Edit: Wow, I’ve had these earphones for a full year now and they’re showing no signs of slowing down. I’ve never had a pair of earphones last more than 3 months at most, let alone a full year ! I honestly can’t believe these earphones have lasted me a full year with very heavy usage, and they’re still as good as the day they arrived. Amazing ! Please, do yourself a favour and buy these earphones ! I’m absolutely gobsmacked. Well done House of Marley !I don't normally write reviews but I feel compelled to write one about these earphones.First of all, I absolutely love the eco-friendly aspect of this product. I am a big fan of eco-friendly products and am working towards a zero-waste lifestyle. These earphones fall right in line with these values. They're made of eco-friendly and recyclable materials like wood and aluminium. Even the packaging is easily recyclable and the instructions are made of recycled paper, so a big well done on that part !Second, the quality of these earphones is impeccable. The sound is amazing, I have no wear and tear on these at all even though I have had them for 5 months. Now, that might not sound like a long time but I use my earphones a lot and very heavily, I use them when I'm walking, doing chores, on the bus, working out, in bed before I go to sleep. You name it, I'll be using my earphones. Most, if not all to be honest, brands of earphones break on me within the 1-2 month mark, at most 3 months. However, like I say, I have had these earphones for 5 months and there's no sign of them giving up on me any time soon.Honestly, PLEASE do yourself a favour and get yourself a pair of these earphones !! You will not regret it. If anyone asks for earphone recommendations, I always tell them about these. I'm also considering buying a speaker from this brand as I am so pleased with the quality of these earphones. Highly recommend !!!

These House of Marley Smile Jamaica In ear headphones boast a very Eco friendly, recyclable construction. The rear housing is made from sustainable wood and the internal mechanism from recycled aluminium. The cable itself is braided to should in theory make it hard for the wires to break or deform inside there. Though all of these design choices are nothing if the unit doesn't deliver on sound. Well it does, It gives a rich deep resonating bass note and crystal clear sharp sound in the higher range. The clarity impressed Me and I am comparing these in ear phones to a very nice set of Bose over ear headphones I have. The headphones also feature a simple to use phone mic button, which I tried out and it worked nicely.Overall these are very nice set of in ear phones and when you consider the prices other brands charge for a similar product they are a real bargain. So why only 4 stars I hear you ask? I do have some reservations. Firstly they are a great set of in ear phones but they bring nothing new to the table in terms of fit. So if you find in ear awkward or uncomfortable to wear then these won't change your mind. The second and for Me most important issue is that Me and Marley in ear headphones have a history. I found, having owned a couple of sets in the past that the point where the braided cable goes into the headphones wooden housing had the unfortunate habit of coming loose after a time. It got to the point with 1 set where the shop just gave Me a refund as I had been back so many times over a 12 month period. Now that was a few years back and I have noticed the "weak" spot seems to have a new fitting which seems much stronger. I guess only time will tell. So 4 stars and smile Jamaica.

Love the cord. The material minimises the torturous hours spent untangling the wirey demons that provide us with sweet music. Anything that saves time deserves a 5 star review in my books.I don’t find the rubber buds particularly comfortable. The original ones were too large and a bit too hard. I proceeded to try the small ones provided in the case. These were too small and I felt they were invading my ear canals which made me feel slightly unnerved. I was forced to replace the buds with others that I owned which allowed for comfort but reduced the aesthetics as the colour combination I have now created is certainly anything but ‘vogue’.The button on the cord is useful. I like this.It skips songs too which is very useful as sometimes you’re more in the mood for Barbara Streisand as apposed to Lamb of God. We’ve all been there. The button also allows for some unforeseen circumstances. For example, if you lean on the button during a song that you happen to be singing along to, the song stops but naturally you don’t as you were so close to hitting than top note (God bless you Mariah). When you then realise that you’ve moved on and the song has been left behind, it gives you the opportunity to try again for that high note. A real gem in the mundane reality that is life. Who doesn’t enjoy a second chance? I hear you.So overall, I like these headphones. I like the opportunities they bring. I’m hopeful that my colour combinations will catch on and I will be the next Luis Vuitton - wish me luck on my voyage to fashion fame.

I was looking for ear buds that performed well (treble, bass and mid tones) and were also fairly robust. I didn't want anything bling, so needed an understated design. These looked good on-line, and the buying process was straightforward and felt trustworthy. The product was delivered on time and as promised. Big tick. But the real praise should go to the design team. Their choice of materials, the technical competence for tiny speakers, has produced a hugely satisfying bit of kit. The longevity of the wiring is still to be tested (I often kill ear phones falling asleep with them on and damaging the point at which the wire enters the bud. These are stylishly wrapped in a cord and it feels that they are durable. We'll worth a little outlay, and on top of everything the materials are eco friendly.. Kudos. You should feel reassured that these are quality and very pleasing to wear.. what's the word for something that just feels good in the hand?...

These headphones are survivors. I bought them two years ago so I thought it was about time I left a review.I initially bought these for my eldest daughter. During their time with her she dropped them in some soup. I thought it was impressive they carried on working after that. She eventually passed them on to my partner because she prefers oval shaped ear buds.Since my partner has owned them, they've been through two full cycles in the washing machine and they're still going strong. Incidentally, these are his second pair of this type of headphones. He lost his first pair walking home from the pub through a muddy field. If someone unearths those in the future I'm pretty sure they'll still be working too.The sound quality is decent for the price and they look good too. All in all they are a great quality product but I particularly recommend them for people who are tough on headphones.

My favorite brand since my first pair +/- 5 years ago. Also I take them everywhere with me (I travel a lot).Braided cable: doesn't get tangled, easy to clean, extra protective not to mention ideal length in every situationWooden earplugs: long lasting, protective of the inside and looks greatIn-ear gummies: come in 3 different sizes, comfortable and stay put (they won't fall out by themselves)Sounds great, deep in the ear and zones you out completely from anything happening around you. This is my 4th pair (could be 5th but I'm starting to lose count), have only had to replace them after 1~1.5 years if I feel like the inside of the cable starts to become disconnected but other than that they're almost indestructible and long-lasting.Personally these are EXACTLY what I look for in my earphones and they couldn't be better (I find that the price is more than worth the quality).

Another decent little set of inexpensive earbuds from Marley, now with some remote controls. On Android, the single button only starts or pauses music (including, surprisingly, YouTube videos in the YouTube Android app), or answers or hangs-up on phone calls - on iPhones, you can also skip tracks with multiple presses, according to the manual.Sound quality is good and quite "well-rounded" - for about twenty quid they certainly don't sound tinny. They're not that great at deadening external sound, however, which is bad for long train/bus trips or flights, but not terrible if you're just walking around. You also get a spare, smaller, pair of gel earbuds to adjust the fit to your ear if the fitted ones are uncomfortable. As advertised, the cloth-wrapped cables resist getting tangled pretty effectively too.In short, I like these, they're not expensive, and they work well.

Love the sound quality, it's as good as the majority of other earbuds I've bought. Love the fact they're eco-friendly: the flex is fabric/thread, the earbud is wooden (apart from the bit which goes into the ear which I think may be plastic but I re-use these over and over). The packaging itself is a little disappointing - it's mostly paper but there are a couple of plastic components, which could be changed for say compostable cardboard packaging or something similar. My only issue is that the button for changing tracks, answering calls etc, didn't work. I'm sure it's a one-off and I don't see it as a good enough reason (given that I don't use earbuds for calls)to incur more materials/packaging and shipping costs etc for either me or Amazon/House of Marley.

Either i'm having memory bias or the sound quality is not as good as they used to be. I've owned a pair these when the company was fairly new a few years back, so i decided to rebuy them.Dont get me wrong these have good high end clarity but the bass isnt that great. Im not a fan of Beats style bass either but the bass in these are really lacking, i think my £5 in ear Sony earphones had the same amount of bass as these.I did used to listen to a lot of rock style music back then and now im more into modern rap, its fair to assume that these headphones are just better for listening to rock than rap because of their sound profile. So i can reccomend these for anything with guitars/keys and all where the drum and bass arent such a huge factor.

I bought a pair of these headphones in 2014. I have used them for around 3-4 hours minimum each day at least 6 days a week every week since I bought them. They have just broken and that's only really because I dropped them in front of my house and my dad managed to reverse over the head. They're not completely tangle free but they are so easy to untangle I got apple earphones for the first time in 5 years and now I understand why they invented Airpods because they couldn't steal Marley's cord idea. I'm pretty clumsy and reckless and the past week without them has made me feel genuinely lost. Love them, Love them. Love them. Just ordered a new pair.

I've had a set of these earbuds for many years and they are brilliant. Sadly after such a long time and great service, one of the channels has become distorted. So naturally returned to this brand. They are attractive with the nice wooden finish and the cord is partly tangle free. The sound is superb. I listen mainly to spoken podcasts, but on the occasions that I listen to music the notes are crystal clear. Only downside is that when walking or running the cord can rub against clothing and be amplified in the ears. I'm hopeful of many years of happy listening for these units. They are highly recommended.

So i got these in march (their my 6th pair of house of marley earphones, i get new ones every 4-5 months or so, anyway so i was going on holiday and usually would have bought a new pair but i didint, long story short these earphones were left in the pocket of my swimming trunks and i went swimming for at least 30 minutes without realising, but guess what.....guess what they still work perfectly as i am listening to music right now as i'm. writing this review......Also if your looking for a good aux cord adapter for you iphone get the anker one as it was also fully submerged in water and still works :)

I've only just received these and so can only comment on sound and initial impression, not longevity. I have always used Sennheiser CX300ii phones. They last quite a long time and when they fail I replace with the same. This time, I thought I'd try something different.I really like the Sennheiers, but these are definitely better with much more depth to the sound and much clearer mid and treble. I'm hearing things I've not heard before. The base is good, slightly understated or maybe that is just because there is such a lot of base with the SennheisersIt remains to be seen how well they last.

6.7.2020

I bought them 3 years ago and had them almost in daily use. They are allways in my pocket every day with me.. I just love them! The last year I even used them to listen to music to fall asleep. In the morning the cables often were twisted or kinked but they were still working so I would tell them really really robust. Now after 3 years the cable has a loose contact at the plug but actualy not that bad. I'm going to buy a new pair now to have a spare one if my old one break fully down! Result: incredible quality and high qualitiy sound still after 3 years of almost daily use! Wow!

I needed a pair of headphones for work so that I could listen to music while working away.Amazing pair of headphones. I read the reviews myself to find out how good they were for their money and they were not wrong. The sound quality for a pair of headphones that werent breaking the bank, are amazing.I can keep blaring my music while nobody around me are distracted by it.They feel comfy as hell, nice soft ear inserts that arent going to scratch the insides of your ears.100% worth it if you need a pair of in ear headphones, you should 100% be getting these
