The Salomon Speedcross is my favorite trail shoe. I have been purchasing this show for years and have never been disappointed. I have worn the Speedcross in Colorado, Utah and Arizona hiking and back packing. They are always comfortable and the aggressive treads make the climbs up rocky paths much easier. This last pair I bought a 6 wide instead of a 6 regular. I am a recently diagnosed diabetic who is on my feet all day for work. This shoe and compression socks are a great fit for my feet as my feet swell at work. While I prefer the look of the regular size shoe I needed the space in the wide. I will say that a wide size is wide front to back of the shoe and that means that my heal slips.

Let me first start by saying that I have some really bad, hard to fit feet. I have planter fasciitis, flat feet, large bunions and numbness in the toes. A real nightmare customer when it comes to buying any shoe, in store or online. When the shoes arrived, I expected to have a problem with one of the issues I have but I was very pleasantly surprised to find that these shoes actually fit! I did not have to be in pain and just deal with it until they were broken in or that I just got used to them. I needed these shoes for a vacation to Arizona where we planned to do some mountain hiking with the family. Not only were they comfortable,

Love these shoes!!! I wear a 9 but because there is so much padding with some athletic shoes, I ordered a 9.5 wide. I'm new to hiking. They do not provide the ankle support as boots do but I'm really not concerned with that. I don't do a lot of activity or hike in areas where I would worry about ankle support. Maybe someday but in the meantime, I LOVE these shoes!!! They're so easy to put on and tighten. Sturdy enough for hiking but casual and light enough that I wear to the gym on the treadmill and elliptical. It really feels like I'm in my bare feet. Well worth the cost!!!

I ordered a pair of Solomon's size 11M a couple of years ago and had no toe room. I ended up loosing a toenail after a 15 mile ocr because my toe was pinned the whole time and couldn't breathe.Initially, I thought these shoes were to big, but after trying them on and tightening around the mid-foot area, they're very comfortable. I took them for a run and to a obstacle workshop and they were perfect! Glad I bought the 11W.

I was nervous to order shoes online, but thanks to reviews, I took a chance on these. After a knee injury and a 20 pound weight gain, I realized the size of the toe box is crucial for me. Also, I recently slipped in the mud on a trek through the woods. As you can imagine, I avoid having another injury like the plague, these shoes addressed all of my issues perfectly! I will buy them again when these wear out! Love them!

I purchased these shoes for a Spartan Beast in Colorado. These shoes were AWESOME! Great fit, great traction and did great in and after the water obstacle where they were completely under water. I would highly recommend these for trail running or OCRs! I know there are reviews that say the tread wears quickly, but I would happily buy these same shoes again if/when the tread wears. Loved the wide size!

Only deducted a star because of the misleading listing. I purchased an 8.5, which is not marked as a wide size on the dropdown menu, but the shoes I received were 8.5W . Spoke to Amazon customer service and they confirmed that all of the shoes in this listing are wide, even those that aren't marked as such. If you're looking for these shoes in a M width, there is a separate item listing.

These are by far the most gorgeous and fit like a glove runners I’ve ever owned! Extremely well made, rich stunning teal colours, super comfy! Highly recommend! I have size 11 wide feet so I wasn’t sure ordering by mail would work, but it doesn’t get any better than this. Plus I saved $60 as they were on sale. Will continue to order from this company!

I ordered them without seeing the womens in the description. They said 10.5W, which solomons never makes so I bought them and saw the "women's" in the description. I got them planning on returning but they fit me just fine. I've worn mens size 10.5 Wide since forever. Unless of course womens and mens sizes are the same...hmmm

I know a lot of people say this but I’m really not one to write reviews but had to for this. I bought these to hike in Yosemite Park and I was not disappointed. I ordered them in wide width just in case and they fit perfectly. Did not get any blisters and the traction was more than expected. Definitely a great purchase.

I am frequently barefoot and a dancer...my feet have widened as a result (I'll take that over bunions any day!)I am also a Spartan athlete, so I need some serious shoes that won't cause me pain and/or discomfort.These came highly recommended and I'm very happy. In the picture I'm wearing gaiters with the shoes.

Love them. They are very comfortable. If you have even the slightest bunion, I recommend going with the wide. I own some Asics and these run narrow like them. I believe these shoes are true to size too. I love these shoes not just for the comfort, but the style and color. They are beautiful running shoes.

Best athletic shoe I’ve ever bought ... bar none.. comfortable right out of the box , no rubbing blisters on my heels, fits perfect, cleans up in a breeze ! Love these ... will probably buy several pair cuz when they stop making them I won’t be able to get them ... will need a stash of them

I have never bought wide fit Salomon before and I wear them all the time...what a difference...these are so comfortable I have been able to wear them for 2 hour training sessions with my agility dogs straight away. I will be looking for the wide fit in future.

Very comfortable and they are non slip. I wore them yesterday for 2 miles and today for 7 miles. The are a little loose & inserts are to flat for me, I switched them out with my Dr. Scholls inserts as I need arch support and they fit perfect!! Love them
