Have only had this for less than a day, but have used it to copy files from a number of older hard disks onto a new larger hard disk.I have a desktop PC which runs Windows 10, and when I connected this to a USB 3 port all seemed fine. There is a power button on the front of the unit, and a LED indicator for the power on the top of the unit. With the power off (but the USB connected), I attached the first of the older hard disks (they ranged in age from 2003 to 2012 and were all SATA). The disks were easy to both insert and remove from the unit.Then switching the power on, the disk appeared in File Explorer and I could then copy the required files to a new internal hard disk (SATA III).

Great solution to data movement to a new PC without needing to internally wire.Simply slot the 3.5 sata drive in top, connect power, usb, turn on, and appears as drive - and copy was at the max rate of the source disk (and this did get hot was was an old drive!).Will keep in bag of tricks for data recovery tasks - as this will also obviously work for laptop class drives.

When my iMac died suddenly, I had no time to back up the data for the past 2 days. I had to get a new Mac and wanted access to the old disk drive. This worked perfectly. Most of the caddys available are for 2.5 inch drives only whereas this covers both the 2.5 and the 3.5 inch. I needed the 3.5 inch.It got me out of a bad fix very well.Highly recommended

Had one of these which was only USB2 so I had to upgrade to use some old drives on an xbox one which requires USB3. Feels very robust. Bit expensive maybe since you can buy a full 2.5" enclosure including the drive for about double the price but if you need to work with some older 3.5" spinning disks, this is a good option.

I needed a way to access files on my old hard disks and this product was perfect for the job. Easy to install and works well with my IMac.It is lightweight and easy to store away. The key for me was I could use it for old PC hard disks or the smaller laptop hard disk.

Works really well. Was able to use this device with my iMac to restore some photos which had been in the old drive before an SSD upgrade.Plugs into back of the iMac via USB 3 so good speed for transfer had over 200gb of images to move.

Very simple to use, it just works. Tested with a variety of mechanical and solid state drives on Windows 10. Happily allows access to the drive for formatting, has a fast transfer rate from ssd to ssd, and looks neat and tidy.

This is such an easy product to use, it does exactly what it says it does and on a modern USB3 system its really fast. So fast in fact I use it as a game drive, which I hot swap to another PC I have with the same Orico box.

Very easy to use, just slot in the hard disk (make sure you got the correct side) power on and here you go. Read/write speed is OK on USB 3.0 but not that blowing-away fast, maybe it’s my old-school SATA drive a bit slow.

I just bought 2 more so yes I really rate this product. Its out of sight better than its Tecknet equivalent.For 1 thing the computer identifies the drive as what it is not as a generic make eg asmedia.

Works well with 2.5 inch and 3.5 inch drives. Worked with arm boards such as rock64 and raspberry pi 4 without stability issues at decent speeds.

Bought for the workplace and it does its job nicely. Easy to operate, plug and play works very well. Could do with a longer power cord, though.

Easy to use, just drop the drive into the caddy, plug in the USB 3 cable and away you go. Can recommend.
