I have an SSD & a larger 7200 RPM HDD in this unit and it works fabulously every time, the SSD performs as well as the internal SSD in my laptop using USB C.The only improvement would be to include a USB 3.1 type A to C adapter cable, which I bought separately for transfer to older systems.

Bought this because it is one of the few enclosures which is 7mm thick. We didn't want the 9.55mm ones as that would have too much room for SSD's to move about and SSD manufacturers stopped supply spacer to prevent movement.
