read in the reviews that you can pop some on your cat's paw for them to lick off - no brushing! I decided to give it a try, still a little worried my cat wouldn't like it.Turns out she loves it! What ever it tastes like, it's a taste she loves!:D Very pleased. She happily licks up her dose everyday. I can't say how well it's working on her teeth and gums yet - It's way too early to tell, but I'll defiantly be getting the vet to check on her next appointment (she really fights against anyone opening her mouth).

After expensive dental surgery I needed something to keep my cats teeth healthy. He is not really much of a biscuit eater and doesn't really like to chew anything if he can help it.This is great. The tube is about the size of a regular toothpaste tube and contains loads of gel. The gel is cream coloured and you only need a pea sized amount per animal. It comes with a dispenser attachment (if needed) and a silicone finger brushMy cat is head shy, so I can't use the finger brush, but he will eat this straight from the tube and comes running if he hears it coming out of the cupboard. For my second cat, I put some on my finger and then 'smudge' it onto the top of his paw, where he will happily lick it.However, make sure you do mix it a little with the animal fur, as they have a tendency to shake their paw as soon as you apply it and the gel goes flying!Have already bought more than one tube and will continue to use. Wish I'd heard of this earlier

I have a two year old Rough Collie who does not like her teeth brushed being a dog owner for over Fifty years I am well aware of the need to look after there teeth Our previous Rough Collie would not have his teeth looked at and at the Age of Fourteen had to have four teeth out.The Vet that we were using them was a money maker and told us he was fine to take the operation although I was concerned .However the poor dog went on for twelve months after but he was never a well dog. When we had this dog we said that we would have to try and look after hers as best we could ,she likes her groom etc but she will only open her mouth so you can see the front teeth ,so with the help of Logic we areconcentrating on her back teeth by using our finger but it does seem to be working on the front and we have only been using it a short while. We hope it works on the rear as well .,we will nee able to tell when we can get her mouth apart on the grooming table.

We bought this for our cat, Milo, after unsuccessfully trying a different (cheaper) pet toothpaste. Initially, Milo wasn't sure, but now he gets excited whenever we bring the tube out. This process took several stages, starting with putting it on his paw and letting him lick it off, as recommended in the instructions for finicky cats. We then progressed on to putting the paste on the small finger brush (provided), and letting him lick it off. We are now moving to the final stage of actually attempting to brush his teeth, which he still isn't sure about.Pros:- Cat enjoys the taste- Vet said his teeth are very good- Supposedly works even without brushing- Applicator nozzle and finger brush includedCons:- Metal tube,so has got a small split in it due to wear and tear, which I had to repair with sellotape- Pricier than other pet toothpastes (but is much cheaper on Amazon than in pet shops)Overall, I would recommend this product.
