I had some trouble getting started with this, as my computer initially told me that I needed to format the thing. As it turned out, Vista decided to apply an incompatible file system, which meant that I couldn't connect properly from any device. Fortunately, the support team were quite helpful and informed me of the need to reformat back to the FAT32 system. As coincidence would have it, "Fat, 32" had been the exact tagline that my wife Doreen had used for the advert through which we first met (placed within the singles section of the local Conservative Party's monthly newsletter). However, on this particular occasion, I'm actually quite glad to have come across the information,as full functionality has now been achieved. All in all, it does the advertised job rather well, but it does seem a little pricey for what it is. Just a word of warning- it's rather worrying that they don't even encourage the user to consider applying a password before use. Personally I didn't bother, as I actually get something of a thrill from sitting around in the park, broadcasting open network access to my library of open raincoat pics. Seeing as the photos were taken in private, I'm 99% sure that this doesn't even violate my parole terms (in law at least, if not necessarily in spirit). However, what worries me is the possibility that some of these devices might fall into the hands of MoD staff. If we let those useless imbeciles get hold of such technology, it's only a matter of time before up to two additional devices will be free to connect to a collection of our nuclear secrets. And all thanks to some great big div of an agent, who simply wanted to stream a hooky download of Burt Bacharach to his iPhone during his commute to work.

Since the meteoric rise of cloud storage services for personal customers in the last few years, many people have resigned the humble USB storage stick to the draw. Incompatible with most phones and tablets and remaining something to lose or drag around – it seems dated in 2015. With this device, Sandisk are aiming to rescue portable storage from obscurity but would it drag it out once more?First impressions were good, in that the device looks decent and little has been added to the bulk despite the extra functionality. Where I’ve previously had problems, for example plugging in due to extra plastic around the USB socket wasn’t an issue here and neither was connecting via my phone or tablet – just charge it up,turn it on and the two connect together. Data transfer speeds were reasonable helped by a WiFi connection and seemed pretty stable as a whole.Givent his, I can do little to doubt the quality and usability of this device – it does exactly what it promises to do. What I do cast doubt on though is the usefulness. Without the convenience of accessing anywhere, this simply becomes a USB stick you can also use with your phone or tablet. While there have definitely been identified uses – for example watching a movie that would take too long to upload and download or when in areas of low signal this is still something you have to take around with you. Therefore, while if you’ve seen a significant problem you have that can be solved I can do little but recommend it . If you haven’t though then there are more reasonable and simpler options for you out there.

Bought when it first came out for my iPhone because my phone gets filled up very quickly with photos, videos and apps and you don't get to add your own microSD card! I mainly bought it to take on holidays with me so I can backup my photos, videos, etc when I can't back them up onto an external hard drive or my PC but it's been useful at home as well. I really like the idea of putting videos on the stick to stream (e.g. when travelling) but I haven't tried it yet!It worked quickly and simply out of the packaging and soon after connecting to it on the app, I was saving my photos to it. I've also plugged it into my laptop or PC to back the photos up onto the external hard drive whenever I want.I've never had a problem connecting to it or problems downloading photos or videos onto it. I got the 64GB model as it wasn't too much more expensive. The only annoying thing is that the iPhone connects to the wifi of the drive so you then can't connect to your normal WiFi to look at the internet whilst it's saving photos. It's also small so easy to lose so keep it in a safe place!I've used it for a fair amount of time and not had to recharge it from a USB port yet.I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this product

I bought a sandisk wireless USB when they first came out over two years ago. It has been really useful allowing me to transfer it's to and from my iPad and iPhone. I have been able to stream movies when I'm on a plane, watch films in the bath and listen to music when traveling. My iPad only has a few gigs of space as I have filled it with books and magazines so this expands what I can do enormouslyMy existing USB is battered and bruised so as I have been using it a lot recently to move images and video around iPads for work (I was creating mini films) I thought a new one was in order. This is the latest version. It charges quickly, the on / off button is easy to use and it's well made.My only concern is that the cap on the USB is likely to get lost. Ther previous one had a slider cover but that was an issue as it oft n stopped you plugging the USB in fully. This one connects well.I kind of want to give it 4.9 on the stars because of the cap and one other thing. In the previous one you could swap out the mini flash card on this I can't see how. This means that I'm stuck with the gigs I bought and can't increase. But I bought 64gb so should be fine.

I like this stick, it's freed up a lot of space on my ipad4, and its password protected. The problem is you need to use it via a free app from iTunes, but I didn't realise you need to have certain iOS to use it. So I had thought this would be great for myself and others to use, like my wife's iPad and iPhone4 and my iPhone4,but they are too old to get the free app on, so can't use it. Its easy to change the password, and its name that's seen in the wi-fi connection list, also you can use it whilst it's on charge. It doesn't play videos continually, you need to select them one at a time, I contacted SanDisk to ask them how to make it play continually, and they told me it doesn't.Although it doesn't do exactly what I thought it would for the money, which is a lot, I've kept it knowing it's only of use to me personally in my family, and I can always have all my music and photos with me.

Delivered fast. Initially I thought I couldn't set up because 'no internet' was displayed against the network, but after reading 'troubleshooting' on the Sandisk site I learned that this is irrelevant to set up, meaning only that you can't use their network to surf the net. Didn't take long to charge up and I then transferred some music files to it. Transfer wasn't lightning fast but that didn't bother me. On completion it seemed the stick was empty but this was because I still had it connected to USB; on removing it lo and behold the files all appeared. Accessing them from my iphone was no problem, and there were no issues while the music played. I can now transfer my whole music library and take it with me anywhere, the main objective for me. To sum up I'd say read the instructions carefully, set it up carefully and it'll do what it should. I'm very happy with it.

With so many other reviews commenting on the functionality, I will keep to two basic criteria. One is value for money. You would be hard pressed to find another good quality 32 Gb stick for the current Amazon price of less than £23. I was shocked to find that one of the UK’s best-known IT retailers is charging £45 for the same Sandisk item (obviously they haven’t seen the RRP of £29.99 quoted by Amazon). Sandisk is one of the brand leaders in this field, and you know you're getting a quality item - very important if you're using this for photos/videos of personal significance. The other point worth mentioning is the durability. Some high-capacity wireless sticks seem to have been produced on the assumption that they don’t need to be any tougher than a small capacity stick retailing for a fiver. This one is actually tough and will stand a few knocks and drops.

This fulfils an important function. When your phone or iPad is full, there is no provision for increasing the storage. This device does just that. It extends the memory of your iOS device (in my case by 4-fold) in a wireless fashion, enabling you to move photos and audio and video on to it, thereby freeing up valuable space on the device. If you follow the instructions in detail, almost everything works. OK, it claims tbe able to connect to the Internet via your home WiFi, and this does not work, but it is easy to stream audio and video from it. It is important to download the full manual from the SanDisk web site to get full benefit of all that it can do. This device is unique, there is at present nothing else like it. Quadruple the storage of your expensive iOS device for £70. Who wouldn't do it?

I cannot recommend this enough. Amazing little device which enables me to wirelessly back up photos, as well as being able to stream GBs upon GBs of music without taking up space on my phone. Has been invaluable for long cycling and hiking trips, and best of all the app runs without draining the battery much at all...it also runs in the background allowing you to lock the screen or open other apps/tabs, unlike Youtube. Perfect. Easy to set up and not a single glitch yet.My only complaint is how it connects - it essentially sends out a wifi signal, meaning you cannot connect to the internet through other wifi ports while you're connected to it. I have successfully used mobile data roaming whilst connected to it,though.Brilliant - I love Sandisk and their products.

Quick and easy to set up, holds around 55,000 pics, so far I've cleaned out my iPhone iPad and dslr of holidays and outings. Easy to connect after downloading the sandisk app and although huge downloads take time eventually 25-50 pics can be done in minutes.I'm using it primarily for storing digital camera pics, choosing which to edit, uploading those and once edited with software return the pics back to the sandisk. After initial charge ive not had to recharge it again yet and it presently holds 5500 photos and videos! So not bad from one charge. It has a light on it and when you connect it let's your iPad/phone know what charge is available or if it needs charging, also the light flashes a different colour,I'm not sure what colour because I've not seen it yet!

This drvie is ace, for anyone like me who has an ipad but isn't a member of the Apple ecosystem this is an indespensible piece of tech..it allows me to transfer files, music video and photos from my android phone to my ipad and vice versa, given that I own a Hauwei P20 which takes fabulous photos I can snap away on my phone and edit on my ipad. Setup is easy and the app works great, jut download from the app store and you're away. I think where many come unstuck is that you have to go into your wifi settings and change them to the sandisk connect in order to allow for connection and transfer. All in all a great bit of kit and I will be buying again,I suspect user error is the reason for the mixed reviews in part.

This is basically a 64gb memory stick with built in wireless. I use an iPad and after installing the app (a note of caution here there are various different Sandisk wireless apps so be sure to get the right one or it won't work), and connecting to the wireless signal from the stick, the app then detects the stick and allows for pictures and movies to be transferred wirelessly across - very straightforward. The stick itself seems to be well made and has a small on button on the side. It charges while plugged in to a USB port, and can also be used in the traditional memory stick way via USB. I should point out that the app.Requires IOS 8 or higher - meaning it would not work on my older iPhone 4.

I had just returned from holiday but had to limit my photographs while away due to making the mistake of getting a 16gb iPhone! I was investigating methods to increase the storage of my phone and this is perfect. As soon as you download the app it can easily be set up to back up your camera roll and then asks if you want them deleted too - freeing up that memory! The iOS app seems to work very well. Connecting to a PC over wifi isn't great as its a very basic web page where you can't see thumbnails of your photographs but plug it in and it's a standard USB stick. So far this seems brilliant - I'm amazed such a thing is not highly promoted to increase the storage on an iPhone effectively!

The Sandisk connect wireless stick is a great peice of kit. Firstly using the app which is really easy you can back up your camera roll to free up space on your phone. Which is great especially for iPhones which don't have expandable storage. You can also upload photos, videos, movies and documents and you can view them on your phone tablet etc. Another great feature it that you can use wifi whilst being connected to the stick using the app.All in all I am pleased with this product and it is cool and handy to have your personal cloud like service in the size of a small stick that easily fits in your pocket, bag, etc.

Best electronic storage product of a bit expensive but I bought two anyway. I would buy more if these were cheaper as SSD memory prices have dropped significantly over last two years. I would also prefer it if the built in battery was replaceable by the user. Currently, you have buy a new one if the battery fails after warranty period. Also warranty period of just one year for a SOLID STATE DEVICE with no mechanical moving parts is a bit stingy. Manufacturers should be offering 5 years for what they cost AND IF THEY HAVE FAITH IN THEIR PRODUCT, DESIGN, AND QUALITY CONTROL. I await their response. Still waiting!!
