Bought these to drown out the sounds from neighbour's kids and to enjoy my music/television without disturbing other people.I had been loaned a set of very expensive headphones to try as an experiment but they were well beyond my price reach, so I read the Argos customer reviews and, along with my previous experience of Panasonic products, decided to chance these, and I'm so glad I did!Very good sound quality, maybe a bit too much bass, but good sound reproduction for the price.Very comfortable, even on my big head (fully adjustable headband), "single ear monitoring" too, an inline volume control is also included as well as the jack adapter for connecting to "older" equipment that doesn't have the modern mini-jack,all at a great price! To give you an idea how good these are: I was wearing them the other day, listening to the radio, when the doorbell rang and I went to the door, only to discover it had been a sound effect on the radio! So realistic and lifelike it has scared me a few times, like the footsteps approaching from behind......!If you want top end hi-fi quality and totally perfect reproduction then perhaps you'll spend your money on something more expensive. Me? I'll stick with these thanks, they are great and highly recommended for day-to-day use!Ps. They get a 4* rating from me purely because I'm pedantic and don't give 5* very often, don't read too much into that!

I've been using these for probably a year or so now, since my Sony "on-ear" headphones were making my ears hurt (glasses wearer). I was a bit skeptical as they were so cheap, but decided to go for it because of the other positive reviews. The sound quality is great. With them being closed back there is very little 'leakage' which is important for me as i use them in an open plan office. The cable is a good length, easy to route it past objects on my desk, and not rip it out of the socket if i forget about them and stand up!They are undeniably not the prettiest of headphones. The swath of grey plastic is.... dated maybe? But they are very comfortable and I can wear them for hours without discomfort. The one thing I've had to tinker with is that they're designed for someone with a bigger head than me! I solved that problem though - it turns out that the cheap wraparound velcro pads you get for car seatbets fits perfectly around the headband and provides enough padding that they fit very well.I'd buy another set if anything ever happens to these ones, which I guess says it all.

These have become my most used headphones, out of about six sets, not because they are the best (they aren't) but because they are compact, reliable, and sturdy. And because I don't mind if I break them. I own ones that are £150 that have the most amazing sound quality, are unbelievably comfortable, and have LED light-shows built in. But I rarely use them because they are clunky and I fear damaging them. They are too expensive to replace. So I use these ones. My old, reliable, faithful friends.Their sound quality is fine. A little boomy at first, but now I don't notice it. They are comfortable to wear for extended periods; a little tight but not enough to be a problem. The volume control is more useful than I'd expected, and hasn't yet developed any annoying crackles that one would expect with a miniaturized variable capacitor. The lead is not too long and not too short, and again has so far avoided developing any crackles indicative of wear - despite heavy daily use.Overall, these are a good workhorse set of headphones. Suitable for extended daily use.

I was pleasantly surprised by the good sound quality from these headphones since they were so cheap. I find them very comfortable and they fit completely over my ears unlike some which aren't quite big enough to cover the entire ear. They are adjustable so that the bit going over your head doesn't have to rest on the top of your head. The cable appears strong and is extremely long (I knew this before buying). I have used them for Netflix movies on my phone and laptop while my wife watches something I'm not interested in on the TV, and she says she cannot hear any noise leakage from them even though I have them turned up pretty loud. I've also used them for music and again the sound quality seems good, though I'm by no means a sound expert (experts would probably buy much more expensive ones). I'm very happy with them and have actually bought another two of them since my wife and daughter also wanted a set after seeing and trying then. So just hope they last a good while although I can't complain given the low price !Read full review...

These were purchased for late night TV listening. The two main reasons for choosing these were the longer cable (3 M) and the in-line volume control; this makes adjustments easier than having to access the TV sound menu, because Films are usually quieter than TV programmes, for example. My only gripe with these when new (two months ago) was that the headband was rather tight. After a bit of gentle stretching outwards, (being careful not to fracture the plastic!) they have now become more comfortable. Apart from that, like all Headphone sets I've had with "ear cups" before, the ear cups could be a bit bigger; and I don't have larger ears!Panasonic sound is acceptable, but not the brightest for music.OK for TV and general with no tininess or too harsh a bass. Overall, good value.

Whilst I must admit I have been a Panasonic fan for many years, these actually replaced a pair of faulty Sony Headphones that decided to become mono only - i.e. the LHS failed due to a loose connection. Frustrated I bought these on a whim! I must say, I am no audiophile but the difference between the Panasonic Headphones and my damaged Sony's was night and day! After an hour or 2 of listening these were far better and I was hearing noises in my music and movies that was driving me to distraction - but in a good way. The quality was fantastic! I listen to FLAC music files mainly to preserve the 'lossless' quality but even on my mp3s the difference I would say is noticeable. These headphones and the Seller are both Highly Recommended!

I have now owned these headphones for 1 1/2 years and they are still going strong. I use them everyday for at least 3 hours and I can safely say they are very reliable and very much worth the price. I find them very comfortable and good for watching videos and gaming. They do lack a bit of bass and can be quiet at times but overall the sound quality is very good. I by no means look after them either, I have dropped them and tripped over them numerous times but they keep going. The ear pads are still comfortable and the cable is a good length and has lasted perfectly fine (unlike previous more expensive gaming headphones I have owned).Very happy with how well built they are and would definitely buy another pair.

Bought these for kids watching dvd players in the car because the very simple kind of earphone were falling down from the ears very often. They enjoyed music/television without disturbing the rest of the family.I decided to chance these because of the reviews, and I'm so glad I did!Very good sound quality for the price.Very comfortable and an inline volume control is also included. All at a great price! If you want top end hi-fi quality and totally perfect reproduction then perhaps you'll spend your money on something more expensive. I'll stick with these thanks, they are great and highly recommended for day-to-day use!

I bought these for playing electric guitar through an amp.I've only used once for an hour last night but the sound quality was great and they were very comfortable. The cable is a good length for playing guitar and it is lightweight yet sturdy.I bought a similar pair of headphones from a chinese brand, similar price and spec, and these Panasonic ones are much better sound quality when compared side by side listening to MP3. They are also far more comfortable (the chinese ones hurt my ears after 30 mins, same problem I had with my previous chinese headset, its caused by bad design of the padding / earcuff).

I purchased these headphones mainly because the brand has a good reputation for quality and I am most pleased with the overall performance. The ear speakers are very comfortable although they are slightly smaller than my other old set and I would say my ears are a medium size. If you have large ears these may be not so comfortable. The sound is very good and with the volume control and long cable they are very versatile. They seem well made and have a decent thickness cable and the jack fits securely into my radio and my mp3 player..

I wanted a comfy pair of headphones with volume control, and these have both qualities. Much better than expected for the cost. only 2 drawbacks: 1) 3m cord is just overkill, but I suppose some people want to plug them into tv or dvd player so thats fair enough. and 2) there is a wire going to each side of the headphones - most headphones have a single wire to just one ear, with a discreet loop to the next ear, which would have been less intrusive. but like i said earlier for the price i am well chuffed. definitely recommend

I am so pleased with these. I have always found headphones uncomfortable. The plug-in ones don't fit in my ears and the headphone variety always begin to hurt if I keep them on for any length of time. Since they don't fit properly I have to have the volume full on to hear anything. These are WONDERFUL. Comfortable, efficient. I can wear them all day. At last I can hear music the way it's supposed to sound - properly balanced. And I hear all sorts of peripheral sound that I just couldn't pick up before. Highly recommended.

The build quality is fine but as others have commented they are quite small.I found after an hour or two they began to make my ears hurt where they pinched against my head.I do wear glasses but other similar sized headphones didn't hurt like this even with my glasses on.If you have a small head buy these. They work well for television listening and are fine for music. With the three metre cable being perfect for TV.I think I'll gift these to someone with a smaller head. Pity because otherwise they are ok.

I bought the headphones as I needed a cheap but comfortable pair of padded headphones to listen to the audio of films on my tablet whilst flying.I've found a lot of the small in-ear headphones just don't allow me to hear anything on a plane because of the engine noise, and I had left my usual large headphones behind, so I thought I'd try these. I was very impressed with the results. I'd go so far as to say they're better than my usual pair I left behind and I was able to hear very clearly.

Great value for money. My son seems to go through headphones like some people go through shoes. He loves this pair of headphones particularly the long lead that allows him to have the headphones in a better position. The actual headphones are both very, very comfortable, great quality and certainly worth the money. Once again the service at Argos was OUTSTANDING. The Staff including the Manager at the Argos Branch In Ripon deserve alot of Credit. They go the extra mile to help you. Thank you
