My first impressions have been good, they are good quality and nice style and the eco cut means that your legs dont bellow out in the winds, I have not fully field tested these trousers yet but I do not anticipate any problems. That said they are a spring/summer item and thermals would be required in winter.

These Trecking Pants from Vaude, are light, water resistant, comfortable and versatile, with pull chord bottoms, and zip release under knees for conversion to shorts. Just the job for hiking or general outdoors use, come rain or shine...happy walking :).

really good quality trousers suitable for spring and summer hikes. bought two pairs of these and they come with lot of features; fit is slightly longer and slim; and also not suitable for super wet conditions because of the quick dry light material

Bought these for my boyfriend as one of his Christmas presents. They fit him perfectly and he thinks they are great. He says the material is good and there are plenty of different zipped pockets for storing items such as keys etc.
