Really good fun. It's not a game you would play for hours (or maybe you would), but probably play a couple of rounds, and a few of the practice games. I was worried that it might be too easy, and may be aimed more at youngsters, and I would be asked to spell cat, dog and antidisestablishmentarianism, but when you create your profile you are asked to enter your age, so the level of difficulty you start at is set from that. I believe this game can definitely improve your spelling and recognition of nouns, verbs and adjectives: this is the tricky round for me, having never been taught, or indeed never needing to find out the difference between nouns, verbs, and adjectives.

I'm brand new to the DS and this is only the third game I've played. I'm well and truly hooked - I've often lost track of time as the games are so addictive! The graphics are reasonable, sound quality is very good and the games are fun and really challenging especially when you move up to the higher levels. Not only does it test your spelling but also grammar, understanding of word definitions and ability to complete words by filling in the gaps. If you're a budding wordsmith, buy it, you won't be disappointed.

Love this game!From someone who was a self confessed 'crappy speller' this game is so addictive!If you're a fan of word games and puzzles this game is for you. Suitably challenging without being too difficult. I think there are 10 or so mini puzzles and to go up a level you have to complete a challenge which involves 5 mini puzzles. There are also options for marathon sessions or practice sessions on one puzzle.Wonderful for both inquisitive children and childish adults

A very good game and I have seen a big improvement in my 7 year old daughters confidence. The only thing I would say is that you may want to watch for American spelling (though I haven't noticed any so far) as the word "cents" came up and I had to explain it to her. As I am Australian it didn't bother me but it did confuse her.I bought a used copy which is in good condition. I certainly wouldn't want to pay the going price for a new copy though!

Bought for child who panicks when having to spell under pressure. This is the answer; the music gives a feeling of the need for speed, while the kids get used to performing to time. Lots of different spelling games - odd one out, free spelling and more; some with written, some with aural clues. If you're looking for really educational and fun ds games, get this.

This is an excellent spelling game as it gives you the word and the definition on the word that is to be spelt. The Spelling Bee is an excellent way on getting to know your words it helps you a great deal wether you just want to use it just for fun or it is also great to help your children with their spelling for school.

Bought this for my 6 yr old, but can't put it down myself. Very addictive,for a 40 + anyway !! Helps with noun, verb, etc recognition, though sometimes it doesn't always tell you what you did wrong which would help. would reckomeeeend !!

Love this game, at first I thought hey this is easy but when you start to go up levels it really tests your spelling. I would recommend this to anyone who loves word games. I find myself playing on this game most days.

I bought this for my 6 year old and he absolutely loves it. Keeps him entertained and challenges him in Maths! Good buy and well worth every penny. Seller efficient, game arrived quickly.

Definitely loves this. It testes your hearing as well as your spelling. Recommend this to anyone who loves educational games with some fun to it.

this game is excellent. It teaches you how to spell and what words mean. it is fantastic for people of all ages!
