I love it.... I had a decent budget of £100 for headphones. Bought the Aria pro to begin with at £90 but the quality was not up to the mark, it creaks, the sound leakage was bad with others in the room complaining and the sound was just ok, as soon as I heard them i felt like it was lacking in bass especially low end bass. So decided to return it and took a chance on the q20 as it was no 2 or no 3 on amazons top selling and I alo thought to try the tribit tune as they're similarly priced and come highly recommended for sound quality. The build quality on this is great no creaks, the sound is marvelous! The bass goes real low, mids are rich especially lower mids, highs are well rolled off making listening for long periods comfortable. The Tribit on the other hand has highs that can be a bit tiring and the bass on the tribit doesnt go as low. I find the bass in the q20 much richer. The tribits are louder though and the tribits sound clearer with a slightly larger soundstage. Overall if bass is important to you, you will love these over the tribits. If highs are more import to you then the tribits are better. The Aria pro I cant recommend to anyone for sound quality. The fit was a bit too tight initially but now after 2 days I guess they've 'broken in' and are comfortable, i find them more comfortable than the tribit but less so than the Aria pro but theyre not bad. The noise isolation (not noice cancellation) from the foam cups is excellent! I find it better than the tribit the tribit is already good but this takes it up a notch and is sometimes better than using ANC as the noise isolation is good sound leakage is minimal. The Aria pro was the worst in this regard.ANC is good on these and i couldn't hear the tap running while doing the dishes or even the vaccum cleaner. But using ANC results in a degradation in sound quality on these. Also if you're in a silent room and you switch ANC on you will hear white noise more like wind/flowing water and i recommend keeping ANC off when listening in a quiet room. With ANC off the mids are richer and overall sound is fuller. For me sound quality is more important than ANC and these just do it right when it comes to sound. Probably drivers that are capable of a wider frequency range make these richer sounding than other budget options that I have tried. The Bass up implementation is absolute rubbish and it severely degrades sound quality it would be better if the low end rumbled or went deeper with this switched on but instead mid bass is boosted and you lose clarity in the mids and highs basically bass is now everywhere in every frequency and voices become recessed and move to the back.Haven't owned it long enough to comment on the battery but it was 60% when i got them. I spent 2 - 3 hours listening and it was still 60% so overall battery must be good.Another minor niggle with these is when the volume is full and you try to raise it further it interrupts your music and beeps to let you know that volume is full. Just a small beep without the interruption would do.So of the 3 I bought I will be returning the Aria Pros (the most expensive) will definitely be keeping these and still thinking about the tribits might test them a bit more before deciding on whether i keep them or return them. They do have a slightly different sound signature and it could be worth owning both. If you like your bass to go low and want good sound quality on a budget i would recommend these. Under £100 id be surprised if it gets better than these.Update1: I returned the tribit tune as they were too uncomfortable to wear for more than an hour, guess I have big ears. Also the sound quality was not as good as these to me so didn't make sense keeping them. Id rather save that money and put it towards buying a sony xm3/xm4 in future. For now these have satisfied my needs and I will be sticking with them for the near future.Update2: So I couldn't resist and had to know what the fuss was about and got myself a pair of sony XM3s the "ultimate headphones". Trust me guys the difference in sound quality is negligible. The sonys are definitely better when it comes to noice cancelling, premium look and feel and overall design because of its slimmer profile. But when it comes to pure sound quality with the nc off the soundcore is nearly as good. The sound is rich, the bass goes quite low and lots of detial is present. Highs and mids are well rounded. With the sonys on the other hand the higs and mids sound a clearer but a bit sharper/shrill at higher volumes. The low end bass is less audible but bass overall is really tight and punchy.. rather than be audible it creates these waves you can feel on your ears like a rumble..where as on the soundcore the low end bass is more audible but it doesn't create this rumble its the best way i can describe it. Overall when i put on the soundcore i never feel like i miss the sonys these are a perfectly satisfying pair. They've even gotten more comfortable over time. In fact the sound leakage is better on the soundcore and i can use it when people are sleeping around me without disturbing them. Also thr plastic on the soundcore feels thicker and will gather less scratches and fingerprints makes it great for a beat around pair. For 40 bucks they're a steal. If like me you want a good pair of headphones but are wondering if the sonys are worth it... Well they do offer a lot of good things but if sound quality is your only criteria and you like a warm but detailed sound signature then the soundcore will certainly satisfy your needs but only with the nc off. With nc on the sound quality does deteriorate. But overall i would highly recommend the soundcore to anyone.

Normally, Anker products are really good, but these are dissapointing. If these where just headphones, they would be fine, they are comfortable, sound good (not audiophile good, but good enough), look kinda good (if a tad cluncky). But these are supposed to be noise cancelling headphones. And they do not cancel noise at all.The only discernible effect when you enable noise cancelling is that the headphones pump up the volume of what you are listening, but, once you compensate for that, the external sound dampening you get is the same that you would get by just the cushions of the headphones.Mind you, I tested with a punny Nokia E71 playing TMBG's Call_connected_through_the_NSA.mp3 not some hollywood explosion fest.I do not want "world around dissapears" kinds of Noise Cancelling, but if these can't cancel a punny E71... Well, disappointed/dissapointingEdit #1:The reason I hold Anker in high regard, I because of their customer service, and this is no exception. I posted the review in about July 18, 2020, and today July 21, 2020 they contacted me. At least we know they still have top notch customer support, even during a pandemic.Nonetheless, their sugestions were not very usefull:«- Make sure the NC button is turned on(the NC indicator would turn green) when you want them to cancel noise outside.»Yes, I know very well how to press the button to get the green light, and also, a very nice lady voice says "Noice Cancelling", so yes, I was 110% (one hundred and ten percent) sure noice cancelling was active.«- Try the headphones in different noisy places with NC on and off and see any difference.»Well, we are under lockdown. When I am able to move out, I have more important thing to do than test noise cancelling headphones. Nonetheless, I'll try to do it and report back to Anker Customer Support, and to you guys. I'll also try to get the 10 min silent MP3s from Samir Mezrahito really test this out.Edit #2:I was "finally" able to actuate on Anker product support's sugestion and "- Try the headphones in different noisy places with NC on and off and see any difference.".For testing purposes I used the headphones in BlueThooth mode (to eliminate any electrical intereference noise). And used the song "A a a a a a a a a Very good song" by artist Samir Mezrahi, which, as you perhaps know, consists of almost 10 min of silence.I tested in various scenarios:1.) In my car, windows down.2.) In my car windows up.3.) Reving up my car to 2500rpm (in the parking lot).4.) In a bus stop (with buses comming in and out).5.) In the electric stairs of a ghostly empty shopping mall.6.) In a queue to pay for medicines (with ambient music and people talking at moderate volume).7.) Near the air extractor of my home kitchen. My results:1.) If wind blows in the headphones you actually get MUCH MORE noise with NC on than with NC off, so forget using the noise cancelling in a ferry boat, or in a bus with no Air conditioning, or in your car with windows/roof open, or in your bike.2.) The NC was able to diminish humming noises (like the engine), but not clacking noises, or noises derived from potholes and such.3.) The NC was very effective at mitiganting the reeving.4.) The engine noise from the buses was mitigated, but not the clacking or the chatter from the people waiting.5.) Again, the humm of the motor of the staris was mitigated, but not the clacking noises.6.) In the queue, the souund of the air conditioner or the store was somewhat mitigated by the NC, but not the ambient music or the chatter, and that actually ended up being worse, because it made more noticeable the music and chatter.7.) The NC was decent with the air extractor of my kitchen. But, in scenarios 5, 6 & 7, I noticed that the NC tends to cancel the low frequencies, but the high ones are not mitigated at all (currently at my 47yo, i can hear up to 15Khz, so for younger peiople is probably worse), so, actually enabling NC will make any high pitch noice more noticeable (i.e. the frequency responce of the NC is not flat). Finally, if one bought these headphones with NC because the noise made by rain, the AC fan or compressor, or some other noise like that was disturbing, it it will diminish it a little (but not much), but if one bought noise cancelling headphones because one wanted to evade the sound of coworkers talking, or kids playing in the garden or your SO watching TV in the other room, these headphones will do nothing more than what headphones with no NC (and therefore less expensive) would have.Edit #3 (and Final):Anker contacted me, and offered two options, return the item (as a very special consideration, since I am a few MONTHS completely outside of the return window), or get a refund for 20% of the cost, to get a more suitable Item. Since I order to the USoA and then have my Items forwarded to Venezuela, it is a hassle to return Items, so I opted for the refund, and it went smoothly. That is the good thing of going with Anker. The litmus test of a good company comes when things go wrong, and Anker has a stellar reputation for making things right. Upgraded the review from one star to 4, but not on the account of the product itself, but rahter, due to the excellent customer service.

I saw these on a Today's Deal sale, and like a drug addict that likes hopscotch, I busted out the chalk sidewalk and started researching.Everyone loves these headphones. Your mom will love these headphones. They are not $300 Bose ANC headphones. (ANC stands for Always Be Closing. Sit Down. Coffee is for closers.) But they are 80-90% as good as Bose Active Noise Cancelling headphones at 1/5 the cost. You'll need to ask your kid or younger brother to help with that Algebra, but let's just say x = incredible value.Apparently Soundcore is an Anker company. This isn't obvious in some of the reviews you will undoubtedly read while on the toilet. But it's Anker made. Who hasn't had great experience with Anker stuff?Your purchase history here on Amazon already has 14 Anker purchases. This won't be your first or your last Anker purchase. Aside from making you feel dumb with your friends because no one can agree how to pronounce the "a" in Anker, their products are solid performers at a good price. And that's how I'd describe these headphones - like a really nice Honda amongst Acura, Lexus, etc. Or a really good TV dinner where they get the cheese right. These Soundcores are not beautiful. They won't help you get the girl (or the guy. or the cute non-binary person you saw Wednesday). But they absolutely will make you feel glad you bought them. They are solid in the hand, if a little cheap feeling - but only next to high end headphones. They aren't flimsy by any stretch (do not try to stretch them). The plastic is thick and has a matte finish. The headband adjustment is solid - easy to move and stays in place once set. Comfort is excellent. The earphone cushions are buttery soft (and not all greasy like butter. That would be gross. Butter on your ears sucks.) The soft ear cushions make a great seal on your ears and don't hurt after wearing for hours, even with glasses. Some reviewes mention that these headphones can get a little sweaty. That does not mean the headphones themselves. These headphones produce almost zero perspiration themselves. But they may make your head/ears/ear area sweat. Because of the great seal made by the cushions, and due to the material being all natural vinyl or something, it can make things a little warm after an hour. But if you're sitting at the bus stop in this humid heat, your ears are gonna sweat. At least these headphones will protect your ears from the loud noises of the bus and the other people at the bus stop who won't stop talking about Sammy and why he took off. You don't need to hear that story again. Poor Sammy. The ANC (not the chain of movie theaters) is good. For headphones at this price, the noise cancelling is excellent. So I guess that means the noise cancelling is excellent. At this price. These aren't high end Bose, dum-dum. These will remove a lot of exterior sound like a droning fan, dogs barking, a baby crying, a spouse asking you to do something, a police officer telling you that you can't lie here, a drive through operator asking you want you want over and over and over.I haven't tried these on a plane yet. But I will. If I say I'll come back and update this review after using them on a plane, that would feel disengenuous, because we both know that's not going to happen. I feel like there is a modicum of trust and intimacy established at this point, and I don't want to harm that. So let's just agree to disagree, OK? I bet these will be great on a plane.Sound is really really good. I won't say excellent because you might like artificially enhanced Beats-like bass response, and if you do, trying to explain what "subjective" means will take too long. I'm kidding. If you really like a bunch of bass, that doesn't mean you are stupid. I don't think calling someone stupid is OK. You just have terrible taste and judgment and probably only give 40% effort at everything. These sound clear and crisp. Bass response is good without being overbearing. (for those who really like heavy bass, that has nothing to do with bears).Sound is great. Really great. Way better than those earbuds you've been using that start to feel uncomfortable after 45 minutes. Go on, take the plunge. I promise you will happy with your purchase and grateful to me and then we can be friends. You will love these headphones. Later, you will learn to love me.I can tell you are losing interest. I know that look. I'll wrap this up. Buy these headphones. You won't be disappointed. Get a cheap hard case. I found one on Amazon for around $9. Now you have noise cancelling g headphones that sound great, fit great, last a very long time on a single charge, and you'll invest way under $100 all in. You will be the envy of your friends. Or at least your friends' ears.

Update after 9 months of use:Still very happy and have recommenced these to several friends looking for good over ear ANC headphones at a budget. No bluetooth signal loss, no signs of wear at all (but I do look after my gadgets) and ANC is decent enough blocking I'd say 80% of noise. Bose QC35 block probably 90%, Sony XM3 I'd say 95% but you do have to spend around £200 more to get that extra 10-15% - you have to decide for yourself if it's worth it. But having had the Bose they weren't comfortable for me, the Soundcore were better. I had to bent them out a bit to have less clamping force but after that I wore them on several 6hr+ flights and had no fatigue. As far as improvements go,I wish they were less bulky and that Soundocore provided a hard shell carry case (Taotronics do).Original review:This is my second go at reviewing these headphones.Initially I bought several headphones to compare and decide on my new pair of ANC headphones, having lost my original Taotronics Bh22 at the airport. I wanted a step up in terms of ANC quality and comfort. I got these Ankers and the 2019 version of BH22 at the same time. Whilst the Ankers were better than the TT, I found that the ANC was a bit too sensitive leading to wind noise and internal sound pick up issues. I ended up returning them both and decided to spend much more money on Bose QC35 - had them for about a week but wasn't that impressed with them at all especially for the money, and the cabin pressure sensation I got from them made me return them too. But that experience also made me think again about the Ankers. In the meantime Anker customer service got in touch and I ended up giving them another chance.I found that the ANC on the Ankers is actually not that far behind the Bose (and definitely better than TT). Obviously it depends how you use it, but I found that in my commute on London Underground, both the Bose and the Ankers let it some of the high pitched sounds. The Bose probably a bit better and removes a bit more of low humming noises, but the Ankers are pretty impressive especially as they are nearly £200 cheaper! Neither removed 100% of the noise so you still hear maybe l5-10%. The hybrid noise cancellation on these with external and internal mics (a major difference vs most other cheap ANC headphones) works well in my opinion. Plus if you have a larger head, a lot of the cheaper headphones in the £50 ish price range are just far too small. With the Ankers I have room to spare and I can bend the headband to fit me even better so they are not too tight. I found the pads actually more comfortable than the Bose, very similar to Sony 1000xm3.The initial complaint I had about wind noise pickup, I also experienced with the Bose. The difference with the Bose is that you have an app with the option to turn ANC down. But with the Ankers you can simply switch the ANC off with a button, which is much easier than the app, and even with ANC off the passive isolation of the ear cups works very well to remove a lot of the annoying sounds.Turning the ANC off also removes the problem I had with feedback from the cups when running / walking fast. The ANC is simply very sensitive - so keep that in mind. But it's not a big issue for me.The battery life is great too. Also I like that Anker have come up with an original design and colour which is very dark matt grey as opposed to a lot of other models on Amazon that all look the same cheap glossy black. My only real gripes are that I wish they were less bulky, and that the sound is too focused on mids and lows - if you like base you will like these, but I wouldn't use them for critical listening at home (which is fine, I have my Grados for that). But the comfort, ANC and general quality can't be beat for this price in my opinion. Plus, Anker customer service is outstanding. I am happy to recommend them.

TLDR; Unless you are an audiophile (a person who is especially interested in high-fidelity sound reproduction) buy these!I'm no audiophile, but I was pleasantly surprised by the clarity of these headphones. The treble, the mids and the bass are all very balanced. Speech sounds great, music is fantastic and for gaming these headphones are more than adequate. They have an exceptional range (compared to BT 4.0 ones). With BT 4.0 headphones if I walked much more than about 6 ft (2m) away from my PC with a wall in between, the sound would drop out and skip.On the Anker Soundcore Life Q20 BT 5.0 headphones I can quite easily go downstairs, in fact anywhere within my terraced house (town house for the US people)and there is absolutely no drop out whatsoever! They are reasonably comfortable on the ears. Long time wearers mileage may vary. You can use these with the headphone lead provided and you do not need to have them turned on, but there is no ANC. My personal experience was that the volume went louder this way, but as there was no ANC using this method of connection so if that is critical to your use you will need to use them wirelessly, thus using the battery. The noise cancellation works extremely well in a home environment. It dulls most low level continuous sounds, but will not hide loud human voices or intermittent higher pitched harsh sounds (like machinery, sirens, car horns)Pros:Inexpensive* Bluetooth 5.0 means great range (assuming you have a BT 5.0 transmitter)* Sound clarity is very good, in fact exceptional for the price. (Not BOSE or B&O quality, but worthy of headphones 3+ times the price)* Headphone lead provided and charge cable* Active noise cancelling works very well* Battery life seems good, as does charging time.* You don't need to power them on in wired mode, saving battery* Inconspicuous logos and look much more expensive.* Top volume setting is reasonable without blasting your eardrums out, but still sufficient to work as extra noise isolation! (It goes slightly higher with ANC turned off and even higher when in wired mode)* They do hinge and fold flat-ish (as can be seen in the photo on the Accessories part of the manufacturers product description)* All in all, the best set of headphones I've ever owned AND they're without wires!Cons:* ANC is not activated in wired mode - but you are not using power. (I haven't tried powering them up wired)* To get the best out of these headphones, you need a Bluetooth 5.x capable transmitter/dongle (most sold on Amazon are BT 4.x). However they are relatively inexpensive to buy (less than £10) and quite easy to find.* ANC is enabled by default (this may be a Pro for some, but does mean if you don't want it you have to turn it off with the button).* Volume may not be as high as some would like (if you are one of those people that doesn't care if people around you to are able to hear what you are listening too!) It is restricted by the manufacturer to around 95dB as it states at the bottom of the manufacturers product description.Overall:Would I recommend them? AbsolutelyWould I buy them again? Absolutely yes.Would I recommend other Anker products? Yes. Purchased before, never had a problem.Should you buy these headphones? That's your choice. Read a few more reviews and then decide.Update 10/APR/21 - Make sure to have the correct device selected if you use these with Windows 10 - Headphones (Soundcore Life Q20 Stereo), NOT Headset (Soundcore Life Q20 Hands-free AG Audio)The Headphones one is the what you want.Would I change my original review?: NoWhat rating would it be now?: Still a 5Would you still recommend buying them?: Yes. Great over ear headphones for a reasonable price with really good ANC and decent sound quality.

If you are on the fence about what NCH (Noise Cancelling Headphones) to purchase look no further! No doubt you’ve googled what's best and seen the results – the Sony XM3’s seem to come out top everywhere but they are over £200 at the time of this review – that's x4 the cost of these. So, do these £50 headphones really live up to all these great reviews? Yes. Yes, they do! I’m usually too lazy to type out a review so the fact that I am is testament to how good they are.Noise cancelling – when you turn the Q20’s on NC is enabled by default, having never experienced it before I found it quite bizarre to start with (in a good way). All the low frequency sounds are completely blocked out and anything else just seems muffled and deadened.I have read the Sony XM3’s do a better job but considering how well these block out sound I can’t see them being worth the extra money unless you REALLY care about it (and have the cash to spend). Turning off NC allows the sound in the mid – top range of music to come to life even more so if you feel you don’t need NC on, turn it off and let these Q20’s really impress you with the sound quality they can produce.Bass Up – this is a feature built into the headphones that allows you to increase the bass on music you’re listening to. It’s easy to enable to see the difference, personally most of the time I prefer it off but for some bass driven music it is fun to have it enabled and feel your ears shake as the 40mm drivers do their thing.3.5mm Jack – I PC game a lot, the Q20 doesn’t come with any Bluetooth dongle, so you’ll need to purchase one if you want to connect them to non-Bluetooth enabled hardware. I found with the jack that you lose all the built in EQ features and it instead relies on the input of whatever device is playing the sound – in my case my PC was giving a very flat sound which was very underwhelming. After messing with the EQ on the PC (turning the sound profile to “powerful”) it produced the same effect as using Bluetooth so I’m very happy with that. I’ll update this review when I purchase a Bluetooth dongle and share my experiences.Bluetooth – I was expecting it to be rubbish based on reviews of other cheap Headphones – what do I mean by this? Movies or games, where there sound playing in the Headphones needs to react instantly to what is happening on the screen. I tested this on my phone (iPhone11), watched a movie and I can happily confirm there was no delay to the sound, which was a nice surprise! I’ve yet to test it with other devices to see if this was a one off.Battery Life – 40 hours with NC on – 60 with NC off. Based on my heavy usage so far, I think that is correct!Fit and feel – There are a lot of complaints that the Q20’s feel “bulky” but I personally find them to be light and quite sleek considering they are housing all the tech. Having used them for extended periods (4 hours +) I had no pressure pain, even wearing glasses.Carry case – Not used, seems like a water-resistant bag which will offer little protection to potential crush damage, but then who would be stupid enough to put something like this in that situation? I have no plans to travel with them but if I did, I’d probably use the bag and be happy with it – most of the time they’d be on my head anyway!Summary (if you made it this far) - I’ve never been happier with a purchase and would recommend these to anyone who is looking for a decent pair of Headphones. The features, battery life and sound quality are off the charts considering the price. Very glad I went with these rather than pushing my budget WAY over to get the XM3’s.

What an incredible pair of headphones for the price. I would even buy again at the $10 higher price. I have owned these since Jan 2020, and they have been amazing. While the noise cancellation is not as good as Bose and Sony, it is very close in my opinion. Warning (or bonus) as a parent of small children the noise cancellation works so well I can not hear it when my children are screaming for us at night from their room (my spouse has gotten frustrated by my being oblivious to the crying and not getting out of bed to help them), so I have to turn that feature off at night.Great construction and fantastic overall sound quality with good lows(even without the bass boosting feature which I simplydo not use as I consider it unnecessary with the overall bass performance of the headphones).Great battery life is great and the charge is relatively quick (I charge them about every other week while sleeping when it gets to low power ~30%) and use them for 30-40 hours between charges. The battery like have remained long after 9 months of frequent use.The range is great. I generally use them with my iPhone, but I have listened to music on my front lawn with my phone sitting on the back porch about 75 feet away (and through the house) before the connection started to get weaker and loose some signal. And the comfort is AMAZING for someone with a larger head like myself. They are truly my favorite headphones to wear for any length of time. They do not get hot like many over the ear headphones I have used in the past, and they also do not make my ears feel overly pressured like the Bose (I think they were QE35) that I borrowed from a friend for a plane ride years ago.The only letdown compared to my beats solo3 and my SoundCore Spirit X headphones which I also use frequently, is that sometimes the bluetooth will unpair from my phone, but that seems to really only happen when nothing it playing for a while or then the power gets low, I wish this didn’t happen, but I accept it as a reality when it comes to sub $100 bluetooth headphones.Overall I would give them a 9/10. The only real room for improvement is the Bluetooth connection. I accept that the noise cancellation COULD be better like the $300+ Bose and Sony versions. However, that is simply unnecessary in my opinion as the noise cancellation is already Superb in its current form.I would absolutely recommend these to anyone who is looking for a great set of over the ear headphones at a bargain price.EDIT 01/07/2021 - So about a week ago I started to have problems with the right earphone cutting off and music only playing out of the left ear speaker. The headphone are 11.5 months old at this point and I contacted Anker, with the expectation of being told that it it was not covered under the warranty. Needless to say I was delighted when Anker/Soundcore said they would send me a replacement pair. I received the replacement set earlier tonight (much faster then expected) and I am once again enjoying these great headphones, and I am very happy to have stereo sound again.I have always liked Anker/Soundcore/Eufy products based on their superior fit and finish at a reasonable price, and now feel even more confident about continuing to choose Anker products when given the option I. The future (even over more name brand/luxury options), knowing how well the product is backed if an issue does arises. I have really loved the Q20’s and I am so glad to get to continue to enjoy using them in the future.

NTRODUCTION:I am Audiophile and I have collected number of high end over the ear headphones from Bowers & Wilkinson, Sennheiser and Sony. In the world of headphones, it is always three-way tug of war between top-notch sound quality, wireless-freedom and need to have ANC (Active Noise Cancelling). While these requirements are sometimes contradictory, sound engineers are coming up with design which will complement these features as much as possible. It should be noted that Anker Soundcore Q20 features Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation. While Headphones such as this would generally not be on Audiophile’s wishlist, Anker Soundcore Q20 is great sounding consumer headphones in the price range. It features High resolution Audio and Hybrid Active Noise cancellation.DESIGN & FEATURES:Anker Soundcore Q20 comes if Black only so there are no colour choices. To me they look sleek and simplistic. It's a decent looking headphone that feels well built.I also liked how elliptical ear cups fits and feels. It feels comfortable and ergonomic. Also “l” and “R’ are printed inside the ear cups which is great. After listening long hours, all I can say is they are very comfortable to wear for long time. Having said that, these are not the most comfortable headphones I have tried. They are not very heavy. Q20 folds flat for easy transportation in included carry case. The Q20 features Hi-Res audio. It does not have aptX Bluetooth support like high end headphones which is normal for this price range. The headphones offer a frequency range of 16Hz to 40kHz and impedance of 16 ohms which looks awesome at this price range.40 hours of battery life is awesome and headphones charges pretty fast. You can also fast charge for just 5 minutes to get 4 hours of listening time.HOW DO THEY SOUND:If I have to describe sound quality of this headphones in one sentence, I would say “They sound above average - good”. The word of caution is definition of good sound varies from person to person as each one has different liking for particular type of sound profile and each headphone has strength and weakness in certain genre of music so ultimately depends on what kind of music you are into.Vocals are decently well defined and clear. The bass response is rich and warm with punchy mid and high-frequency sound. I would say bass is little high and this headphones are designed to be stronger on Bass. Double press the play button to even even amplified supercharged Bass experience for genres like hip-hop or EDM. It has good clarity and was natural sounding in the midrange and overall. The bass goes deep and punchy. Overall soundstage feels open, wide and natural sounding.Noise Cancellation is great too. It works surprisingly good when compared to headphones that costs 3-4 times the price of this headphone.THE GOOD· Great Sound quality for this price range· Open, Wide and natural sounding soundstage· Good build quality· Flawless wireless operation· Good battery life - almost 40 hours· Good comfort· BassUp technology for high amplification· Quick Charge mode - charge for only 5 minutes to listen for 4 hours.THE BAD· None considering the price rangeCONCLUSION:I love what you get as overall package Q20. Though they not 100% perfect, it has great balance of price, comfort and sound quality. Further, combine it with with great battery life, fast charge time and great build quality, this is definitely a stellar value for headphone. Highly Recommended!!

For £52 price I payed, it's an absolute bargain, yes it can't rival £250-£300 headphones like the Sony 1000xm4 but it punches way above it's weight, the ACTIVE NOISE CANCELLING works great for the gym, travel and even in cafes didn't realize how noisy the world can be. It doesn't stop all noise it like turns the volume down on ambient sounds especially engin rumble and lows, you can still hear people talk but I was looking out the window music was low and I couldn't hear the ticket inspector until he tapped me on the shoulder. As for AUDIO I waited a week because new audio stuff needs to be driven in before it operates how it's designed to. First of the bass is a little to high,on some music like rock or classical for instance it really gets in the way, not a problem with pop, RnB or hip-hop. The headphones have a bass up setting, don't use it unless you like epic amount of bass and not much else. All that being said you can buy an equaliser app for about £0.50-£5 for your phone/tablet. My phone has a equaliser built in many brands do, after tweaking the base down WELL! AMAZING! The bass is great still just not over done now it thumps well and the timing is spot on as for the mids and highs they're tight really well presented I'm hearing detail in the voices, guitar work and symbols I've never heard using Bluetooth headphones before. The stereo separation is excellent, good amount of fidelity all through the sound range. At the very high end some sounds can be a little harsh but it's very rare I witness it. BUILD QUALITY/DESIGN (I have the black version) the design is subtle and really quite premium the branding is minimalist and hard to make out which I love no shouting look what I am. The materials feel really nice as good as plastic can get no creeks, no sounds when I fold them up or put them on. They're not to heavy I can wear them for several hours without no issues. As comfortable as an over ear headphones really can get. BATTERY LIFE;well it's something you're not going to worry about I can get a week on a charge with about 4hours a day use, I gym ever day for about 90mins with ANC on WIRELESS RANGE really good I can walk around the gym up to 20meters away that's as fare as I can get in my gym from my phone no issues, walking around only very rarely is there any interference best reception I've had on BT headphones. The CONTROLS work well but could be a little better, the volume up and down seem a little low quality when pressed (like I said for £52 they are above what I'd have expected) the other butters are fine no touch control. CALL QUALITY; my voice sounds really good for Bluetooth headphones not saying much as BTheadphones in generally have bad voice quality but these are the best I've heard so far. In noisy environments underground stations and city centers the background noise does make it hard to be heard sometimes this is about average for BT headphones. I can hear them speaking just fine though. SUM UP; for £52 I can't fault them. SO WHAT ARE YOU MISSING OUT ON COMPARED TO MORE EXPENSIVE ANC HEADPHONES; ok so there's no app to configure the Q20, the active noise cancelling can't be adjusted it's either on or off, there's no pass through mode (hear everything outside like you're not wearing headphones) that's fine just take em off. No touch controls if you're into that thing. And finally they charge via the old micro USB rather than USB C which most phones use now

I really like the design, sound and functionality of the headphones and to be honest I really don't dislike anything about these headphones I mean for a $40 that's a steal from anker products and i have the bose qc25 and I could say I'm not really an audiophile but I do know which sounds good and which sounds great so i really couldn't distinguish anything between the bose and the anker and I paid about $299 3 years ago and I paid $40 for anker so do the math and I'm pretty sure if someone is leaving a negative review which I hope are honest cause for $40 it sums it all and to be honest I want to buy more,so my whole family can get one each and that's how confidence I'm about the anker and finally in my last sum up I wanted to talk about the battery i mean wow 40 hours depending on the NC is off or on so that's just amazing. Thanks anker and I bought the headphone with my own money and anker did not send me anything for free this is all me and I'm not really a review writer where you have 3 pages of review I'm just a sums up guy.On 12.31.19After testing it for 2 weeks I found some cons but very minimal and everything good. The goodThe sound quality gets better the more you use it the better it gets so they require certain amount of burn ins.As far as noise cancelling it is doing what it suppose to I mean I paid like $40 for the amount of perks I got on these the high resolution audio codec is enough for me to like these headphones lot.The badIt's a small price to pay but it only happens when ANC is turned on so while I have the headphones on my head and I tried to close the door on the car I hear a static noise o don't know if it's a hardware issue or software it's just happens for that second but you definitely hear it and also when your adjusting the headband for headphones than you will hear it too again it doesn't bother me maybe it will bother some people. Also I really haven't tested the headphones while walking or in the wind haven't had that situation yet so once I test them while it's windy and or when j walk I'll write it down. Again for $40 this doesn't bother me I'll use this while sitting down if I have to I'll use my bose for walking and windy situation, but I really like the headphones.Updated!!!!!!!1.13.2020I spoke to anker about the popping noise when I adjust the headband it only happens when ANC is active and you also hear the noise when you close the car door and also happens if their is a bump on the road so anyway I emailed anker and they stated that the updated version doesn't make that noise and that we as anker will send new headphones and return the defective one back so that's what I did and if anyone has the same problem just contact anker and they will send a prepaid postage and once they know the headphones is reroute they will send tracking number for a new headphones and yes I received it today and yes the popping noise is their no more yesss!!! Anker goes above and beyond to take care of their customers and now they have a long life customer and will continue to buy anker products and of their is any issues with it just a email will resolve the problem that your having. Thank you anker.

As an ADHD adult who needs serious help in an open office, this is one of the best products available on Amazon.I have tried a lot of products and by far would recommend this over many other high priced options for a variety of reasons.Bottom line upfront, I have another (very well known brand) that I paid 10x the price for and have been very happy with over the years, absolutely zero complaints. But, I did not want them to disappear at my workplace. Did a lot of research in addition to the Amazon reviews and my original primary goal was just obtaining a decent pair of (work) headphones at a reasonable price.Highly recommend you also research the web and do the same as well because you will find two common traits listed below and this product often listed as one of the best deals in the ANC realm. They are a perfect solution for any professional or student that is looking to increase their productivity and also effectively have the ability to use them for music or phone calls.Look for two common traits that many outside websites often provide feedback on when they do their reviews.1) Ankers ANC competes with the more expensive brands and their sound quality often exceeds anything you are expecting at any price level with the exception of probably $400+ range.2) These external reviews often recommend selecting headphones that are comfortable and have a long battery life if you are needing to wear for extended hours. As a result, this set constantly rate higher on comfort levels and in the battery level rankings compared to much more expensive brandsDue to the pandemic, I have been using these at home now as I now have to telecommute. Simply put, they have been just as effective as using in the office for blocking out a new set of distractions/sounds within my neighborhood. Plus, without my work hands free headset, they are now my primary cordless tool for phone calls.Anyhow, here is the best story, a few weeks ago I ran into an issue where they were no longer able to hold a charge. Of course, that is when I realized I needed to contact Anker customer service. They not only stood by their product and fixed the situation but the entire return/replacement process was absolutely painless. No need to go into all the details, but I am an extremely happy customer based on how they not only stood by their product but did so in such a quick and efficient manner. Furthermore, they also contacted me shortly after to make sure everything was ok.Here is the point, not many companies provide this high level of customer service anymore. Honestly, I never considered I would have any issues with the headphones but when I did, they fixed everything immediately without me having to initiate the conversation. The followup email was even better because I realized they are committed to building lifetime customers and you are not simply another sales number.Again no complaints about my other higher priced brand and they have been flawless. But, in retrospect, if I would have bought these headphones first, I would have used my saved money for something else fun like a quick vacation or another gadget.Great product, great company

Full disclosure, I'm not exactly a full-blown audiophile. However, I couldn't seem to find anything resembling a more audio-quality focused review for these on head-fi and other sites, so I figured I'd do a brief(ish) sound overview.Going into this I wasn't expecting much, and to be honest, I didn't get much. But I'll try to convince you why that's okay, and these are still a pretty good buy, imo.The following is for the "normal" EQ mode, which in reality isn't all that normal whatsoever. Tests were done using lossless FLAC files through a mid-range DAC. Whether or not you believe in burn-in, I did let them play for a little while before doing any testing.Starting at the low end, it's a bassy mess.Sub-bass is actually alright, maybe slightly overtuned. Mid-bass becomes a terribly bloated, muddy monstrosity and to add insult to injury, it's boosted to appalling amounts. Very unpleasant.Lower mid to midrange follows similarly and sounds slightly closed. Moderate to severe congestion issues with bass, and it even bleeds a bit into higher mids and presence range as well. As a result, vocals are less than desirable. Everything sounds relatively laid-back even at high volume. Also, there's an AWFUL sibilance somewhere around 2k-3kHz, leading some hi-hats to sound almost like white noise. The highs beyond that are just decent. They can get a little glassy and bright but they hold up nicely otherwise.Overall, these headphones have a complete disregard for balance (which I expected) and hold a very typical V shaped signature. Clarity is barely passable, and soundstage is unimpressive. After a bit of EQ, they do sound better, but of course, that is up to the user.No type of aptX seems to be supported. Audio performance is slightly (yet noticeably) better wired, but Bluetooth connectivity is great and hissing is kept to an impressive minimum. The bass boost function is there, but why anyone would choose to use it is beyond me. The ANC is alright; it doesn't do the sound quality any favors. So far the review been pretty negative, but keep in mind the price and intended purpose. For a pair of $60 Bluetooth cans from a company that's basically still a baby in the audio industry, these are honestly not bad. What they lack in sound they make up for in build quality, comfort, and ease of use. I bought these to use on the subway, walking down the street, etc. and they perform very well in those environments. They were never meant to be studio monitors. The ear cushions are very soft and offer many hours of listening before getting uncomfortable/hot. Media and volume controls are tactile and easy to use. Construction is solid - creaking/microphonics at the hinges are not present when moving around. If you're using these outside or near other people, chances are that the surrounding environmental noise will cover up the sub-stellar audio quality anyways, even with the ANC on. At the end of the day, I'd still recommend these for anyone who wants a comfortable and convenient pair of wireless headphones. They feel very nice, and even smell kind of nice right out of the box.

I bought these on a whim because I wanted to be able to listen to my stereo and play guitar without bothering my downstairs neighbor, and I'm really glad I did. While I haven't yet figured out how to play from my receiver to these headphones, I use them with my phone and they've performed well beyond my expectations. As a real world example of how well these work, I'm sitting at my home office desk which is well within earshot of both my dishwasher and washing machine, both of which are running as I write this. I'm listening to my phone and I can't hear either of those two appliances with the headphones on, but when I pull them away from my ears I can hear both roaring away.Oddly,I'm not even 100% sure I was aware of the fact that these were noise canceling headphones when I bought them; I just really like Anker products (as I look at three pairs of Anker Soundbuds Slim+ and an Anker Soundcore 2 speaker sitting on my desk in front of me) and for the price I figured I'd pick up a pair of these, too. For what it's worth I got these when they went on sale, but even for $60 I guarantee these are worth the money. Now if I can figure out how to broadcast sound from my home theater receiver to these things then in addition to being happy myself I know my downstairs neighbor will be REALLY happy too.UDPATE: Okay, after living with these headphones for a few weeks now I've got to do a quick follow-up to my initial review to explain a shortcoming I've noticed in the interim, which has reduced my rating from the initial "oh these are awesome" 5-star rating to a more reasonable "these are okay" 3-star rating.Basically, they seem to make a pulsating type of low-pitched thumping noise while trying to cancel certain types of noise. It's not exactly loud per se, but it's definitely noticeable and annoying. I typically put these on when I'm running the dishwasher while working from home, and it gets to the point where I'd rather hear the dishwasher than the thumping noise.I also noticed a pretty noticeable lag when I tried to play guitar on Rocksmith 2014 through my PS4, into my receiver, then out to these using a Bluetooth transmitter, but in all fairness it's hard to know exactly where to place the blame for the lag because there are so many pieces of electronic equipment between the source and my ears in this setup.SECOND UPDATE: As of today, 3/17/20, I'm doing one final revision to my review based on Anker's tenacious approach to customer service. They noticed that I reduced my original rating from five to three start and have since sent me no fewer than three emails offering to do everything from send me a new pair of headphones to allowing me to exchange these headphones for another of their products. While I'm not taking them up on their offer if for no other reason than I'm satisfied with the headphones for the price I paid, their active engagement with me post-sale does say a lot about why I'm so loyal to this brand. By and large they make good products at a great price, and when a customer indicates otherwise they try hard to rectify the issue.

So... I already own some Sennheiser BT 4.50 noise cancelling headphones, but wanted a spare cheap pair as back up (and that I would leave at work, where I would use them for listening to some chill out music whilst working and blocking out the noise from my colleagues).Music:Initially tested on Mansun's "I can only disappoint u", Chemical Brothers "go" and Portishead's "glory box (live)".Highs are very clear. Mids are fine. But the bass is a bit overcooked (and that is without using the bass boost function). So, definitely not for serious audiophiles, but nonetheless pretty good and ok for 90% of people.I would rank the bass as worse than the Sennheisers, but the mids/highs as good as the Sennheisers.Overall pretty good and well within expectations for <£50 headphones.EDIT: after a day I have got used to the bass and don't find it a huge issue.Noise cancellation:Well... I was quite surprised. As soon as I put the headphones on, I felt the atmosphere around me go dead (apart from a little muffled chatter and some faint clicking of colleagues keyboards). The headphones did a much a better job of noise cancelling than I expected for their price (and are at least equal to my more expensive Sennheisers - possibly better - when used in the office environment). Will update the review if/when I get to take them outdoors and on public transport (although I do expect them to effectively cut out engine and wind noise, as they completely cut out the noisy office air con).Build quality:Well the plastics do feel a bit cheap... not the worst, but definitely not premium. I would treat them with care.Having said that, they look quite nice - a reasonably discreet and tasteful design (which cannot be said about a lot of headphones at the cheaper end of the market. The padding on the earcups... many people have praised how soft they are. I have to say they felt a bit too squidgy and seemed to lack the structure of the more expensive Sennheisers. That said, they felt comfortable enough out of the box and provide a reasonable seal around the ear. So fine for now, but only time will tell how well they wear.Usability:They came with a manual. Within a minute I had them switched on a paired with my laptop for the first time. Quick and easy. The noise cancelling button and power button are on the left earcup, whereas the +, - and multifunction buttons are on the right earcup. All fine.Overall, I would say these are very decent headphones. But at <£50 they offer exceptional value for all round performance in sound, noise cancelling and comfort. Recommended.Other:They come with a pouch which looks good for protecting them from water/sand/dirt when out and about, but not for structural protection (but I wouldn't necessarily expect a hard case at this price point).EDIT: If using the headphones for skype calls, you may need to turn the noise cancelling off - with the NC turned on the users on the other end of the call could not hear me properly.

After breaking my AKG headphones, I tried my colleagues' holy grail Sony and Bose noise cancelling sets so I knew what the best possible performance was, and set out hunting for a set that would do almost as well for a fraction of the price. These are them! I rave about these headphones. They're 'my skin is glowing my crops are flourishing my life is vastly improved, thank you Anker' level great.SOUND. Like everything Anker make, the sound quality is really good. No, it's not quite as full or rich as it is on the Sonys that will set you back £300+, but for a set of headphones I got for £40 it's unbelievable. The noise cancelling works well to cancel out high frequency sounds (beeping, voices),though it will still let in lower pitches. It can be turned off easily if you don't need it. It's a godsend in the morning to block out the squealing tube rails and phone alert beeps for a calmer commute.BASS BOOST. The bass boost is a fun but probably unnecessary feature. I use it occasionally to make acoustic or electronica tracks sound a bit 'fuller'.CONNECTIVITY. They connected easily to my phone and laptop on first try (my old headphones refused to connect to my macbook) and continue to do so automatically now when I turn them on.BUILD QUALITY. They feel less sturdy than really expensive sets, of course. But they're not flimsy, the plastic feels good, and the overall build quality is pretty good. The buttons have a satisfying click and aren't going to get clogged if you leave the headphones sitting in the gunk at the bottom of your bag.BATTERY LIFE. Aside from the price, another key selling point for these compared to pretty much all other headphones is the battery. The battery life is frankly wizardry. These last so long I can't remember when I last charged them and I use them every day. The claim that you can charge them for five minutes to get four hours of use is completely true – amazing when they're dead and you have to leave for work in ten.COMFORT. I'm a petite person with a small head, and most headphone manufacturers appear to think that everyone has the same size head as a 6'2" man. My last pair of higher price-point headphones were somehow simultaneously too loose that they'd fall off, and sat such that they were really sore. I desperately wanted a pair that I could put on and almost forget I was wearing. These have completely fit the bill. They're totally over-ear, the cushions are so soft, I don't find they get too hot, they don't make my glasses dig into my head, and even after 6 hours of wear I can barely feel them.TLDR. These have turned me into an Anker evangelist. You're not going to find more comfortable, better built, better sounding headphones with a longer battery life than these for less than £180, let alone for the minuscule price point these retail at.
