These are probably the best pair of in-ear earphones that I own.I admit that I had fairly low expectations when I offered to try these and write a review for Amazon. I had made the assumption that there would be a strong relationship between the price of a product and its sound quality. However, I was definitely wrong.I have owned maybe 8 or 10 pairs of earphones since I started listening to music on my early iPod and now various phones and tablets. I am surprised but pleased to report that these Little Bird earphones produce the best overall quality sound of of them.I was given a pair of earphones from a high-end brand that cost around £100. Yet in my personal opinion,I feel that the sound from these Little Bird earphones are simply the best that I have experienced.SOUND QUALITYI tend to listen to music at medium-high levels as opposed to at deafeningly high levels. Even at medium-high volume, I found the sound quality to be excellent. Classical music (e.g. Rachmaninov's famous piano concertos) sounded rich and immersive. Listening to pop, dance and rock music (ranging from Beyonce's 'Single Ladies' to Kings of Leon's 'Sex on Fire'), I found the bass to be thumping and powerful yet without distortion. Even when I turned the volume up to the maximum level of my various devices, the bass remained true and strong. At quieter to medium-high levels of volume, I also found the mid notes and treble to be well reproduced. It was only at maximum volume that there was a slight inequality between the mid notes and treble. In particular, voices seemed too loud and the highest notes seemed to get dominated by the pounding bass. However, for me personally, that's a GOOD thing to have bass that is strong and thumping. I have experienced far too many pairs where the mid-range has been decent but the bass has been severely lacking. So if you like bass, I can strongly recommend these House of Marley Little Bird earphones.REMOTE CONTROLAs an added benefit, the single button for controlling the phone seems to work on Apple/iOS as well as Android devices. Click once to pause or play a track. Click twice to fast forward; click three times in quick succession to return to the previous track.

I'm not an audiophile but I listen to a lot of music, mostly through headphones. These earbuds appealed (I'll admit) mostly because of the Marley connection and the sustainable materials and packaging [Caveat: these earbuds are, like most electronics, made in China, so in terms of sustainability, the big picture is somewhat different].Looks-wise, the speckled appearance of the buds isn't particularly attractive, but the buds are actually very comfortable to wear. A spare set of smaller buds is included in the package. The cord is a bit thick and inexpensive- looking, but let's hope that's a sign of sturdiness. As other reviewers have said, the sound is pretty good for the price: the bass is not overpowering but noticeable, and the overall impression is of a good balance between richness and clarity. I tested them with different types of music, from rock to bluegrass and classical, and finally with a Bob Marley song because, well, I had to (Three Little Birds, of course). While playing the latter, the sound was a little too tinny - stripping the 5th star from the review. However, these are pretty good buds for the price. If you need to carry spares with you on a trip or if, like me, you go through headphones like candy, this Little Bird is a good deal.

Whilst, as expected, they will not compete with more expensive models, these headphones are decent at the price with no obvious flaws. Facing stiff competition from their rivals, however, I could only wholeheartedly recommend them on the basis of their eco-friendly credentials. They fit into the ear comfortably (for me), sound good with a reasonable bass, and while it is too soon to give a firm verdict on durability, there is no obvious fragility in the design. On all these points, they do a respectable job, but in my view are not quite up to the level of the Panasonic RP-HJE125E, which are also much cheaper.Cheap headphones are perhaps the epitome of wastefully 'disposable' consumer goods, and for some people, the fact that these are made from recycled material and come in recyclable packaging will be a big plus point. If so, I can recommend them.Others will have little patience for remarks about the 'mindfully manufactured plastic housing'. (I think they mean that they use recycled plastic, but don't want it to sound tacky. Don't worry, though, they are not tacky, or at least no more than any other budget headphones). And for those for whom the greatest concern is sound quality, although these are good, the Panasonics are better.

These are in the 'cheaper' range of earphones so I didn't expect superb sounds. However, although there's a certain lacking in the bass department, overall the sound is better than expected. The set comes with two sizes of ear 'cups' to allow for the individual to chose their own comfort level. The 'phones are lightweight and come with an in-line switch for pause/forward/backward but no volume. The mid range is excellent, the upper tones are good but tend to to get slightly lost in the higher volume levels, the bass is good but the sound is always as if the bass is played with the thumb rather than being 'picked' with a plectrum which, in certain songs, gives the effect of it being a little muffled. Please do not let the above comments put you off - unless you are likely to play the music at full volume, you will not notice the remarks made above. For the price, these are terrific and, although a little on the flimsy side (thin wires, thinnish plastic), these are made from recycled materials and yet, the sound they produce is far above the quality level the price suggests. If you want a good sound, don't want to pay too much and 'do-your-bit' by using a recycled product, these are for youRecommended

I don't like the Apple earphones which come as standard, well they did with both myself and my husband's iPod Touches, so I replaced both with the excellent Betron brand. So - this is now the second pair of Bob Marley branded earphones I've owned and I find the wooden ear speakers quite a natty touch. The sound is clear and sweet in regard to testing them by playing Vivaldi's 'The Four Seasons' for the classical frequencies; Beyoncé's 'Single Ladies' to determine the bass boost capacity, which is excellent if you're a fan of such low fangled noise. The Stone's 'Miss You' sounded great, as did spoken audio via the fabulous 'Answer Me This!' Podcast. The build quality is satisfactory for the price point, although I'd argue that the Betron's is superior. I'm not a fan of the thin cord though as it reminds me of the cheap headphones which used to be supplied with own brand portable cassette players. Also, my previous pair of Marleys included a little faux suede carrying case, but there's nothing in this package and only one miserly spare set of rubber ear buds.

These are an unexpected delight. As a family we go through buds like nobody's business and I have a bunch lying about my desk even now. Sennheiser CX400, Soundmagic E10, some cheap Lidl & Sainsbury ones too. The supermarket ones are dire, don't bother with those. The CX400 suffer from boomy bass & a noisy cable - also don't bother. I have enhanced the Soundmagic E10s with Comply foam tips and they were my favourite buds. Possibly up to now.I've had a 30 minute session with these Little Birds. The look isn't great, they look paint-splattered. They feel a bit cheap too. But they sound absolutely great. For a cheap pair of buds to get sound this controlled is a marvel. Really good bass response,no boom, loads of volume and clear high end. Some buds come with a whole variety of bud-tip types/sizes. These don't. The standard ones and some which look a bit smaller. However, you cannot ask for more for this price. Highly recommended.

It's hard to be critical of IEMs at this price, especially when their sound is pretty good but two things count against them:- Only two sizes of silicon buds are provided, missing what would appear to be the middle sized pair- There is no protective case to protect themOn the good side, the headphone jack is gold plated for better connectivity and is on a right-angled connector, much better than a straight connector to prevent damage when in your pocket. The sound is clear and detailed although the bass and treble are typically boosted. Like any in-ear headphone, sound quality depends to a large extent on getting a good tight fit in the ear.Without this bass will be adversely impacted so it was disappointing that only two sets of silicon buds are provided, one large set (pre-fitted) and one small. Every other set of IEMs I've got have come with a medium sized pair as well.

Not the best fitting ear buds I've ever used but the sound is good and clear with an impressive deep bass. They do an OK job of isolating background noise too. Made from recyclable plastic which will appeal to the environmentally responsible shoppers amongst us, so you can feel quite smug that you're doing your bit for the planet! The cable is quite flat which should help reduce the risk of tangles, but they are quite thin, so I suspect these won't last very long (in my hands at least!)The speckled finish is certainly different - you'll either love it or hate it. All in all, for the price these are a decent pair of inexpensive ear buds, although they don't really offer anything above and beyond other headphones already out there at this price point.

Brilliant set of headphones. My current pair of (much more expensive) earphones do not really offer anything more substantial in terms of quality of sound reproduction than these Little Bird earphones - which do very much the same job at a fraction of the price. Impressive sound delivery over the range of tones. Maybe they won't last quite as long as my much more expensive pair, but then at a fraction of the price, replacing them is really no big deal. I had expected these to be very cheap and cheerful for the cost, but they are not. Very pleased with this product and have no hesitation in recommending them.

I ordered these as an extra pair of earphones to keep my my work bag - in case I left my over-ear ones at home and someone insists on making me listen to the tinny music leaking our of their nasty apple earbuds (which still happens too often - how my heart sinks when I see a white pair of earphones on a train). These work well - they come with two sizes of rubber earbuds, have a pretty decent range of sound, block out nasty tinny sounds from other people's awful earphones and don't seem to leak sound themselves.

These are fundamentally good headphones in the sense that they perform their primary purpose very well: they make a very good sound; considerably better than you might expect for the price point.Less importantly my teenage son and I are slightly perplexed by the branding - simply Marley stamped on the jack and a speckled effort on the headphones themselves. They don’t look particularly good or distinctive. However, as noted above, the sound is good.

I got these for my teenage son who is plugged in most of the time, and he tells me the sound quality is surprisingly good for the price. They are pretty robust - we have just come back from a fortnight in Scandinavia where they were in constant use, and they are still going strong. My son is impressed enough to want another pair. So highly recommended.

The ear phones come in recyclable packaging. They have an unusual white speckled appearance and come with two sizes of plastic ear fittings large and small. These were reasonably easy to change. The sound it good and clear. There a small volume/fast forward switch on the cable but this is claimed only to work with apple devices.

These earphones have such a crisp and Basy sound, unlike crappy apple earbuds no one can hear what I'm listening to Taylor swift on the bus this is good as I'm perceived as a manly man, but I love listening to some T swift. The earphones have a discreet black design so it fits with manliness

This was my 3rd pair of these headphones (as for the price, they can't be beaten) and my labrador puppy sneakily opened the zip to my bag, flung the sandwich to the side and destroyed these headphones on day 1 of using them. Incredible scenes!
