So there I was, bored on the internet and looking for some item to waste my money on. I'm glad I have moments like those else I wouldn't have stumbled across these beasts.Delivery and Packaging:Amazon Prime and DPD delivered the package the day after placing my order, as promised. If it was that other courier Amazon sometimes use (cough cough, Parcel Force, cough cough), I doubt it would've arrived in 24 hours. The headphones themselves come in a black box, with information regarding the product and a pretty picture. Nothing special here, its very simplistic.Headphone Looks/Comfort:Although this is down to personal opinion, I think these headphones look very stylish. They look very modern and in fact, they look more expensive than they are. You soon learn that August thankfully spent more time and money on the things that matter, not the box they come in.To accompany the easy look on the eyes, they are an easy fit on the head and ears. These headphones are seriously comfortable. They can be worn for long periods of time without any annoying aches or pain, unless of course you wack the volume up... I'll talk about that later on. The headphones are adjustable so will be able to fit various head shapes and sizes. The headphones also fold in nicely, ideal when they need putting in a bag!Headphone Connectivity:I switched on the bluetooth of my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and switched on the headphones, within seconds they were paired and ready to go. Even I wasn't expecting it to be that easy. The bluetooth provides a strong and stable connection. If you haven't got a bluetooth device then don't worry, in the box comes an AUX cable which you connect to the socket on the headphones. The battery lasts ages, 8-10 hours at loud volumes and then charges nice and quickly via the supplied USB cable. On the side of the headphones there are a selection of buttons, all laid out nicely. In the middle you'll find the play/pause button, top left is volume down, top right is volume up, bottom left is previous track, bottom right is next track. When on a bluetooth connection you can use these buttons to control your device remotely. This works incredibly well at the gym when I can't be bothered to bend over and fiddle with my phone. They also don't fall off your head whilst working out, this means that the quest for gainz won't be interrupted.Headphone Sound Quality:I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting much. A company I've never heard of, sharing the same name with a month, along with a cheap looking website. The only thing that made me bite was the number of good reviews here on Amazon. The time has now come were I'd like to take a brief moment to thank those customers that review products, without you I wouldn't be sat here typing this review with my head filled with high crisp notes followed by the deepest booming bass I've ever heard! These headphones have blown me away. They are slightly bass heavy so not ideal if listening to spoken audio but for everything else they are superb. I like my music loud and oh boy do these headphones deliver the volume!! No horrid distortion either. Just play David Guetta ft Sia - She Wolf with the device volume maxed out and the headphone volume maxed out, your eardrums along with your whole head and face will be begging for mercy. If you find the bass overwhelming you can always use an EQ to balance it to your needs. Isn't technology wonderful?Overall:I paid £28 for these headphones, I got a bargain if they pass the test of time. They come with 1 year warranty as standard so if anything should happen you're covered. They appear to be well made though so hopefully they'll last a few years. If I knew what these headphones were like I would've payed more. I'd definitely recommend them!

Somehow I have ended up with a lot of headphones. Probably I should have bought one expensive, super quality, expensive set. Nevertheless I have quite a few 'very good' sets. So this review is set against some good wired headphones, including the PSB M4U-1's, AKG K551's, Yamaha PRO 400's, the Yamaha HPH-200's and the AKG Y50's. All of those were bought as special offers and flash sales so were at really sharp prices. They are all highly reviewed and all are excellent in their own right. But sometimes cables just get in the way. Maybe doing the washing up, taking a quick bath, working in the garden, all those situations merit a Bluetooth headset. So I went for the 'red' version which turn out to be a lovely matt, mettalic wine colour, very nice indeed. These are very well finished, and the padding on the headband and ear-cups is as good as anything I have. These headphones are supremely comfortable. Size wise they will be fully over ears for many but on ear for a few. They are very lightweight without being cheap. Bluetooth is integrated into the right side of the headband and works perfectly and seamlessly. A lovely, well made, lightweight piece of kit. The box contains a charger cable and a headphone wire in case you prefer to use them without Bluetooth sometimes. In use there is some pre-amplification as they are louder with Bluetooth than wired. Out of the box the sound does not match up to any of my other headphones but on a positive note they can be driven, from a mobile phone, very loud without a headphone amplifier. The big problem is that they are tuned so much towards the bass which bleeds into the midrange slightly fuzzing it. A great mistake to me, because as you will see these are actually very good headphones. So at first I was disappointed. Having a Sony Z3 Android phone meant that I could use some equalisation and I set up Sensor Media Player's 5 band equaliser, with slightly increased treble and midrange and lessened the two bass frequencies. Immediately a sweet treble and a more balanced, yet still potent, bass sounded out. Good fast sound with a great tonal balance. Not far off all my other headphones. Excellent indeed. So out of the box the August EP650 would sound fine if given some equalisation. Most importantly these phones are really top notch when adjusted and for their price crazy cheap. I really recommend them, but do not expect the best sound straight out of the box. 3 stars for the overbearing bass straight out of the box, 5 stars for the adjusted sound. So 4*.Note:-These headphones should sound good from all Bluetooth sources but because the August EP650's have APTX they therefore can move larger amounts of data, more quickly, if the source has APTX too. They will sound better from APTX devices So many Sony phones , many HTC mobile phones, many Samsung mobile phones etc etc can link through APTX to these headphones. That means that the sound can reach an extremely high quality HiFi level. Because the headphone driver is so good on these inexpensive jewels it is possible to get genuinely top notch sound out of these cans. They do compete with some of the more expensive and well reviewed headphones. Check on WWW.APTX.COM, which lists APTX bluetooth devices, to see if yours has it.

First time I'm ever writing any sort of review, this is going to be slightly simplified, but based on 3 years of experience with the amazing August EP650.The build quality in these is solid given the price in mind, despite being plastic they feel well made. However, the build quality is also the only thing from not giving the full 5 stars. I've bought this pair twice, and both times after exactly 18 months of use the headband snapped from the middle. Given the fact these only have a 1 year warranty, it's a bit annoying. If the headband had some metal in between the plastic casing and the thick padding, it would be perfect. The sound quality in these cans is absolutely amazing, no matter what device you use.I can't completely say how they sound flat, as I always have my equalizers adjusted for my liking, which is bass emphasized. These headphones are perfect for that. I'm currently on an iPhone SE, but a hint for all Android users, download Rocket Player from the Play Store, put the EQ on Dance and/or up the bass, you can get these bounce in your ears, which is especially enjoyable when you're drunk and cant blast music from the speakers. Bass heavy or not, the mids and lows are also tremendous, and with these headphones I've several times heard nuances in songs I hadn't before. By adjusting the EQ of their selected device, I know with a 100% certainty that everyone can get the sound of these to their liking.Battery life is also adequate, especially the first time buying these when great BT headphones with relatively small price were hard to find, These days though, there are products offering far more stellar battery life, but for the whole package that the August EP650 bring, the ~10 hours is completely fair. The comfort is bar none, I'm wearing glasses unless I'm sleeping or in the shower, and these haven't gotten uncomfortable once. Even with Wayfarer style glasses and a cap, it takes more than two hours to get uncomfortable. To end, I'll say I love these headphones. Apart from the issue of "dubious" build quality of same defect after the same amount of time, I have no real negatives to say, only small niggles. I am extremely annoyed about the fact that Daffodil UK doesn't send their used/B-stock headphones to my home country of Finland, as I'm completely broke and as such couldn't afford the actual listing price. Thus, I had to go for a competitor's product, which was a mistake as a glass-wearer, so I might end up returning them. Will come back for a third pair once I have more money, unless I find something that has a better price to quality ratio. Which is doubtful.Added paragraph which I forgot to mention: The controls are so convenient and so easy to use, these can be used with thick gloves on, which is good in Finland. Anyone moaning about the controls being too plasticky and such should keep in mind that these headphones are far cheaper than other competitors where the forward/previous are paired behind the volume button, which is idiotic. Charging time is completely average, and the possibility of usage with the supplied AUX cord is a great convenience. Finally to end, these are the best purchase I ever made, so good I bought them twice.-JP

I have generally used ear buds rather than full headphones but decided to give a pair of headphones a try. I have only had these a day but they feel comfortable to wear and the sound is good. I'm no audio professional and I'm sure if you pay more then you will get better sound, but for me they sound great. I can understand what some reviewers comment on about them being perhaps a little bass heavy but generally I am pleased with them. Of course if your music player has an equalizer you can perhaps adjust this a little. Unfortunately on my Lumia Windows Phone with WP8.1, the equalizer is available only when connected with the cable and not when using bluetooth.Pairing of these to my mobile phone using nfc was a doddle, once I'd found the bit in the instruction booklet of how to put them into pairing mode. Bluetooth range from my phone allowed me to get about two rooms away at home before the signal broke up, so that wasn't too bad.I would have liked it if these also allowed the same controls (play/pause/next/prev/call/volume/mic) when using them wired as they do on bluetooth. I'm one of these people who are concerned at possible health effects of having bt transmissions right next to my head for extended periods so generally will use them wired but like to have the option when a wire is inconvenient. They also allow connection to a pc using USB as an alternative (cable also supplied) to the standard 3.5inch jack audio jack, so this has a bonus in using them at work as they will continue to charge whilst in use. I particularly like the fact that the standard audio jack is removable, because the common failing in headphones is the jack, so being able to replace the cable is a big advantage for me. (And as you will see if you read to the end, this had an even bigger advantage)So all in all I'm pleased. Comfortable. They look to be good quality (and I'll update my review if they suddenly break).Back to my one little criticism, and I think this applies equally to other wired/wireless headphones. Why not allow controls to work when using the 3.5 inch audio jack? Well, I can understand that the electronics are different but its not rocket science to simply duplicate the controls in-line on the 3.5 inch cable is it? And that particular thought got me thinking... the cable is replaceable so if somebody else supplies such a thing then I wonder if that would work... and a quick look on Amazon revealed what I was looking for:KetDirect 1.2m(3.9ft) audio 3.5mm AUX Replacement Headphone/Headset Audio Cable with In-Line Remote Microphone Volume Control for Apple iphone Android SamsungFor just under £10, I got it delivered on prime next day and I am pleased to say that using this in place of the supplied audio cable now gives me volume control along with play/pause/next/prev/call/volume/mic just like I get on bluetooth, but by using the controls on the cable, and this is working fine on my Lumia 1020 with Windows Phone 8.1. As a bonus, that also means I can now use the graphic equalizer on the mobile, so happy days!

First, Great and Fast Service From Amazon UK.Now lets make the August EP650 Black Review.I was not certain about this product but after watching so many Video Reviews about it I decided to give it a go.The package in my opinion is horrible, it is not pretty or fancy at all. It is just a white box with a few photos and writing and thats it. Inside everything comes in the right place but nothing fancy. So the package is not the strongest point of the product (inside you have the headphones, manual, USB charge cable and 3,5 mm cable).About the headphones and build quality...and thats where the August EP650 starts to shine....I was expecting a not very good quality but guess what I had a surprise, because the plastic doesnt look cheap at all, nice quality plastic (not the top but very good). The headphones are pretty an very confortable I listened music for 4 hours without any fatigue or sweating. So far so good, cheap headphones, nice quality of the plastic and most important of very thing Confortable. The buttons of the Volume/ Next track and On/Off are in the right place and very easy to use, so once again you wont be disappointed with the product.Sound Quality...and here thats where was my main concern, after reading/viewing so many reviews about it I had lots of reserves.About the volume...some people said it was not high enough....but trust me, they are high enough, I cant listen anything after 75% of the volume because the EP650 really have a very high volume (off corse you need to make adjustments in the device you using but for me it is impossible to listen music with 100%/100% in both devices.I am a audiophile and I have 5 Headphones at home, from Audio Technica to Sony and to be honest the August EP650 for the price I doubt you can buy anything better. The EP650 has a very nice treble and mediums but they really shine in the Bass. I started to listen some rock and they were alright, not the best headphones that I had but once again for the price of the product I just have to say 5 Stars.Time to try the August EP650 with dance music....and my god, they really rock with this kind of music, powerful bass if you are a bass lover. In this kind of music the contrast between the bass/treble/medium is amazing (they are really punchy with the bass but not too much). If you have any doubts about sound quality of the EP650 ...just dont, it is worthy all the money spent on it!The battery in the headphones last near 9 hours which is really good and it takes about 2 hours to a full charge.About the noise cancellation they are pretty good, so, you wont have any problem in listening the environment because you wont!In conclusion if you are looking for a Wireless headphones with a very nice sound quality and if you are tight in budget the August EP650 are the right product for you!!!!!I just want to say that I dont have commercial interest with August, I bought it for my personal use.Jay says 5 Stars to August EP 650.

I bought these August EP650R headphones on a Black Friday deal to replace a pair of EP636 that were stolen and I'm really happy with the purchase.I'd originally loved my EP636 so I thought I treat myself to an upgrade. For anyone new to wireless headphones, there is no going back once you've tried them. Don't get me wrong, standard headphones are ok but the lack of cables can bring so many benefits. I use mine around the house and while doing the gardening where cables definitely get in the way. After my headphones were stolen, I resorted to using a pair of wired earbud types at the gym and immediately noticed the annoyance of having a cable bouncing around and the associated cable noise. Before I tried them,I’d originally thought that wireless headphones would be heavy or bulky due to the electronics and battery incorporated or that they would be a hassle because of a need to charge them, but I was wrong. My original EP636 were fantastic, probably the best headphones I'd owed because of the sound quality, design and wireless concept. The battery life was great and they were comfortable and easy to use. My issue was that when listening for a long time, the pad resting continuously on top of my ears began to be slightly uncomfortable but that was only after hours of use. Maybe it’s just the shape of my ear. When they were stolen, I decided to upgrade to the EP650s because of the cupped design. The EP650 oozes class and the chrome detail adds to this. They look and feel like a high end set of headphones but a fraction of the price. I couldn't decide what colour to buy and eventually opted for red. The matt finish has a slight metallic two-tone sheen which is really nice. The sound quality is unbelievable, producing a rich deep bass and wide range of frequencies. They can also go very loud. I haven't turned the volume up to the maximum because at ¾, they were loud enough! The weight is perfect to feel solid but not too heavy. The arms have a nice folding feature. I've been using them at the gym and prefer how the cupped design eliminates the background sounds of the machines and music already being played there, it puts me in my own little world. My only complaint is with the buttons. The buttons are flush with the design but I’d prefer a little notch on them at least for finding the right place to press. I’m pretty new to them so I might naturally learn with practice where to press but at the minute I’m having to find the depression in the centre button, then work out where the other four buttons are after that. The other issue is the flashing status light on the side. I’d prefer if this was less noticeable. These aren’t big deals really. I haven’t had them long enough to comment on the battery life but I’m sure its ok like the EP636.PROS:Sound qualityClassy designFolding featureComfortablePerfect weightCONS:Finding the buttonsFlashing indication light

To be honest I shopped around a lot for bluetooth headphones and was very hesitant as to which to go for.I read reviews and feedback and made a judgement to try these at the modest pricepoint they were. Previously I had a Sony wired pair from the Sony shop in NY from circa 1998 that cost me $100 and was happy with for clarity but lacked a little oomph.Normally I'm a brand junkie so wouldn't go for an unknown but friends assured me there was a lot of 'good stuff' in the electronics world so give a try.I wanted Bluetooth - these are, the set up was as explained and incredibly simple from my iPhone 5 and iPad 2. The range is perfect at 5 metres (as far as I've tried)and weird if you're not used to wireless headphones!I wanted them to fold - these do, although understandably not too small as they are a good size.I wanted over ear - these are, my ears don't work with those that fit inside. My family assure me that there's no leakage of sound and external noises are minimal (I walk alongside traffic to work). They're comfy and the foam padding all the way around is comfortable and I wear them for up to an hour at a time on my commute. They're not too heavy considering the size.I wanted the microphone capability - these suit and the call answering is a simple one touch of the left earphone to accept the call.I wanted simplicity - left ear has large on/off and play button surrounded by volume and forward/reverse to operate your song selection (safely hidden away on my phone in my bag).I wanted a good sound - having worked in the music industry a large part of my life, I enjoy a wide breadth of musical styles. I was realistic at a pair of sub £50 headphones but I am very pleasantly surprised. They have plenty of oomph and the bass sounds are well catered for. If you are fussy like me, you need to use your EQ function on your device to get the setting right for you as the mid range can otherwise appear a little muddy - the EQ will sort this out, not all music is produced equally!I wanted a simple design - they're spot on (for me) over ear headphones are sizeable, they're all black and modest in size with a slow pulsing blue neon glow around the play button to show they're connected when on, they don't shout 'look at me' so look elsewhere if it's exhibitionism you're looking for!I want life to be easy - Charging is via a USB that I plug into my keyboard at work and I top up regularly but even when I forget and have used them for hours the display on my iPhone informs me that they still have oodles of charge left in them.So overall, worth every penny and with a bit of tweaking with the EQ to personalise to your own listening style / pleasure you can grab yourslelf a non-branded bargain.

Straight out of the packaging these headphones impress: they look great in the red colour, are extremely light and appear to be made using high quality materials. I had no problems at all pairing them with my Kindle Fire HD, Ipod Touches and MP3 player, with the process taking only about two minutes for each device. The addition of a M-M 3.5mm lead is useful, although I've not used it yet (I already have wired headphones). Wearing them, they feel very light on the head and I've found them to be every bit as comfortable as I'd hoped. The range I've found to be about 10m, the control buttons are easy to use and the sound - well the sound sounded far better than I'd expected, with none of the hissing or buzzing noise experienced by others here. Granted I've not tried them out on high end audio equipment (wired headphones would always be better for that anyway), but for relatively inexpensive headphones being used with iPods/MP3 players and Kindles/tablets, they're worth far more than the price I paid (£39.95) - and they're even cheaper now - so I'd recommend them without any hesitation. If I have one negative thing to say about them, it's the audio lag when watching a video, but as that's a common complaint with Bluetooth video+audio and not due to these headphones I had expected it. An adjustment to VLC settings makes it acceptable however.I've still no problems with these fantastic headphones, but for TV use I've paired them with the AUGUST MR250 BLUETOOTH TRANSMITTER and have found there's only a barely perceptable audio delay (far better than the other transmitter I'd tried) - something which has pleased me no end. For some reason I'm not able to review the AUGUST MR250 TRANSMITTER on Amazon (Amazon says I've already reviewed it and refers me to this item's reviews instead). Anyway, to pre-empt any questions, I can say I've found the transmitter works perfectly with the following items with a headphone jack: iPod (all types), iPad, Kindle Fire HD, Internet radio, Samsung LED TV's, Pure Move DAB radio, Samsung Galaxy S4, Various PC's and, well, everything else I've found with a headphone socket. It's a quality product, the rechargeable battery gives me around 10 hours (although it an be charged when in use) and pairing with headphones takes only seconds. August might not be a well-known company, but don't let this put you off buying their headphones and Bluetooth products - they should be.****UPDATE*****I've just bought another pair in the white colour, not because my pair has broken (they're still performing as they did when new), but because I don't want to be without a pair of these terrific headphones when my first pair finally dies. They really are that good.

So I have been looking for some decent headphones to replace my old Sennheiser HD202's for a while now. I decided to look into bluetooth options purely because wireless is so much more convenient, even if your using these at home and not for traveling.Anyway after looking around I decided to give the Sony DR-BTN200M's a go, these arrived and I quickly found out they were faulty, the bass made the left ear rattle every time, even when fairly quiet. And even then the sound quality wasn't too great either. I also decided that they were mega uncomfortable to wear, the cups were too firm and I decided I hated the 'on ear' style of cups, much preferred the 'around ear' style.I sent these back for a full refund in the end. Then I decided maybe I should look into spending a little more seeing as I am quite picky and am someone that believes you get what you pay for.I started to look into Bose AE2w headphones, I loved the fact that they come with the removable bluetooth unit so you can use them as regular headphones with the AUX input AND charge the bluetooth unit at the SAME TIME. However these came at a much higher price point and thought i should probably try before I buy. When I tried them out at the Bose store I was happy that they felt comfortable and sounded good etc. but sounded good was it, I expected much more for a set of headphones at that price point. Then I discovered these, my sister had a pair so I decided to try them first and was pleasantly surprised. Having never heard of the brand I thought they would be not great but actually I have to say the sound quality is much nicer than the Bose, I mean the Bose were maybe ever so slightly clearer, but not much and the tones are much richer and fuller in these than the Bose in my opinion. Rather than writing an essay about these, i will try to sum up some pro's and cons.Pros-Super impressive sound quality-really, really comfortable to wear-Relatively cheap-NFC is great if your on the move and want to quickly pair with your NFC enabled phone-AUX socket to use if the battery runs out-Sound leakage is low-Cups block out plenty of ambient noise-Build quality feels decent-Cables supplied are the flat type that don't tangle as easily and they have a good amount of lengthCons (Really going to struggle here)-Sound could maybe be ever so slightly clearer-The square ear cups don't really do it for me in terms of aesthetics (perfectly comfortable though)I can't comment on the battery life as I haven't used them long enough to wear them but I've heard they are equally as impressive on this front as well! I never usually do reviews but I felt I had to share just how good these are. Would recommend 100%

When you have over a thousand mostly positive reviews for a product you know you can put some trust in it. The fact that so many units have sold is testament to the wide spread recommendations. So what makes them so good.....They feel so good to the touch. As soon as you pick them up for the first time everything just feels right. They have a nice weight to them without being too heavy. The folding parts are metal and the metal part appears to go right around the band. The ear pads and the top band are super soft and they are so comfy to wear. The noise isolation is also surprisingly good even without music playing and the controls are perfectly placed and simple to use.More importantly though they sound fantastic.Via Bluetooth (which works rather well) the sound is full and rich with not the slightest hint of piecing treble. The AUGUST are very well behaved headphones that sound very laid back. However they still have enough detail and I actually found it exposed sounds in the music I had not previously heard before. This isn't high end by any means but is a big step up from budget headphones. The mids are somewhat muted and the treble lacks a bit of sparkle but the laid back presentation makes them very easy to listen to. Then comes the bass. The bass goes LOW but luckily does not dominate too much, it just makes the music very enjoyable to listen to. I then plugged the EP650 directly into my ALIENWARE M50 and all hell broke lose!!!!The whole music level increased overall and the bass exploded into action. The ear cups actually vibrate on your head even at relatively low volumes with bass heavy tracks. Tweaking the sound with some equalisation tamed the bass somewhat but the sound was still thick and rich. I have a pair of Sony budget headphones that sound fantastic but against the August EP650 they sounded weak. The EP650 used on Bluetooth matched the wired Sony's but when plugged in using the 3.5mm cable the EP650's became a different monster altogether. At this price point this shouldn't be possible, they remind me of the Sennheiser HD555 headphones I sold when I had my own online store selling audio goods. Almost as good at a quarter of the price, and with more bass which I didn't think was possible!!If you are someone who likes to analyse music the EP650's are perhaps not for you, however if you simply enjoy listening to music and letting it move you then you'll be delighted with these. For goodness sake it's less then 40 quid so take and chance! Look out for my comparison test against the BEATS PRO coming soon.August EP650 - Bluetooth HeadphonesPosted publicly as Alan J. Young

Surprisingly good. Rich full sound with no shortage of bass, open middle and crisp clear treble with little or no listening-fatigue. Fully featured too with NFC - nice but not essential - and a TRS audio input port for use as passive headphones. But what amazes me that no-one else appears to have noticed, or at least commented on, is their Bluetooth 4.0 aptX technology. In conjunction with a similarly equipped bluetooth transmitter (sender) aptX ensures low latency performance of around 60mSec (aptX actually claims 40mSec, but I think this is optimistic) such that watching TV with the sound through the EP650s is lip-sync acceptable. Not quite perfect, but very watchable. Without aptX,the latency would be in the region of 400 - 600mSec... sound some half-a second late, compared with the picture. This is a huge and unexpected bonus that August appear to keep quiet about, for although within seconds of trying the headphones for TV sound I realised that aptX must be operating, I have only seen it mentioned once in any advertising blurb, and never referred to in so called 'professional' reviews. In addition, their over-ear design is both comfortable and hearing-aid compliant. My behind-the-ear NHS Phonak hearing-aids behave impeccably and perform very well under these cans providing I notch their volume down slightly and switch to a less bright EQ setting (the hearing-aids that is, not the headphones). As a hearing-aid wearer, I can't use ear-buds of course. With more strident EQ settings at the audio source, the EP650s are just as enjoyable without hearing-aids. Overall, not as clean, open and firm as my Bose QC3s (which I consider as my reference-standard) but at their excellent value modest price point, I wouldn't expect them to be. A most satisfying and rewarding listening experience nevertheless. Highly recommended. For carrying about as a personal listening system, I recommend August's purpose-designed carry-case. I was unable to source one from UK suppliers, including Amazon.co.uk, but obtained it for a very reasonable price, even with transatlantic shipping, from Amazon.com.Addendum 11-02-16Is there no end to the EP650's surprises and delights? I have now discovered that they can be connected to two Bluetooth sources simultaneously... amazing for what always has been a one-device-connection system. I've tried it and it works! An iPhone and iPad connected at the same time, so a quick press of a play symbol on either of the devices, and the sound is right there, instantly. They just get better!

I really liked this product and do recommend.let me share some of the general info and experiences so far for couple of weeks now.The headphones are easily adjusted both up and down either side, feeling solid thanks to the internal metallic construction. Each ear cup and the headband is supported by padding in a faux-leather for comfort. As well as the head band being adjustable, the cups themselves are articulated to allow some movement to fit most ear types/sizes easily, however they do not fully rotate.Simply tap your NFC-enabled device to the headphones and the pairing is completed. You’ll get some notification tones via the speakers to let you know also. The battery itself lived up to expectations. The 220mAh battery lasted for just over 9 hours of playback over the course of a week's testing. When a charge is required, it won’t take more than about 90mins when using a standard wall adapter and the included USB cable. These headphones are meant for people who enjoy bass. The interesting thing here is that bass has some depth and clarity to it also. Yes it is overpowering most of the time. An equaliser can deal with this relatively easily (such as the one in Deezer) but out of the box it’s definitely a basshead’s friend.Controlling the August EP650 is very easy even without being in arms’ reach of the device you’re streaming from. The built-in control unit, something the manual calls a remote control, is placed well on the right ear cup. The volume up and down buttons at the top of the control unit and the forward/repeat buttons aren’t easily found. Usually finding the middle button, and working your fingers out from that point is the only sure-fire way of ensuring that the correct buttons are found. The Play/Pause button is, as mentioned, easy to find however as it’s slightly concave. Finally passive noise cancellation and isolation on this device is relatively good. The around-the-ear style of the ear cups mean that a lot of ambient sound is left sounding little more than white noise. Sitting at a desk listening to these headphones, whilst typing on a particularly noisy keyboard, the audio and isolation easily drown out the sound.PROS are Good Quality,Isolation,Comfort fit, Audio Quality and Value for the price and Bass is little heavy on the CONS side.

Ok, I've had these for a few weeks now and Amazon have just asked me to review them so I feel compeled too. These headphones are totally and utterly amazing!! I read the other reviews and also found a best buy review in the UK press but was still a little sceptical as the price seems absurd. These really will blow your mind and your ears if you turn them right up. I'm no soundy but I own a pair of 100000hz Panasonic open ear headphones I bought years ago for several hundred and have had a few pairs of Seinhesser in my time and these really are phenomenal. I was at Dublin airport recently and tried out all the latest phones up to around £360 just to compare and these blew them all out of the water. They took a little while to bed in but now the sound coming out of these is incredible. Deep rich bass and plenty enough mid and high for me. They also do genuinely act the same as noise cancelling phones and If you turn them right up they will hurt your ears so be careful. I love dance music and these are perfect as the bass is so good. Yes the flashing blue light is a little annoying for my partner when she's trying to sleep and there are no raised plastic markers for sound, next track etc but as another reviewer mentioned you just start in the middle and work from there simples! The bluetooth range is so good easily 10 meters. I find myself putting the rubbish out whilst leaving my phone in the lounge. Also I didn't buy these to use as a headset but my other half called me the other day and said the microphone was amazing with no complaints even though the mike is no way near your mouth!?To sum up.BUY THESE YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT.As everyone else says the price is well well under how these perform. The quality of sound is literally mind blowing and work beautifully with Spotify and my S5 and also my Nexus 5 and ipad. Playing around with the equaliser on all my devices gives you all the balance you can want as these seem to handle every type of music with little to no distortion unless you have them at defening level. Don't be put off with the cheap box they come in and make sure you charge them for 16 hours before you use them and you will never regret the day you bought August EP650 headphones. Trust me!

I love these headphones. They were a bit of impulse purchase because I got a bit tired of my in-ear kept falling out with the slightest of movements. I bought replacement buds but they weren't quite the same. So I started looking at wireless on-ear headphones. I did a fair bit of research, unfortunately due to my current financial situation I couldn't afford top of the range (i.e. Bose, Beats etc) so had to settle for something cheaper, and boy I am glad I did. I have only had these about a week now and have heard them pretty much everyday so I can only give a brief overview. The ProsFirstly the you cant help but notice the sound. I love a lot of bass in my music so much so that on my phone I have the EQ set to Bass Booster. After pairing these up to my phone I had to set the EQ to normal as the bass with these are perfect for me. These aren't noise cancelling headphones, but for the price I wasn't expecting them to be.The headphones are very comfortable and very aesthetically pleasing, although I was slightly surprised when I opened the box to find they were black (when I thought I had ordered the red). At the end of the day the colour doesn't affect the sound. One of the features I liked is that your phone (iPhone 6 in my case) gives you an estimate of how much battery life you have on the headphones. I am not sure if this is a feature on all Bluetooth products linked to the phone as this the headphones are the only one I have.Battery life seems to be excellent as well. I have used them for about 1 - 2 hours a day for the past week and am only on 70% from a 90 min charge.ConsThe first is that the volume and track change buttons can be a bit fiddly. This is due to the fact that they are completely flat so take a bit of getting used to. It would be easier if they were raised slightly. The microphone for calls is a bit redundant, being that they are wireless they have had to put it on the right ear cup. I have tried a couple of times to answer calls and have had to abandon the headphones altogether as the caller couldn't hear what I was saying.OverallI highly recommend these to anyone who is on a budget and are looking for good quality set of headphones with a an amazing sound.

All round great headphones for an outstanding price point.SOUND //The sound on these is amazing. You get your deep bass whilst also getting clarity on treble. It sounds better when plugged in than whilst using Bluetooth but that's to be expected with any pair of headphones, but this can be fixed if you have access to software which can control Bluetooth equalization. They're more than loud enough to be heard easily when worn around your neck and they don't leak sound even when on high volume settings, which is great.BUILD //The build quality of these headphones is another exceptional part of this product. They feel sturdy and expensive, similar to a pair of Beats headphones (which btw are absolute trash is comparison). They're incredibly comfortable thanks to the rectangular shape of the ear cups, to the point where you can wear them for hours without them causing discomfort. The ear cups also shift, allowing you to be able to position them perfectly over your ears so they fit perfectly on your head.FUNCTIONALITY //These headphones feature a lot of useful features which I will go into detail below:> Control Buttons - There are buttons on the side of the right ear cup which allow you to change volume, skip tracks, pause media, power them on/off and Bluetooth pair. The buttons are tactile and all serve useful purposes.> Connection Options - There are a number of ways you can connect these headphones to a device. You can connect them using an aux cable (one provided with headphones), Bluetooth and even micro USB. The Bluetooth is easy to connect, has a distant connection radius and it lasts ages. You also don't need to have them charged in order to use an aux connection, something some high end headphones can't even provide.> Snap Fold - The headphone can be snapped closed thanks to the metal parts which means you can fit them away easily.Overall these are a great pair of headphones. Don't avoid them just because they're a relatively unknown brand. Clearly this company invests more into product quality, rather than branding, which in my opinion is the best way to approach things.Trust me, you will not regret buying these headphones.
