This is my cat's second Red Dingo collar. She finally lost her first one, which was vibrant orange and looked beautiful on her neck.I love these collars. They're extremely durable, but admittedly a little stiff and hard to customize in the beginning. I highly recommend sizing the collar so that you can easily slide your first two fingers under it while your cat is wearing it. You don't want low to where your cat can lick on her neck, though. She might accidentally get her jaw stuck. It's a bit of trial and error, but be patient, and have treats and pets ready to help your cat adjust. Then be watchful over the next few days to make sure it's the right fit. After trying out many cat collars prior to Red Dingo,I've figured out what makes a good one. This one never frayed, dulled, or broke apart. It remained highly reflective, which gave me peace of mind when she went out. The bell stayed in place for the lifespan of the collar, and I have grown accustomed to using it to find Asha in the garden. It's a pleasant little sound, and I'm sure it's a welcome warning to other creatures. The clasp never wore down, and it retained its breakaway function even after the many times I removed and replaced it.I love how many colors Red Dingo provides as options, and I recommend this collar to anyone who owns a cat. It might seem more expensive, but you're saving in the long run. I use to buy a collar every few months. I haven't had to think about a cat collar since July 2014. And hopefully not for another few years, at which point I'm thinking of trying out the green one.

I feel that I should write a review as the other review doesn't actually tell you just how good this collar is.I got it as a Christmas present for my 4 year old kitty. He adored it the second he saw it. (Always a good thing because when he doesn't he'll try to take it off.) It's extremely durable, he's been wearing it for 2 months and there is absolutely no sign of wear to it (normally collars of this material start to get a bit raggedy.) It's reflectiveness is brilliant (no more being shut in the kitchen because his neck glows in the semi dark!)There's also no more getting up to Mischief because I cna hear him all the time (he has a bad habit of trying to open the front door,he's getting very good at it.)I had reservations about buying it because of the price but I think in the long run you're paying for quality and I'm going to be buying another one (in a different colour) for our recently acquired other cat. Also I would like to point out my cat is a house cat and only goes out in the summer (He has issues with winter weather) and that I will update this with info about an outdoor cat once I've got one for the other cat (or if he starts hos trips out for the summer.)Overall a really good collar and I reccommend it.

I always buy our Siamese cat family new collars at Yule and when I saw this one I immediately liked it. It matches the Siamese blue eyes perfectly and more importantly breaks free very easily. I would have liked it if the collar could have been made a bit more adjustable though as Azrael who I bought it for, is a slight, delicate looking little animal and even adjusting it down right to its smallest size, it still seems slightly big.The collar is also reflective which is great for outdoor cats but not particularly necessary for my cats as they do not go outside. I also bought a green one for our Oriental, Rafael and his fits perfectly (he has green eyes).I have 2 other Siamese one who wears a particularly well known brand of US motorbike collar to match our motorbike but although Pyewacket, Rafael and Azrael wear collars, little Jophiel has never liked wearing them. So, he goes around 'naked' so to speak! We also remove the bells on the collars as they are indoor cats, having found over the years that the bells rub a bald spot on their neck just below their chin area.Fairly expensive for what they are but safety is paramount particularly if your feline friend is an outside going cat.

I brought one in green and one in red. The reflective fish work well especially against my cats black furr. Easily adjustable. Saftey clip is a nice design with the fish clasp. Unfortunatly one of my cats has already tested this saftey clip and lost his collar so I will be ordering another one for him. My other cat still has hers so I'm happy it just didnt fall off. The bell is removable if you wish.I was happy with the overall quality of the product, they dont fray when the cats scratch at them as mine do from time to time. They are light weight so they dont put too much pressure on the cats neck. They are abit stiff to begin with so you may want to bend it about abit before putting it on your cat just to make it abit more comfortable.I would buy this collar again (in fact I am as soon as I decide on the colour) and I would recommend to my freinds who have cats.Enjoy.October Update: I brought a new one for my boy cat, and he has lost it again, my female still has her original one and it has not frayed and still reflective. I guess my boy just doesnt like collars as he has lost another 2 collars or a differnt make also.

As others have stated I have a cat that once he Sussex out how to get his collar off would not keep it on more than a couple of minutes so having read the reviews I thought I'll get this one, eh I got it in my hand though I tried to open it the way he did grip the collar in your teeth then flick the collar on the other side of the clip and even still on the card, it popped open, so I thought this I going to be as bad as the one we have, however my husband was more optimistic saying I've got to take him to the vets tonight anyway for a jab so I'll ask them to put it on and well transfer his tag also, they came back from the vets all happy and Teddy with new collar and tag on still because it is adjustable they put it tight enough to still be comfortable but so that he couldn't get it into his jaw to execute his little trick, he has been wearing it for four days now and tag is still on the collar and the collar is round his neck and he is not even bothering to try and get it off now phew! He is chipped but tag is easier for people to find me and his home, he's not allowed out for another two weeksJo

I bought two of these collars- one in green and one in red for my two kittens who are fairly new to going outside. I not only wanted a reflective one, but one that could of course safety release easily should they get into mischief and get stuck somewhere. The green collar, I'm happy to report is still around one of my kitten's neck- he can't detach it (though he's tried) and he seems to like the noise from the little bell. He's a bit frustrated that the birds can hear him coming, though!I am pleased to report that the safety catch does release easily though- my other cat got himself caught somewhere- he clearly wriggled free and the collar released itself since he came home naked! The only downside is that I don't know where that collar is- probably up a tree somewhere!Great, attractive looking collars that do the job. If you have kittens/cats that get stuck a lot and lose collars fairly easily though, then you might be a bit unhappy about the price of these- they're just a little bit on the pricey side. I've since seen cheaper alternatives in high street pet shops that work just as well.

Very cute collar, it looks great on my orange tabby. The fish are very reflective which is great and the collar has not come off on its own yet. The strip with the fish is made of some sort of rubberized material which may be why the collar is stiff particularly when it comes off the card. I worked it though my hands and it softened up before putting it on the cat. Since the cat had been wearing it for a couple of weeks, it is no longer stiff. The reason this collar gets 4 stars instead of 5 is that the part which is doubled over (between the clasp and stay used for sizing the collar) has nothing to keep the doubled part from opening and forming a loop; which is a safety issue, especially if you have a small cat. This has not been a problem with any other collar my cat has used, but since this collar is longer than any of the others, the loop is much bigger. Since he is a large, full grown, indoor only cat, the loop isn't much of an issue, but it is important to be aware of when purchasing.

I bought two of these in different colours but would like to emphasise just how important these breakaway collars are. Even our indoor Pedigree Siamese x 3, and Oriental x 1 sometimes manage to get a claw caught in their collars when scratching themselves and these collars break away instantly. I have heard some terrible stories about poor cats and collars that don't release. The collar is also reflective not that it matters to our cats as they live a life of luxury in a nice big house in the warm. Quite how long it will take before the collars fray, I have no idea but they do seem fairly robust. In case anybody was wondering why the other two of my cats haven't been bought pressies, well, one of them wears a Harley Davidson collar as we have a Harley and the other little boy doesn't like wearing collars. He has been bought two new food bowls instead :-)

This collar is brilliant. It adjusts and fits our cat brilliantly. The push fit connection is great as it just snaps on or off the cat's neck.I've tried buckle ones before and elasticated but the push fit type is by far the best. This particular collar is great looking too. The fish shaped clasp is lovely and makes it seem less clinical. The reflective fish decoration are also very nice, working well under light at night. The collar has stood up to good use too. I've had it around 3 months now and it still looks brand new. Other collars we have had in the past have deteriorated as the cat scratches herself, leading to fraying and tattiness. This one however has stayed perfect, and even the printed fish still look the same.Overall this is an excellent cat collar, and I will definitely buy another when the current one eventually perishes!

I am about to order this in blue. I have the orange, yellow and red one already. My cat already lost the oranage one plus tag within a week. They are very good quality and the buckle works well. Yes you have to pull them apart to undo them - I could not work that out to begin with silly me. Anyway I think they are not ideal for kitten hence the weight is needed for it to snap apart and this wont happen with a kitten. I may be wrong but I think that ought to be pointed out with the product details for all of these type of collars. The slack where you loosen of tighten the collar is a bit of a shame as it does not lay flat with the collar so looks untidy all I did was sew the edges together to make it look neater (this does not effect the buckle).Good product and would recommend. Not suitable for kittens.

I have the red and yellow version of this. Only had cat for a month and she has already lost the orange version plus barrel. Bell is irritating so id barrel replaced that. So it does work as the cat is still living but no collar. I have 2 in reserve now with barrels. costing a fortune! Just ordered the orange version again to replace one lost. The mechanism seems to work so she is now on collar no. 2. The orange version is my favourite not sure she sees it like that! Good service and good quality product. Being fluorescent hope it helps her to be seen. Delivery was very slow on the first attempt (collar now lost) but it was easter but i have ordered another from same seller.Perhaps it was me and a week seemed a long time for a cat collar to come.

I got the black collar with white fish for my grey tabby bi-color cat and it looks very nice on him. The fish are reflective and show up very well in headlights and with a flashlight. The safety clasp is stiffer than most cat collars I've tried and I'm hoping that means he won't lose this one in a matter of days. He did get it off within the first five minutes but it was fairly loose. I've snugged it up since then (just loose enough for two fingers to slip underneath) and he hasn't undone it since.Another reviewer commented that it was stiff, and it is a little but it fits him fine and doesn't seem to bother him at all. My cat is full grown though.I could see this being too stiff for a tiny kitten but kittens don't stay tiny for long!

Thank goodness for Red Dingo! I have large male cats and found it very difficult to get collars that were large enough - until I discovered Red Dingo! So many sellers only have sparkly little collars which may be ok for small lap cats, but mine are big boys and spend a lot of time outdoors hunting etc and so need proper collars. These collars are a good long length and adjustable (20-30cms), good quality/thickness, with reflective design, integral bell, room for a name disc and have the all-important safety release. And they are still quite light, not too heavy for a cats neck. Although these are not the cheapest collars they are worth the money and I think I will probably always buy Red Dingoin future!

I bought this collar in "mid-blue" for my cat a few months ago and just ordered a second one in red for my other cat. It is a little stiff but it fits well and doesn't seem to bother my cat at all, unlike his last collar which he tried to run away from when I went to put it on him. The safety release clip also seems better-made and is more secure than the ones on the other collars I've tried, so it's not constantly falling off (but it does release when it should). As for appearance, the blue color is quite nice and the little fish are adorable. It's definitely much more attractive than the collars with big day-glo strips down the middle, and it reflects light just as effectively.

Lovely design, this is the second one I've brought as have an cat who likes to get herself into adventures! and then comes back with no collar!Price is nice, others may not pay it for their cats as have said to me that's a lot for a collar but my cats are worth every penny and you pay for a nice quality product so I don't care!As I said quality is puuurfect! and cats adore their collars, my other cat has it in Pink they love the little bell they wouldn't stop jumping around when first putting them on and trying to play with the bell.Would buy again cause I love the little reflective fish around the collar cause sometimes it reflects in daytime when it's nice and sunny!
