I have had a pair of these that lasted a full year. You honestly cannot go wrong for the price. Their durability is pretty good to say the least, however I found after a year or so the right speaker has lost some sound on the mids and has a very hollow sound, which would sometimes hiss. I thought it may have been the case where the ear cushion/bud needed replacing, however it was the speaker itself. They do come with extra cushion/buds so that when they wear out, they can be replaced. Which is good. Their noise isolation is actually pretty great for such a budget pair of earphones. I have owned the OnePlus bullets beforehand and I would say that these do a similar job in terms of noise isolating, however they will not fully cancel out the noise, but do the job of reducing which. I have worn them in busy, noisy city centres as well as on flights and other means of public transport, and outer noise is very minimal. You can find ones with a microphone very similar to these by searching 'Panasonic ErgoFit In-Ear Earbuds Headphones with Mic/Controller RP-TCM125-K' - I owned a pair of these for a long time also, however the mic had troubles in calls, with a lot of hissing and clicking sounds and making my voice extremely quiet. I much prefer these as there is no feedback during calls and the sound is very clear, but of course you would need to use the phone mic to communicate. There is another microphone version 'RP-TCM125-V', which I have yet to try, but seeing as most mic buds do not co-operate with my phone very well, I cannot give my opinion on the quality of which. The shape of these ensures a comfy fitting in the ear, however if you have larger ears (like I do), you may find that they fall out when walking at faster speeds, so I would not recommend them for running, or gym, etc, as such. You would be better off looking at wireless buds. The depth of the bass is emphasised more-so the furthermore you press these into your ear, sometimes bass may sound as though it is lacking, but it is possible it is because how loosely my pair fit in my ear, unless I press them in further. Then I have no complaints about the range on the bass.In short, Panasonic have managed to make a quality ear bud for a very affordable price here. It may not be audiophile quality by any means but if you are looking for a decent durable headphone with an above average range then I would recommend purchasing these guys.

EDIT: My original review is below. After further use I have come to realise that the sound quality is superior to earphones twice the price, it has noticeably better bass than the earphones I mentioned in my original review, for instance. There are some other Issues that I have also noticed. The jack itself is poor quality and fiddling with it causes distortion in the earphones themselves, moving the jack around can change the volume in either ear as well. This, along with the uncomfortable ear buds, weakens the product somewhat but if you can get past (or solve) the ear discomfort and not be bothered by occasional 'fuzzing' then I fully recommend these earphones. For this price, you can't do better. In terms of sound quality these earphones are perfectly fine. I have no complaints, but then again I am no audiophile. I spent around £5.70 (not including shipping) on these and for that price I'm pleased that there are no issues in that regard. That being said, with shipping costs the total was closer to £10 so if you can avoid shipping costs through a large enough order, or Prime, then perhaps consider splashing out and getting something a few £s better than this pair.My main issue with these earphones is that the provided ear buds are rather uncomfortable even after only a few minutes. I've never had an issue with earphones irritating my ears before so I wouldn't say this is entirely my ears' fault. The rubbery material used is either too rigid, too 'grippy' or both, I'm not sure. Luckily my old (broken) Creative EP-630 Noise Isolating Earphones - Black had spare buds that fit nicely onto the Panasonic 'phones. For such a low price I can't punish them too hard, the sound quality doesn't suffer from the earphone's cheapness. However, looking at the current prices of the Creative EP-630's I mentioned earlier, if you are able to avoid paying shipping consider opting for them. They are also around the £10 mark (as these Panasonics are with shipping included) and are noticeably more comfortable to use. Admittedly this may sound like bogus mental gymnastics - you wouldn't be wrong about that - but it's something to consider. A reward for avoiding shipping fees, perhaps.

I've tried many earphones over the years and keep coming back to these. The sound suits me with a good balance, strong bass but not of control, and lower treble. This makes it comfortable for 10+ hours listening at work on a flat EQ. If you wish you can then boost some frequencies like a bit extra kick on lows and extra cymbal action on highs. These are the only ones that consistently fit in my ears and isolate outside noise properly without the need to constantly readjust.Other Earphones I've used that didn't hold in my earsSeinheiser CX300 x1Sony MDR-EX300SLB with 13.5mm Driver Unit (currently own) x3JVC HAFX1X Xtreme Xplosives x5Betron B750s (currently own) x2Panasonic RP-HJE125-K (currently own)x7Soundmagic E10 (currently own) x1I remember enjoying the Sony's but if you're at work moving around, it's not funny when you have to spend another £45 on a monthly basis. The JVC's where cheap enough with plenty of bass but you could tell they colour the sound and you have to compensate with EQ. Not badfit but the Panasonics were less than half price at one point. The Betrons have better highs but they seem lacking. The Soundmagic's disappointed me in their fit and sound. As a result I keep coming back to the Panasonics. I've used them heavily at work, at home direct to laptop, and more recently through an Aukey BR-C1 bluetooth receiver. And this is how both my better-half and I use the Panasonics.I mean for around £6 you can't beat them. I've seen them last over a year, or just a couple of months. They do the job without leaving you in tears.I also use Beyerdynamic DT770s for editing on the laptop or playing guitar, but that's another kind of beast.

I bought these to be able to listen to podcasts in bed. They lasted about 8 months before one of the ears died. I didn't buy another pair.Sound:The sound is fairly average for the £5-10 range, although surprisingly more bassy than you might expect. The mids and highs are typically just 'ok', not particularly clear or crisp. Depending on what kind of sound you like, this may suit you, but I found that it didn't really suit my tastes.Design:Fairly bog-standard looking pair of headphones, inoffensive and unnoticeable. There's an in-line microphone with a single button for play/pause.I purchased these specifically to sleep in, since I thought something titled 'ergo-fit'would be comfortable enough with my head sideways on the pillow. I was able to sleep in them, and they're certainly more comfortable to sleep in than most earbuds not designed exactly for the purpose, but I still found myself taking them out if I woke up at night because they were getting uncomfy.Build quality:These lasted for about 8 months before one of the ears stopped working, which for a < £10 pair of headphones (used nightly) is actually pretty decent. They're made of a glossy plastic, and the back can be pried off with enough effort. They feel sturdy enough that I don't worry anything's gonna fall apart whilst I'm walking or sleeping in them.Summary:These are very good headphones for £5, but for £5 more you can definitely get something that's more durable and with a much better sound quality than these. If you want something to sleep in, definitely spend a bit more and get something specifically tailored to that - it's 100% worth the investment.

I've been on the lookout for some decent inner-ear headphones for a while. I used to have a great Sony pair and when they gave up I thought I'd do well with Sennheisers after being impressed with their over-ear headphones. Sadly they didn't fit well, and with inner-ear style headphones, ear canal fit is pretty much the most important factor - even great ones can sound very poor if they don't make a good seal.As you typically can't return used headphones for hygiene reasons, I didn't want to spend a lot, with the risk they wouldn't fit. Then I saw this review on The Wirecutter [...], looked them up on Amazon, and at just over £7 thought I'd give them a punt (The model number is different in the UK for some reason and they don't come with an in-line remote for some reason. You can get the ones from the review, but they're slightly more). And The Wirecutter review wasn't wrong - they sound great (for the price)! The fit is great (for me at least, but they come with 3 different size adapters), the sound is perfectly decent for normal day-to-day listening, they block out outside sounds well (as you would expect), the bass is tight and controlled, and they don't seem too bright either. The build quality is good for the price, but you can tell that the overall material quality is on the lower side and they probably won't last forever. That said, if I'd spent ~£100 on posher headphones and lost/broke them, I'd be gutted - at least with these they're inexpensive to replace if needed.Overall, they seem unbelievably good value for money. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

I received these via Amazon Prime today and did not expect much as I was only looking for a throwaway pair (I have a pair of Soundmagic E20's for serious listening). The reviews were good and they were cheap. On first glance, these look like one of those 1 quid earphones you'd pick up off ebay, cheap looking, reedy plastic cables, cheap looking jack and plugs etc.All wrapped in saccharine blue paint. However, they fit very well in the ear due to the weird looking, angled but highly effective design of the ear plugs. So much better than conventional earphones. They ship with the mid-sized rubber buds but you get a pair of small as well as large buds in the box.I left the mid-sized ones on as they were very comfortable right out of the box.I'll probably be able to job with these, the fit is that good. Not really expecting much given their cheapo external credentials, I plugged these into my PC, logged on to my Spotify and tried a few songs from my Latino playlist. All I can say is WOW WOW WOW! I couldn't believe what I was hearing, I really cannot tell the difference between these and my Soundmagics which cost 5 times more. Were they even better?? The soundstange is HUGE, very expansive, treble is great without being too sibilant, bass goes low but is well controlled and not jarring, and the mid-range is just right. Panasonic have put their money on what really matters - the design of the drivers and the quality of the sound.5 stars all the way - the best fiver I've spent in a long time! BUY BUY BUY.

I've not had a lot of luck with these in ear type earphones, they either fall out of my ears all the time, or sound pretty awful, whether I've spend £1 or £20, that is until now.I have to admit, I bought mainly due to the fact they're Panasonic, a quality brand I've had mostly good experience with for decades, and at a very reasonable price. I didn't have great expectations, but thought it's worth a punt.On opening the blister pack, I found the earphones also came with some alternate size rubber buds, 3 sizes in all, and although earphones do look kinda strange with their offset design, once I changed to a different size bud (fiddly) they fitted perfectly, and actually quite comfortable. The first thing I realised, was that they stayed in place, I didn't have to keep adjusting or putting them back in my ears. More impressive, was the sound quality, way better than I'd expected considering the price. It's very clear and distinctive, and for their tiny size, the bass is pretty impressive, not muddy or flat sounding at all, certainly as good or better than the £15 Sony ones I'd been using beforehand. My only criticism would be that in comparison, the volume is slightly lower overall, but then most of these in ear type suffer with distortion if too loud anyway due to their tiny speakers.Overall, fantastic price for the sound they deliver. Very pleased.

These earphones are very good value for money - they sound good, are comfortable and are durable.Let me compare these to my previous headphone, the HAFX1X by JVC (which are over double the price):- The sound is a little bassy, but that's not a problem for me as I use these mainly for watching videos and the like, for which they are perfect. The HAFX1Xs do sound better, but not by a huge leap - to most they will be more than sufficient (I can't mark it down on this solely due to the price they are).- These earphones are very light and comfortable, which is nice as I was used to the heavy body of the HAFX1Xs- My previous HAFX1Xs broke after a months use. The problem? The 3.5mm connector sticks straight out,and with use this will eventually lead to the sound becoming distorted due to internal cable wear. These headphones have a 90 degree connector, which means less stress will be placed on the 3.5mm jack, which means that distortion is much less of a worry. I had a previous pair of these panasonics last 1.5 years of heavy use and abuse without any problems, which is incredible seeing as they only cost around a fiver. Even my current pair aren't showing any sign of distortion (but that is only after 2 months). So, all in all these are great earphones for the money. You can't really go wrong with them!

I have these on my wishlist to buy and buy again. They're perfect.I have been buying them for over a year and giving them as gifts or using them myself. I used to get through headphones like you wouldn't believe, as I didn't buy expensive ones and eventually an earphone would cut out or suchlike. But these bad boys don't break from natural causes, and as soon as I lose one or step on one or such I just grab a new pair for a fiver, sweet!AND they sound impeccable for the price. I'm no audiophile, I stick to mp3 for most of my music, and listen to a varied mix (not so much classical or treble-heavy stuff) and have absolutely no qualms with them. They actually handle stuff like heavy bass or excessive volume very well in my experience, but again I'm no expert at this, just your regular guy who loves the content of his music more than how it's delivered.Oh and they feel nice, made of plastic, but are sleek enough and durable. They don't have these trendy new flat, anti-tangle wires, which does lead to some tangling. (although this does mean you can tie them into quite a tight little bundle, making them easy to transport - and don't worry, I do this all the time and they haven't broken from it yet, and even if they were to... a new pair can be in the post for such little money)

When I bought these, I was looking for ear buds that would not irritate my sensitive ears. My old ones were the solid Sony Walkman kind, too big for my ear shape and they were always falling out, even when just walking about, never mind exercising. I had another pair that came with my Creative mp3 and, before the right side stopped working, they were actually painful to wear.I researched several brands and finally chose these Panasonic ear buds which I find perfectly satisfactory. For a start, they are extremely comfortable, the tips are oval and seem to fit my anatomy better than the round varieties and, of course, there are three different sizes of tips to choose from.I sometimes forget I've got them on.The sound quality is surprisingly good for such an inexpensive product, with a deep satisfying bass and clear treble without distortion, and fairly good insulation from background noise. The wire, though thin, looks solid and is long enough to reach inside my trouser pocket (I usually run the wire inside my shirt, to keep it from getting tangled in things). As for durability, I've been using them almost daily for more than two years and, so far so good.

I love Panasonic earphones.Previously I had bought them in black, and also bought them in white. So this is my third pair (in red). They're very resilient - my last pair (white) lasted 8 months, and I must admit I treated them terribly. Throwing them around, stuffing them into my pocket, chewing lightly on the wire and even swinging them when I was bored. 8 months, and it was similar with the previous pair also. The sound quality is great for me. It's clear and captures the important bits - none of that unnecessary bass boost which is so popular nowadays but doesn't work for me.They're bery comfortable, and fit into my ears perfectly (perhaps because I've been wearing them for so long)and they come with different earbud sizes which DO NOT fall off and become lost, unlike earphones I've had in the past. That said, they aren't comfortable when being worn in bed (I sleep on my side) but thats in their very nature. If that is your intentional use then it may be best to llok elsewhere. And that said, the pros outweigh the cons, so I feel it to be an injustice to deduct a star.I hope they keep manufacturing these, because I will keep buying.

At around £6, I don't believe these can be beaten. Funnily enough, I am writing this shortly after the pair I bought 9 months ago broke (the left channel died). As I'm overseas I did not have many options for an alternative. I picked up a pair of Philips buds (SHE3700) for 10 Euros and as soon as I heard them I realized that, while they do an adequate job for the money, these Panasonics had been streets ahead. When I have a chance I'll be getting another pair of these.Obviously there are negative points to note: yes, my first pair only lasted 9 months, but that is fairly normal for me -- they are constantly being yanked out of my jeans pockets and I've never had a pair last much more than a year.(That is one reason why I buy cheaper ones!) Secondly, these are not going to compete on sound quality with Sennheisers or others costing £25 or more. But at this price point (and in my experience, anywhere under £20), these are unbeatable. So if you want something that will give a decent sound, at a price that won't leave you too disappointed when the inevitable end comes, then I would warmly recommend these.

Well where to start on these headphones. The sound quality for the price on these headphones is very good. Handles low bass quite well compared to similarly priced headphones. The design of them is good, so they do not fall out of your ears even when running on a treadmill or working out. All and all i think these headphones are hard to beat for the price as they were better then my Sony ones that i had before which were a tad more expensive. My only real gripe would be that they should have a small joiner to attach headphones together when not in use. Waste less time untangling them. But i suppose they cant be perfect for this price!Pro's:-- Good sound quality,-- Handles low base well comparedto other headphones of same price,-- Price of these headphones (For this price they wouldn't even have to last that long)-- Comfy fit with a good designCon's-- Cable is quite short, not much longer then a metre,-- There is no joiner piece to attach the headphones together when not in use. This means they are more prone to tangling up unless care is taken.

£5.85 - that amount doesn't buy a lot these days! That's about the price of a pack of 17 B&H cigarettes, or a couple of coffees from Costa. What you wouldn't expect it to buy you is a set of earphones from a well-known brand that will put your Apple earbuds to shame and compare favourably to a lot of well-known audio brands.I've heard about these headphones for a while now, and they always sound like a bit of a hidden gem. When I managed to destroy my old faithful "work" headphones (Sony MDR-EX71s) I thought I'd give them a go and see if they hype was true - after all, I've spent more on buying lunch from Tesco!I'm that odd kind of audiophile, that appreciates good kit but also has an uncanny knack of destroying/losing anything that was expensive to buy! These certainly hit a certain sweetspot for me, providing good quality sound and great comfort but at a price that isn't going to make me cry when I run over them with my wheelie chair, or leave them on the tube.I hope you have found this review helpful, if so please click "yes" below.

Just tried the purple version of these with some symphonic prog rock (Par Lindh Project), Apollo 13 soundtrack End Titles, Mike Oldfield and Larry Carlton, and they sound excellent for what they are.Pros:* Sound. Handles both light and heavy passages well. Clear female vocals, solo violin, keyboards, percussion, studio ambience clearly discernible. Bass heavy passages do not distort, overwhelm or constrain higher frequencies. Some complain of tinny sound; this *will* be the case if not fitted correctly and fully into the ear canal, e.g. if in the wrong ears (tricky to do but it's possible and they will sound rubbish then).* Ample volume.* Comfortable.* Blocks external sound well even with no source audio.* Variety of colours.(Daughter (6) saw them and asked for dark blue as a birthday present.)Cons:* Disturbance from moving the cable does transmit to the buds. If moving around this might be an issue for some.Source: iPhone running iPeng streaming mp3 over home to office vlan from Slim/Logitech server on a DS414 NAS.
