Just got the product today and wanted to try them out quickly and plugged them into the laptop - my heart sank, the audio was really thick and heavy sounding, almost muffled. Thankfully this was quickly remedied by using some EQ from the realtek drivers that came with the laptop (no EQ applied previously). What it boiled down to was the treble needing a boost, which wasn't something I had to do with the two pairs of earphones I previously owned. This is where it loses a star but the (current) price, look and the earclip to keep them from falling off are all great. For whatever reason the terrible audio was not really noticeable when plugging into an ipod (different default EQ perhaps).I gave the treble a little boost again and may have to fiddle more in the future to get the most out of them but quite happy at the moment. To talk about the earclip, I've got "normal size" ears (adult male) and they stay put just fine. Some other reviewers also mentioned they've "normal size" ears and were falling off. I tried them on an adult female (again, "normal" size ears, but normal is subjective here and in other reviews) and they stayed put there as well, so I've no easy answer for if the clip will give you a secure fit.To get the earphones off I have to pull them out to remove the earbud part, and up to get the clip that goes over the ear (that rests similar to a pair of glasses) off. I can't see a way they're coming off me otherwise. The clip itself is a flexible rubber and the rubberised part can slide up to 1 cm from it's initial position to help with the fit if need be. (In current picture for blue and silver, earphone on the left, marked R, is without moving it/flush, earphone on right, marked L, is moved about halfway). The information regarding 5 selectable positions is accurate. This is a knee-jerk review. Will update if there are any issues in regards to comfort when wearing them for extended periods and durability/wear.[UPDATE 11th April 2014] So far so good! My ear did get a little sore after the first day or so, but it seems it was a case of getting used to them and it subsided fairly quickly.

I have bought a number of more expensive headphones described as being 'sport' or 'waterproof' and so far they have all either broken after a couple of months (I sweat a lot when I'm training) or the sound quality has been awful. These headphones were a pittance and I was dubious when I ordered them but thought - they're that cheap that it wouldn't be a drama if I had to buy more so why not?Positive: Sound is really loud considering they aren't 'in-ear' headphones (they sit just against the ear canal with a funnelled part of the speaker pointing into your ear). When I'm just sitting around or walking and listening to music, having the volume on max is far too loud! This however is ideal for in the gym,or when out running, or anywhere else there is background noise that needs to be blocked out. Once adjusted the hooks fit nicely and stay on without any issues though this will be subjective. The ear-hooks are adjustable. They feel fairly sturdy. They are extremely cheap.Negative: Not 'in-ear' and there is no option to change the rubber thing on the speaker. They look a bit ropey in as much as they aren't a fashion statement, and the garish blue are cheaper than the silver or black versions. The sound whilst loud isn't going to impress with the bass and treble balance. That said you aren't buying them for dj-ing or listening to the latest 50-shades audio-book.Summary: Cheap, loud and comfortable but wouldn't look out of place worn with a bumbag and your mum's neon coloured lycra spin-class outfit.

For the price I can not fault these headphones. Let me make my criteria for buying these clear - I was training for the London Marathon and wanted a cheap set of headphones which would be comfortable through my training runs of 2-3 hours a few times a week.Although the sound quality wasn't as good as some of the Skull Candy in-ear buds I've been using more recently, it was still clear enough for me when running (the sound of traffic, my own breathing e.t.c. soon masked the less than perfect sound quality). More important to me was that I could run 18 miles in these without discomfort or the annoyance of having to put the headphones back in - something that all my existing headphones couldn't do.These headphones didn't come off once which isn't surprising as they wrap completely round the top and back of the ear. Furthermore, the adjustable size of the headphones allowed me to fit the each earbud comforably. The only thing that stopped this being a 5 star review is that ocassionally the mechanism which allowed the earbuds to be resized would make a small creaking/clicking sound for a few miles half way through a training run - having said that they did hold upto the sweat and weather conditions associated with winter running. In the end they were impressive enough that I decided to wear one earphone whilst running the marathon with the idea that at this under £7 i could happily throw them out should they become annoying.

I'm very happy with this product so far. I bought some Sennheiser Sport earphones in a local Maplins for £19.95 and although the sound quality is great on the Sennheiser's and have a superior sound output to this product (as expected), but I have difficult with the Sennheiser Sport earphones staying in my ears. So although I use double the volume control when these JVC's are plugged into my various devices and the texture of the sound quality is just satisfactory, in comparison to the Sennheiser's superior sound quality and volume, I am very happy that these do not pop out of my ears every 45 minutes or so, when out and about. They are very comfortable.I am yet to see how long the jack connection lasts, but I'm very satisfied with this product, considering the small amount I purchased them for. I will try to remember to update my review and post in here when the jack wears out. If they last more than 12mths, I will happily keep a permanent review score of 5/5. Thank you to everybody else who posted reviews before my own on here, as it was through reading your feedback that persuaded to buy what I currently consider to be a successful purchase. Best Wishes

I bought these headphones to wear while out running. I saw the same pair elsewhere for £20 so the low price I paid here is definitely a plus. The headphones themselves are well built and do not feel too flimsy which was one of the worries I had about buying them at first. I usually keep them in my gym bag which means they've had things stuffed on top of them and taken a few knocks. I've even accidentally stood on them but they still work as well as the first time I used them. The quality of the sound is on par with the iPod headphones I was replacing. The headphones are comfortable to wear; the earbud fits snugly inside my ear and the adjustable clip makes sure they stay in place.I've been out running and got caught in rain and wind but the headphones have stayed put. I use the clip on the lowest setting but my ears are not that small so people who have small ears may have problems with the headphones staying in place. All in all I am happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a pair of sports headphones.

Second pair I've owned, would've been my fifth had I not stupidly tried other earphones for running. The sound quality isn't top notch but when I'm in the gym & running I genuinely don't care as long as I can hear the music. My ears don't keep ear buds in so the plastic over-ear supports are awesome. Not completely pointless like the poxy thin bit of rubber you get on most nowadays. That's what sold me on these in the first place. They will bounce out of place ever so slightly while you're running like with every other earphone, however these go back in with a little prod so you're not fannying around re-setting them while you're trying to keep your pace. They really sit in place so much better than the rest that I forgive the wee small difference in quality. They're plenty loud enough and really hardwearing. I can't fault them & I wouldn't have a different pair if you paid me. And I'm a total audio snob ? If you work out a lot and want minimum fuss with the best sound quality at this price range, you don't want to look any further. Read full review...

I have owned 3 pairs of these headphones and they are very good for the price. I use them for the gym and they are excellent for running and exercising with. They have a long cord that allows me to keep my ipod in my pocket and the adjustable ear pieces mean that they fit to your ears. The sound quality is excellent and the ear pieces cancel out external noise too without falling out of giving you that feeling that something is wedged in your ear. Now, for the downside. Sadly these headphones will only last for around 6-8 months if you used them for regular gym use, as the sweat and wear and tear usually sees one of the ear speakers go. The wiring is just not robust enough for long term durability and I have also lost a bud cover on one set,but they are so well made that the ear bud covers never really come off through general use or fall our out of your ears. If these headphones where constructed with more durable materials, they would get a 5 but at this price, they are good value for money and a must for gym or sports users.

these are great but to cut down time ill list the pros and cons+wraps are ears and adjustable, stays for a long time during work out a must if your in "the Zone" at the gym or joggin (hasn't dropped or tumbled on me yet)+great sound, the bass is decent now the best but its great to keep you motivated+price, very cheap mine cost total of 5 pounds including delivery which was fast too (2 days)+colors, comes in 3 nice colours, i just got the silver ones are theyre the cheapestCONS- the adjustable clips feel lose at times, it doesnt firmly latch onto your ear but it does stay on there- size, if im honest i dont think this is suitable for people who have small ears as it fits perfectly on mine (and my ears are one step away from will smiths ears.- the sound,it could have been better you wont get as good quality from the bass than you would from other in-ear head phonesall in all i would recommend people who buy this use it for the gym or any other outside exercises theyre not really suited for everyday use

Like many people who loved this product, I seem to have small ear holes myself. Regular buds just squeeze right out of there and at first I thought it was because my ears were too big, until I got some buds of varying sizes and found out I could only use the very smallest ones at a push.If you are going jogging these are great. They stay on. The worst thing is for your headphones to come off, flapping around and ruining your rhythm when you're in the zone. You won't get that with these.I suppose the main thing people would get seduced by is the price. And why not, they're great value. All-in-all probably the best value sports headphones you can get - and the sound is not bad either. The only thing I would say about these is you can get a slightly more expensive version specifically for use with your smartphone that has a speaker attached for hands-free calls. This is particularly good on rainy days and for people who can't get a moments peace.

Nothing special but much better than normal headphones. I use them in the gym, they are water resistent so far, quite confortable in my ears, they don't fall while running. Makes a big difference compare with my previous ones. I found them in the local shops for about £15, so I am happy with amazon price (£6.00). Don't know if they worth the shops price, however happy with amazon's price. Item delivered in time, confortable to wear, adjustable clip to fit your ears, don't fall while running, water resistent, good for running on the treadmill. In term of sound...I can't tell too much. I am not an expert, I've just used cheap normal headphones for running in the past and I was fine with the sound quality.I've bought these headphones for practicality while running rather than quality and I am happy with them. Four out of five as there is nothing special about these but they fit the purpose.

I am a landscape gardener and a gym nut and not a particular fan of cheap stuff.first of all I bought the exact same ones from Asda for £12 and to be honest I did not think they would be all that great but to my absolute surprise they really are very impressive little things.Landscape Gardening - I'm out in all weathers, snow, rain, sun and also in some of the most messy conditions known to man. I have dropped them in a few ponds, puddles, mud, been caught on things, and even trod on them a few times, once the actual speaker came out and I just popped back in and carried on listening.Gym - They kept on going through all the sweat and tears.still never failed me thoughOn the whole of things I think they have lived up to most tests that headphones will never even get and i'm ashamed they even outlived my very expensive htc.Hope this helps anyone and everyone who reads this.

The products do feel slightly flimsy and plasticy which is not what I really expected of JVC considering I own a pair of their XXL in ear headphones. I like the fact that you can adjust the size of them to fit whatever ear shape you have, even probably able to fit a cauliflower ear!!! They are sweat resistant so you do feel that when doing a workout you aren't going to have a medical emergency when they short out in your ear but with my previous experience I've never had that issue with any headphones during working out. When running or cycling they stay in your ear thanks to the curved hook shape.I would definitely recommend these headphones if you are an active person as they are very well priced for the quality you get although if hooking onto your ear is something that really doesn't bother you then have a look at the JVC XXL series.

Bought these as a replacement quite some time ago as I was happy with the previous one (cannot remember what happened to it!).Comfy to wear and the sound is okay for the price range. The only drawback I have with these is that it doesn't have a volume control so if you are a runner then it's probably best not to get these. If you go to the gym and listen to your own music get headphones with a volume control and if you like to watch the TV whilst you are working out there then you will be fine.I use this (link below) to keep it tangle-free and although it can be a faff winding and unwinding it's better than untangling itall.https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bobino-Cord-Wrap-Small-Green/dp/B0042RVA3S/ref=sr_1_13_mimg_1_kitchen_display_on_website?ie=UTF8&qid=1509717721&sr=8-13&keywords=headphone+wrap+tidyFine to use for a laptop too.

I bought these headphones for use when running as i find standard earphones fall out my ears every few seconds. These dont move at all and the sound quality, for the low price, is decent. The length of the cord is plenty for me to tuck the cable under my jacket and out the bottom into my pocket. Ive had ones previously where they snag and get caught when i lift my head up due to the lack of length, then if they are too long they get caught on everything around you. This is ideal. Ive worn them for just under 2 hours without any discomfort so can be used for long duration and simple enough to pop on your ears. Only downfall is the jack connection support is a bit thinner than i would like, someone putting to much pressure on inserting or removing could easily cause damage which would cause the headset to be useless.

These are easily the most comfortable headphones I have ever used. The earbuds themselves don't actually sit in your ear, the 'hoopy bit' (technical term) and the 'long arm thing' (same again) mean you can position the audio output so it doesn't put any pressure on the inside of your ear anywhere. They don't fall off, they look and feel discreet, and the sound quality isn't too bad.I'm not a massive audiophile, so I can't speak for certain on the sound quality, but I don't have any issues using them for video, audiobook, radio, or music. As I said above, they don't fall out, either. Because they are supported across the top of your ear, you'd actually need quite a hefty bounce to dislodge them,so they probably wouldn't suit trampolining.Exactly what I needed, and would definitely recommend.
