Bought this primarily for installing a long Cat6 run. It's a lot of money for just one run but it gives me confidence that I have wired it correctly and that it will work properly first time. I ran the wire, put on the Cat6 ends, put on the tester and remote, turned it on and everthing tested ok. Pluged in my computer and it worked first time.I had a Cat5 cable that had a broken lock clip on the end. I cut off both ends and replaced them. Pluged in the tester with loopback and it tested ok as well. I ran the cat5 to my printer and printed out a test page. Works as expected.Now I am thinking of creating custom lengths of network cable especially for my networking components...switch, router,
