This was easy to install but we installed it the other way around. We wanted to keep our cats in and let the dog go out. Time will tell if our kittens work out how to escape but so far so good. Luckily the back door has a sheltered porch. It recognised the micro chip in our small dog no problem and she quickly took to using it. Possibly because she had had a regular dog flap door before. Her short legs do find the wide lip a little of a challenge though. She's a Maltese Shih Tzu X and 5kg, any bigger and I don't think she would have fitted this door. It's a wonder this company hasn't embraced the need for a door that let's dogs out and keeps cats in with the micro chip reader on the inside.

I bought this cat flap as a replacement due to other cats entering my home and bullying my big softie cat ... I needed 3 tunnel extensions as I fitted it through a cavity wall... the instructions were very clear and easy to understand, I paired the flap to my cats microchip prior to installation which worked first time, installation was easy aided by pictures in the instructions... my cat was unsure of the new flap initially, but the custom modes are very good in helping get him used to it and now he is in and out as much as he pleases ... he also seems happier now as no other cats have been able to get in... the flap takes 4 x C type batteries,

I bought this for my sister who has a Jack Russel dog. he has no problems etting in and out of the house now on his own. Setting up is easy, Don't be daunted by the instruction book. Set it to learn and offer the cat/dog to the door and it will read it's chip. There is a collar tag supplied if your pet is not chipped, at least using the pets microchip it will never lose it.I have one of these at my home and its been in for 3 years now and no problems at all, still on the initial batteries,Well worth the money

We bought this item mainly to prevent unwanted cats coming into the house & spraying everywhere.We currently have 3 cats who are all microchipped & they were already used to using a smaller cat flap, so it didn't take them long to get used to this one.Hey, presto, no more intruders, whilst our own cats are free to come & go as they please.Pricey, but worth it.Only criticism is that it can be a bit noisy in operation, whilst it locks/unlocks. Overall, thoroughly recommended.

More expensive than your average cat flap but soooooooooo worth it! My cats and me now have peace of mind and my cat food bill will be reduced as I am no longer going to be feeding the cheeky neighborhood cats who have been using my kitchen as their restaurant. Easy to use and my cats had no problem getting in whereas the others despite their best efforts have thankfully failed. Love this purchase and thanks from Charlie and Tommy as well as me.Sandie

Easy to set up and install. The instructions are clear and easy to follow.If you have a timid animal I would recommend setting the free access mode where the lock does not activate (I know it defeats the object but our cat got so scared of the clicking, she would not go near it and it has taken two weeks for her to run through it if the flap is held open).Even with this set back we would recommend it.

This has stopped other cats coming in and my two picked it up pretty quick, i got the larger one which is very easy for them to get in and out of with the back door being up a step, a little tricky working out the settings but if you keep instructions nearby it really helps with this all singing and all dancing catflap

I have a very large cat and this product is very easy for him to get in and out. He has struggled with smaller ones and, being not well, this was causing some stress and discomfort. He is now a very happy cat and I can go to bed when I want to instead of having to wait up for him.

Very well made and easy to fit in my plastic door,works well with lots of settings available,my only negative remark is very expensive if bought retail and the door relaease click is quite loud bit off putting for my cat but getting used to it know.

it was very easy to set the mode i required. also it wasnt very difficult to put the catflap in. tommy didnt take very long to get used to the catflap and the clicking noise has not bothered him.

Good quality cat flap that is easy to install and programme. Has a huge variety of programmes suitable for virtually any proposed use. Comes with manufacturers 3 year warranty.

It works great, I would recommend watching the video on the Sureflap website, not necessary but very helpful. training my two rather old cats was fairly easy as well.

The cats are happy, especially our slightly overweight cat, the bigger cat flap size means it's no longer a squeeze :-).

Easy to fit, look good and our Border Terrier got the hang of it immediately.
