I bought this game a few days ago with my new DS. I was looking foward to it because of the cute animation and Sim interaction.Basic Plot:-Design yourself (hair type, colour, skin colour, clothes and name)Name the town and move in there; at first only the town is accesibleMeet the characters, Town Mayor, Rangers, Police man, Fisherman, Cake guy, Rich girl, Furniture girl, Flower girl, etc.Get given jobs to do and slowly expand the daily bar that means you get more stars for the town and it slowly improves (ie. more areas unlocked, transport sytems, shops opening etc.)Can make money using mini-games to buy items for yourself, other people or your homeCan find items on floor that twinkleMore tourists slowly come in and you can unlock more mini-gamesThe games:-Make your own leiPlayed in the flower shop, one of the first games you are given. Fast paced you have to quickly slide the cards over the correct flower in the quickest time with the least mistakes. Three levels, easy, medium and hard. Get paid for doing it. Get Bronze, Silver and Gold medals if you are skilled enough. Can give the leis to tourists. Fun to play but gets a little tedious. 4/5RacquetballPlayed in any of the three raquetball areas, three games possible to be unlocked; rally, target one and target two where you have to hit the ball using one of three possible raquets given to you by the Mayors grandson, Tim. Get paid for doing it. Extremelly hard, especially with other racquets. 3/5FishingFishing pole given to you by the fishing guy, can go to any place with water and fish using the touch screen. Can sell the fish to the fisherman, or at the general store or use them in a food mixture. Confusing at first but not entertaining so much and sometimes it does not work when you try and reel in the fish. 2/5Scuba DivingUnderwater you have little control over where you are going but have to take up to 9 pictures of sea life underwater and choose 3 to be judged. Get paid for doing it but the activity in the game itself is dull 2/5Casino gamesCard games, virtually impossible to beat and you cannot exchange the casinos "coins" back into your own money but you have to buy a gift from the machine. 2/5Scuba divingFlying from a plane and collecting as many gems as you can going as fast as you can doing as many arial tricks as you can. Not sure what the point of it is but quite amusing and you get paid for it. 4/5Treasure huntingUp in the mountains you use a scanner and dig for treasure. Very worth while and fun because you can get coins, time and jewels and its fun to try and get as much as you can within the time limit, but it is quite expensive and you cannot keep the jewels you find. 4/5ParaglidingFun and challanging, having to paraglide whilst picking up gems and avoiding birds and sudden gusts of wind can blow you off course. Get paid for doing it, however in the mountains it is expensive to do. 4/5You can also do some custom designs, buy extra houses, decorate your own home, communicate and do tasks for tourists and locals, make jewellry and more.Overall:-A fun game but does not take very long to complete at all as I have already finished it after a few days, however some mini-games are good to play. There is virtually no multi-player option and you can only swap designs.Use of touch screen- 4/5Multiplayer - 2/5Playing time - 2/5Fun - 4/5Educational - 1/5Repativeness - 3/5

Collected together, the Sim titles from the past two decades make for one of the most flexible brands in gaming's short history. From the somber starting point that was the original SimCity through to the tongue-in-cheek charm of insect farming release SimAnt, via theme park development and hospital management games, the series has constantly proved its ability to adapt.MySims, a colourful Nintendorisation of the urban cool of the Sims games. Gone are the well proportioned city-dwellers and their tragically hip lives, as they step aside to be replaced by wide-eyed, lollipop-headed 'pre-teen' adults loose in a saccharine world. The premise remains very much the same though.Rather than governing a community by controlling the infrastructure of a city as you would have in the days of SimCity, you dictate its success by influencing the interactions of the people. As you explore the town, various tasks such as decorating desolate flower beds or looking for hidden objects will fall into your lap, meaning you will have to chat using actual conversation with established residents like the major and policeman, and spend your cash purchasing needed objects.Despite a smattering of personality and charm, it is a real shame that a game that teeters so precariously on being irresistible is in fact a little empty and repetitive. The notion of saving a failing town filled with deserving characters is an alluring one indeed, and each time you snap your DS shut you do feel a pang of guilt, but every day spent with MySims just feels very similar. Talking to residents and being at their beck and call can grow tiresome, and the plodding pace and empty game world does little to help the game's cause. There is a nice model of progression in place that links your popularity with certain townsfolk to new options related to their employment, and the tool to design and rearrange the room you sleep and live in is in equal parts simple and involving. The interface as a whole works brilliantly, though it must be remembered that this is a game aimed at youngsters.MySims does look great, and has an overall level of craftsmanship that is only tarnished by a slight lack of originality. The musical score is also well produced, but will feel terribly familiar to Harvest Moon fans and players familiar with cute gaming worlds in general. If you are a huge Sims fan, this simple 'town in your pocket' might hold some worth for you, but if you are looking for something with a little more depth then it is probably best to opt for the more ambitious Wii version. A great game for children!

Ive not actually played this game as yet but im going to test it out for sure!. (i wrote this with a little help from my mum :)Im an 11yr old boy whos on mams account by the way trying to get all of you to try this new game for the nintendo Wii and DS.Here goes....Electronic Arts are bring you an all new take on the sims franchise.Players will design everything from the characters they play to the town they live in.By giving players the tools to design literally any kind of world they want!As players explore and build up the town, they will get to know dedicated, long-time residents like the always-busy Mayor Rosalyn P. Marshall and Buddy the mostly-lazy hotel Bellhop. Once things start to look up,theyll meet and choose from a variety of colorful, would-be residents. Will they build a restaurant for Gino Delicioso the Italian Chef, or will they help Ocean Breeze set up his Yoga studio instead?Design is everyone's domain in MySims. From building a new Pizza Oven for Gino to putting the finishing touches on a new roof for Buddy's busy hotel, each completed task will help the town grow. As it expands to new areas, players will receive special building blocks, decorations and patterns which help customize their unique creations. From furniture and buildings to the town as a whole, every choice informs how residents and visitors feel and behave. We want MySims to provide a creative play experience like never before on a video game system, said Executive Producer Tim LeTourneau. By giving players the tools to create literally any kind of world they want in MySims, we're reinforcing the idea that the players create the magic. Will the town support a plethora of spooky, mysterious townsfolk or buzz with the laughter and smiles of fun-loving Sims? Its your call! In MySims, what players make, makes all the difference!MySims will be available for the Wii and Nintendo DS platforms in Autumn 2007.

I got My Sims DS for my birthday last year. It's good and realistic, although the characters are more cartoon-looking than real people. There are plenty of activities like fishing, paragliding, playing raquetball at the park and lots more. You can buy cakes at the bakery, buy furniture to decorate your house, dance at night in the town hall, talk to tourists and give them gifts, ride the boat to the island, ride the trolley bus to a different area and just generally explore the lush green fields and tall, tall mountains of this virtual world. The Sims' Land started off as a crowded, beautiful place that held the record for most holidaymakers, but then the mayor started losing money and gradually the tourists left. Now it's a deserted town with no visitors, so fix the place up and make it thrive! At first the local residents seem a bit wary of you, but gradually they get to know you and they might even share their secrets with you! The only disadvantage of this game is how one day works, as it is not realtime, so early morning=about 6 mins, afternoon=about 4 mins, evening=about 5 mins and night=about 8 mins or as long as you sleep in the game. The later you go to bed, the later you wake up-this gets quite frustrating! Also you can choose from nap, light sleep, sleep and deep sleep and this affects when you wake up as well.I would recommend this game more than The Sims 2 DS(which I also have), although it is not 3d like The Sims 2 is it is more fun.

I bought this for my 3yo daughter who loves it. Its just basic enough for her to understand. As ive been showing her what to do with the tasks she's getting better at understanding things like this task must be done to move on. She enjoys choosing different hairstyles and clothes, there really isnt much content at the start but, she's three, so its perfectly amusing and not confusing with too much choice. There is a lot of talking, but thats ok too as she giggles at sim language, which is cute. She's happy, therefore this was a good buy, and cheaper than in the shops!Only four stars as i was hoping to have a play on it, but after playing the obviously more advanced games on the pc, its just pants. So i leave it to her now, which is good as she needs help with tasks, im happy to help, plus i get peace n quiet while she's relishing in the fact that she's accomplished something on her own.Would reccomend and will be buying more of the sims range for her ds

Think of My Sims as Sims for younger children. You have the ability to create your own sim (one sim per game unfortunately) which helps it's new town to become a popular tourist destination. You do this by helping out Helen the Mayor and the shopkeepers around the island. As you progress you unlock places such as the Casino, Club and Bakery. And if you do really well, you can even purchase your own mansion!I've not yet finished the game due to losing my DS for a considerable length of time, but now I have retrieved it I'm looking forward to continuing with the game.Beware of saving up too much money, I got 1 million and suddenly all my money disappeared and I had nothing. So try and spend your money!EA could improve the game by including Tips and Tricks, more interactive features, longer days and the ability to get married to a sim inside the game! But I would recommend it to anyone under the age of 13.

This game only as one word to describe it. Brilliant. This game is jam-packed with endless fun. Its got a wide selection of clothes, hair styles, colors. You can choose from skirts, dresses, bikinis, tops, belly tops and jeans. Its really good. You can also decorate your house with really nice furniture. I brought a mansion of this rich Sim called Elizabeth. I done that up too. Its a 3-bedroomed house. I made a kitchen, bedroom and living room. Theres also a bus or known to the game as a trolley service. Thats a really big help because the size of the town. Gosh! Its fun decorating places like the Highlands and Forest. The shopkeepers also update there shops every day or so. This game is 10/10.I recommend it to any Sims fan. This game is one of the greatest games invented. Thanks EA and Nintendo. I really love it. I`m gonna go play it now in fact :)

MySims is a really good game. It was actually one of the reasons I got a Wii. I've never played the ds version, but even if it is really good, you should get the wii version aswell, or instead even. It's ace! I saved up for this game and I wasn't disappointed when I finally got it. It was better than I expected! Building the houses and collecting essences is fun, although doing endless tasks for the citizens of your town does get a bit boring. I sometimes get fed up after building a few chairs, because it hurts my arm after a whule. All in all its a good game and you should definitely get it! The concept of having a rundown town you have to make nice again is good for younger people like me.If you dont like Animal Crossing you shouldn't get it though, because you wont like how similiar they are...

MySims is a really good sim game where you create your own little sim and move into a town where you help out and in the end make it a tourist filled place full of shops. You get loads of clothes to buy and choose from, do mini-games to earn the money and have your house to buy furniture for.Very fun to play, even for people who don't particularly like The Sims as there are a lot of mini games to play like making flower necklace things for the florist in town, paragliding, sky diving, dowsing, racquetball and much more! You meet lots of different people in the game along the way to making the town a better, funner place. I would totally recommend it!Disadvantages: When the game ends there is nothing to do really, like you have no goals left so all you can really do is walk around town all day.

I got a 'Nintendo DS Lite' for christmas and with it I got 'My Sims' free.I thought it would be just like 'The Sims' however it isnt. Of course there are similarities but the world of 'My Sims' is a whole lot different. You start off in a town and do all the starting stuff and at first I do admit I got a little bored, it was still fun though. Now I am half way through and I am really enjoying it (why I gave it 5 stars). You have to go and help the neighborhoods people and get points and when you have enough you get a star and things will change in the paper.I think this game is really fun, for childeren AND teenagers, even adults probably, I think it is worth the money for buying it (even though I got it free!)but you do have to be patient (why I gave it 4 stars).

MySims is simular to Animal Crossing, it's got a town, flowers andfishing, the item collecting, customising clothes and other peopleliving there. But its easier because theres no mortgage, which is a goodthing. Playing it was really good, theres lots of places to see and theresalot of things to do. I liked playing the raquet game alot. Andmeeting all the other charactors there. Also i like being able to change anddesign your own sim, choosing its eyes, face, clothes, hair etc. Themore you play it the better the game gets as more things get put heresuch as flowers. Then more people move in because theres more attractions. Then businesses open and theres lots of things to do.

I've seen alot of average to bad reviews for this version of My Sims but I personally don't think its that bad at all, in some ways I think its better than Animal Crossing, Which I thaught had alot of annoying little niggles that that this did'nt have. My Sims DS is alot less demanding of your time, the Character customisation is a heck of alot better and the furniture placing is alot more precice just to name a few. I'd like to try the Wii version because aparently its better, but I don't have a Wii at the moment but I think this will be the first game I get when I do get one. I know alot of people will disagree with me, but this is my personal opinion, I hope it helps.

this game is sooo cooool ! lots of things to do lots of levels to unlock. You can unlock & do these things fishing, buy a new house, buy cloths, help shop keepers, make tourists happy, do sky diving, hang gliding and lots more. Help if you can't find your house just go down a little brown path if you look on the map you will find the path leading to your house. And listen to the mare of the town for she will tell you at the beginning of every little game what to do and where to go and tell you what you have unlocked.I hope I have helpedfromEmily

My Sims is a gr8 new game for the nintendo ds or wii. Its a bit like a cross between harvest moon and sims, so if you like either of these then go and buy my sims!!!You get to design and name you character. Your character then does small tasks to advertise the town. You can play games, go fishing and even design your own t-shirt !! I've even become a raquetball champion, which means more people will come to the town. The graphics are fab, the only thing I don't like is that at night all the characters have to go to bed !!!

written by my daughter age 8 -I don't think this game is the best I have ever played. Well at first I thought it was the best game ever. But after a while it gets a bit boring so you should be aware of that. So what is the game is about? So you arrive in this town and they have hardly got any tourist so you need to make them happier to get more. You also have all these little tasks you have to complete so you can complete the level. So I suggest you get this game if you don't mind repetitive games.
