A must have, 5 star game! After years of trying to create less complex, mini-game orientated spin-offs it seems EA are now keen to see the PC and console The Sims games converge. This new iteration is an expansion pack on the PC but a full price, stand alone game on the consoles. As the name subtly hints the main addition to the game this time round is a number of four-legged friends, plus fish and birds (although it's really cats and dogs that get most of the attention). You can also create your own personalised pet via a complex customisation tool that's just as versatile as the one for humans and on the PC version you can even send your four-legged friend to work! Most exciting moment:On the PC this is a perfectly welcome but very narrow expansion. However the full price console version is actually a considerable improvement on the original with an easier-to-use interface, better artificial intelligence and even reduced loading times.Since you ask:The next PC expansion pack is called In Season and seems to be roughly analogous to The Sims expansion On Holiday, in that it'll focus on exterior objects and locations. It's not yet clear whether there'll be a console version. The bottom line:Finally, The Sims is made to work on consoles!-HARRISON DENTManufacturer's DescriptionFrom scampering pooches to cuddly kittens, now you can add a new furry friend to your Sims' lives. Choose from popular dog and cat breeds like Golden Retrievers, German Shepherds, Persians, and Siamese or customize their appearance and personality to create a unique pet for your Sim to raise as one of the family. Your Sims will enjoy teaching their pets tricks, taking them to the park, caring for them, and outfitting them with new accessories. But keep one thing in mind Sims' pets have minds of their own, so be sure to expect the unexpected! On Nintendo DS as the town vet of Whiskerton, nestled in the hills of Paw Valley, you'll have a chance to heal, train and care for a wide variety of local dogs and cats.Watch your self esteem, come on have fun and buy it!!!:):):):)

I am a huge Sims fan. I have nearly all of the Expansion and Stuff packs for PC, and many for the other consoles such as Wii and DS.This game is one of my favourites. It is focused on running a veterinary clinic for cats and dogs only, and you also own a cat or dog of your own. The storyline is simple - you make your character, make your dog, move into the home/clinic, start examining the clients' pets and taking them in to care for and tend to, before returning them in a newly healthy condition and recieving payment in return. The graphics are okay, quite good for the DS. Nowhere near the standard of the PC version, but of course PCs have much better graphics than DS's. Overall,it has better grahics than many of my much newer DS games, and better graphics than the awful Sims 3 on DS.The creativity is quite limited. You make your character at the start, using very limited clothing and faces, colours for skin and hair, etc. Then you create your pet, which is worse. You can only alter the basics like body shape, coat colour, etc.The fun factor is the best factor. It's a simple game, but very, very fun. I enjoyed spending money on buying furniture for the clinic/home, buying bigger houses (there are three different ones, each bigger than the last), and buying sewing patterns and materials for the great activity of using the sewing machine (honestly not a joke - I love it.)I love this game, one of my favourites, great addition to The Sims games. Definitely buy it. The only reason it isn't 3+ is because it's too complicated for very young children to understand.

I must admit when I first got this game I was disappointed and put it away for a few months or so. Later coming back to it I realised it wasn't as bad as I originally thought. Nothing was really well explained at how to do things, but once picked up it became very addictive. Everything is sadly repetitive but it's worth a go if you're into animals.

I love the sims. But when i got this it was even better. Its great to dress your cats&dogs and even yourself. You have £10.000 to start with but u have to get a job.Dress your person every day decorate your else buy a trampoline, jacuzi and even a water fountain. Lok after stray dogs and abandoned ones.
