These are the first House of Marley headphones I've heard, and I'm pretty impressed with the quality for the price.Decked out in red, green and gold they certainly look the part. They're quite lightweight though they don't fold up, neither do the earpieces twist to sit flat, so not quite as portable as some. I must admit I didn't think they were going to be very comfortable as there's no cushioning as such in the headband but the inner green lining does have some 'give' in it. As I write this, I've been wearing them for a couple of hours and no sign of discomfort either across my - shaved - head or on my ears. They clamp quite securely on the ears, but not painfully so, even on my reasonably large head.Having said that, I'm wearing them at full extension of the earpieces. If I had hair, dare I say dreadlocks, then they might not have fit so well. The cord is not excessively long, but long enough to reach your jeans pocket, if that's where your phone/iPod/whatever is located. There is a remote on the cable, which will work with Apple devices only. For listening tests, I started with Bob Marley naturally and 'Three Little Birds'. The sound is detailed, with excellent stereo separation and good levels of bass. More importantly, the sound is well balanced with no part of the bass, midrange or treble being over emphasised. I listened to this week's Discovery playlist from Spotify, which contained a range of different types of music, and none were a bad match for the phones. I would say the sound has a slight edge to it, that suits rock, acoustic and reggae music quite well.Listening was done using an iPhone, a Kindle HDX and Macbook with Dragonfly DAC, using Apple Music and Spotify streams or FLAC CD rips. Like I said earlier, I've ben listening for the last few hours without getting tired and actually enjoying throwing different types of music at the Roars to try and trip them up. That I wasn't able to, says a lot about their quality. I like them a lot.

I needed a pair of headphones for work - nothing too flashy, but better than the terrible ones I have at work for morning Google Hangout calls which I'd then wear the rest of the day to listen to music whilst I worked. Saw these for a tenner and asked for them for Christmas. Tested them out yesterday and WOY, they are amazing! I can't believe how good they are for less than ten quid! I see they've gone up a bit since, but I'd still say they are totally worth anything up to £40 as they totally out-do my Sennheiser 202s that are around the same price mark. The sound is even, and not muffled in any of the frequencies, and I listen to all sorts of musical styles from reggae (bass is great!)punk rock (heavy guitars don't get mashed up in the mid ranges) and hip hop. The trebel is perfect. I can't recommend these enough, and when these are worn out, I'll definitely look to get another pair. The packaging is nice too, and environmentally friendly, which is a bonus!

Nice packaging on these..I have another pair of Marley headphones biiger size and they came in a similar "earthy" style packageWhen I got them out ..I as a little taken aback that they were al so "plasticky"...which usually means... not great quality. But they are nice and sturdy...and incredibly bright...great if you have a bag full of stuff and you are looking for them quickly...you can't miss them! The pads are very soft on the ears...I did wonder as they looked plasticky...as do the other parts. But they are very comfortable when you have them on there is no sound leakage ..in or out!The cable is more than adequate length and is the new style flat style which seems not to tangle up somuch. The sound is excellent...I was impressed with the quality..and gave it a bit of a work out with some dub sounds.Good Headphones....perhaps don't be put off by first impressions

These are very nice on ear headphones. the ear pieces are green and red, headband back and the one non tangle cord is yellow. They are bright enough to suit teenagers but yet not so bright that they would not suit the more mature. The earpiece is soft and cushioned and the headband has very good adjustment. Because there is only on cable movement is quite free, The one control button is easy to reach on the cable and as the cable is yellow and the switch green it is easy to see. This one button seems to control everything and I have not worked it all out yet. Instruction leaflet is poor and following the advice on this I tried to find instructions on line but did not manage that so 1 star off.Sound quality is really good as is sound isolation. The headband has very good adjustment and this coupled with the padded earpieces makes this set comfortable to wear. I like them

These are excellent for an inexpensive pair of headphones! The sound is much better than any pair of cheap headphones I've had before. Normally I need to put the volume up to 7-8 on a bus but these Roars have such impressive sound I only turn them up to 4/5. The sound quality is good too - clear & not bass heavy. I listen to a lot of dance music. They are fine comfort wise - 4 buses a day for the last 3 days & no discomfort. I'm sure that a €60 or €100 pair of headphones is more comfy but for a very good value good sounding headphones they are fine. Would I buy another pair - absolutely!

Hmmm. Taste is the big thing here. The headphones are adjustable, they were comfortable and provide a great quality of sound. They are also obviously very colourful, which is OK by me.The lost star is because everyone else can hear your music as they don't retain or lock in the sound. The packaging is odd too.EDITS UP TO 5 STARS August 2017, basically these broke after about 18months i got the lead caught in something...I've been using another pair of something different and they are not nearly as comfortable so I'm now going to buy these as a replacement.

These headphones are amazing quality. They come in a lovely presented package and look great. The headphones are very comfortable and the sound quality is excellent. I'm very impressed with how loud the sound reaches and noise isolation.I'm tempted to buy another pair even though I don't need them! These are better than some leading brands I've tried. Very very impressed

These are super comfy & sit really nicely over your ears, I fell in love with the retro style & colour mainly but was happy with the quality of sound they produce. They do blead out a bit of sound if you have the volume up high, but overall a good pair of headphones, it makes the music sound better for your ears!

What a fantastic sound. All my tunes sound better, i am hearing things in the music I had not noticed before and they look great whilst having great environmental qualities.A really fine product and excellent value too. I feel like I have a BRAND NEW SET OF EARS, AND DID I SAY THEY LOOK GREAT TOO!

Good headphones, nice sound, well made, in line switch works well. The sizing is however on the small size, is perhaps more suitable to teens or women. I have to have them on the biggest setting (my head is not particularly large). All said however at £8 they are a steal!

i cant believe the quality for the price i needed some headphones to keep me going till i can buy a more expensive pair on pay day wont be doing that now for under £8 the qaulty and design is great and they feal comfy when you wear them.

I paid £6.99 for these, which is bonkers. They don't sound as good as my Bose, but that's to be expected. They sound like something I'd expect to pay £40-£50 for. If you can get them for a bargain, they are well worth the punt

These headphones are excellent; they are light weight, comfortable (even over glasses) and have a great sound. You can hear all the top notes, as well as a lovely warm bass, I just love these headphones.

Bought these for my son who's 13 and he thinks they're great.I like them because I now don't have to listen to everything he's watching/listening to no more.Definitely make a great gift for someone.

I'm amazed with the quality of the sound hear. I use it specially for Synthwave music (electronic) and simply love it. Best experience than with my bose and for much much less money. Awesome work.
