First of all, I am a musician and keep listening to loads and loads of genres of music... I like equal and ADEQUATE importance given to both lower end and the higher end of the EQ. For this very reason I was stuck with beats and my seinheiser studio around the ear ones for a very long time. However I wanted one mobile and easy to use earphones for my travel use. I had used the House Of Marley - positive vibration on the ear headphones earlier and almost replaced my expensive beats with it...Since I had confidence with the company, I decided to get this based on reviews and man that was one decision I will never regret :)Coming to this earphones, obviously we all expect great quality sound in our earphones and this has so far been the best earphones I have owned till date. It is for the loss of quality that I never use earphones much and always stick to headphones, however this one changed my habit. Amazing depth of both bassy ends and the higher ends. Very crisp, and clear, very high fidelity, No distortion or jaring of sounds even at the highest of volume. On that note - these earphones with their relatively large driver unit can be extremely loud. So no matter how crowded your place is... nothing will disturb your music or whatever you want to listen to.Not to mention the outstanding noise reduction capabilities... I mean its real. I cant hear what the person next to me speaks when this is plugged in - even when the music is muted. Its that good. Imagine the sounds inside a few london underground tubes - its cuts it all.. and my music is crystal clear. Man I was so glad with this. And because of the same property - No matter how loud your music is and how silent the elevator (you are in) is, the people around you cannot hear what you are listening to.. isn't that awesome? Finally I wasnted to directly compare in my studio setup with my pro headphones while music mixing. The Zion Mist did not disappoint me.Obviously It will not have the exact punch on bass to high frequencies as a professional Seinheiser headphones.. but I am extremely happy to use this instead of my Beats headphones as I see very very minute difference in sound quality between them.Update: I dropped the earphones (both L and R) in water. completely submerged. I was worried as hell. To my surprise the music was still playing when I tool it out. I immediately dried it using some tissues and some air blow (from my mouth). They are working absolutely fine as if nothing ever happened. No difference in sound quality.Great build quality, not so easy to break or pull a wire. wires never and I mean never tangles, outstanding sound quality. I dont know what else to comment on .Finally thank to Amazon for shipping it to me so quickly :) you guys are the best :)

I was looking at these in store in HMV when I nearly bought them there and then for £99.99 after reading a couple of tech reviews on audio blogs on my phone. However, I thought I would just check the price on Amazon and if they were the same I'd have just got from HMV as I was gonna do a lot of walking that weekend. However, I checked Amazon and - HALF PRICE! £99..99 everywhere else but Amazon have them for £50.If I have paid £100, they would get a 4 star for overall rating. Excellent sound quality for the price - a GOOD amount of bass - not muddied over exaggerated bass like the rubbish that is made with a beats logo on, but good bass. I listen to music of all styles being that I own around 2500 CD albums, but of course I had to start with some Bob. Not just the Legend Album but all studio albums, the entire remastered back catalogue and they all sound amazing. Clear bass, the steel drums pop and ping brightly with sublime and clear vocal range - really good. Metallica - soaring guitars, clear drums and again thumping and clear bass. Modd Deep's Hell On Earth - the bass definately shines here withouh ruining the rest of the sound production. Hip hop people should definitely be looking at these rather than beats phones because you get bass AND clear mids and highs, rather than just a muddied over exaggerated mess for R&B.So, would I be happy paying £100 for them - YES. Would I buy them again if they broke - heck YES. But for £50 on offer - these have to be the steal in-ear headphones of the century.

Having lost my last set of Market in a gas station, I immediately ordered this model again from Amazon. Write now that I'm writing this review I'm listening with my super clear headphones. These are vintage style headphones with built-in mic.The nice thing about these is that the button on wire lets you change tracks (tap tap)(tap tap tap), fast forward (tap-hold), or pause (tap). Also you will have a chance to talk to siri if you (hold) the button. There are two volume buttons as well to help you adjust the volume. Many of my last headphones, usually one of the earsets ended up not working or the wire getting cut off from putting my phone in the pocket and listening to music with headphones. However, the quality of wire is so good that after 2 years using the previous one, I'm sure this new one I bought from amazon will work too. The wire is coated with some of kind of string which makes it look very pretty and easy to grip as well and overall the quality of it great! In terms of using them in a gym, you can do as the earset comes with ear pads in different sizes so they will grip in your ear well and won't tire your ear holes in a long listening session (Being comfortable headphones). It also comes with a vintage pocket for you to store your headphones in when you want to put it in your pocket. I haven't used it at all and my headphones are still working. They definitely had set a high factor of safety when designing these headphones.Well Done House of Marley. Well Done...

After having looked at popular brands and hearing of rave reviews about the House of Marley headphones I decided to purchase the Zion Midnight in ear headphones. These headphones met my expectations, the sound is brilliant with heavy bass tones in hip hop, striking mid and highs in rock and great treble in jazz music. They can be used for a wide variety of genres, however, I do think they are geared more towards tunes with a punchy bass.I used the medium size single cone plugs which provided a full seal, these headphones come with a variety of double and single cone plugs to suit anyone's ears. The woven cord is excellent in keeping these headphones tangle free and provides and extra layer ofprotections against the wear and tear of the wire. The 3 button remote control works perfectly with my iPhone as well iPod nano (I own a 6th generation) and I'm sure with other Apple products. However, I have not tested these out on other smartphone brands.I chose Midnight colour purely because my phone is the same colour and the remote portion of the headphones is black.I would recommend these to anyone who is in need of a sturdy, great sounding pair of headphones for travel, home use and wants the handy remote functionality.

Now, these were purchased as refurbished, but as soon as i put them in, i knew these were high quality.I've owned Cx 300, Soundmagic e10, JVC XX, Klipsch S4, RHA Ma 350, but these Zions honestly they have soo much punch in the bass that you can feel it in your chest, but this is something i wasn't expecting, the Highs and Mids to be as good as you cant get for under £100 earphones, they blow all other earphones out of the way nothing compares to these Zions in terms of base produced and how clear and well defined the highs an mids are. However i do pretty much only listen to DnB, Dubstep, Rap, RnB, Dance and a bit of Hip Hop, these earphones are quite deep and the sound-stage is quite small, but you can hear every bit of detail. Just make sure the bit rate for your music files is 320kbps as with earphones like these it will make a massive difference. SO for classical or rock listeners these would be great but not as good as others. Its good to point out that, i was using and iPhone 4, with the app Tuneshell to listen to my music, and using Tuneshells built in EQ i set it to the RnB settings, because i prefer a deeper sound to a high, Irritating one, but even on the RnB setting the highs and mids were perfect.

The 3 button controller is iOS only which isn't the issue - it's the very plastic construction which feels wobbly. It's not filling me with hope and, because it sits on the join between the two wires, it's too far away from your mouth if you want to conduct a conversation via the microphone. I think it would have been better for HOM to concentrate on the headphone construction which is, generally speaking, very impressive. The wood accents are a lovely addition. A mix of bud sizes is very handy, particularly for me and my small ears. The anti-tangle wire is a good idea and, as far as I can tell, successful. However, it is prone to annoying kinking and winding into little loops. The bass is very impressive, without draining the life out of other aspects of the range. It's natural and full but nothing excessive. The sound in general is good, not outstanding, but definitely worth the £50 paid. They are from the most balanced earphones I've heard but this is a Marley range - and how marvellous Bob sounds on these.Pleased with the purchase thus far but I would question spending the £99 RRP.

So, Monster Beats are faulty - what to do. Scan the web and pick out next pair of in-ear phones for when on the move. Now, I'm a bit of an audiophile, hence a history of Sennheiser and Monster headphones. But I baulk at £150-£200 for Klipsch only to be used on mp3 ripped tracks. Then I came across The House Of Marley. The Zion Mists arrived a couple of hours ago - and haven't been out of my ears since.Solid construction (with a nod to renewable/recyclable materials) a braided cord which should last longer than rubber counterparts, and a wide variety of rubber earplugs. Now here's the thing, different earplugs also change the range of frequencies heard!!! So,moving from the single large plugs which deliver a more rounded bass-driven sound to the double ridge plugs actually tempers down the bass and brings out the best of the midrange and treble in particular. In fact, just right for vocal albums. Switch back to the single plugs for driving rock.I hope to update this review once I've used them on a mobile phone call, until then though, they easily rate the full five stars.

These earphones are of excellent build quality - you can definitely see why they are far more expensive than some of the other Marley earphone range. That being said, however, they are far less bassy than the 'People Get Ready' Marley earphones - a fact I wish I knew before I purchased this pair. Whilst they do have a good range of sounds, and do have good sound quality, I am a bit of a bass-fanatic, and these earphones don't quite give dubstep, EDM, or other bass-heavy genres the bass they require. The various earbud attachments are very good - the mixture of single and double-flange sets is a nice bonus, as I have multiple ear piercings that make certain earbuds difficult to wear. The non-tangle cord is also beneficial, making unravelling them much faster than other earphones I have owned.Overall, they are very good quality earphones, they look sleek and stylish, and are of excellent build quality, but if you are after bass, I would not recommend them.

Honestly I have never tried any other in ear at this price range. But I felt the Zion midnight is a relatively good choice for hip hop/bass lover. The bass was powerful, full and rich. As other mention, yes it does muffle the mid range a little but still acceptable. The solution to this will be using the double bud ear buds..I felt it does improve the midrange, by sort of isolating the bass a little bit, which then will be much easy on the ears for pop songs these days. Not to miss that the build quality is very good. Feels premium. The only negative bit is that it only works with apple product for the caller function. And also there is no distinguishable part to know which is the left/right besides looking at the print below the wooden piece.Overall I am happy with this purchase at amazon for half the price. For the full price of 99£ , I am pretty sure there will be better in ears out there.

I bought these two and a half years ago. They have endured heavy use all that time, so i thought i'd give praise where it's due. So here's the positives:- extremely durable. I jog with them aprx twice a week. That equals a lot of friction, bouncing, sweat, but theres no sign of trouble. Even the 3 button controller works flawlessly, which i thought would suffer from moisture eventually.- sound quality is perfect for my taste. Quite enough bass but its still very balanced.- love the design, which is not the basic piece of futuristically shaped plastic- the controller works perfectly with iPhones 4 and 6. With Lumia not so.The only negative is the cord being quite noisy, even with slightest movement.Adequate listening volume compensates this, though.Over all, they,re nearly perfect and i will definitely get a replacement, if lost or broken (not likely).

Just had these delivered and have given them a quick test - the sound quality is amazing. Seriously. Fingers crossed I don't experience issues like some have mentioned (e.g. one earphone stops working) so will look after these babies extra carefully. The storage pouch is maybe a little small for the earphones and inline remote to all fit in together before pouch is closed, so having to stuff it all into such a small space possibly contributes to cable wear and tear resulting in loss of audio...? I've opted to use a slightly bigger storage pouch from a previous set of earphones and it fits better. All in all, you probably can't fault these for around £42.Recently bought a pair of Bose for almost 3 times as much and they're not a patch on the Marleys! Hoping my search for a decent set of earphones is eventually over. :-)

I found these In-Ears on a 50% discount (about 49£ down from 99£) and must say that i'm very satisfied, but I wouldn't recommend them at full price. This is the sort of sound quality you would expect from a 50£ range. They are very comfortable with soft ear pieces and a cord with rasafari colors that is easy to untangle. The design yells personality that other will notice. The bass is decent and the treble is ok, but compaired to my other B&W C5 In-ears (that are more uncomfortable) the treble and mid-range clearly misses some clearness and details. Not good enough if you buy them at full price.I bought these in-ears because I needed a set that I can wear for a very long time while I work, and have a decent sound. By thoes demands Zion is a very, very good purchase.

Had these a few months now, and I can now say they are really good earphones!Firstly the build quality is exceptional, which is the real selling point of these whereby the braided cable feels rugged and all the rubber connection points feel strong and sturdy. The carry case and extra tips are a nice touch, as you would expect from something in this price range. The sound quality at first is so so and you are left feeling that the mids are lacking slightly. After the burn-in period these sound much better and balanced; producing a pleasant sound.Overall very happy with these and you get what you pay for, as I've had a couple of cheaper pairs that have broken recently, but with these you can feel they will last a long time.

The sound quality is superb: better than the Shure SE215s I had before (before they broke, that is), but the design is let down by one small flaw: the braided leads make a noise like sawing wood every time they rub across my 5-o'clock shadowed face. Keep perfectly still and the sound is perfect. Move, and the noise starts. This would be solved by an over-ear design.I am planning to cut off the over-ear bits off of my Shure, sew them onto the top of the Marley leads, and convert them to over-ear phones. Hopefully this will cure it.(Added later): It did!

I got this headphones since 6 months now, I used them 5-6 hours per days and I still love them. They have a really hight isolation level (perfect for the plane or the tube). The sound is just well balance for reggae listener, a good and deep bass but also nice medium and hight. The only cons is maybe the remote control location (at the 2 cables junction), I would have preferred on a side like the original Apple.Anyway, you can buy eyes closed
